Alexis held her breath as she looked between Killian and Gardener. She laughed, shaking her head at Gardener's words.
"Controlling? You? Never, Gardener." She got to her feet as Gardener pulled back his hand. He had yet to say he'd help, but in Gardener terms, that was a good sign.
Alexis rolled her eyes. She knew far too well of Gardener's pop culture love affair. He knew way more than any vampire ever should.
"Gardener, enough, will you help or not?" Alexis moved to stand next to Killian. She was tired of screwing around. Her luck sucked and she wanted it over-now. She turned her attention to Killian for a moment as he gave up the witch's name. And that, was apparently the key.
Gardener looked visibly shaken. There was no denying he'd encountered this woman. And his words confirmed it. Alexis was highly intrigued now. Just what was so interesting about this woman that she had Gardener shaking in his shoes?
"Was that a yes, Gardener?" She asked, stepping closer to him. "Did you say you knew her?"

"I'm older then I look," Killian snapped back glaring at Gardener he was going to stab the son of a bitch with dead man's blood just for spite pretty soon.
A smile played its way across Killian's face as Gardener had a very obvious reaction to Mary Harper's name. He was impressed it looked like Alexis's idea of contacting him was going to pay off afterall. Gardener obvious knew who the heck she was and that was exactly what they needed.
"Yeah...so that look on your face would clearly say you know exactly who we're talking about. Now what do you want to share what you know?" Killian asked getting a bit impatient as he was sure Alexis was too they both wanted their lives to get back to normal and this guy obvious knew a good place for them to start.
"If you make it quick you might make it back to the coffin in enough time to catch Bewitched," Killian couldn't help but add with a sly smirk. It felt nice to have the upper hand in something for once in what felt like forever.

Gardener turned his glare from Alexis to Killian. He did not really want a part of a game that played with Marisolla. He wanted absolutely no parts of her. In the past, he'd successfully avoided her wrath. He liked it that way.
"Marisolla Ledeara's fcked up." Gardener pushed himself up from the arms of the chair. Getting to his feet, he began pacing back and forth between the two. "Plain and simple. Can't believe you don't know her."
Gardener gave Alexis a serious look. He wanted her to reconsider who she had been dealing with. Surely, at some point in her history, she had to have heard the name tossed about.
"Before I start dealing out information, let's take a quick ride on the Straight Talk Express, hhmm? Neither one of you is leaving this room until I get something out of this deal. Quid pro quo, eh? We have a plan? I give you my knowledge of Marisolla, and then I get something in return. Deal?"

Alexis shot Killian a look. As funny as his comments were, Gardener could only be pushed so far. She'd found that out the hard way. It was all fun and games-until someone got their perfume switched with holy water.
"I don't." Alexis shook her head. The name still meant nothing to her. She'd kept close to her own vampire circle and never really ventured out of it. Call it antisocial or whatever, Alexis had enjoyed her privacy. "That's why we called you, Gardener."
Gardener wanting to deal was bad, but at the moment, Alexis considered her luck far worse. Nothing on this planet could make things worse. At this stage of the game-.
"Whatever, Gardener. Just tell us. I don't care, I just need to know about this woman." She was losing her patience. This was why she and Gardener couldn't be near one another.

"No really? We already knew that," Killian muttered as Gardener proclaimed that Mary was fcked up. They both knew first hand exactly how much so; more so then Gardener had any idea.
"Sorry..." Killian muttered as he caught Alexis "look" he figured she would eventually give him one when he began to push too much and apprently that time had come and gone and if he wanted his throat left intact he would attempt to curb his tongue...slightly anyways.
"Fine...whatever you want I'm sure Lex has it somewhere in this place," Killian agreed seconds after Alexis in response to Gardener's deal he wanted to strike up.
Hell Killian would make him the next American Idol as long as he told him what the hell he knew about Mary and they could use it to make their lives much less eventful. He had to give it to Alexis though life around her surely wasn;t boring in the least bit. Hell it never seemed to stop; when he thought about it since the moment she had literally killed him it had been one thing after another but he sort of liked having her around...and though he wouldn;t admitt it just yet he trusted her and that was something Killian hadn't done in over 300 years.

And now they were in business. Gardener had gotten them both to agree to his bargaining techniques and that's what he wanted.
"Good." Gardener smiled. "Good, good, good." He walked over and patted Killian on the back. "Good to know we have a deal." He draped his arm around Killian's shoulders and allowed the other arm to drift around Alexis's shoulders.
"Good." He smiled at them both and squeezed lightly. Letting them go, Gardener began pacing around around the shelves of merchandise.
"I met Marisolla and her husband in England somewhere around 1847. Her husband was pretty decent. He was one of those men of few words, didn't have much to add unless it was important. One of those guys where you have no idea how he got mixed up with such a lunatic. Marisolla's a vampire too-just in case you two missed the memo. And most vampires have learned to stay clear of her. She's notorious for putting spells on anyone who angers her. Her temper is lethal. Might as well sign your own freaking death warrant."
Gardener shook his head as he turned to the window. He'd seen Marisolla set a charm on one vampire woman so that her husband and children didn't recognize her. Another man had nearly died of silver poisoning when Marisolla had coated his entire flat with silver powder.
"Something happened to her when she was human. She's never let it go. Last I heard, her husband couldn't take it anymore. The two parted ways. Marisolla went off to fck up other people's lives. Her husband's in England. I think he remarried."

Alexis listened intently to Gardener's words. Truthfully, he wasn't telling them much they didn't know. But knowing was truthfully half the battle. If they knew the other vampire's background, maybe that the was key to her......rational? side.
"She mentioned the vampire fact." Alexis folded her arms over her chest. "And I think Killian knows more about her background than either of us do. But is there anything that can control her? Anything that appeals to her?"
Alexis felt like she was getting more desperate by the second. She wanted rid of Marisolla Ledeara. Killian was fine, he could stay. But the other vampire/witch/whatever she was needed to find a new undead creature to torment.

"Dude personal space much," Killian muttered as Gardener drapped his arm over his hsoulder and Killian shrugged out from under the vampires icy touchy. That was far too close then Killian was comfortable with being.
"She was tried and almost executed for being a witch during the Salem witch hunts...the vampire rescued her...so I heard...." Killian added on and then quickly ammended himself realizing it might have been a bit odd that he had that information since he hadn't even told Alexis what he had learned from Mary; even though it hadn't rightly been much.
He didn't know how they could stop Mary...hell he wasn;t sure what they had done to get so far on her bad side...well no that wasn't true but just because he didn't want to join Psychos R'Us book club didn't mean she had to go around putting curses on people.
Killian paced lsightly as he tried to figure out what the heck they could do; though he was pretty sure Gardeners knowledge had a cap on it and they still technically didn;t know what he wanted in return.
"...Do you know how we could stop her?" Killian asked daring to face Gardener once more. he dude looked like a soccer dad...a fucked up soccer dad and it was un-nerving to say the least.

Gardener was literally trapped in the memory of Marisolla Ledeara for second. He usually didn't have any problems with woman, but this one he had wanted no parts of. Her Hot/Crazy Scale was completely off the charts-on both aspects.
"That explains so much." Gardener turned to face the kid seriously for the first time since entering the shop. "But what was so appealing someone would want to save her?"
Gardener literally had no clue. He would have been more than content to throw Marisolla into a fire if he had the guts for it-but he didn't. The woman terrified him. Alexis's banter he could handle, because Alexis was relatively harmless. But Marisolla....she'd curse you just because she could.
"Well, I've got one theory." Gardener shrugged. "You could call up her husband-ex husband-whatever the hell he is. At last I knew, he could talk her down off the ledge and out of her curses. Or you could head up to Salem and attempt to reason with her. Apologize, well, beg if you will, for her to take the curse off. I'm not making promises on that one though."

Alexis turned her head to stare at Killian. When the hell had he picked up some background on Mary Harper's turning? That would have been information she'd been interested to know.
She leaned back against the counter and glanced from Gardener to Killian. Alexis was not in the mood for begging, nor was she inclined to call up a vampire she'd never dealt with before. But if Gardener said the man was reasonable, he probably was.
"I'm more comfortable taking her on face to face." Alexis looked at Killian. "And you knew her in the past. Maybe you can ration with her."
They had to have been getting to the end of Gardener's assistance in the matter. Surely, he was going to start asking for favors soon. Alexis had no desire to know what they were.

Killian couldn't help but flinch as Gardener brought up going to Salem...that idea seemed to be poping up...far more then he was comfortable with. He was going to be screwed as far as Salem went he was beginning to feel that now; he would have to if it was the only way to stop Mary...but just the same that didn't mean he had to enjoy one second of it.
"This sounds like it is going to be loads of fun...what's her ex husbadns name?" Killian muttered hoping that their luck would some how improve before they went to find Mary or Mary's ex husband or whoever because they wouldn;t be too productive in their current state of luck; hell Killian was surprised they had gotten this lucky with what Gardener was willing to share.
"So what is in this for you?" Killian asked Gardener as he made his way across the shop and hooped up on the counter top and sat down looking from Gardener and then back to Alexis. He figured once they got Gardener whatever the hell he wanted they could be done with him and he could go on his way and they could start doing what they needed to do.

"Compton." Gardener replied. "Ryden Alexander Compton. I don't know if I have his contact information. I probably know someone who does. But I'm not sure I'm willing to just hand that out for free."
Gardener watched the boy perform his acrobatics onto the counter. Something in the corner caught his eye. Reaching out, Gardener scooped up a purple bag.
"Hhmm, what's this?" He pulled it open. "Silver knife? Dead man's blood? Yeah, I'll just be hanging onto this. Can't have you turning this on Lex."
Gardener turned his attention back to his ex. Strolling to her side, he decided this was his time to get at least one answer.
"Ok, now I know Lex pretty well." Gardener slipped his arm around Alexis's waist. "And she's a good accessorizer, but I've never seen her get some weird attachment to a piece before. This is the second time I've seen her wearing this piece of trash."
He raised his hand from her waist to intercept the white gold chain. Wrapping it around his fingers, Gardener yanked it from Alexis's neck.
"Now my indication would be that since she's wearing it all the time, it means something. I'm guessing it was a gift because Lex would never waste money on such crap. You, uh...."
Gardener strolled over to Killian and dangled the broken pendant in front of him.
"You have any idea why she's got such an attachment to it? What it a gift? Maybe from a friend? Like yourself?"

Compton. The name was familiar in the back of her head. Alexis didn't know from where, but she was certain she had at least heard of the vampire, if not come face to face with him.
"How old is he? Is he English?" Alexis looked at Gardener. Suddenly, her eyes widened as he headed straight for the bag of supplies she'd given to Killian. As Gardener rifled through it, Alexis realized that Killian was in serious danger if she couldn't get to him in the nick of time.
"Gardener-." Alexis closed her eyes as she felt Gardener's arm slip around her waist. When she felt the chain break around her skin, a momentary feeling of panic set over her. She had no idea where Jon was or what he was doing, and the last thing she wanted was to lose his necklace. Her mouth opened to insist Gardener give it back, but the more she fought, the more Gardener would be encouraged.
Instead, Alexis turned her eyes to Killian. Killian had seen Jon enough to know there was something going on between them. She only hoped he wouldn't connect the dots and spill the secret to Gardener. Silently, she held Killian's eyes and shook her head.

Killian attempted to grab the purple bag before Gardener could get to it but he was too slow and he silently cursed himself once the vampire began shifting through the contents...that was very very very VERY not good...his luck sucked! But the silver linning was the flask of holy water he still had shoved in his jeans pocket that he would use if he had to.
"Better safe then sorry," Killian muttered under his breath asGardener took posession of the bag.
Killian watched curiously as the vampire made his way back over to Alexis and he could tell which each passing moment that the tide was not turning intheir favor...in the least bit.
"You have any idea why she's got such an attachment to it? What it a gift? Maybe from a friend? Like yourself?"
Killian eyed the necklace for a minute before looking back at Alexis. He had seen her with it for awhile now and if it came from someone it would have had to have been the hunter who had almost blown Killian's head off when he thought he had hurt Alexis eitherhim or that Clinton guy she always seeemd to be on the phone with but that look he caught Alexis give him made it very clear that whoever it was she didn't want Gardener to know about it.
She was so going to owe him for this.
"Yeah um...I gave it to her...they were all out of BFF charms at Claires so I got her the next best thing," Killian replied with a smirk his eyes never leaving Gardeners as he attempted to sit up straighter and not waver in the least bit.

Gardener kept his glare on the boy. In all truthfulness, he had his plan of action already mapped out regardless of the answer. Once the answer had left the boy's mouth, Gardener put his plan into action.
"Awesome." Gardener flipped the necklace over his shoulder and heard it hit somewhere in the corner of the room. "But next time you're getting her a gift, Drama Queen is a much more appropriate one."
Gardener spun around to face Alexis. He shook his head.
"Disappointing, Lex, disappointing. I always gave you so much more credit than this. You suddenly show up in America and start cozying up to the human race. In my mind, that's an abomination to the vampire race."
Gardener opened the bag again. He pulled out the syringe of dead man's blood and considered it for a moment.
"What do you think?" He moved closer to her, swinging the syringe in front of her face. "Or is this too simple? Yeah, that's what I thought."
He threw the syringe in the opposite direction of the necklace. He took a deep breath. Bracing himself, Gardener yanked the silver knife out of the bag. It burned his skin, but it was worth it. Grabbing Alexis's wrist, he yanked her to the counter next to Killian. Spreading her hand palm down on the wood, Gardener ran the knife's blade clean through her hand to pin her to the counter.
"As for you," Gardener gabbed the boy's shirt and yanked him off of the counter. He held him against the counter, staring into his eyes.
"We need to have a few words about putting your hands on other men's women."
