Alexis was surprised at Killian's reaction. To hear him express that he wasn't opposed to moving in with the vampire who was entirely responsible for the loss of one of his lives was pretty impressive.
It wasn't a bad plan at all. There was room. She'd been using the spare bedroom as an extra closet, but the stuff would fit into her own. He'd have to do his own cooking for the most part-unless she was entertaining and then he could join them. She could pass him off as a nephew or something.
Alexis realized she was warming up to the idea quickly-and becoming surprisingly excited about having someone else in the house.
"There's room." She called over her shoulder towards where Killian had left. "I mean, if you wanted to and all."
Alexis changed the channel.
"Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob Square Pants!"
Ok, that was just creepy. Alexis changed the channel again. Apparently, mortals had very low standards on what they watched.
Getting up from the couch, she went downstairs and retried Killian another pair of jeans and a blue button down shirt. Heading back upstairs, she hung them on the door knob.
"Hey." She called towards the bathroom. "The clothes are outside the door. There's another bedroom down the hall. Check it out. Tell me what you think."

Killian had shut the door to bathroom before he had heard Alexis's word; he felt pretty much like a fool since he had sort of just gotten far too ahead of himself with the idea of just moving into Alexis's house. He normally didn't go head long into those types of things but the prospect of having a home...an actual home without worrying about having to move or anything else was soemthing that had never even been a possibilty for him in over 300 years...and he would admitt it was soemthing that would mean an awful lot to him.
Killian stared at his own reflection in the mirror for a moment and cringed...he looked liek death warmed over..literally. If there was one thing Killian absolutely despised about returning from the dead it was smelling like death...or in his current state blood and death.
Banishing the thought from his head though and peeling out of the blood soaked clothes Killian allowed the scorchign hot water to wash away the blood which had caked on to him once again.
Awesome he was gonna smell like Lavender...again.
"The clothes are outside the door. There's another bedroom down the hall. Check it out. Tell me what you think."
Freezing in his action of attempting to scrub the dried blood out of his blonde hair for the 3rd time now Killian couldn;t help the smile which crossed his face as he realized that perhaps Alexis wasn't apposed to the idea of him moving into her place after all.
After taking a shower for as long as he could before the water turned fridged Killian pulled himself begrudingly from the confines of the shower and toweled off. He pulled on the clothes Alexis had hung from the door knob and situated his hair as best as he could with what Alexis had to offer. Figuring his hair was gonna get about as good as it was Killian gathered up the blood soaked clothes from the floor and tossed them into the fire place like he had done with the last set.
Killian ventured down the hallway till he came across the room Alexis had mentioned and as he pushed in the door he realized that it could have been a broom closet for all he would have cared a cememnt place to call home would be astounding by every meaning of the word.
Turning from the room Killian made his way down the hallway thinking that oerhaos this life would have a bit more luck to it after all. Killian entered the livingroom water still dripping slightly from his hair as he adjusted one of the buttons on the shirt.
"I'm gonna run up a clothing tab if I keep dying here," Killian said as he took note that Alexis was still flipping through the chanels.
"The room is awesome," Killian said with a small shrug as he stared dwon at his feet as if they were the most interesting things in the world; he didn't want to see over zealous about anything and have Alexis decide it was a bad idea after all.

Alexis glanced towards the sounds of Killian's movements. She wondered if the idea of moving in with a vampire would eventually overly freak him out. It wasn't that she had other vampires in frequently, but it wasn't impossible one might stop through the area. Fortunately most of the ones she knew weren't as violent as Gardener.
She muted a rerun of General Hospital on the Soap Opera Network and turned to face Killian as he fully entered the room.
"Yeah, but I'd let you pay them off if you helped out a bit in the store. You don't have to know anything about the merchandise, just run the register and clean-maybe. You know, all that work that needs done when women claim it doesn't hurt to have a guy around."
Alexis didn't want Killian to think she wanted him around for his service. She was certainly in it for the company.
"That is, if you decide to stay and all. It would be your home too. I could use the company. But it's entirely your choice. If you decide it would creep you out, you don't have to stay."

Killian listened intently as Alexis explained that he could help out in her store downstairs which was actually more then k with him as he would have wanted to pay her back in some respect for the room and what not as he didn't expect to be seen as a leech and just take up space.
"Yeah no that's totally ok...as long as the chicks don't expect mush fashion advice...and I refuse to answer the "does this make me look fat" question," Killian explained with a smirk as he made his way back over to the couch and sat down.
"...It would be your home too..."
Killian's face brightened immediately at her words; hell they had been something he hadn't even had a remote chance of for years upon years and there was no way in hell he was going to turn it down. He trusted Alexis not to turn him into a midnight snake and he highly doubted she would be having Gardener around for tea any time soon so it would be fine.
His mind wandered for a moment to the last place he had called home; the house in Salem which no doubt had crumbeeld into nothing as the years had drawn on and on. His mother had always kept it just so which for the time he had grown up during was not an easy task.
"I cook!" Killian offered 2 seconds before he realized that was a useless task too perform for a vampire.
"Wait...no that would be useless...for you anyways," Killian corrected himself with a slight smirk as he banished his past memories for a moment and focused back on Alexis.
"I'd love to stay," Killian replied figuring it would make life easier if they both stopped ebating around the bush.
"...As long as you swear not to make me into a midnight snack one night," Killian added on with a smirk.

Alexis smirked faintly at Killian's words. That must have been every boy's nightmare.
"There's a right way to answer that question. I'll teach it to you." A slow smile slipped across her face. "A lot of very attractive girls shop in this store. I'm sure they'll be so happy to see you here. You could have your pick soon."
Alexis was glad to have something else to focus her attention on. If Killian was moving in, they'd need to move a bed from the shop upstairs, plus find sheets and whatever other fixings he'd need.
"Yeah, that's not really my thing." She smirked at his comment on food. However, it could be useful to have someone else around who knew how to use the stove when she had people over. "I do entertain sometimes though, and that will be useful then."
Speaking of her business associates, they were going to ask questions about the boy who was suddenly around.
"Well, you can stay then." Alexis smiled, hiding her excitement. "But we need a story. My business associates will wonder who you are. We need to keep the story straight."

"If you say so," Killian replied with a smirk as Alexis explained that there was apprently a right way to answer the "fat" question. He had learned from experience that silence or an automatic no was usually best. Killian smiled semi uncomfortabley as Alexis brought up the idea that he would be able to have his "pick" of girls...there was of course one obvious problem with starting any sort of relationship...they would grow...he would not...ever.
"I may be a bit old for them," Killian said in an attempt to push past the topic at hand and return to more pleasent avenues of conversation.
"Awesome!" Killian exclaimed as Alexis made it "offical" that he was more then welcome to stay. Thislife was already better then the last one so maybe it was true that you couldn't fall off the floor.
"I could always be your internet purchased boy toy?" Killian explained offering up his idea of an "explanation" for his sudden appearence.

Alexis shook her head at the look of disbelief on Killian's face. She had made herself a pretty stable life in New York. She was hoping that Killian could do that same thing.
"Jon and I will eventually have the same problem." Alexis shrugged. "But you never know. Someone may come through the door who changes your thoughts."
She really did laugh at Killian's reaction. She was glad that he was happy to be settling home. She could tell that Killian needed a good solid base to call his own. However, she was pretty sure that living with a vampire was not exactly his idea of the ideal situation. But they could make it work.
"No snacks." She assured him, remembering his earlier worry. "And....." Alexis stopped and rolled her eyes at Killian. There was no denying that the boy was quick witted for certain.
"Oh, that would be great. People who lend me money would think that was just what they wanted to hear. Why don't we just stick to you being my late brother's son from Salem?"

Jon...that's right that had been the dude's name he had taken the fall for so to speak...he was pretty sure the hunter wasn't fond of him which would make it rather interesting when it came to explaining who Alexis's current roommate was. A hunter and a vampire was pretty much a match made in hell but it wasn't Killian's place to question...just yet anyways.
"You could always turn him," Killian offered knowing that it was probably a bad suggestion but it was the truth when push came to shove all it would take was some vampire mojo to get Jon to stay with Alexis for pretty much ever.
"It would be better then wasting their money on Enron stocks I am a pretty high comodity you know...who doesn't want a 300+ year old teenager hanging around," Killian explained with extreme sarcasim.
"...from Salem..."
It was the truth but just the same it made him flinch as he was waiting for the topic to come up in regards to Salem and Mary Harper.
"Sure I suppose the boring story would work too," Killian agreed with a smirk.

Alexis shook her head at Killian's thoughts. Turning Jon would certainly keep him around, but Alexis wasn't certain she could wish that curse on someone she cared about.
"I don't think that's an option." Alexis played idly with the bandage wrapped around her hand. It was still pulsing beneath its covering. She was going to cut Gardener's throat herself with that same knife.
"Rather than trying to make up some complicated story, why don't we just stick to what we know? You can pick another city if you want. I know Salem's not your ideal vacation spot."
Alexis got up from the sofa and headed towards the spare room.
"I'll drag my 6 dozen pairs of shoes out of there, as well as my 9 dozen handbags. Why don't you go downstairs and find yourself some furniture? I can get it upstairs so long as I don't run pieces of it into my hand."

Killian watched silently for a moment as Alexis tugged at the badage around her hand. He thought vampires healed immediately but then again he was learning a whole lot about vampires lately.
"How long does that thing take to heal?" Killian asked motioning towards her bandaged hand.
"Salem's fine," Killian replied with a small shrug. As long as nobody asked him anything about modern day Salem it would be fine.
Killian was about to offer to help Alexis move her shoes and stuff but then he figured girls were always picky about the moving and touching of their shoes and purses and everything else so he would let her get on with that while he hunted for some stuff downstairs.
Making his way downstairs Killian's eyes caught sight of the room where their earlier meeting with Gardener had gone down and shuddered slightly. Something caught his eye in the corner of the room and Killian reached down and picked up the flask that had held the holy water in it. There was still some of it in the flask and Killian tucked it into his pocket just in case.
As he made his way around the shop Killian wasn't exactly sure what the heck he would need it had been a long while since he had had to figure out what he wanted in a bedroom. In the end he dragged over a chair, a dresser type deal and a nightstand he figured that was as good a place to start as any. Though with both of them having piss poor luck getting them up the stairs would be amusing he was sure.

"I don't know. It's a silver injury. Silver injuries are weird." Alexis stared down at her hand. "Mine have never healed up terribly quickly. I'm wondering if it's going to hang out there for another couple of months."
Alexis almost hated to cramp her shoes into the walk in closet in her bedroom. She loved her shoes the way some people loved their children. But she couldn't really expect Killian to live in a room packed with her extra wardrobe. Sighing, she guided the articles of clothing and accessories into her bedroom. She'd sort everything to her exact liking later.
Heading back downstairs, Alexis saw that Killian had picked up a few pieces. She was not overly impressed with the idea of getting them up the stairs, but it wasn't like she had another choice.
"Let's start with the dresser." She told him, motioning to the piece. "Let's get the heavy one out of the way."

"Let's get the heavy one out of the way."
Killian paused for a moment as he looked at the furniture and then at the stairs...and up the stairs.
"We're gonna kill ourselves...again aren't we?" Killian asked only half kidding...if that.
"I'll push you pull and manuever it up the stairs and if we can do this all without me being squashed on the foot of the stairs I would say we can classify it as a win wouldn't you say?" Killian asked as he manuevered himself behind the dresser contemplating the real need for one the entire time.
He figured if once they managed to get the firniture up the stairs and they remained in one piece he would go and gather up his things from the hotel and give the hsop where his bike was at the new address and then set about moving in.

"Most likely." Alexis nodded. She was not inclined to watch Killian get smashed on the floor below the stairs. "Exactly how many lives do you have left again?"
She picked up a corner of the dresser. It was going to be far easier for her to move than she'd considered. This might not end up as bad as she suspected it would. But that was a big might.
"Just guide it and let me take the majority of the weight." Alexis told Killian. She picked up the corner of the dresser and dragged it up to the first step.
"This really isn't that bad....but that could be famous last words."

"Awesome...that was so the wrong answer...you know if we were lucky you would be a Genie or like Bewitched or something and just wiggle your noise and the stuff would be upstairs," Killian muttered adjusting his grip on the dresser.
"Exactly how many lives do you have left again?"
Killian paused for amoment not liking the timing of the question...especially since he was behind a dresser.
"3...and I would like to keep them..." Killian muttered,
"But you're a girl," Killian snapped as Alexis ordered him to let her take the majority of the weight which would in turn make him feel a tad bit useless.
"This really isn't that bad....but that could be famous last words."
Killian froze his movements and stared back at Alexis a look of shock on his face at what she had said.
"You just jinxed us! You better knock on wood or do whatever it is vampires do for luck because if this crushes me to death I am not going to come back a happy camper," Killian exclaimed.

"You're going to keep them. I've got it." Alexis grumbled irritably. "And no pop culture references. It makes me think of Gardener."
The thought of their earlier meeting with Gardener made her momentarily sick. She knew they were going to have to sort out the thought that Gardener might show up looking for them again. Now that he knew where she was, Killian was going to have to be prepared to defend himself.
"I'm also a vampire." She muttered, attempting to move the dresser up to the next step. "It means I have a bit more strength than humans. Being a girl doesn't have anything to do with it."
But she still shifted her injured hand and knocked against the dresser. The movement caused the corner of the dresser to slip into her hand.
"Ow." She shuddered. The dresser slipped slightly and hit against the wall.
