It had taken Harper a bit to figure out exactly what he was going to do but once he had some what figured it out he had set it into motion rather quickly. Going home was not an option and though he wished he simply could just go back up to Alaska and pretend it never happened and go back to fishing and pretending he wasn't hearing what he heard he knew he couldn't. But just the same Harper wasn't willing to spend another day...hell another damn hour in the Washingotn asylum or any other nut house for that matter so he decided on running hoping maybe just maybe it wouldn;t be a murder charge that followed him maybe just an idea of him being a kidnapping victim or if he was severly lucky a murder victim himself. Whatever the story Harper knew the small town in Washington wouldn't be safe enough so he took Liana's car and drove as far as he could before the sun began to peak over the horizon and then he drove further.
Cheyenne, Wyoming was where the events and the drug withdrawl finally got the best of him and Harper finally stopped driving. The withdrawl from the drugs had been what had made the trip that much more unbearable as time went on and by the time Harper and reached Wyoming he was pretty certain he looked like deathw armed over again what with his hear sticking against his pale and fevered forhead and the red rimmed tinged to his eyes. After searching a bit Harper found the not so savory end of town and within the hour was able to sell the car for cash; cash that he intended to use to help rebuild his life...God only knew where and technically if hell did break loose he most likely wouldn;t have to worry about it all for much longer.
Making his way from the projects into a more habbital end of town Harper paid for a nights stay at the small motel along the outskirts of town. As he walked into the motel room and closed the door behind him Harper carefully slipped the book of matches that the front desk clerk had lent him into his pocket as he peeled of the sweater leaving him in jeans and an under hsirt as he all but collapsed on to the bed and was out within moments the fever from the drug withdrawls finally taking a hold of him.

Daniel looked down at the sleeping form of Harper Benedict with an expression of vague interest, twirling a stiletto knife in his hands. Raziel had informed him that Harper was a telepath and had been tuning into the thoughts of both the angels and the demons, and therefore needed to be dealt with. If the demons got a hold of him... well, it didn't matter as far as his own goal was concerned, but if the other angels got him... then, they would discover what he, Zachariah and Raziel had been planning. And they didn't understand. The others would try and stop them. That couldn't happen.
Discovering that Harper had been removed from his cell in Washington had unsettled Daniel somewhat. That he had been removed by a demon hadn't made him feel better. He had followed the two until he had lost the trail. They had dropped off the radar completely. Then the demon had reappeared, without Harper and Daniel had thought his job had been done for him.
To his surprise, Harper reappeared moments later, and Daniel had followed him to this small hotel room and was now trying to figure out what to do. He knew that Harper had to die, his sacrifice would save the rest of the world. But it didn't feel fair killing Harper while he slept, before he even knew why he was being killed.
But it didn't matter, either way, Harper would be killed. Perhaps it would be better for him to go peacefully in his sleep. Daniel pressed the tip of the knife into the back of Harper's neck and paused. His knowledge of human anatomy wasn't exactly amazing and he wasn't sure how lethal a blow here would be. He narrowed his eyes for a moment, thinking, before deciding that up into the head would be the fastest, least painful way to kill the telepath. He pulled the knife back, noting the blood and positioned the knife so he could drive it quickly up through the base of Harper's skull.

Harper wished that what he had fallen into could have been classified as sleepin since then it would have been the first few hours of sleep he had gotten in months but instead what it could only be classified as was a fevered and terrifying pull of his uncocious mind. There where things buried deep within his mind that not even Harper cared to deal with but that seemed of little importance now as it had all been thrusted front and center.
A sharp pain in the base of his neck caused Harper to shudder slightly but the harsh sensation was enough to slowly begin to pull him from the haze which had surronded him. Harper's eyes opened for a moment his face still pressed against the bed and his entire body froze as he quickly realized he was not alone. It wasn;t the feel of someone enar or even the sensation of the small stream of blood slidding down his neck that gave the other away it was their thoughts.
Thoughts which focused on killing Harper.
The other's thoughts were getting more and more hectic as the time went on and Harper quickly realized he either needed to act or end up with a dagger through his skull...the prospect was not a very welcoming one.
Turning sharply around Harper all but launched himself off of the bed and straight into his attacker sending them both crashing backwards.

Daniel held the knife in position and raised his eyes heavenward. "Lord forgive me," he whispered and made to push the knife upwards. What he hadn't expected was for Harper to turn around suddenly and leap at him, knocking the knife from his hands as they crashed to the ground.
He let out a groan as he hit the ground and air was pushed from his vessels lungs. He glanced at Harper, who was on top of him, and pushed him forcefully off him, sending the telepath flying across the room. Pushing himself to his feet, Daniel brushed himself off and adjusted his hat.
"I see you're awake," he said, watching Harper closely. "Do you know why I have come?"

Harper's eyes locked with those of his attacker for a moment before he felt himself thrown across the room and his back slam against the far wall with a crack before he fell against the floor in a heap the force of the impact knocking the wind clean out of Harper. Harper forced himself to sit up as much as he would have liked to curl into a ball the pain flaring through his back was immense but he didn't have that comfort at the moment becuase he knew the man would be more then happy to end him.
"Do you know why I have come?"
Forcing himself up to his feet Harper's eyes caught the knife which lay discarded upon the ground but he was too far from it to make a dive for it. So instead Harper focused on the thoughts of the man in fron to him...the man who after a few moments Harper realized was anything but.
"You're an angel..." Haprer's vocie was strained slightly and wisps of his hair will stuck against his fevered forhead.
"You've been sent to kill me," Harper explained a faint sense of calm filtering through his mind as with the seconds he figured out exactly what he was dealing with. He had dealt with the demonic fear of his powers and now the angelic side had put a hit out on him as well you could say.

""You're an angel... You've been sent to kill me,"
"Correct," Daniel said, moving calmly over to where he had dropped the knife and picked it up, turning it over in his hands slowly. "My superiors have decided that you are... too dangerous to our mission to be allowed to live."
He took a step towards Harper, looking at him intently. "But fear not, you will be sent to Paradise, and your sacrifice will ensure that Paradise will be brought to earth."

"Correct."
Well Harper had known he was correct and hadn't really been asking the angel for verification on it but just the same he kept his lips sealed...at least for the moment. He was trying to sort out some kind of plan but in truth he was coming up with nothing that would be of much use in the long run.
"But fear not, you will be sent to Paradise, and your sacrifice will ensure that Paradise will be brought to earth."
"You're gonna have to forgive me if I call bullshit on you there buddy," Harper muttered taking a few steps away from the angel.
He was screwed though he pretty much knew that especially since he wasn't exactly sure how somebody went about defeating an angel or if it was even possible. He really had never gotten that sort of information save for one time in regards to an angel named Uriel. But according to that only an angel could kill an angel and an angel Harper was not.
"I haven't told anyone anything...there is no reason for you to have to kill me..." Harper explained attempting to plead his case so to speak.

"I haven't told anyone anything...there is no reason for you to have to kill me..."
"True, you have not revealed any information as of yet," Daniel said. "But it is only a matter of time before my brethren find you and they are... very convincing."
Daniel tilted his head to the side when Harper's words dawned on him. "You didn't tell the demon?" he asked. He would have thought the demon would have found a way to get that kind of information out of him.

"I've been running into a lot of rather convincing people lately," Harper explained attempting to keep his distance from the angel. Which when you thought about it seemed weird just on prinicipal but then again angels didn't usually go after you.
"You didn't tell the demon?"
"No," Harper responded again as he could hear outward and internally the angels surprise at that bit of information.
"It wouldn't be fair...same as I won't tell you and yours anything. It's not my place," Harper attempted to explain.
A thought crossed his mind as he remembered the hex bag he had in his pocket that Liana had given him in order to summon her. Right about now that was the best chance he was going to have if the angel didn't back off.

"It wouldn't be fair...same as I won't tell you and yours anything. It's not my place,"
Daniel frowned. Well that changed things. Or did it? The boy could be lying and either way, Raziel had told him to kill him. He was never one to disobey a direct order from a superior.
"I'm afraid that means very little," he said, gripping the handle of the knife tightly. "I have been ordered to kill you, so kill you I must."
He took wide strides towards Harper. "May you find peace in Paradise." In the blink of an eye, Daniel was behind Harper, he drew his arm back and stabbed at Harper, missing slightly and hitting his back, just below his left kidney.

Harper knew he wasn't getting anywhere with the angel not in the least bit and that was not a good thing. It was odd really; Liana who had been a demon a supposedly "evil" creature had been more trusting of him then an angel.
"May you find peace in Paradise."
With those words Harper knew he was screwed and yanked out the hex bag from his pocket along with the book of matches that fell to the floor but when Harper looked up Daniel was gone and for a single second he thought the angel had left or been called away but then then pain like he had never known before exploded through his back and drove Harper crashing to his knees with a small cry of pain.
Harper didn't need to see the wound to know that the angel had stabbed him; the blood which immediately soaked through the back of his shirt and pooled around him was a clear sign of that. Still grasping the hex bag in his hand Harper grasped at the book of matches and managed to grab them and light the book and the hex bag on fire.
The bag simmered in a bright blue light for a moment before smoldering out on the motel carpet that Harper's blood was soaking into. Harper struggeled to move away from the angel to do something but he was bleeding out far too fast.

Liana had been minding her own business, relaxing and peacefully forgetting about Harper when she felt herself pulled somewhere else. She closed her eyes as the physical sensation of being yanked from one place to another over took her and when she had opened her eyes again, she was in a strange motel room.
She looked around, trying to figure out what was going on. She'd been summoned but by who. Not Harper, surely, it hadn't been that long since she'd left him. So when her eyes fell on Harper, bleeding on the floor, and angel standing over him with a knife, she had to suppress a groan.
"You have got to be kidding me," she muttered running at the angel, jumping and kicking him hard in the chest, sending him flying into the wall. She knelt down next to Harper, gripped his arms tightly and lifted him up, dragging him to the opposite side of the room. She put a hand on his wound, covering her hand in blood, and started drawing something on the wall. "How the hell did he find you?"

As Harper fell to his knees, Daniel shook his head, silently scolding himself for missing, thereby making the whole process more painful. He prepared to stab Harper again, this time much more fatally but was distracted by a bright blue flame.
"What - ?" was all he managed to get out before a foot slammed into his chest and he was thrown into the wall. He shook himself off and when he had stood up again, Harper and his attacker... a demon... were on the other side of the room. The demon painting something in blood on the wall.
"What are you - ?" His question was cut off the a look of realisation. "No!"

Harper surpressed a groan as Liana pulled him to his feet and dragged him across the room. He was glad to see her hex bag things had worked otherwise he would have been in a bit of trouble; though as it was he wasn't doing to stunning.
Harper jerked slightly as he felt Liana's hand against the wound in his back; an action that sent re-newed pain flaring through his back.
"How the hell did he find you?"
Harper's mind immediately went to the discarded hex bag he had left in the last motel. Situations being what they were now he was rather certain it had been a dumb ass move on his part but he had been slightly angered at the time...hell he still was.
"If I tell you...you won't be so quick...to help," Harper muttered leaning heavily against Liana his head lulling to the side slightly as he heard the angels angered and surprised decleration from across the room. He had no idea what was going on and a part of him figured it was better that way.

"If I tell you...you won't be so quick...to help,"
Liana raised an eyebrow at him. With that information alone she was tempted to stop what she was doing and let the angel kill him. But she didn't, instead she settled for pushing down on his wound harder than necessary to cover her hand in more blood.
She turned her attention back the symbol she was painting on the wall. Making sure there were no breaks in the lines and everything was drawn correctly. Satisfied it was acceptable, she slammed her hand into the middle of it, focusing all her energy on sending the angel far, far away.
