"Just had to end up here." Ruby muttered to herself as she looked around after finding herself in a graveyard. Of all the places to be, this wasn't the one she particularly wanted to be. They weren't her favourite places to hang around in, but this one was business. She had managed to escape Lilith's grasp again, although she still had that fear instilled in her, that the demon would find her and make her pay. She would never show that fear especially around the Winchester's but it was always there, nagging at her. She did her best to ignore it though, she and she did a good job of it, apart from when she stopped and thought about things. That was never good.
Her hand went to the hilt of her knife, making her feel a little safer as she looked to her right, hearing a noise coming from that direction. Ignoring some hair that decided to blow in front of her face Ruby set off in that direction, as quietly as possibly, pulling her knife out, just in case.
Suddenly out of instinct she stopped and leaned back, letting a foot just avoid contact with her face, as she then kicked out in front of her, kicking her attacker away. "I heard you'd been looking for me Rex." Ruby said coldly to the guy that stood in front of her with a slightly crazy grin on his face. The demon was inhabiting a body in what looked like a guy in his mid 20s, but she had known who it was before she'd even seen him. "Yeah well, Lilith's pretty pissed at you...Ooo I wouldn't want to be in your shoes, after all anyone who sends you back to Hell, gets to have first dips on torturing you." He paused a moment, looking her up and down. "After Lilith's done with you of course." He grinning, moving forward again and aiming a punch at her, which she avoided deftly but then her face came into contact with his other fist from the other side.
Moving sideways Ruby hit out at him with her free hand and swiped at him with her knife, which he only just missed, jumping backwards. She hated this guy. "Just one thing." She told Rex. "I'm not going to Hell yet, but you might." She said, moving towards him, kicking him backwards, and threw her knife at him which he hadn't been expecting. A shocked look was painted on his face as he looked down at her knife which was sticking out of his chest. "Ciao." Ruby said to him coldly as she walked up to him, and pulled the knife out of him, leaving the body to flop onto the floor.
She wiped the knife on the guy's jacket before replacing it where it had been. That was one demon out the way. More to go, she thought to herself. Although she wanted to check up on Sam, she thought she'd wait and just see what happened. Ruby turned and walked back the way she had come, wanting to get out of this graveyard now. They always gave her the creeps...Even though she was a demon, they just did.

Sam hadn’t known where he was going or even where he wanted to go after leaving the motel room he had just known he had to be away from his brother and he figured it wasn’t a far stretch to believe Dean wanted to be as far away from him as possible.
He hadn’t known where exactly he was going or if there was even anything to be found but as the old grey stoned cathedral loomed in front of him he knew he had found it. He stood outside of the church for what could have felt like hours but he couldn’t take another step inside…not yet. This was not a plea for help or a call for guidance it was a reckoning. A reckoning with his faith and basically a reckoning with God. Sam Winchester had a mission that cold November; it was to know why he had been forsaken.
He had moved without the slightest thought about it and as his hand wrapped around the handle to the church he flinched slightly as the cold metal almost seemed to bite into his skin or scorch it as if hell fire but regardless he continued on and the low moan of the door granted him entry way into his purgatory. The chapel was empty or at least he gave that impression by the deserted pews and the deathly silence that had consumed it. There was not a sound save for the shuffle of Sam’s boots along the ornate floor of the church. Sam slipped in the very first pew and sat down upon the cold wooden pew his eyes immediately staring up at the crucifix which hung above the alter like a beckon of hope and promise…for most anyways.
He had tried to obey the warnings of the angels in regards to his powers he had tried to keep the promise he had made to himself most of all but he had failed. He knew he had been left without a choice but the eyes of his brother burned into him time and time again as he had used his powers to exorcise Samhain back to hell. But if he hadn’t he would have been dead his brother shortly after and God only knew how many countless other innocent people after them…God did know. But Sam wouldn’t have that blood on his hands; he already had far too much staining him crimson and tainting him.
“What is it you want from me?” Sam asked his voice small but even so it still echoed along the empty walls of the church his eyes staring…almost glaring back at the crucifix.
“I never…never turned my back on you so why is it ok…why…” Sam’s voice went silent the words he wanted lost to him as white hot tears scolded their way down his face his eyes never wavering from the crucifix.
They weren’t listening though…Sam could feel it he knew he was being ignored…forsaken for reasons he couldn’t stop or even understand. The one thing he had held on to in his life had left him alone but then again it wouldn’t be the first time as of late that a constant had left him to fend for himself. He had already pulled himself from the pit of his own hell on earth and he knew he would survive and he would. That was what the Winchesters did they survived…by any means necessary their father had taught them and now was no exception.
Though he was cast aside he wouldn’t lose himself not the way the demons wanted and not the way the “angels” feared. No Sam Winchester knew exactly who he was and be damned what anyone else saw.
“Fine…” Sam growled his voice taking on a much darker tone then the soft pleading it had held mer moments before.
“But remember it was you who turned your back on me…” Sam’s eyes now all but burned into the crucifix as he pulled himself from the pew and all but tore himself down the aisle of the church before yanking the door open to the church and storming out.
He still had no direction and merely took off down the sidewalk which wrapped along the side of the church keeping his head down and his hands shoved firmly in his pockets.

Ruby walked away from the body in the middle of the graveyard. She didn't care about it, the coldness of the kill just grown into her, she was so used to it she wouldn't flinch. Not when it was demons that wanted to send her back down to Hell. No, she would fight tooth and nail to keep out of that place as long as she could. A shudder ran through her as she made her way out of the place keeping her eyes and ears open to any other noise that may indicate any more demons hanging around.
She glanced up and saw the church in front of her, and she stopped for a moment as if she were studying it but not quite. She saw some movement down the side of it and a frown crossed her face as she strained to see if it was another demon trying to do a bad job of sneaking up on her. But no...She took a few more steps forward to make sure she knew who she was seeing. Sam? What was he doing here? He looked like he was in deep thought though, but she decided to speak to him anyway, she wouldn't pass up that oppertunity.
Quickly leaving the graveyard she made her way along the path that would meet with Sam's so she wouldn't make him jump if he hadn't noticed her already. Coming closer, Ruby crossed her arms, bringing her jacket round her as if she were cold. "Evening Sam." She said softly as she neared him, glancing up at the youngest Winchester with a small smile.

A voice in the dark caused Sam to snap to attention though immediately recognizing it and seeing that it was Ruby caused him little room for alarm though he was rather surprised to see her near to a church of all places.
“Ruby,” Sam said with a faint smile as he looked back at her.
“Looking to find religion?” Sam asked motioning to the church dismissively.
His eyes locked upon Ruby and he couldn’t help but feel the faintest bit of relief at finding her here in the shadows. For the last several months it had always felt that no matter how dark the world around Sam got Ruby kept him grounded in some way. A part of him knew that perhaps she had things of her own to gain by teaching him how to sue his powers but that did not take away from the fact that she was there for him after Dean died.
Sam had been beyond his lowest point when he had stumbled back across Ruby and it had only been through her that he had even lived long enough to see Dean pulled from hell. So regardless of what Dean or the angels said Sam trusted her with everything he had…he couldn’t help but to trust her.
Ruby had spent years in hell and she knew what evils were there and yet she had fought against being like the rest of them and wanted to do something about stopping the spread of evil; for the life of him he couldn’t understand how that could be bad. Of course Dean had never been a fan of believing in the areas of grey it was always shot now ask questions never.

Ruby was happy that Sam acknowledged her without pulling a gun on her, although she wasn't sure if he had one on him. Not that he needed a gun against a demon, with the work she had been doing with him. She was happy and impressed with him, he was a hard worker when he wanted to be, and she could push him hard without worrying too much if he was going to break.
A smirk crossed her face at Sam's question. "Not quite. Had a demon problem in the graveyard next door that needed to be taken care of, but that problem is sorted now." She explained to him. She didn't like keeping things from Sam, she trusted him as he trusted her, and she wanted to keep it that way.
She had kept him going through the months Dean was in Hell, although a lot of that was hard work. Especially when he was drinking and wanted to go after Lilith. That was one demon who wasn't stupid, and was going to take a lot to send her ass back to Hell where it belongs.
"What brings you out here? Fresh air? Or is Dean getting to you again? You know I'm not surprised you don't have more arguments than you do, you are rather tolerant of him." Ruby admitted to Sam with a slight shrug. She really didn't think that highly of Dean to be honest, he just pissed her off most of the time when he refused to listen. And then continued to insult her even when he did accept her help. She really didn't understand him some of the time. But that didn't matter in the end, all that mattered was that Sam trusted her.

Sam’s eyes flickered for a moment towards the graveyard and then settled back upon Ruby.
“Did it have anything we could use?” Sam asked wondering if Ruby had been able to gather any more information regarding Lilith. Every once in awhile they were lucky enough to come across a demon who would be willing to spill their guts in order to be let go…they never let them go but they did get the knowledge in regards to Lilith.
“Dean,” Sam answered curtly his thoughts immediately going back to his brother who was back at the motel.
“With the help of a siren’s spell it has been an eventful day,” Sam added on bitterly as he walked past Ruby and sat down upon an empty bench which sat outside of the gates of the graveyard.
“I learned a few things about Dean…and he learned a few about me…”
“You know I'm not surprised you don't have more arguments than you do, you are rather tolerant of him."
“He’s my brother Ruby…he raised me he...Jesus Christ he went to hell for me…” Sam muttered as his eyes sought out hers in the darkness. He knew she didn’t understand Dean and Lord knew Dean didn’t even pretend to understand her.
“Lately I think that…I think that he probably wishes he hadn’t. I can lie to him all I want to and he still thinks I’m some demonic freak and he doesn’t even have to say it…we’re helping people though…it matters right?” Sam’s question hung in the air between him as his eyes slipped from her down to his feet.

"No." Ruby said bluntly when Sam asked if the demon she had fought had any information regarding Lilith. "He only confirmed what I had thought. Lilith has her minions spread out around the place, all with orders to send me back to Hell. Not that it'll happen though, but he didn't know anything. Lilith would be long gone from here by now." Ruby told Sam as she followed him to the bench. He sat down and she was a little hesitant in sitting down next to him, as he didn't sound very happy, but did so anyway, her ears pricking slightly when he mentioned a siren. She had never come across one, but knew how they were.
Ruby listened to Sam quietly, feeling a little guilty for not being more sensitive about the brothers relationship, but most of her didn't, she only felt guilty for making Sam possibly feel a little worse. She met his gaze in the dark, wanting him to know that she was here when he needed her. "We are helping people Sam, you know that, you don't need to ask. We're helping people without killing them, and thats the best thing we can do. As well as getting information on Lilith on the way. It's a win-win situation, and your brother is just taking longer to understand that." Ruby explained to him softly. She didn't need Sam doubting himself now, not when he had been doing so well.

Rosella had been quiet and peaceful for way too long. After her games in the other cemetary, she was ready to move on. And tonight was her night. She could feel it. There were people coming-someone would want to play with her.
"Oh my darlin'....oh my darlin'....oh my darlin' Clementime. You are lost and gone forever....oh my darlin' Clementine."
Rosella skipped back and forth between a row of tombstones.
"Sarah, Jon and Jacob. All died in 1842-ages 5, 2, and 9." She hummed. Rosella always hummed when she was happy.
Suddenly, Rosella heard voices. She turned towards them and ran in their direction.
"Ooohhhh...." The word escaped her mouth in an excited gasp. A demon-a girl she didn't know. And-.
"Sam Winchester." She whispered as her eyes lit with excitment.
It was really him! In the flesh! Anxiously, Rosella looked around to see if his brother was with him. She didn't see or hear anyone else. Now she was nearly too excited to settle down and keep quiet.
Heading to the first row of tombstones, Rosella sat down on the ground where she could watch the exchange.
"Baa baa black sheep have you any wool? Yes sir, yes sir, 3 bags full......" She sang the words as she traced her finger idly through the dirt.

Sam sat silently next to Ruby as she explained htat whoebver the demon ha dbeen that she had dispatched had been useless as far as them finding out anything in regards to Lilith and where she would go next; another brick wall. Sam seemed to collect those more then he actually caught a break.
Sam allowed his eyes to lock on to Ruby's as she met his gaze and he couldn;t help but feel connected with her. She had been there for him and she was still there for him. There was no doubt in his mind that his brother lved him...cared about him...and would kill him if he had to. A year ago he wouldn't have thought Dean would have been able to carry out his promise but now Sam held the fear that one of these days he would. The problem was that Dean and Sam no longer agreed upon what was evil and what wasn't.
"I know we are...but...I can't figure it all out. I can't be and do everything for everyone. I want Lilith dead Ruby and I want this over," he growled his vocie low and dangerous at the mer mentions of the other demons name.
"I can't do this forever...I wont," Sam said his eyes now blazing back into Ruby's.
"I'm not in control of it...not all the time. You said I could take her out; take Lilith out without so much as breaking a sweat and we have bene at this for months...months and we're no closer to finding her now then we were 10 months ago. But I'm closer to hell then I've ever been Ruby. I'm waiting for it; waiting for the day I walk intot he motel room and Dean puts a bullet in me or an angel smites me for the hell of it!"
The frusturation and anger was getting the better of Sam but before he could utter another word the soft sound from the graveyard behind them filtered through the night air.

Ruby could feel the anger building up in Sam and moved her hand and placed it on his shoulder softly, wanting him to calm down, she didn't like it when he got angry. Even though his powers were stronger she found when he was angry, now wasn't the time. "And you will get Lilith, when you're ready, when your stronger. Just be patient. Even though I'm not your brother's biggest fan but even I don't think he's gonna be putting a bullet in you anytime soon." Ruby said to Sam. She didn't like Dean, but even she didn't think he would think about killing his brother. He's sacrificed so much for Sam, she didn't think he would yet.
Unless those damm angels kept getting to him. She almost shuddered at the thought. She hated the angels, definite ones to avoid, they didn't care she was helping Sam. Although she was very much relieved when they didn't kill her when she helped the guys with Anna, but was still cautious about them, she was never going to turn her back on them that was for sure.
"The time will come when you will need your strength for your power to work on the more powerful demons and for that to happen you need to be sure." Ruby said, before frowning slightly and glancing behind them where a sound was coming from the graveyard. "Don't tell me we have more company." Ruby muttered, sensing something there, something with no good intentions. Although part of her wished for a break, like Sam, but knew it probably wasn't going to happen anytime soon.

Sam’s eyes turned to Ruby as she placed her hand upon his shoulder. He trusted her beyond reason; hell in truth he had every reason on paper not to trust her she was a demon after all but she had done more for him then anyone knew and for that he owed her his trust as well as his life. His eyes darkened slightly though as Ruby used the “when you’re ready / stronger” line on him. That was another thing he had been hearing for months now.
“When I’m stronger?! How much stronger do you expect me to get Ruby? I mean what we’re doing…that’s pretty much as much as we can do. Between the pulling the demons from their hosts and the…and your blood,” Sam said the last part of that statement as more so of a whisper his disappointment for himself in that regard showing through.
“What else am I suppose to do? I can kill them now Ruby…Jesus I took out Alastair without too much effort. We spend all this time on the small things and I’m tired of it. It’s Lilith or it’s nothing,” Sam growled pulling away from Ruby’s touch as he stood up from the bench his eyes searching the darkness of the graveyard behind them.
"Don't tell me we have more company.”
Not that the company of a demon was ever welcomed but the anger and frustration Sam felt coursing through his veins would do well to be focused on getting rid of a demon instead of thinking on anything else. His eyes glanced to Ruby for a moment as he took a step towards the graveyard waiting to see if the sound they had both heard before would happen again.

Ruby braced herself when she knew Sam was gonna have another rant and mostly shout and complain. She had put up with it for months whilst Dean had been gone, so why was now any different. So perhaps she had kept repeating herself, but she needed to keep reminding him, she thought.
"Yeah well you might as well think you're stronger now you've had a better taste of demon blood, but you still have to refine it. You may have sent Alistair packing, but Lilith is still a different ball game." Ruby said seriously to Sam, in a low voice, almost as if a warning for him to listen, rather than just go off on one.
She looked up at him when he stood off the bench, away from her. She knew he was angry, and frustrated, yeah she would be, but while he was still listening to her, she knew he probably wouldn't go off on his own to find Lilith. Plus, he knew she'd find him before he could go too far anyway.
"You still need to practise and refine your new found 'strength', before you face Lilith head on. But I promise, when you're done we'll find Lilith. I'll do some hard digging and get information on her whereabouts, but first why don't you practise on whatever is in the graveyard." She suggested to him, the look in his eyes when he looked at her, said it all, and he needed to take his frustration out on something, and she would rather it not be her.
Ruby stood up from the bench, crossing her arms as she faced the Winchester. "Look I know it may seem like its taking time, but you've gotta understand I don't want you going up against Lilith under prepared and getting killed." Ruby explained to Sam, in a softer tone, but still with a harsh undertone. Sometimes part of her wanted to not care for Sam, life would be easier without it, but she did, and it was too late to deny it now.

Rosella watched as Sam Winchester and the demon seemed to notice her. She flopped down onto the ground, a bright smile on her face.
She'd always dreamed of meeting the Winchesters. She thought Dean was better looking, but Sam....there was just something about him. She couldn't name it. She wanted to play with him.
"Loo, loo, skip to m'loo." She hummed the tune softly. "Skip to m'loo....."
Rosella slipped up from her place on the ground to hide behind a tombstone. She watched the two for a long time before jumping to her feet and running to the left of the others. She ducked behind a tall monument, wondering if they'd noticed her.
"Loo....loo....skip to m'loo...."

Legion had heard rumors of late, of the "boy king" everyone was talking about. The rumors had said that this hunter was able to kill Alastair using mysterious powers. Legion found this intriguing. Alastair, Lilith, and himself were primarily on the same level of power. It was time to meet this anti-christ for himself.
Legion stood watching Sam Winchester and the demon called Ruby talk. He also quickly glanced at a girl snooping around. She was not his concern. Legion stepped out of the shadows, while hearing the demon girl mention the name Lilith. Legion's eyes showed white for a moment but then returned to normal. He was ready to come face to face with Sam Winchester.
"Well hello there."

Rosella's eyes flashed black with excitment as another demon joined the crew. Now Sam Winchester was officially outnumbered-3 to 1. But then, the other girl demon probably wouldn't be any fun. She'd probably take his side over Rosella's and this new demon who had appeared. For a moment, she sulked at the thought.
Her immediate thought was to join the others, maybe see if the male demon would want to join her in a game with the Winchester boy.....but that might spoil her fun as of later. He was probably of a higher tier than she was, and he could do much more with Winchester than she could.....for the moment, Rosella decided to take in the show and see if the rumors were true about Sam Winchester's meetings with demons.
