Alexis unlocked the shop's door, but kept the closed sign firmly in place. The entire trip back to the store she'd been fighting the urge to lie if Gardener did show up. But she suspected that Killian would out their true reasons for having contacted the other vampire. That, and if Gardener showed up and saw Killian, the boy would be dead before Alexis had a chance to react.
"I'm going to change clothes." Alexis stopped in the middle of the room and directed the question towards Killian's general direction. "Pray to whatever Deity you believe in that Gardener doesn't show up before I get back down here."
She was less than exaggerating. Alexis still felt guilty over the first meeting she and Killian had shared. The last thing in this world she wanted was to see the boy dead-again. Killian alone, with Gardener, without Alexis to defend him....well, that would most likely end in a blood bath.
Upstairs, Alexis threw on a black and gray print sleeveless dress and a different pair of heels. She pulled the front and sides of her hair back in an ornate pewter clip and returned downstairs.
No sign of Gardener, life was still good-for the moment at least.

Killian was halfway pleased that they had made it from the cafe back to the shop without being killed by some roided out dove or some other weird thing the way their luck was progressing.
"Sounds promising," Killian muttered as Alexis explained that it would be bad for the other vampire to show up while Killian was "un-attended" so to speak...excellent this guy sounded like a prize.
While Alexis went upstairs Killian rummaged through the clothes that Alexis had downstairs and managed to pick out a new pare of jeans that weren't covered in tea and a grey shirt that wasn;t covered in coffee. This would now be the second outfit he had scrounged up from Alexis's store and he was starting to winder if he should just open an account and be done with it.
Shuffeling over to the back of the store Killian quickly changed clothes and hoped that Gardener wouldn't pick then to show up. Apprently his luck wasn't that bad yet and he managed to switch into the clean clothes right when Alexis came back down the stairs.
"Looks like praying to the pizza God works afterall," Killian explained with a small smile as he attempted to make a joke which in their current state seemed pointless but just the same.
"This guy isn't gonna ignore you right?" Killian asked as he picked one of the chairs in teh room and sat down in it, figuring the less he moved the better he would be at not accidentally killing himself.

Alexis had to give Killian credit-he'd selected himself a nice outfit. She still hated the original outfit he'd appeared in her store with, so they'd come a long way.
"Pizza has garlic in it-whether you order it that way or not." Alexis wrinkled her nose at the reference. She'd never spent much time around pizza, but her coworkers seemed to enjoy it enough.
"I don't think we're going to be lucky enough for that." Alexis took a deep breath. Personally, she was hoping that Gardener would delete her voicemail without listening to it. She could handle a crazy Salem witch. Defending Killian from Gardener would take a lot.
"Look, let me give you a run down on Gardener: he and I used to be together....but we can spend about an hour together without ripping each other's heads off. Gardener's a very violent vampire. He only turns women, but he'll kill anyone he can get his hands on. I think I can control him-but if I can't...."
Alexis walked over to the counter and pulled open the bottom drawer. She pulled out a purple velvet bag and held it out to Killian.
"It's got a bottle of holy water, a syringe of dead man's blood, and a silver knife. If he comes close to you, or tries anything, take him out. And if he goes after me, get yourself out. I can take him."

"Gardener. Alexis. I need to see you. Meet me at 518 Colton Avenue. That's my business address. As soon as you can."
Gardener smirked. So Alexis had come crawling back. Big surprise. She had never been good about staying way from her, despite how bad they continually ended up being.
He was intrigued about what this call meant. He suspected she'd probably reconsidered his offer. That was a good thing. He wanted her to come to Paris with him-no-he needed her to. No one could handle an unruly group of vampire men better than Alexis. She really was the perfect allegiance. She just made a terrible girlfriend.
Gardener found the shop with no troubles. Pushing the door open, he stepped inside. Gardener slipped his sunglasses off and looked around. Alexis looked hot, as usual. That was a given, he could have guessed that from five miles away. But another scent immediately perked up his senses.
In the back of the room was a young man. A young human man. A slow grin slipped across Gardener's face.
"Well, Lex, you didn't tell me this was a dinner meeting." Gardener pushed the door shut behind him and locked it quickly. He didn't want to be disturbed if Alexis was now offering him gifts.

"Kinky," Killian replied with a half smile as Alexis explained the situation between herself and this Gardner guy. The more and more she talked about him the more and more Killian couldn't help but think that this guy was going to be bad news...especially considering how their luck had been going lately.
Killian grabbed the bag Alexis held out to him hesitantly...she was serious about this guy being a complete psycho and that didn't make Killian feel any more at ease. Opening the bag slightly Killian peered inside and sure enough it was filled with everything she had said it would be.
"This really isn't all needed right Lex? I mean he can't be that..." Killian's words were cut off as the door to the front of the shop swung open and a man that Killian would easily guess was Gardner walked briskly into the shop shutting and locking the door behind him.
"Well, Lex, you didn't tell me this was a dinner meeting."
"...Bad," Killian muttered under his breath as he took a cautious step backwards keeping his distance from the man at the front of the shop and himself more towards the back; he also kept the bag Alexis gave him close at hand.
Just looking at the guy told him that maybe Alexis hadn;t been being dramtic after all.

Alexis was relieved that Killian had taken the bag without arguing. She wished she could reassure him that Gardener wasn't as bad as she was making him out to be....but....
It was at that moment the door chose to swing open to reveal the figure of Gardener Wild strolling into the shop. Alexis felt her stomach hit somewhere through the floor and probably into the sewers below.
"Always a pleasure, Gardener." She responded dryly. "And NO." She emphasized the last part, even though telling Gardener no in this case was like telling a bird not to fly. "Not a dinner meeting. This is Killian. And he and I could use a bit of your.....assistance."
Assistance sounded better than help. If she said help, Gardener would just get more arrogant.
"Killian, Gardener, Gardener, Killian. Now you both know each other."

Gardener crossed the room and leaned over to brush a quick kiss against Alexis's cheek. He noticed she was still wearing that god-awful heart shaped necklace. Not only was she still wearing it, that meant she'd had it repaired since their last meeting. Clearly, it was more than some idle trinket.
"Pleasure doesn't begin to cut it, darling. But no? What do you mean no?" Gardener spun around to face the human boy.
"Killian, eh? What type of lineage is that?" Gardener strolled over to stand face to face with the boy. He looked him up and down. Whatever was attracting Alexis to this one Gardener didn't see. With her age, and the boy's, it looked like some weird Mrs. Robinson deal.
"Nice to meet you, boy." Gardener turned to face Alexis. "You mean you need my help, Lex? That's what you're trying to say, my help, right?"
He chuckled low in his throat as he crossed back to Alexis. He took hold of the chain around her neck and examined the pendant. Maybe it was some rare find or something. He dropped it against the front of her dress. They'd sort through this one later. Right now, Gardener was fascinated with what might have driven Lex to call him up.
"So what's the problem that you're not only calling me, but we're not dining on Boy Wonder over there? He got something on you, Princess?" Gardener dropped down into a chair that looked expensive. He kicked his feet up on a table that was in front of it. The table looked just as expensive, if not more so.

Killian never took his eyes off of Gardener the entire time the vampire made his way through the shop. He watched carefully as the vampire made his way over to Alexis and Killian used that moment to slip the bag open and pull out the flask of holy water adn slip it into the front of his jeans pocket before setting the bag donw on the counter out of the way but in reach if he needed it to be.
Killian immediately tensed as he found himself standing toe to toe with the new vampire. It would be the shortest meeting in history if he got killed now. But just the same he squared his shoulders and kept his eyes set forward not letting on to the bit of nervousness which came with being straed down by a thing that could rip his throat out...again. Once had well and truley been enough for the likes of him.
"Likewise," Killian forced himself to respond in a "friendly" manner to the vampires greeting.
"So what's the problem that you're not only calling me, but we're not dining on Boy Wonder over there? He got something on you, Princess?"
Ok so this guy was an ass...an undead ass but an ass just the same; hell Killian could play that game.
Once Gardener had sat down in one of the chairs Killian moved from his current spot and made his way over to stand next to Alexis. He felt there was a more even playing field if he stuck by her during this little shindig.
"We need information and Alexis thought you might have it," Killian responded to the question he was more then certain wasn't directed at him but he didn't rightly care the meeting was with the 3 of them...not the 2 vampires and the side salad.

Gardener's head and eyes turned in the boy's direction as he decided to jump into the conversation. Wow, this was a brave one. Joining in with two vamps? Impressive.
"Oh, information you say?" Gardener's eyes widened in mock concern and his voice slowed as if he was speaking to a two year old. "Well, that's different. What type of information do you and Alexis want?"
Gardener got to his feet and faced the boy. He was not pleased with this situation, and the fact that the kid was now standing closer to Alexis was not sitting well with him at all. If he laid one finger on her, Gardener would gladly rip it off and shove it down his throat.
"Alexis doesn't play with humans." Gardener told Killian, his eyes locked on the boy's. "Because she's a vampire. And you know what you are to a vampire? The equivalent of a Whopper Jr. from your local BK. As for you....."
Gardener turned his attention back on Alexis. Her Hot/Crazy Scale ratings were now off the chart. She wasn't getting any hotter, but she was certainly getting crazier.
"When did you start playing with humans? What the hell did you drink that sent you over the edge? He-dinner. You-hungry. That's the game-not let's protect the main course. You call me over here and waste my time so that I can give "information" to you and Breakfast over there?"
He was not pleased. Alexis was either playing some sort of messed up game that Gardener was not enjoying-or she was serious about actually having something to do with this kid. Whichever it was, Gardener was not enjoying it. He was hoping it was the first option so that he could at least give her credit for a good set up later.

Alexis groaned to herself as she realized she'd forgotten to remove the necklace Jon had given her. This would be the second time Gardener had seen her with it, and while she was a skilled liar, she was running out of choices.
"I said no, and I believe I said it one of the languages you speak." She muttered, keeping her eyes glued on Gardener as he strolled over to Killian. She waited to see if he'd actually hold off on murdering the boy, and was pleasantly surprised when he did.
"Yes, Gardener, we need your help." Alexis started to turn on a smile, but she froze up when she saw him drape himself over the table and chair in front of him. They were both worth more than his life had ever been. Alexis felt sick just seeing him touch the pieces.
She bit her tongue as she saw the first flair of Gardener's temper when Killian joined them. She was going to have to see if she couldn't remember her best tactics for keeping Gardener under control.
"Gardener, Gardener, Gardener...." Alexis took his arm and led him back to the chair he'd vacated. "Darling, of course we called you for help. You're the only person I could think of with enough supernatural knowledge to even begin to scratch the surface of this enigma."
Alexis settled herself on the arm of the chair, gathering Gardener's hand into hers.
"Killian and I had a brief run in with a witch a few days back. I know you've had your share of encounters with that type of crowd, and naturally I thought she might be a friend of mine. What do you say? Help us out with a few questions....for my sake?"

"Yes...we need information," Killian gritted out in response to Gardener's sardonic tone. Killian straightened once more as the other vampire made his way back over to him. Killian was about to challenge him to a staring contest just to get it over with as his eyes locked on to the vampire once more.
"Alexis doesn't play with humans."
"Apprently she does...maybe you've just been left out of the reindeer games there Rudolph," Killian snapped his arms crossing defiently across his chest.
Killian held his tongue or well damn near bit it off as he attempted to stay silent in regards to Gardeners rant about him basically being every sort of meal possible...breakfast...lunch...and dinner apprently; hell if he was lucky there might have been a midnight snack reference in there some where but Killian was too focused and didn't catch it all.
He eyes the bag he had left across the other side of the room and half wondered if it would be justified to stab the undead dick in the heart with the dead man's blood and call it a night. He didn't want to go to Salem by any account but he didn;t think this guy was going to be of any help to anyone but himself.
Killian's eyes darkened as he watched Alexis cozy up along Gardener...how the hell had he managed to screw this life up so royally? Seriously this degree of fuck up had to be a honed skill.
"You know Alexis...maybe he isn't as good as you thought he was," Killian offered with a slight smirk as he leaned against the wall and stared back at the two vampires.

Alexis almost laughed. Killian had gotten the full Gardener experience, and apparently he was figuring it out with no problems whatsoever. Killian certainly knew how to take him on. If the boy had been a vampire, Gardener would have probably backed down. Unfortunately, Alexis knew that would be the case with a human.
"Oh, don't worry, Killian. Gardener's as good as I think, he's just having a moment because this wasn't his plan. Gardener likes to be in charge, don't you darling?" Alexis tightened her fingers on Gardener's hand.
"Gardener, you should be flattered. Killian and I needed you. And what better position is that to be in? In response for your help, it's only fit you should get something in return. What do you say, darling, can we make a deal?"
Alexis held her breath. There was no way out of this situation without bargaining with Gardener Wild. She didn't want to know what he would want.

Gardener was personally amazed that he had not yet ripped the boy's throat out. He was not about to let a human speak to him in such a fashion. For him to even begin to believe he knew the inner workings of the vampires was ludicrous.
"I know her better than you could ever dream of, kid." Gardener hissed as he felt Alexis's hand fall onto his arm. He was beginning to suspect that this was the human behind Alexis's necklace-and he didn't like that one bit.
Gardener was content to turn his anger on Alexis. He hoped she was about to offer some explanation, but before one could come the boy managed to get in yet another insult. And by the smirk on his face, the kid knew it. Gardener would have flown from the chair and thrown the boy through a wall had it not been for Alexis's hand on his.
"Are you implying that I'm a control freak, Lex?" Gardener growled through clenched teeth. His desire was to continue muttering, but the thought of a deal sounded promising.
Gardener could think of so many things he wanted right in this instant. But in order to ensure he got that, he was going to have to hold the cards. Not that he was going to let either of them walk out of the room without paying a price, but they didn't need to know that.
"If you two are willing to bargain, I might be more inclined to help. But I'm sorry, I don't recall you having dropped this witch's name. So who are we talking here? Galinda? Elphaba? Samantha? Or was this more the Bette Midler in "Hocus Pocus" kind of deal?"

Killian listened carefully as Alexis further pushed Gardener so to speak in the hopes that the vampire would just help them already. Seriously they lived forever who had time to sit and pull teeth about every little thing?
"If you say so Lexi...but gez I have to say here I was expecting the big bad wolf when I just got the vamped out version of Tom Cruise," Killian brushed off Gardeners "help" but the truth was that was far from it but he would be damned if he let on how much he really hoped the doucebag could help them.
"I know her better than you could ever dream of, kid."
"I'm not a kid...and so far you haven;t shown you know Lexi at all...sir," Killian responded pulling his own sardonic tone into the mix. Two could defiently play at this game...though Killian hoped it didn't involve him from going from player to after game snack.
"Wow no more pop culture TV for you...you just passed my useless knwoledge by knowing all of those witches names," Killian replied with a small smile. In truth...it was pretty fucking amusing.
"Her original name was Mary Harper but she now goes by the name Marisolla Ledeara," Killian explained his arms still crossed over his chest as he looked back towards Gardener to see if there was any sort of recognition now that the vampire had the name.

Gardener had to smirk at the boy's reference to pop culture. In truth, he was a human pop culture junkie. He'd never admit it though. But hey, even vampires loved cable. Gardener had spent hours watching late night reruns on TV Land. "Don't press me on her, kiddo." Gardener jerked his head towards Alexis while pulling his hand from her grasp. "And you sure as hell look like some shirt tail punk to me. Are you sure you're old enough to be away from your moma?" Mary Harper....Marisolla Ledeara??At the sound of the name, Gardener's face paled. He was not afraid of other vampires-any other vampires-except for Marisolla Ledeara. He had crossed paths with her in the past and he did not wish to repeat the situation. "Marisolla Ledeara?" He asked, his mouth suddenly going dry. "She's not here, is she? You don't have her stashed in some closet around here, do you?" His eyes moved rapidly towards the door. If Marisolla Ledeara was involved, Lex and Killian could play whatever the hell they wanted-Gardener was out.
