Being back in the 'safety' of her redesigned church, Lilith new that visiting Samael had been a bad idea. It was a nice idea, trying to fight what she had become, forsaking Lucifer, trying to be who she was... but it would never happen. Even trapped in Hell Lucifer was too powerful, and without Sam's presence, Lucifer's influence on her was impossible to shake. So much so, that she found herself pacing the pews of her church, restless, itching to go out and kill something.
But she forced herself not to, a demon of her power, however heavily under the influence of the Morning Star, had some bearing of self-control. If only a little. Lilith made her way to her little sanctuary at the back of church and sighed as she lay down on top of her chest of treasures. Her arm dropped from her side and she traced circles in the ground absently, trying to think of something - anything - to do.
She had such a large number of plans all working right now. But she couldn't attend to any of them too soon or they would be ruined. She supposed she could make fun of the Jesus statue in the main hall, but that seemed petty even to her. Lilith sighed again.
She was just so bored.

The drive home had been silent; not for lack of Mercy’s trying but Carter was past the point of words. She needed to be gone and he had shit to do. If there was something Carter was good at it was making people feel like shit and pushing them away; Mercy was gone within the hour. He had driven the rest of the night till he reached the small town in Mississippi which held the church which supposedly held the grace stealing demon bad ass he was meant to go up against. By Carter slammed the Jeep into park a few ways out from the church the anger which had been simmering just below the surface had grown into a full blown rage which caused the street lamps around him to crackle in protest and flicker as he stalked past them.
Carter had packed light…or as light as a mercenary generally packed. A few knives…a sword or two…or three and a gun simply for good measure or incase he got bored as far as everything else went Carter was more then certain he would be able to make up the difference. Carter could feel the power before he ever reached the church; it was staggering but nothing Carter couldn’t deal with. Fuck if he had wanted to show off he could have lit the damn place on fire and had been done with it…but then again that would have been counter productive.
“Knock knock fuckers,” Carter whispered with a smirk as he pulled his two swords from their sheaths and cracked his neck slightly. The low growls of nearby hellhounds was not a surprise and the two demons who appeared before him was a pleasant surprise. Wasting no time Carter struck out at the two and neatly sliced the heads off sending black smoke bellowing into the night sky. Approximately 5 minutes afterwards the ground outside the church was soaked in the blood of hellhounds and demons alike. Carter could see the symbols etched upon the walls of the church; symbols which had kept out the winged wonders but would do fuck all at keeping him out.
Sliding one sword back into it’s holder Carter kept the other securely in hand as he pushed open the doors to the church. The hallways within were dark and seemingly empty; Carter of course knew better.
Slicing forward sharply the quick pained yelp of a hellhound screamed through the hall and moments later blood ran down the hall as if the stones were bleeding since there was no body to be seen…not by the naked eye.
“Sorry about that Cujo,” Carter muttered creeping through the darkness his eyes fighting to adjust in the dark.
With the amount of security around the church Carter was willing to bet that mom had left the graces to be babysat while she was out pulling the feathers off of penguins. Coming to a wooden door in the back of the church Carter cast a glance behind him as the silence ran through the church. If he listened carefully he was certain he could here blood sliding down the walls but there was something else there. Something strong and something which fed off of the anger buried deep within Carter.
Forcing the door open Carter allowed his eyes to adjust to the dimness, which lay behind it. He had never been one who went on treasure hunts he had been the killing and collecting sort of guy the seeking out treasure was not a strong point but if he had to start somewhere Carter was willing to bet the bible box on the back alter would be just the place to start…that and the area reeked of angelic graces. Making his way quickly across the room Carter kept to the shadows until the alter forced him out and into the open before it.
“Cheers Lassie,” Carter muttered as he forced open the bible box and couldn’t help slightly feeling like Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom.

Lilith simply listened to the sounds of slaughter for a moment, thinking herself dreaming, until she realised that the sounds of slaughter were actually coming from inside her church. And it didn't sound like the demons were having a party either. If the demonic yelps of the hellhounds were anything to go by, someone had gotten in.
Interesting.
She slid off the top of the box and landed daintily on her feet before making her way towards the main hall of the church. There was another yelp of pain and Lilith couldn't suppress a wince as she heard another of her hounds die. The closer she got to the hall, the more power she could feel. Obviously whatever had decided to intrude upon her sanctuary was very powerful, and not just because whatever hellhounds weren't dead appeared to have fled.
Hovering in the doorway between her quiet room and the main hall, Lilith kept herself in shadow and remained unseen as she watched the intruder make his way across the room towards the altar at the very back. A tremble ran through her at the amount of power that eminated from the figure and she bit back a small gasp of surprise.
What on earth was a nephilim doing in her church?
It seemed he was here for the graces, she decided, watching him move towards the altar. Thankfully that was not where she kept the graces. It was a red herring of sorts, even the demons that had once been guarding her church had thought the graces were in there, in case somebody decided to try and take them from her. Though she couldn't for the life of her figure out what a nephilim would want with the graces of dead angels.
In a moment she had moved from the doorway to the center of the aisle behind the nephilim, watching him as he forced open the little bible box.
"You killed my puppies," she accused.

Carter glared down into the empty Bible box for several moments; his frown deepened as each moment came and went. He should have known it wouldn’t have been that easy…that would have been…well it would have been easy.
“Fucking dem…”
"You killed my puppies.”
Carter froze his eyes still staring down into the empty wooden box. That was slightly unexpected. He had felt the power around the church but he had chalked it up to residual power left over the place to fight off the likes of things like him. Then again they hadn’t been to good at keeping him out but the element of surprise was with her…and that truly pissed him off as he hated surprises.
“I like to think of it more along the lines of fucking slaughtered them,” Carter corrected the demon as he turned around his hazel eyes locking with hers as he took stock of his current situation. The demon was alone which was a step in the right direction at least; the problem was of course being the massive amount of power Carter could feel radiating off of the demon.
“Seems like I’ve entered the boss fight,” Carter muttered more to himself then to the demon as he slipped his second sword out of the holder and into his waiting palm. Spinning the swords slightly in his grasp he cracked his neck again and glared back at the demon.
“I would offer the easy way but frankly I enjoy killing things so if you don’t mind we can we commence the me killing you portion of today’s show?” Carter asked taking a step backwards as he situation himself around the idea of going against a powerful demon…he had killed a fucking angel though he was rather certain he would be fine.
Rather certain.

“I like to think of it more along the lines of fucking slaughtered them,”
Lilith's eyes rolled back until they were entirely white as she locked eyes with the nephilim. She had grown very fond of those hellhounds and as she saw watched their blood pooling on the stone floor, she could feel herself growing angry. But she forced herself to remain calm. There was no doubt in her mind that this would result in a fight, but she also knew that she had never fought a nephilim before, and she didn't know if she could win.
At least she wasn't bored any more.
She took small steps towards him, her dress rustling as she moved and her shoes clicking as they hit the stone floor. The trick, she had decided, was to remain confident and keep control of the situation. Possibly easier said than done, but Lilith was the first demon, not some lackie to be easily dispatched.
“I would offer the easy way but frankly I enjoy killing things so if you don’t mind we can we commence the me killing you portion of today’s show?”
Eyeing the second sword he had pulled and smirking slightly at his step backwards, Lilith stopped walking and tilted her head to the side. After a moment, a playful smile spread across her face and she tilted her head forward in a slight bow.
"As you wish."

Carter stood his ground and did his best not to look away as the demon's eyes rolled till only white shown through. Usually he hated when they would go all black eyes of doom on him but apparently white was the color in fashion and it was a bit of a fucking effect.
"You may wanna get that looked at," Carter muttered allowing the nephilim side to feed off of the energy in the church. He had used a bit of his juice while playing the bust in and bustin up game but had been smart enough to keep some in reserve in case the shit hit the fan...which it usually did.
He had preferred when the demon had been walking towards him much more then when she stopped and shot what he assumed was meant to be a smile his way.
"As you wish."
"Fan fuckingtastic."
Without waiting another second Carter launched himself at the demon with a low growl which caused the walls around them to tremble. Any other time he would have blowing the world up in a fit of rage but currently he didn't give a shit. Striking out violently Carter aimed the slice the demon clean through the heart.

Lilith shifted her weight imperceptively, preparing herself for the Nephilim's strike. She wasn't stupid enough to attack first while he had those swords in his hands, especially since she was sure at least one of them was actually capable of killing her.
"Fan fuckingtastic."
She darted out of his way as he launched himself at her, her eyes never leaving the sword that swung towards her. It only just missed her, scratching along her arm as she jumped into the air, and landed on the edge of one of the pews. The throbbing pain of energy slowly draining from her lead her to conclude that that sword was probably the first one she needed to get rid of.
Without a moment's thought, Lilith spun around and kicked out at the spot between his shoulder blades, intendeding to knock him off balance, before leaping tbackwards a couple of pews, well out of reach of any swinging swords.
"Naughty boy, swearing in a church," she said with a giggle. "He won't be very happy with you."

Carter muttered a slew of curses as the sword sliced past the demon only slicing into her flesh ever so slightly. He glared at the think line of blood which trailed down the blade and staggered forward slightly as it kicked him between the shoulder blades throwing him slightly off balance. turning around sharply Carter immediately located the demon once again now slightly out of striking range. The kill was much more enjoyable when they fought back; going up against lackeys was never fun.
"Naughty boy, swearing in a church. He won't be very happy with you."
"He never is. Helps to cut down on the disappointment," Carter allowing the swords to spin within his grasp before securely grabbing a hold of them once again. Striking out at a nearby statue of the Virgin Mary Carter never took his eyes off the demon as the statues head shattered to the ground.
"It seems though that you have something that belongs to his winged wonders and I promise to kill you quick if you hand them over," Carter explained brushing the blood from the blade as he made his way back towards the demon. His eyes circled the area slightly taking stock of what he had to work with.
"So how about it sweetheart? 13 graces for a sword through the heart?" Carter asked before launching himself at the demon once more. His aim wasn't at her this time though as he sliced open the burning oil canister and shoved the candle stand upon the flames. Snapping his arm around the demon he yanked her towards the mini inferno and hurled her to the flames.

"He never is. Helps to cut down on the disappointment,"
Lilith narrowed her eyes ever so slightly as the Virgin's Mary's head hit the ground and shattered. It wasn't the statue she was annoyed about - she'd never liked mary anyway - it was the fact that he was making a mess that she no longer had demons to clean up. She would have to do it herself.
"It seems though that you have something that belongs to his winged wonders and I promise to kill you quick if you hand them over,"
"I didn't know He was using nephilim's as errand boys now," Lilith mused tauntingly. Though she still had a smile on her face, her eyes were focused only on the nephilim, watching him closely. Without taking her eyes off of him, she raised a hand to the scratch on her arm and smeared the blood so it would stop running down her arm.
"So how about it sweetheart? 13 graces for a sword through the heart?"
Lilith didn't have time to reply as he once again leaped at her. This time though she didn't get out of the way in time and suddenly found herself flung into flames. She felt the flames engulf climb up her dress and engulf her and she began to scream in agony. She gave the nephilim a pleading look as if asking him for mercy.
But then her screams of agony dissolved into cackles of glee as she stepped out of the inferno, calmly patting the remaining lames from what was left of her dress.
"Darling," she scolded, drawing herself upright. "I was born of fire."
A bright light began emitting from her hand and she raised it, aiming for the sword that had cut her, and released a blast of energy to disarm him.

Carter took a few steps back as the flames grew and quickly engulfed the demon. He was certain the oil had something to do with it but positive that his own charged up powers had more than a helping hand is causing the flames to grow at such a rapid rate. Cringing slightly at the demons screams he allowed his eyes to dart around the room as the demon had sent a pleading look his way. He was all about the killing but fire was a bit brutal even for him and he would be in a bit of a shit storm if he couldn’t locate the graces on his own now that the demon was becoming Kentucky fried chicken.
Eyeing an old bookcase which held hymns and bibles Carter figured perhaps that would be as good of a place to start as any. Taking a step towards the case and sliding the regular sword back into it sheath Carter did his best to drown out the demons screams with a “Itsy Bitsy Spider” humming it wasn’t until the screams died off and cackles of glee resounded off the walls of the room that his attention snapped back to where the burning body of the demon should have been.
Instead of a charcoaled body Carter was more than slightly surprised to the demon merely fussing at her burnt dress.
"Darling, I was born of fire."
“Of course you fucking were,” Carter muttered thinking perhaps he should have done a bit more research on this Lilith demon before jumping headlong into his mission. He had figured the point s of importance to know was that she was a powerful demon and that was that…apparently there was a bit more to it than that.
Taking a defensive stance Carter held tightly to the blessed sword in his grasp. The sword was the only sure fire thing which could kill a demon…or well it was the quickest way. He did have other means but they took a bit more time and a lot more power than he was very to dabble with just yet. He had all of a moment’s notice to process the light which had gathered in the demon’s palm and the very next second a flash of searing heat hit his hand. The sword went flying across the room and Carter yanked his hand back the skin an angry shade of red.
His eyes darkened considerably as he returned his gaze to the demon.
“Not a foreplay sort of girl then?” Carter asked maliciously as he pulled his other sword from the carrier and for a moment he vanished only to appear a moment later directly behind the demon. Without wasting another moment Carter drove the sword clean through the demons back with enough force that it burst through her midsection with a splatter of blood.
“Now where are those graces?” Carter snapped keeping a firm grip upon the sword. This sword wouldn’t kill her immediately like other would have but chopping her to itty bitty pieces would be a good effect as well.

“Of course you fucking were,”
Lilith was more than a little pleased at the surprise on the nephilim's face. She did so enjoy toying with her opponents. It would be such a shame to have to kill him.
Not that would stop her from trying.
“Not a foreplay sort of girl then?”
A small gasp escaped the demon's lips as the sword burst through her abdomen. It hurt a little, but that wasn't really the issue. Lilith quite liked this host, it was her favourite to date. And now it had a gaping hole in it. She stared down at the sword protruding from her stomach, her blood dripping off the end.
“Now where are those graces?
"Well I never," she muttered angrily to herself as she stepped forward and off the sword, pressing a hand to the wound and turning around to glare at the nephilim.
"I'm hardly going to tell the one ruining my favourite meat suit, am I?" she growled, shaking her hand free of blood. Though it would probably be a good idea to at least get close to them. In the same box as the graces, was also her grace stealing knife, and while it was hardly a match for a sword, it was at least a weapon of some kind. And who knew what a knife like that would do to the bastard child of an angel?
"You should learn to ask for things nicely," Lilith scolded. "People are more receptive to manners."

"Well I never."
Carter would have hoped that a sword through the chest would have gotten more of a reaction then general discontent from the demon but he was certain the fact that it was in fact a demon had everything to do with it. The regular sword wouldn't kill it but he would have hoped to at least make life a tad bit uncomfortable...just a tad at least.
"I'm hardly going to tell the one ruining my favourite meat suit, am I?"
"Or you could get your head cu off and mounted on that there crucifix," Carter explained gesturing behind them.
"The choice is yours of course."
From what Carter knew about demons he knew their powers much like those of angels were rather endless especially a high powered demon and from what Carter had been able to gather from the Winged pricks Lilith was just that. He couldn't be 100% certain but he was rather positive that holy water wouldn't work on the demon and his Latin sucked enough to make an exorcism pointless. No this would have to be dealt with the good old fashion bloody way.
"Besides the outfit isn't that impressive. I've seen a lot better meat suits running around out there."
"You should learn to ask for things nicely. People are more receptive to manners."
"Maybe that's why I don't have any friends...and here I thought it was my bright personality intimidating them," Carter explained with a sneer as he took several steps towards Lilith until he was standing directly in front of her.
"And besides neither one of us is close to being human," Carter snapped as his hands tore around the demons neck and forcefully slammed its head backwards against the stones. With every blow he could feel the pure anger rising within him and his movements became more erratic and the air in the small space around them literally crackled with unused power.
"Tell me where the graces are or I am gonna paint the walls with your fucking brains," Carter growled his eyes burning down into the demons.
"Please," he nearly spat the words back at her his light brown eyes growing dark by the second.

"Or you could get your head cut off and mounted on that there crucifix... The choice is yours of course."
Lilith tilted her head to the side as if considering this offer and trying to decide which option she preferred, before simply shaking her head at the nephilim. Having her head cut off with the current sword he held she would not die. Though she would lose this wonderful vessel. At least this one had a twin she supposed.
"Maybe that's why I don't have any friends...and here I thought it was my bright personality intimidating them,"
Ignoring his words, Lilith instead narrowed her eyes at the nephilim as she wondered why on earth he was moving closer to her. She had already shown that, thus far, his methods were ineffective.
"And besides neither one of us is close to being human,"
The last thing she had expected was for the nephilim to close his hands around her throat and foce her head back into the wall. Repeatedly. Under normal circumstances, such an act probably wouldn't have accomplished much, but seeing as her opponent was a highly pissed off nephilim, the pain in the back of her head burned like what she imagined reguarly people would feel when consumed by fire. And her vision began to go black.
"Tell me where the graces are or I am gonna paint the walls with your fucking brains,"
Well that hardly seemed logical, Lilith thought drowsily. If she didn't tell him where they were now, she could hardly tell him with her brain all over the wall. Silly nephilim.
"Please,"
She almost wanted to laugh at that, but it hardly seemed appropriate.
"The graces?" she managed, placing her hands on the nephilim's upper arms and digging her fingers into him until she had a firm grip. With extreme difficulty, Lilith pried his hands away from her neck and kicked out at him, sending him flying into the small room, crashing against the chest.
Coughing, and holding a hand to the back of her head where she could feel her hair matted with blood, Lilith stumbled after him and, gripping him by the throat lifted him into the air. "Oh I dunno, somewhere around here."

"The graces?"
Carter's eyes continued to burn with a new sort of focus and the problem now was that though he heard the demon he hardly "heard" the demon. There was a side of him...one he attempted to keep buried deep but in instances like this it tore through him and it was more then the side that the angels were worried would end the world one day.
Having been consumed by the death and violence side of him he didn't much pay attention to the demon struggling until it became problematic...which was about when he was sent flying through the air and slamming against a chest...relatively harshly.
Bracing himself upon the ground for several moments Carter merely sat there slightly dazed as his human side broke through the haze of anger.
Carter was still attempting to get his breath back from having it knocked none to gently from him when he had slammed into whatever the fuck it had been when he found his air cut off nearly entirely again as the demon's hand clamped around his throat.
"Oh I dunno, somewhere around here."
"Work out much?" Carter managed to force out as the demon lifted him off of the ground by his throat. Knowing that unlike other supernatural beings he actual had an energy gauge ala video games he needed to do what he had come there to do and get the fuck out of dodge.
Forcing himself to focus Carter reached out as though attempting to grip on to the demons shoulders for "support" and as soon as he gripped into her flesh he surged backwards until his feet touched the ground and he used whatever momentum he had to fling her over his head and slamming violently into the large wooden chest with enough force that it sent shards of rock and wood and exploding throughout the small room.
He wasn't going to get anywhere with regular weapons so he immediately released the demon and scrambled back tot he other side of the area where the sword had clattered. He had a feeling the demon and himself could go on for near eternity but the sword would help...tilt the favors to him ever so sharply.
Making his way back over to Lilith Carter pressed the tip of the sword against her neck hard enough to cause a small cut in the skin.
"You know they never told me I had to kill you," Carter explained pressing with a bit more force.
"Just get the fucking graces. So maybe just maybe if you hand them over I'll forget to tear your head off and you can live another day to play take over the world with Barbie," Carter explained through nearly gritted teeth as it was taking just about every inch of focus to stop the nephilim side from completely taking the demons head off before he knew where the graces were at.

"Work out much?"
"I do what I can," Lilith said nonchalantly glaring up at the nephilim. She wasn't entirely sure what to do with him now that she was holding on to him. Closing her eyes, Lilith took a deep breath, this was more tiring than she had thought it would be. Her eyes snapped open as she felt hands on her shoulders and she grunted slightly with the effort to stay upright as he pushed himself backwards.
The moment he touched the ground, Lilith went flying over the nephilim's head, crashing in the chest with a small cry. She was dizzy now, and still she grinned her twisted grin as she wiped blood from the corner of her mouth.
"Are we having fun yet?" she slurred, watching the nephilim move to pick up the more deadly of his two weapons.
It was very difficult to keep the blade in focus with is pressed against her neck, and the small cut it caused did not help her cause. But she could feel the nephilim running out of steam, and as her fingers closed around the handle of the knife she'd been granted access to when her body had smash open the chest, her grin widened.
"You know they never told me I had to kill you,"
Lilith made a small noise of discomfort as he pressed the blade harder into her neck.
"Just get the fucking graces. So maybe just maybe if you hand them over I'll forget to tear your head off and you can live another day to play take over the world with Barbie,"
Involuntarily, her eyes darted to her left elbow where the small box of graces sat, exposed along with her knife. She quickly returned her gaze to the nephilim though as she slowly stood, making sure the keep the blade of his sword from actually cutting her head off.
When she was standing up straight, Lilith locked eyes with the nephilim and without blinking, spun the knife around in her hand and shoved it forcefully up into his chest.
