Trading her short shorts and half top for jeans and a dress shirt, Cassandra made her way out of the dressing room, counting the money she had made that night. It was only midnight, but tonight was her night... morning...? off... in theory at least. She would probably end up drinking at the bar till 4 in the morning or something ridiculous like that.
The hallway was dim, and Cassandra was so busy focusing on what was so far three hundred dollars and counting, that she nearly tripped over a girl in a bikini, sitting with her knees pressed against her chest and her back against the wall.
"Lucy?" she asked, bending down to the same level as the girl, her brow furrowed in concern. "Are you okay?"
"Just tired," the girl said, raising a hand to her forehead.
"Have you taken your insulin?"
It took ten minutes to get the truth out of the poor girl. Lucy was very embarrassed about her diabetes and often liked to pretend she didn't have it. And then of course there was their boss, trying to tell her that there was no time for Lucy to take her medication. Thankfully she didn't even have to push him to get him to listen, just the threat of Lucy passing out on stage and ruining business for the rest of the night was enough to silence him.
Finally, Cassandra made it to the bar, having got Lucy medicated and onstage, and finally finished counting the money. $700 for the night. Not bad. Enough for rent for the week, food, savings, and the rest of the weeks earnings could be used for whatever she desired.
"Aren't you wearing a bit too much?"
Cassandra had only just managed to order a drink and already drunks were hitting on her. Great.
"Aren't you standing a bit too close?" she retorted, knocking back the shot James the Bartender had placed in front of her and signalling for another. It didn't matter that she was technically too young to drink, people were easily convinced otherwise.
"Why don' you let me get you a drink?"
Rolling her eyes, Cassandra turned around and made eye contact with the drunk. "Why don't you go over there," she pointed to the far side of the bar, "and drink until you pass out?" she suggested, giving the man a slight push to make him comply. When he had shambled off, she knocked back another shot and made another gesture.
"Keep 'em coming, James."

Though Raguel would have liked to think of himself as a knowledgeable angel; one who wasn't blind to the ways of the world his short time amongst his father's children had proven to him he as in no way wise to the ways of man. Even with the help of the man he was using as a vessel he still fell extremely short of knowing the ways of this world. He had of course picked his vessel carefully....and a bit underhandedly f he would admitt to it; but desperate times called for desperate measures and the con man he was currently sing for his vessel had een given a choice after all...he could go back to prison or he could allow an archangel to use his body for the good of the world...the man had made the choice to not go to prison and therefor Raguel had a new vessel. This had been the first time Raguel had ever needed to come down to earth but it seemed as if with each passing days life upon is father's creation was getting more and more out of hand and even his brother's and sister's could no longer be trusted, Life was beginning to grow alarming.
Las Vegas was the very last place one would think of if they were to go searching for an archangel but jut the same Raguel had found himself drawn to the comotion of the city. SInce he had bee to earth it was the draw of the life around him which kept him very much entertained and he couldn't help but want to experience what it was that kept he huamn race going for years and years.
Going along witt he flow of the rowds around him Raguel fund himself within the confine of a "dance" establishment which he was rather certain was not where he wanted to be at...notunless he wished to escape the fires of hell any time this century. But just the same the array of humans who filled theestablishment was astounding! All sorts of people wthin all walks of life seemed to be filled within this building..it was fascinating!
Mkaing his way over to what he had learned was a bar a few days back Ragule ordred a beer which h had learned was bout the only tolerale thing he coul consume in te establishmen though in retrospect he didn't much equire to drink anything...but apprently it made him look odd if he simply sat and observed the patrons.
Raguel's attention was quickly caught by a sall sensation of powe which he quickly pinpointed came from a small girl seated beside him. She hardly seemed as if she would hold such force but the signature was clearly hers.
This was a strange establishment indeed. Watching the girl for sveral more moments Raguel had a difficult time placing what she posessed about her that was so different and that was frusturating in its own right. "Keep 'em coming, James."
Raguel eyed the young girl and then eyed the sign behind the man known as the batender and though he might not be entirely wise in the ways of the world just yet he wa rather certain that the sign behind the man poclaiming patrons had to be 21 and the knowledge he had gatherd of the girl did not match up.
"I am not entirely certain but I would wagger a guess that you aren't old enough to be drinking that," Ragual stated with a smile as he glanced over frm the bartender to the girl.

Cassandra could feel the man's eyes on her but she decided to ignore him for the moment. It wasn't a crime to look at her, and as it was also technically her job to be looked at, it would be kind of odd to bite his head off about it. Besides, he seemed harmless enough.
"I am not entirely certain but I would wagger a guess that you aren't old enough to be drinking that,"
Tilting her head to look at him, Cassandra raised an eyebrow before having another shot and grinning at him. "Would you now?" she asked. "And what makes you say that?"
She examined the man beside her, looking him up and down. Normally she wouldn't have been so nice about such a question, usually that kind of thing was a test to find out how legal she was for other things but he didn't seem drunk, he didn't seem skeazy... in fact, he seemed entirely out of place.
"Are you lost?" she asked, turning her whole body around to face him, picking up the knew shot James had set down in front of her, looking him up and down again. "You look lost."

Rague smiled at the girl as she met his eyes and tilted her head slightly.Yes she most certainly did not belong in this establishment she had a far greater potential then what the men surronding thought she was capable of. Raguel frowned slightly as the young girl consumed the drink before her and he eyed the sign once more behind the bartender.
He was certain he wasn't missing anything..but perhaps he was.
Humans had become extremley confusing.
"Would you now?And what makes you say that?"
"The sign behind this rather large man here states you must be 21 to drink at this estalishment," Raguel explained pointing to the sign behind the bartender who was doing his best to ignore the angel.
"And you fall a year short of that age," Raguel explained simply.
"Are you lost? You look lost." Raguel stared back at the girl his eyebrows pinched in confusion. He hadn't hought he was lost. He had actually thought he was still in Las Vegas but it could very well be that some time during his stay in the bright city he had managed to get set off track and in turn became lost.
"I could be lost," Raguel explained with a small shrug of his shoulders.
"I'm not entirely certain; do you think I'm lost?" Raguel asked the girl figuring perhaps she had some sot of insight as to where he was meant to be since she thought him to be lost.

"The sign behind this rather large man here states you must be 21 to drink at this estalishment,"
Cassandra turned to where he pointed and nodded as she read the sign. "It does indeed."
"And you fall a year short of that age,"
Well how in the hell had he known that? It wasn't like she looked a year younger than 21... she imagined she would look the same come her birthday. "I think you'll find you're mistaken," she said, turning to face him once again and looking him in the eye in order to give him a small push. She didn't need someone putting a stop to her drinking privelages... or getting James in trouble.
"I could be lost, I'm not entirely certain; do you think I could be lost?"
"I think that you are not drunk enough or sleazy enough to be in this particular club," she said, smiling kindly at him. "So you're either very lost... or very weird."

"I think you'll find you're mistaken."
Raguel's crystal eyes locked with those of the girls and he felt a force rise up against him. It was not exceedingly strong considering what he was but it was most definetly a force which brought notice with it. It was a force that for the faintest of moments he thought that perhaps the girl was correct; and then the thought was gone.
"No; you are most certainly short by...4 days," Raguel replied with a matter of fact smile.
Had it been 4 days in the future their entire coversation would have been pointless.
"I think that you are not drunk enough or sleazy enough to be in this particular club. So you're either very lost... or very weird."
Raguel thought on the girls reply his head cocked slightly to the side as he contemplated her words. Some of them were words he did not rightly understand especially considering that she also found herself in this establishment.
"Would I fit in more suitably if I were drunk enough?...Or sleazy?" Raguel asked ernestly. Though if he was being honest neither of the wrods the girl had used seemed as if they were good discreptions.
"Are you sleazy enough to be here?" Raguel asked pushing away the bitter tasting beer; the humans truley needed better things to consume if they intended to live for a long periods of time.
"So you're either very lost... or very weird."
"I may be a touch weird; that sounds promising...and besides I believe we are still in Las Vegas therefor I can hardley be lost," Raguel explained with a smile as he was rather pleased he had offered up the proper answer.
"Are you lost?"

"No; you are most certainly short by...4 days,"
Cassandra's eyes widened slightly in surprise. Her push hadn't worked. That was... a first. An absolute first. And how the shit did he know her birthday was in four days? Now would be a good time to walk away from him. But now she needed to know how he knew... and there was always the chance that the push hadn't been strong enough.
"You're wrong," she said again, once more meeting his eyes and this time pushing much harder for him to believe.
"Would I fit in more suitably if I were drunk enough?...Or sleazy?"
"Look around you," she suggested, moving her arm in a wide arc to gesture at all of the patrons in the club. They were drunk. They were leering. They were repulsive. And they were absolutely the worst part about her job. Seriously, if she hadn't been making upwards of $700 dollars a night, she would be doing something else. Like politely robbing banks.
"If you were more like them? Yeah you'd fit in just fine. Would a normal woman ever actually speak to you? Probably not."
"Are you sleazy enough to be here?"
She snorted into the drink she'd just lifted to her lips and had to put it down before the entire shot before it was lost. That was the most amusing thing she'd ever heard. She thought about his question for a moment before shrugging. "I work here," she said, drinking her shot. "What does that tell you?"
Despite the fact that this guy knew far too much about her, Cassandra was actually enjoying this conversation. It had been a long time since she'd had an actual conversation with someone that wasn't utterly intoxicated... or a cat.
"I may be a touch weird; that sounds promising...and besides I believe we are still in Las Vegas therefor I can hardley be lost," She had to return his smile at his answer. There was something very endearing about the way he spoke about things... almost innocent. "Are you lost?"
Her smile became sad and she stared down at the new drink in her hands before pushing it away with a sigh. "You have no idea."

"You're wrong."
Raguel frowned slightly as his eyes once more locked with the girls and he felt a foreign power pushing against him. He was uncertain what she was attempting to do but had he been anything else perhaps it would have been more effective.
"No I do not believe I am...perhaps by a few hours but by nothing more," he explained sincerely rather confused why it was such a secret for her.
"If you were more like them? Yeah you'd fit in just fine. Would a normal woman ever actually speak to you?"
Raguel's face scrunched in confusion; the girl was extremely confusing and though Raguel as certain h may have been to blame for ome she was no helping.
"So then I don't want to fit in with them?"
"I work here, what does that tell you?"
Raguel thought on her question for a moment as he attempted to see if anting was telling him anything. Being that he only came up with the answer of extremely loud music he was at a loss.
"That you enjoy loud music, minimal clothing, alcohol and smoke?" Raguel asked hoping he had managed to guess correctly.
Raguel's face darkened as he immediately took note of the rapid change of expression which had crossed the girls face. He had said something incorrect; something to upset her and yet he couldn't think of what as she had done a majority of the asking.
"You have no idea."
"Perhaps if you explained I could have a better understanding of what troubles you and why you remain lost here," Raguel pressed moving the chair closer to the girl. Reaching out he pushed the rink even further away from the girl...she was still not 21.

"No I do not believe I am...perhaps by a few hours but by nothing more,"
"Dammit," she muttered under her breath. Why wasn't it working? That had never happened before. There was that time when her brother was... but it had still worked, if only for a short amount of time. And then there was how he knew her birthday... was this man like her? Could he read thoughts instead of implanting them? Maybe pushing didn't work on people like that.
"So then I don't want to fit in with them?"
Cassandra shrugged. "Up to you really... but if you want my opinion, your probably don't."
"That you enjoy loud music, minimal clothing, alcohol and smoke?"
She laughed then. She wasn't entirely sure why it was funny, but it was. "Two out of four," she told him, nodding. "Not bad."
"Perhaps if you explained I could have a better understanding of what troubles you and why you remain lost here,"
Cassandra examined the man as he moved his chair closer to her and pushed her drink away. Well wasn't he sweet, wanting to know all her woes... wasn't going to happen though. "Yeah, well, I still don't know who you are and I don't plan on telling my life story to a stranger," she pointed out, sliding off her seat and shrugging on her jacket.
"Nice talking to you though."

"Yeah, well, I still don't know who you are and I don't plan on telling my life story to a stranger."
Raguel frowned slightly as it seemed as if they had gone from having a "conversation" to the girl leaving all together. Somewhere along the line it was rather certain now he had said the wrong thing; he was still a bit rough on telling exactly what was right as far as human interaction went.
"Nice talking to you though."
Raguel hopped off of the chair he had been occuping and helped the girl into her jacket.
"If it is the matter of not knowing who I am we can quickly repair that over sight. I do apologize for not introducing myself sooner," Raguel explained as he brushed the shoulder of the girls jacket slightly attempting to brush away the wrinkles in the material.
"They call me Raguel and you are Cassandra James correct?"
Raguel extended his hand to the girl as he had learned was custom when introducing ones self. Another odd trait but then again to learn was to experience and he was rather enjoying the girls company as confusing as it was and did not want her to leave just yet.
Besides if he was indeed lost as she assumed he would need some help finding the correct path once more.

Cassandra raised an eyebrow as the man got down from his chair and helped her into her jacket. How the hell did this guy find his way into this club? Had he taken a wrong turn on his way to volunteering at a childrens hospital or something?
"If it is the matter of not knowing who I am we can quickly repair that over sight. I do apologize for not introducing myself sooner,"
Cassandra suppressed an amused smile. Clearly he didn't understand the exact definition of a stranger. She opened her mouth to explain to him that to her - and to most people - knowing someones name did not automatically make them your confidante. But his next words froze her voice in her throat.
"They call me Raguel and you are Cassandra James correct?"
She stared at the man - Raguel or whatever his name was - in utter shock. No one was supposed to know that name. She'd left it behind three years ago. Her eyes switched between his face and his still outstretched hand several times before she finally found her voice.
"I'm sorry, I think you have me confused with someone else," she said shakily, stepping away from him. "If you'll excuse me..."
As quickly as she could, Cassandra left the club and pressed herself up against the cool concrete of the outside wall and raising her hands to cover her face. God fucking dammit... she was going to have to leave town... disappear again... how the hell did he know?

Raguel held his hand out to the girl adn was midly confused when she did not take it; this was actually soemthing he knew; had learned upon arriving on earth. His vessel had taught him a few things but a majority of the things Raguel got the feeling teh man enjoyed watching the archangel experience for himself; Raguel supposed everyone must get amusement from soemthing in their life.
"I'm sorry, I think you have me confused with someone else, If you'll excuse me..."
Before Raguel could protest the girl was gone and he was left alone with the now glaring bartender; this had not gone at all as planned. He was rather certain he was indeed lost as the girl had first suspected.
No this could not stand as a way for them to close the conversation; he had upset her for some reason and though he was not entirely certain how or why he needed to make it right as Raguel was not a fan of having people upset with or because of him. He dealt justice not pain and he had clearly caused the girl pain.
In the blink of an eye James the bartender was left staring at an empty spot where the strange man had once been and the very next moment Raguel appeared next to the woman who was currently hiding her face with her hands.
"You must forgive me for upsetting you; that was not my intention," Raguel explained as he stood silently before the girl his striking blue eys searching her face though her hands were currently hiding it.

"You must forgive me for upsetting you; that was not my intention,"
Cassandra jumped and dropped her hands to her sides, staring at Raguel in surprise and a little bit of fear. The fear though was slowly climbing... who was he and why did he know her? Her birthday? Her real name? And more to the point... what did he want?
"Look... Raguel was it?" she asked, pushing off the wall and trying to move away from him as casually as she could manage. "I don't know who you are, but you've clearly got the wrong girl... and I think it would be better for all involved if you just left me alone."
Cassandra tried to sound confident, as if she were telling the truth, but seeing as she was slowly bordering on terrified, she didn't know how successful she was. She pushed at him, trying to make him believe her, and while she knew it was useless, what with him being strangely immune, it made her feel better... if only a little.

Daniel had been sitting at the bar for a while now, it was true that he wanted to find his brother but he never stopped hunting. Vegas was a good place to be with hunters passing by looking to have some fun and all manner of demon and dark creature looking for unsuspecting victims. He had seen a girl that had been working minutes before approach the bar with the sound of drunks harassing and hitting on her. Something not uncommon anywhere he'd ever been. He wasn't a knight in shining armor, preferring to let the security take care of things if they got out of control. He didn't want to draw unnecessary attention.
It wasn't until a man approached her that he took notice of her. Normally this would be expected but something about their body language seemed strange to him. The way the man talked to her seemed to take her unexpectedly. He watched as the man pushed the girl's drink away and the girl seemed to decide it was time to leave. He watched as she got up and the man helped her into her coat. It'd be easier to find out what was going on if it wasn't for the loud music. He saw the man extend his hand and instead of the girl shaking it, she seemed scared or in shock over what ever it was he said and she quickly hurried out. Daniel watched her leave but as he turned back he saw the man was gone too.
That was almost never something good, especially because Daniel couldn't see where he was and didn't see him leave. Pushing his own drink he'd been sipping at away, he dropped some money on the bar. Pulling on his leather jacket, he walked out of the club casually but with a purpose. He didn't have far to go as the girl was only outside leaning against the wall with her face covered, except the same man was standing next to her again. He saw her drop her hands as the man said something else to her.
"Look... Raguel was it? I don't know who you are, but you've clearly got the wrong girl... and I think it would be better for all involved if you just left me alone."
Daniel walked forward so he was in the girl's sight but at the man's back. He held up his hand giving her the OK sign and a questioning look on his face as he pointed to the man. He normally would've let the police or someone do this but seeing as the only others around were drunks stumbling into and out of the club, he couldn't leave her to fend for herself.

Raguel flinched slightly as Cassandra jumped adn dropped her hadns from her face as if he had seemingly startled her; no this was not at all going the way he had intended it to and the fear he felt from her was a very clear sign of that.
"Look... Raguel was it?"
"Yes indeed it was and you are..." Raguel's words cut off as the girls continued; it was he had learned rude to speak over people so he allowed her to finish her thought.
"I don't know who you are, but you've clearly got the wrong girl... and I think it would be better for all involved if you just left me alone."
Raguel stared back at Cassandra with an extremley perplexed look across his face. He hadn't gotten it wrong; the information he had he had retrieved straight from the girl. Her names was Cassandra James and she was 3 and a half days from being 21 years old he truley did not understand why this was all so hard for her to comprehend he had managed it and it wasn't even his information to process. Humans were becoming far too complicated to understand; he had never been among them but he was beginning to see why so many of his brothers and sisters chose to stay amongst the bounds of heaven instead of venturing down to their father's world.
"But you do know who I am; we already exchanged introductions. Did you need for us to do so once more?" Raguel asked sincerely.
His eyes narrowed slightyl as he immediately picked up the sensation of another human joining them in the alleyway. There was entirely too much suspicion and fear and Raguel could see now cause for it what so ever.
"Ms. James I mean you know harm; I most certainly intend you no ill will which requires others to go lurking about in the shadows," Raguel stated directing his last statement to the man behind him.
