Alexis laugh softly at Jon's words. She wrapped one arm around his neck and pulled him close to her for a moment.
"I'm glad you're feeling so much better. And I think we have an entire evening after this." She kissed his cheek lightly before pulling away to slip into the car. When Jon joined her, she slid across the seat and tucked herself into his arms.
Alexis couldn't deny Jon knew how to plan an amazing evening. The seats he'd acquired were fantastic. She was focused on the stage when she felt him slip something around her neck. Glancing down, she caught sight of the sparkling diamonds in the heart pendant as the lights went down.
"It's beautiful." She whispered, leaning over to kiss him lightly. "I love it. And I love you."
Alexis laced her fingers through Jon and held onto it securely. She wanted nothing more than to never let go of him-ever.

A few hours later, the curtain was closing on what had been a very bizarre and somewhat disturbing show. He hadn't looked anything up about it other than a recommendation from one of his business associates.
Great now she'll think I'm some kind of freak.
"Ummm... I... the play was... well, I guess you saw it as well. I just want you to know I didn't actually pick this out. An associate told me to check it out. Let's just go on to the next part of the evening."
He grabbed her hand and led her back to the limo waiting for them. He'd decided to take her dancing in case the show was a flop to make up for it. It was a party at a club that featured a dance through the centuries event. Attendees were meant to dance like people centuries ago did up to some of the more popular dances of today..
"I figured it was something you might be able to teach me", he said after explaining what it was.
The limo pulled up in front of the club as they once more cut right to the door past the line. Some people were already on the dance floor getting ready to start. Jon snuck a look to see Alexis's reaction, he hadn't gone on an actual date in a while and he'd hate to ruin it with her.
"Après vous mademoiselle."

Alexis gradually let her head fall onto Jon's shoulder as the play moved forward in front of them. The play was far different than she was expecting. She wouldn't call it bad, but it certainly wasn't the best she'd ever seen.
"It wasn't that terrible." She told him as she got up at the end. "I'm not sure I want to see it again tomorrow, but it was enough to be a learning experience."
There was another part of the evening? Alexis was curious. She clung to his hand back down to the limo and once more was content to settle herself into his arms. His scent was enticing in a way she'd never noticed in a human.
The club was one she'd never been to before. She had a number of associates which liked to hold parties in clubs, but this was one they'd forgotten. Alexis slipped her fingers through Jon's as she studied the room. He'd hit a subject she knew well on, as it had been such a high focus on education hundreds of years ago.
"I think I can help you with this." She smiled and tugged his hand lightly onto the dance floor as the music started. Fortunately, a 17th century waltz was the starting point. It brought back memories Alexis thought she'd completely surpressed.
"Follow my lead. You'll catch on after a few steps." She told him as she carefully positioned his hand on her waist and her hand on his should before taking his other hand. "It's much simpler than it looks."
She began to slowly lead them to the music, guiding him gracefully around the dance floor.

Thank god she knows how to do this.
Jon let Alexis lead him for a few moments until he got the hang of it. He gently took over the lead as other couples stared at them somewhat surprised they knew how to dance so well. Most of the men were more interested in Alexis than their dancing which caused a fair amount of toe stepping in the different groups.
"Just let me know if you're getting tired because I have one more stop before I show you my new place."
The dancing began to progress through history so after a few hours they were into the dances of the turn of the century. He would never have done this before but Alexis actually made it enjoyable to do.
"So you never did tell me what you like to do on dates, I can't imagine going out for dinner is a favorite of yours."

Alexis was pleased that Jon caught on to the dance so well. She knew some men who would have tripped over themselves the entire evening, but Jon had an amazing natural sense.
"You're very good at this." She told him. "I'm impressed."
The modern dances which they began to move through didn't excite her. People now days didn't understand how important dancing used to be to culture. They were missing out.
"One more stop? You've really out done yourself with this one, darling." She let her hand drift gently over his cheek. When he brought up dates, Alexis had to think.
"Honestly, this may be a first for me. I've never dated. I never saw a point to it until now that is." She gave him a soft smile. "As for dinner, I've been to enough business dinners that they really don't bother me now. There are a few foods I can't stand, but I can mostly get around those."

Jon took Alexis's hand and led her out to the limo. He saw she didn't like the newer dances which was fine with him since he didn't either. He opened her door to let her in and climbed in on the other side. The driver took them to one of the entrances to Central Park and opened the doors to let them out. Jon didn't say anything as he walked her to a horse drawn carriage. He helped her in and as soon as he was in the driver got the horse moving into a trot.
Jon wrapped his arm around Alexis as the sights passed by them. The only one he was interested in was the one next to him. He was comfortable enough sitting with her looking up at the night sky. He leaned over and captured her lips in his, glad he had someone to be with. He was thinking she might actually be the one to settle his lifestyle.

Alexis could only guess at the next part of their evening as Jon took her hand and led her from the club. Being with him was the only thing she really gave a damn about right now.
She kept her hand on his in the limo. She was content with the silence between them because it was a peaceful silence, not one of those awkward ones that comes after an argument.
When the car stopped, she got out and let him lead her towards the carriage. This was one aspect of New York that she had missed. At the moment, she should have paid attention to the sights which passed around them, but as Jon settled himself beside her, she closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder. His scent was so perfect-between human, blood and the general smell that came with men.
Raising her head to look at him, she caught his lips in perfect timing. One of her hands reached up and wrapped gently around his neck, pulling his head closer to deepen the kiss.

Jon felt Alexis pull him in for a deeper kiss, his passion rising he bit gently on her lip.
"I take it you're enjoying yourself tonight then?"
He went back to kiss her more, her lips were to amazing to pass up. He could smell her perfume and it intoxicated him. Everything about her was perfect, maybe this was the mind control ability the movies always said vampires have. A thought presented itself at the back of his mind but at the moment he had more interesting things to think about.
Before he knew it they were at their stop, he took Alexis's hand as he helped her down from the carriage. After tipping the driver he walked her to his apartment across the street. He unlocked the door and took her to his apartment. He was glad to see that all the furniture was in place. He had chosen to go with deep red furniture and a carpet to match everything else. He had to have hired a personal decorator but he was pleased with it all. He wanted to see everything else but he was satisfied with it all.
"What do you think of my new home? Care to break it in with me?"

Alexis pulled back slightly as Jon spoke. A slow smile spread across her face as her other hand reached up to join the other around his neck.
"You take it correctly." She whispered. "I only you are half as happy as I am right now."
Her eyes flicked forward as the carriage stopped. This was a lovely part of the neighborhood, she couldn't deny that. If he'd gotten an apartment here, he was certainly in luck-and she was impressed.
"This is lovely." She murmured as he lead her into the apartment. "I absolutely love the color. It's beautiful. You have wonderful tastes, but I already knew that."
Alexis turned to face him, giving him sultry smile.
"How were you planning on breaking it in? I have a few associates I could call, they're always up for a party. I can't promise what liquors they'll show up with, but it could make for a good time."

"How about we do that tomorrow night and tonight we have our own party?"
He moved in to kiss her as he pulled her to the couch. He felt it hit the back of his legs and he sat down pulling her on top of him. He massaged her hips as his lips made their way down her neck. One of his hands made it's way to her bare back, feeling the warmth radiating from her. His other hand moved down to her knee as he moved it up under her dress to squeeze her thigh.
"Did I mention you're welcome to come over any time you want?"

Alexis faked confusion for a moment, and then nodding knowingly.
"Ahhh, ok, I'm back with you now." She told him as she settled herself onto his lap.
Alexis closed he eyes as she rested her head against his while his lips traveled down her neck.
"Any time I want? Well, you're certainly playing up the old wive's tale that a vampire can't enter your house without being invited." She murmured, letting her hand slid down to cover the one resting on her thigh. "I like your offer. I need to get your key tomorrow."
Slowly, her hand moved his slightly higher. Her other hand guided his head back to hers so she could kiss him lightly.

"Good I'd hate for you to get confused."
He blindly grasped around for a remote he ordered. He pushed a few buttons and watched out of the corner of his eyes as the lights dimmed and the fireplace lit up. Soft music began to play from carefully hidden speakers. Satisfied he turned his attention back to Alexis. He let his hand travel further up her leg as he squeezed her upper thigh. He deepened the kiss, lightly tasting her lips with his tongue. His other hand scratched lightly across her bare back as the heat of their passion grew.
"Don't worry about an invitation, when I say any time I mean any time at all. You didn't have any other plans for tonight did you?"
He pulled her body closer to his, he ground himself against her as he felt an animalistic urge pulse through his body. With a barely audible growl he bit down lightly on her shoulder.
"I really love the time we spend together."

Alexis raised her head and glanced around as the lights in the room suddenly began to dim. She watched the fireplace light up, and she wasn't really surprised he had successfully hidden the speakers.
"Nice work." She murmured, kissing him back. "You plan a lovely evening, you know."
Her fingers traced lightly along his face and down to his neck. With both hands, she brought his lips back up to hers.
"Really now. You say anytime until you wake up with an insomniac vampire cleaning your apartment-." Alexis words broke off and she gasped as Jon's teeth bit down onto her shoulder. She pushed her body harder against his, leaning down to kiss him again.
"That makes two of us," she whispered, tracing her fingers up and down his chest. "Because I love you."

"And I love you my queen of the night."
Jon leaned forward and captured Alexis's lips in his own. It still came as a shock everytime he thought about falling in love with a vampire. Less than two weeks ago he'd been hunting others just like her and now he was embraced with her. Any other vampire in the world and he'd have been fighting for his life careful to avoid the fangs he knew were mere inches from his throat.
While the majority of his mind was wrapped around the woman he held in his arms, a small part was still thinking and it was finding some problems.
What about other hunters finding her?
What about other vampires she might know finding me with her?
Will I ever be able to hunt again, knowing I'm in love with a being who was once my prey?
He pushed those thoughts away for later as he felt Alexis's hand tracing across his chest. There was always time to worry about that stuff later.

Alexis let one hand leave Jon and reach to her hair. She pulled out the band holding it and let it fall over her shoulders.
Right now, she would have given anything to be human with him. However, as that was impossible, she was going to have to settle for following rules. And as loyal as she was to her own kind, she was going to have to accept the fact that some vampires were far too harsh on humans-and those were the ones which would need to be taken out. Maybe she'd start hunting herself......
But Alexis decided to worry about all of that later. Tonight had easily been one of the best evenings of her life, and she wasn't going to let anything spoil that.
Gently, she removed her lips from his and pressed them to his throat. Her fingers toyed with his shirt buttons, finally beginning to slip them open. She pulled skin from his throat into her mouth and bit gently. It was probably going to leave a mark, but it was something she could tease him about later.
"I think I feel like staying tonight." She whispered against his ear. "It's late to go home alone, anyway."
