Ryden was fast....much faster then Killianw as really comfortable with but that didn;t really matter at the moment especially considering that Ryden had Gardener's friend around the neck in the same manner that Gardener had Alexis...it was a good old fashion un-dead stand-off.
"Apologies...Obviously, our last meeting has left me more than a little irritated. You understand the feeling, right Killian?"
Killian's eyes snapped over to Gardener as he heard his name...the calm tone that had suddenly taken over was a bit un-nerving to say the least.
Killian shuddered but had very little time to do anything else as he found himself with Gardener's arm drapped over his shoulder...the vampire was waaaaaaaaaaay too close for any sort of comfort.
"You can't blame the boy for attacking vampires. It's what they've been trained to do. What was that show?"
Killian flinched out of habbit as Gardener tapped against his chest.
"Muffy...Fluffy...Buffy...that's it. Buffy the Vampire Slayer-right there, human's being taught to attack vampires. Can't fault that. But vampires attacking other vampires, that's a problem."
Killian probably could have come up with a handful of smart ass remarks but the close proximity of Gardener and the fact that it felt as if he had swallowed his own throat kept Killian rather silent which in itself was a form of miracle.
Killian took a few staggered steps backwards once Gardener had moved away from him; he hated to admitt it but he was rather surprised to find himself with a completely attached neck and Gardener still in the room.
"......We'll sort out the details, leave Killian and Alyssa to get to know one another, and then you three can be on your way with all this unpleasantness behind us."
Though the plan seemed better then anyone they had before Killian couldn't help but feel slightly less then ok with being left alone in a room with a girl who had looked at him like he was a Sunday buffet.
"....Or Killian could not stay alone...in the room...with the vampire chick who wants to eat him," Killian muttered under his breath as he sat down on the bottom step.

Ryden kept his eyes firmly trained upon Gardener as he made his way over to Killian and his grip tightened on Alyssa as Gardener put his arm around the boy. When it appeared that Wild had no immediate desire to harm the boy Ryden allowed his grip upon the vampire to lighten ever so slightly but he still had her firmly and dangerously in his hands.
"There's no need to spill innocent blood of our own kind, Mr. Compton. This matter is between you, myself and Alexis. Now why don't you unhand her, and you, myself and Ms. London can discuss our previous meeting privately? We'll sort out the details, leave Killian and Alyssa to get to know one another, and then you three can be on your way with all this unpleasantness behind us."
Ryden was a reasonable man and he would like to think he was also a very just man and yet what little that he knew of Gardener Wild told him that this man...this monster was anything but.
"Deal? Or no deal?"
Ryden's eyes locked with Alexs' for a moment before quickly returning to Gardener it did not appear that she was in any danger which therefor made him to dangerous party now with ALyssa still within his grasp.
"Deal."
Ryden answered swiftly and sharply as he grasped Alexis' hand with the speed of a cobra and pulled her behind him as he pushed Alyssa into Gardener's arms. Now everyone seemed to be back with whom they belonged and some sort of balance had been retsored.
Ryden turned his eyes towards Killian who had mutterd under his breath seemingly forgetting that vampires had excellent hearing.
"She will not harm you," Ryden stated his eyes locking with Alyssa for a moment before returning to Wild.

Alexis realized that both she and Gardener were in a competition. They were both attempting to squeeze the other harder until they gave up. But she appeared to have won, because Gardener suddenly let go of her throat.
"Apologies...Obviously, our last meeting has left me more than a little irritated. You understand the feeling, right Killian?"
Alexis spun around, glaring at Gardener. She didn't like him moving so close to Killian-not to make any point on the planet.
"You've made your point, Gardener. You're angry." She frowned as his hand was suddenly on hers and leading her towards Compton. Gardener was up to something. And Alexis didn't like it.
She kept her gaze firmly on Ryden's for a long moment. She was more than relieved when he took her hand and pulled her behind him. Alexis felt the need to place her hands gently on his waist. Why, she had no idea. She was perfectly capable of taking care of herself, it wasn't like she needed a man to hide behind.
"If we're going to speak like rationally thinking members of the undead race, why don't we take this party upstairs?" She turned her eyes quickly towards the stairs and then back to Gardener as her right hand slipped down to take Ryden's left.

That was a terrible idea. Not that Alyssa could express her dislike for that plan as she was currently being held very tightly by the throat, but she did not like the idea of being left alone, hungry, with a human who she couldn't feed on under pain of death.
"Deal."
Unfortunately that meant that she had to do as she was told as Compton struck her as a man who was true to his word. Dammit. She gasped in slight surprise as Compton pushed her into Gardener's arms, and put her hand to her throat lightly where it felt a little bruised.
"She will not harm you,"
Alyssa met Compton's gaze and nodded reluctantly. "Sure I won't, as long as he stays all the way over there."

Gardener waited patiently for Compton's response. He was fully prepared to act if the other vampire turned down his offer-but Compton didn't need to know that yet.
"Deal."
"Lovely." Gardener smirked as Compton nearly ripped Alexis out of his grasp. He caught Alyssa against his chest as she was just as violently pitched into his own arms.
"Are you all right?" He smoothed Alyssa's hair back, examining the marks on her flesh. He had to pretend he would let it go, but he had no intentions of letting Compton get away with it.
"This will only take me a few moments." He kissed her cheek lightly. "And then we'll be on our way. In the meantime, I'm sure Alexis won't mind if you pick up a few items from her merchandise...as payment for not murdering Killian."
Gardener squeezed her arms quickly and turned to head towards the stairs. Killian was blocking his way. Pitching the boy out of his way was his action of choice, but that would cause more problems. And he had every intention of leaving Killian for Alyssa.
"Excuse me." He put one foot on the step beside Killian and tapped the boy's leg lightly with the other foot. "I need to use these."

"She will not harm you."
Ryden saying it didn't help Killian trust the new vampire chick any more.
"Sure I won't, as long as he stays all the way over there."
"Dude I'm the one who lives here," Killian snapped not entirely pleased about being ordered about like a snack again. Honestly these vampires could look into a hamburger and then maybe they wouldn;t be so uptight all the time.
"Excuse me...I need to use these."
Killian could think of a few actions that involved Gardener and the stairs but it usually always ended up with the vampire in pieces at the bottom and that was highly not helpful in their "peace-making" even though Killianw as pretty sure this was all major bull shit.
"And here I thought you could just turn into a bat and fly up to the 2nd floor," Killian muttered with a slight smirk as he pushed himself up from the stairs and made his way over to the couch before dropping down on it. He ignored Alyssa for the most part and looked over at Alexis hoping she knew...which she probably did that Wild was full of it.
Slouching further down into the couch Killian amused himself by counting the cracks in the ceiling above him or making up cracks to count since Alexis didn;t have much out of place in her shop. He figured once the others left it would no doubt get extremley boring and uncomfortable what with Alyssa wanting to eat him and Killianw anting to kill her.
....Good times.

"Sure I won't, as long as he stays all the way over there."
"Like I stated...she will not harm you," Ryden repeated once more his eyes never leaving Alyssa.
"If we're going to speak like rationally thinking members of the undead race, why don't we take this party upstairs?"
Ryden carefully secured his own hands with Alexis' as he felt her grip upon him and he watched for a moment as Gardener made his way towards Killian. He watched the other vampire carefully incase anything in their "deal" managed ot change quickly and without warning but as he saw Killian get up...all be it not very pleased Ryden wondered if perhaps this could go in a rather civil manor.
"Be hospitable Killian," Ryden recommended as he followed steps after Wild his hand still within Alexis' keeping her close so that he could protect her as best as was within his power. He felt responsible for what happened to her and to Killian as well especially considering that it was amde all the mroe worse by his ex wife a woman who he had made th ehcoice to turn and now went about making life hell for all of those that she could.
Yes he would protect her till he no longer drew breath if he had to.
"We will need to make this meeting brief as we do have other engagements to see to Mr. Wild...I am sure you and Ms. Alyssa have plans of your own to attend to," Ryden stated as they went up the stairs of the shop.

Alexis didn't move a muscle as Gardener approached Killian. Gardener could snap at any minute. She suspected that she knew Gardener well enough to know that if he was being this rational, chances were he wanted something big.
I'm sure Alexis won't mind if you pick up a few items from her merchandise...as payment for not murdering Killian."
Since Alexis figured that Ryden's advice of being hospitable went for her as well, she determined that she was not going to fight this battle.
"Of course. Help yourself." She shrugged to the other vampire and motioned around the room with the hand that wasn't holding Ryden's. "And don't worry, Killian. We'll be back in just a few minutes. Because Mr. Compton is correct, Gardener, our time is valuable this evening."
She followed close behind Ryden towards the stairs. She wanted this game over and done with and Gardener out of her hair. If this could resolve the situation, she was very happy to participate. But for some reason, she figured this was just starting something new.

"Are you all right?"
Alyssa nodded. "I'm fine," she assured Gardener as he examined the bruises on her neck. She was annoyed, and hungry but physically at least, she was fine. The bruises would fade in no time... faster if she could get a damn meal into her. She gave him a small smile as he kissed her cheek and resigned herself to staying put, hoping that Gardener either killed Alexis quickly, thus rendering her claim on the human null and putting him back on the menu, or sorted out whatever issues they clearly had equally as quickly so she could eat elsewhere.
"Dude I'm the one who lives here,"
"Yes, and if you want to continue doing so, you'll stay as far out of my reach as you possibly can," she warned him, not threateningly, simply trying to impress upon him the importance of staying away from a hungry vampire.
As Killian sat himself down on the couch, Alyssa began perusing the varying articles of clothing and other items Alexis had for sale. Not out of any real interest to take anything, more out of the desire to keep herself occupied and away from Killian. Though that wasn't to say that Alexis didn't have great taste. If the circumstances had been different Alyssa would have been more than happy to purchase anything in the shop.
"Are you going to answer my question?" she asked finally, ignoring Killian getting too hard as no matter where she moved within the shop he was always within smelling distance.

"Nope, no harming anyone." Gardener smiled as he turned back to the others in the room. "And thank you for moving, Killian. Very much appreciated."
He gave the human a quick wink before starting up the staircase. He had no intentions of dragging things out, but he needed to make it appear he was going to be as amicable as possible. Alexis could no doubt see through him, but he most likely could fool Compton...whom he barely knew.
Upstairs, Gardener flipped a lightswitch in the living room and strolled over to Alexis's stereo and CD collection in the corner of the room. Flipping through the CDs, he frowned in disguest.
"Haven't you ever heard of REM? It wouldn't kill you to have something before 1800 in your collection."
He selected the first CD which looked appealing....something to cut down on any noise which might fliter downstairs. Turning it on, he nodded as the Mama's and the Papas "Dedicated to the One I Love" filled the room. Satisfied, Gardener threw himself down on the sofa while kicking his feet up onto the coffee table.

"Be hospitable Killian."
"Yes father," Killian replied acidly as he allowed his eyes to shut before mentally kicking hismelf and sitting up; he had to be out of his mind sitting there with his eyes closed while an insane vampire prawled the room looking for clothes...there was a lot wrong with that sentence.
Killian attempted to ignore the vampire in the room by staring at his shoes but that proved to be just as easy as ignoring a giant purple elephant tap dancing.
"Are you going to answer my question?"
"About my stunning personality?...Why yes I have always been this charming...and yes it comes very easy," Killian responded with a smirk.
He knew what it was she wanted and he also knew she wouldn;t be getting it from him. Nobody alive nor dead save for Esther knew all of the details of what it was that kept Killian alive; hell he was rather certain he didn't even have all the ins and outs.
Killian had a feeling the other vampire wasn;t going to let it go and all he could really do was hope that the others didn't make a 3 hour tour out of their meeting upstairs.
"I spy with my little eye something......" Killian paused for a moment searching teh room for an object.
"Orange."

Ryden watched Gardener carefully once they had entered the livingroom. It would have been nice to trust the man at his word but Ryden knew very little about him and therefor kept his trust very close. Pulling out a chair at the small table Ryden motioned for Alexis to take a seat if she had wanted one.
Ryden was rather unimpressed as Gardener began to fumble about with records and the like and he knew very well it was all just a plan to waste time or get under his skin both of which Wild was accomplishing.
"Your point Mr. Wild I suggest you get to it before our time expires and we are on our way; unless of course you came to speak upon music then by all means speak as much as you like."
The man was boring and rather full of hot air and Ryden had very little patience or need to be surronded with such beasts but right now it seemed to be a needed evil if ever there was one.
Ryden kept akeen ear on what was occuring down below them as well and should there be any sorts of trouble between Killian and the other vampire he would be certain to respond within the blink of an eye.
"Is there anything you require Alexis as Mr. Wild gets his thoughts into order?" Ryden asked turning away from Gardener for a moment and focusing upon Alexis.

Alexis was ready to rip her hair out. Gardener seemed to get more maddening by the second. The fact that he was touching her things would have sent her blood pressure through the ceiling if she had one.
"Haven't you ever heard of REM? It wouldn't kill you to have something before 1800 in your collection."
"Feet off of my coffee table, Gardener." She told him, tapping his ankles lightly. She turned as she heard the sound of a chair moving. Looking over at Ryden, she gave him a faint smile but shook her head no. Getting comfortable around Gardener didn't sound like a good idea at all.
"There's a number of things I require." She told Ryden. "Unfortunately none of them are possible right now."
She took a step closer to the staircase. It was Killian she was worried about. Any sound of trouble from below and Gardener could talk about whatever he wanted-she wouldn't be here to hear it.

"About my stunning personality?...Why yes I have always been this charming...and yes it comes very easy,"
Alyssa sighed, though it was possible it came out more of a growl. He was almost likeable... for a human. That didn't take away from the fact that he would probably taste delicious if she could ever get her teeth into him... Goddammit why didn't she eat before she came here? She sighed again and pulled out one of the dresses on the rack, holding it up against herself to see the fit before shaking her head and placing it back where she had found it.
"I spy with my little eye something......Orange."
She turned to look at him, eyebrows raised. "Are you kidding me?" she asked, folding her arms across her chest. "I'm standing here doing my damndest not to eat you and you're playing 'I Spy?'" she shook her head at him before waving her arm in the general direction of an orangeish painting on the wall. "...that thing?"

Gardener rolled his eyes. It was obvious that both Alexis and Compton were intent on making sure that the boy stayed safe. He doubted that Alyssa would break a vampire law, but he figured he better keep this brief anyway. The boy was human, and if he had some knack for coming back to life, Gardener didn't feel like sorting that out right now. He had other issues to deal with for the moment.
"Yes dear." He swung his feet onto the floor, winking at Alexis. "Did she tell you we used to go out? Ah, that was good times, huh babe?"
Gardener got to his feet, strolling passed Alexis long enough to pull her hair half jokingly and half seriously.
"But I'll get to my point-look, you two want to go about keeping humans as pets, that's just great. I'm more of a cat person myself, but to each his own. All I'm saying is that before you let a guy unknowingly break a vampire law, it might be fun to tell him that said law is in effect."
He wandered over to stand next to Compton. Reaching into his pocket, he subtly withdrew one of the syringes of dead man's blood. He kept it tucked under his shirt sleeve.
"That's my only point, Mr. Compton. You understand, right?" He clapped the other vampire on the shoulder and took advantage of the moment to press the tip of the needle in his hand into the vampire's skin. Depressing the dark liquid from the needle into the man's blood, Gardener shrugged.
"Just sayin'."
