Alexis had never been what some would call clumsey in her life. But now, bad luck appeared to be the only thing on her side. She was more than a little surprised when Ryden merely picked her up and carried her the rest of the way to the room.
"Thank you." She muttered, trying her best to smooth her clothing even though it looked bad enough on its own.
She watched as Ryden began to move the furniture away from the door. A sick feeling over nerves began to set over her.
"He's dangerous." Alexis got up and crossed the room to Compton. "I'll gladly claim Killian, but the vampire on the other side of that door is dangerous."
She laid her hand on his arm and stared into his eyes for a long moment.
"Be very careful. Killian and I had...well....we had a bad run in with him before I came to see you."

Gardener had stopped his fight in order to hear what was going on about him. He could hear footsteps moving slowly very near him, and then some muffled ones further off.
If not for the silver, he could have broken the door down in an instant. But the blasted substance was weakening him. It was a damned nusiciance and he was going to kill that kid.
Suddenly, a familiar voice jolted through his anger.
"ALEXIS!" He yelled. "THAT BETTER BE YOU! REMEMBER WHAT I TOLD YOU-I'LL KILL YOU IF I FIND YOU'VE BEEN CONSORTING WITH HUMANS. YOU BETTER HAVE A DAMNED GOOD EXPLANATION FOR THIS!"

"Excellent the human is yours should anyone ask or feel the need to step in...purely a business deal between a vampire and human...on paper it means nothing more and nothing less...in your heart it can mean whatever it is you wish," Ryden explained glad that Alexis had simply gone with the request.
"I'll gladly claim Killian, but the vampire on the other side of that door is dangerous."
"As am I should the cause arise," Ryden explained in repsonse to Alexis's worry. He felt honored that she was worried about his well being but at the moment they had this Gardener creature to deal with.
The angry voice from the other side of the door sounded once more and it only served to spike Ryden's anger; he had had about enough of this man and he had yet to come face to face with the creature.
"I shall purchase you a new door..." Ryden explained a moment before he tore the door off of its hinges and his hand immediately wrapped around the throat of Gardener wild with the quickness of a rattle snack and tore him out of the closet and pinned him upon the floor.
"You will do no such thing to Ms. London or I will rip you into pieces and burn each limb so there is no hope of you ever returning whole again do I make myself clear Mr. Wild? Or should we begin perhaps with your legs?" Ryden asked his eyes turning a dark shade of red so much so that they were almost black. He put pressure upon one of the wounds on the vampires leg to prove his point.

Gardener's temper was not known to be mild by any means, and today it was it could be dubbed as nothing but complete and total rage.
His eyes snapped forward as the door was suddenly ripped away. Before he could react, the other vampire man had suddenly wrapped his hand around his throat and he was thrown out of the closet and onto the floor.
"Oh won't I?" Gardener snarled as best he could. He hissed sharply in pain as the wounds on his legs flared up again. It was an action he was relating directly to the other vampire and it was not making him happy.
"Calm the fck down." Gardener growled, his eyes burning into the now darkened eyes of the other vampire. "This has nothing to do with you. It's got everything to do with us."
He wrapped his right hand around the other vampire's arm and beckoned to Alexis's, whose figure he could see faintly from the corner of one eye.
"I'll ask you once nicely not to interfere." Gardener would have thrown the other vampire off if the silver hadn't been weakening him. For that matter, where the little bastard who'd originally done this?

Alexis pressed herself against the wall, now completely uncertain as to what Ryden intended to do.
"Ryden...." The words barely left her lips before the closet door had disappeared from its hinges and Gardener was suddenly thrown down at her feet.
Alexis felt a rush of satisfaction and respect. It was fantastic to see Gardener getting what was so desperately owed to him, and it was also refreshing to have someone suddenly turn so defensive of her.
Alexis rolled her eyes at Gardener's words. The man would never quit-no matter what his predicament. He had to have the last word.
Not this time.
Stepping casually around Ryden and Gardener, Alexis went to the bed. Kneeling down beside it, she reached in and pulled out the dagger that Jon had left for her.
Iron, handle wrapped in leather....
Alexis stood up, knife in hand. Crossing the room, she knelt down beside Gardener.
"If you want this to be between us, I'd gladly oblige Gardener. After all, we do have some unfinished business. I'm not particuarly happy about our last meeting."
Alexis raised the knife and slammed it down into Gardener's arm, pinning it the way he had done with her hand.
"Bring back any memories, Gardner?" She growled. "Look familiar?" She held her hand in front of his face, showing the faint mark on her palm which remained.

Gardener's eyes locked on Alexis. He thought back now and suspected he'd heard the name she'd dropped.
"Ryden?" He looked from her to the other vampire who was holding him down. "Ryden Alexander Compton? So you're now hooking up with vampires I sent you in search-"
The sentance broke off as further burning pain cut through his arm. Gardener's fangs extended as he twisted against the pain of the blade now in his arm.
Gardener reached up with his uninjured left arm (the only limb he had functioning at the moment) and grabbed Alexis's hair. Dragging her down as close to him as he could, he twisted so he had access to her ear.
"You might want to rethink this situation." He growled. "You're two steps away from making a very nasty enemy out of me, Alexis."

"If it involves Alexis it involves me and you need to be sure you are more then clear on that," Ryden growled his hold on the vampires injured leg tightening till fresh streams of blood gushed from it.
"Ryden Alexander Compton?"
"Yes that would be me," Ryden explained not fully feeling as if the man deserved to know who he was but giving him the information anyways. Ryden allowed Alexis to slam the silver knife into Gardener's hand pinning him on to the floor.
But he felt his anger double as the other vampire grabbed her harshly by the hair with his free hand. This vampire needed to be taught a lesson on keeping its hands to himself.
"You sir have long since made an enemy out of me and it would be wise if you remembered to keep your hands from Ms. London," Ryden snarled as he gripped the handle of the knife which was slammed through Gardener's hand and began to yank the dagger upwards towards Gardener's armb urning the skin as it went.
"Unhand her or I will continue to allow the knife the burn and tear into your filthy skin."

Gardener hissed as the blood began to stream more forcefully from his leg. He had never met Compton before this moment, but he was more than certain he didn't like him.
"Why should I?" Gardener glared at the other vampire, his hand tightening its hold on Alexis's hair. "I've been putting my hands on her longer than you. Don't think I'm up for taking orders on the subject."
Gardener made a sound which seemed to come out as a combination of a growl, hiss and scream. He could smell his flesh burning as Compton moved the knife, but he wasn't about to beg the other man to stop. He could feel himself becoming borderline passing out again, and he was going to make certain he went down with a full fight.
"Keep it up." Gardener snarled at the other vampire man. "She loses in the end."
To prove his point, Gardener yanked Alexis's head down and slammed it off of the wooden floor.

Alexis shook her head to throw Gardener off, but he had a good grip despite the silver and the iron.
"I doubt I'll be losing any sleep over the termination of our friendship, Gardener." Alexis growled.
She reached up to grab the hand holding her hair. In that instant, Gardener's fingers tightened. She twisted again to free herself and succeeded only in feeling a decent portion of her hair pulled free from her head.
"Damn you, Gardener." She dug her nails into his hand. "If you think that you'll-ah!"
Alexis groaned as her head suddenly made contact with the wooden floor. She saw stars for a moment as her vision waivered. Still groaning, she looked over at Ryden through the hair which had fallen over her eyes. This wave of pain had dizzied her enough that she didn't feel much like fighting anymore.

As much as Killian wanted to darkness to give him silence and just over all nothingness he wasn't that lucky for some reason...his wonderful luck he was certain it brought nothing but nightmares and pain. A particular nasty jolt of pain sent him bolting up right on the bed the room and world around him spinning violently. He gripped the sheets which lay under him as he attempted to anchor himself but that only seemed to make the pain ten times worse and the spinning factor even faster.
With a desperate groan Killian felt his stomach clench and in the very next second he heaved everything he had eaten in the last 24 hours off the side of the bed and on to the floor. Once his body was wracked with nothing but dry heaves he managed to lay himself flat once more the pain in his head intolerable. He was no doctor not by a long shot but he was pretty certain that this...whatever it was was not good.
He would have gladly slipped back into the "black-out" stage if it hadn't been a voice from down the hallway...it was Alexis. By the sounds of it she was not having any luck with Gardener.
Forcing himself up and out of the bed Killian reached for the gun and completley over shot his reach and tumbeled head long to the floor slamming his head against thewall with a sickening crack that sent new waves of pain tearing through him. He sat still upon the floor for several moments a small stream of blood slidding from his hair line and staining his blonde hair.
Perhaps staying in bed was key but he wasn't about to let Alexis die because of him. Foricng himself up Killian held the gun shakely in his hand before unlocking the door and stumbling down the hallway. Gardener's voice made him stop short for a moment but regardless he pushed on.
"Keep it up...She loses in the end."
Killian's eyes locked immediately on the group of vampires on the ground; some new guy had a knife buried in Ryden's hand which as far as Killian was concerned made hi their new friend while Gardener had Alexis by the hair and had just slammed her ehad against the floor.
Enough was enough.
The way each vampire was situated was really a blessing in disguise and Killian though pale, blood streaked, sweating and shaking like a leaf was not in the best physical condition...mentally he was beyond pissed off as he took aim at Gardener on the floor.
"She's tired of losing...your turn now," Killian muttered taking aim at Gardener and firing being sure to not hit Alexis and the other guy.
Once the shot was off Killian tumbeled to his knees the strength it had taken him to stay upright and actually fire a shot had taken whatever strength he had in him clean out and he sunk down to his knees.

Ryden's eyes darkened considerable and a low growl feel from him when Gardener dared grip Alexis and slam her head against the ground. He was rather certain he would have torn the dagger clean out of his hand and slowly sawed off the vampires head had it not been for the addition of a new vocie in the room...and the smell of freshly spilled human blood.
Ryden's attention quickly snapped to the boy who stood just inside of the doorway looking slightly closer to death then any of the other vampires in the room which was stating something.
The moment Ryden realized what the boy intended to do and the crack of the gun went off Ryden gripped the hand which Gardener had held Alexis with and yanked focefully in an attempt to pull her from his grasp and push her away from the vampire.
The boys aim was good and she was not in danger but just the same Ryden wanted her out of reach of the vampire.

Gardener was prepared to fight both of them as long as he could. No one would ever say he had given up in a fight. This case was no different.
The scent of human blood sent his eyes flying down the hallway. There was the charming young man who had caused this mess.
"Killian." Gardener growled, momentarily forgetting about both Alexis and Compton.
Before he could make another move, a bullet tore through his shoulder just below his throat. That was the final dose of silver he needed to knock him out and Gardener felt his eyes drop shut as he fell unconcious.

Alexis smelled Killian before she could see him, but she didn't have time to really even consider his safety because a moment later a gun was going off and she felt Ryden's hands moving her away from Gardener.
As Gardener's hand released her, Alexis fell forward against Compton. She somehow managed to catch herself and push herself into a sitting position. Pushing her hair back made it hurt worse and her head still ached, but now she knew she needed to get to Killian.
"Killian." She pulled herself to her feet and moved over to his side. Wrapping her arms around him, she embraced him briefly before pulling away from the bloody scent. The boy looked terrible. She felt bad. This was probably the nearest she would ever come in her life to feeling maternal.
"He needs help." Alexis looked over her shoulder at Ryden. "And Gardener's not dead. The bullet didn't hit his head. He's just unconcious. I'll get rid of him if you'll help Killian."

Killian watched in a half coherent state as the bullet slammed into Gardener and the vampire fell unconcious once more. He knew that once Gardener got the chance he would not doubt rip Killian to pieces but he supposed that didn't really matter much at the moment.
"Killian."
Killian allowed himself to slump against Alexis as he felt her arms embrace him for a few moments. His eyes had slipped shut until she pulled away from him and he leaned forward bracing his weight against the floor with his hands.
"He was gonna kill you..." Killian whispered his eyes slipping shut again though his arms amde an honest effort of holding him up.
"And you don't get to come back..." Killian explained as he didn't want Alexis to think he just randomly went around shooting people.
The world around Killian came in and out of focus and he would have sworn it was tilting this way and that had he not known that that was a pretty impossible notion.
"Think...I think I might be dying again Lex..." Killian muttered the pain in his head growing and fading and then returning with an even more violent punch to it each and every time. He wished it would just explode already and be done with it though he was pretty certain if Killian got brain pieces of Alexis's clothes she would kill him again.

Ryden was very pleased that the human boys aim had been true in hitting and therefor knocking the vampire unconcious. Gardener Wild was a force Ryden was not at all pleased with having in Alexis's company and when he was given teh chance he would be sure the beast was not allowed to hurt Alexis or anyone that she cared for.
"I will do what I can for him," Ryden explained as he walked briskly over to where the boy sat hunched over on the floor and debated his next course of action.
He was no doctor that was for certain but he knew when a human was in bad shape and the boy's current condition was not at all promising. The blonde hair on the back of his head was matted with dried blood and the fresh cut on his forhead was still bleeding freshly. Ryden would venture to guess that in the last 24 hours the boy had sustained a rather severe head injury if not two.
Pulling the boys head up and forcing one of th eboys eyes open he searched the reaction in the blue eyes attempting to gage how bad the damage which had been done was and what was the boys chances of survival without being taken to a hospital.
