Rosella was laying back on the ground, staring up at the night sky. Directly behind her head was a tombstone with the name
Sarah Brighton Aged 6 Years D 1846
In the position she lay, Rosella could hear the child's body trembling beneath the the ground. Souls clung to their bodies for year-decades-centuries and Rosella liked that. She really liked it when it was children who clung to their bodies. She liked having someone to play with. The only problem was she tended to scare them.
"The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout....." Rosella sang as she moved her fingers in the air above her head, walking the spider up his web. Slowly, she turned onto her side and looked down at the ground.
"Down came the rain and washed the spider out." She slapped the palm of one hand onto the ground.
"Out came the sun....and dried up all the rain...." She smoothed her hand over the dirt, patting it down.... "And the itsy bitsy spider went up the spout again."
Rosella turned onto her right side and pressed her ear to the ground. There it was. The trembling gasping whimper.
"You don't have to stay down there." She purred into the ground. "You could come out and play with me. We're both dead-it will be fun. I'm awful lonely up here. Why don't you come?"
The child's spirit stopped whimpering. Rosella pouted. Rolling onto her back, she stared up at the sky. If only someone else wanted to play.....
"The farmer in the dell.....the farmer in the dell....high ho the dairio the farmer in the dell...."

Samantha caught herself in a graveyard in the middle of the night. It was freaking her out but she desperately wanted the other girls to accept her and they had dared her. She knew she was old enough that dares shouldn't matter but these girls could help her career. They had all done major things in the model-world and had promised to get her into their next big shoot if she stayed in the graveyard all night long. Normally she wouldn't have believed it but these girls had definite pull over their bosses.
She was going to find a tree and climb in the branches to stay in overnight. She figured this was her best solution. She was terrified especially what she had seen in the past month or so. All she had was a flashlight and a sack full of snacks.
She made her way deep into the graveyard it seem there were no trees close to the gate the girls had dropped her off at. As she thought she had seen shadows she heard singing. A child singing. She began to follow the sound and saw a girl, a cute young girl who was laying on a grave and singing nursery songs.
"Hey what's your name. Are you ok? Are your parents around? It isn't safe for a young girl to be out so late." Samantha stated getting closer to the girl to make sure she wasn't hurt since she was on the ground.

Killian really hated dying…it was a pain in the ass among other things. Another thing he hated was waking up in a god damn coffin again something else he could live…or not live without. He always worried that one of these times he was going to run across someone who was a fan of cremation and he wasn’t really sure how the hole curse which kept him alive would work in regards to being burned into ashes.
But then again one usually found themselves in a coffin when they decided to die. He was rather un-impressed with himself this go around I mean seriously who ups and dies from being hit by a car…fucking anticlimactically in the least.
“Ah well better luck next time,” he muttered to himself as his hands braced against the lid of the coffin and he pushed against it forcefully causing the wood to creak slightly. Coffins had become a bit more solid over the years but with their fanciness and the like they had also become a bit easier to get out of. He shoved the lid once more and heard the familiar creak of the lid giving way slightly and he knew he was about out as long as he had beaten the grave diggers. If they had filled the hole then that would be a new bitch of epic standards.
With another hard shove against the lid of the coffin Killian was finally able to shove it up and was even more pleased to see that the dirt had not yet been piled upon the coffin.
“Gotta love procrastination it works in the favor of the best of us,” he muttered with a smile as he pulled himself fully from the coffin and set about the task of pulling himself up and out of the grave. Once out of the grave Killian dusted the dirt off of the suite pants and shirt and jacket as best he could.
“Another one to add to the collection,” he said with a smirk as he inspected the newest suite he had been buried in. He brushed a bit more dirt off of himself and managed to get a good deal of it off save for the smudges on his face and the dirt smears on the white shirt he was good to go.
The bleeding finger tips was just something which generally came from crawling your way out of your grave so it was no real bother at this point especially since this would be Killian’s 5th time at the whole dying routine. The distant sound of singing filled the normally silent cemetery and Killian strained his eyes in the distance to see where it was coming from.
It seemed as if this life was interesting from the get go. He made his way silently through the cemetery making his way around gravestones and the like as he went. A small girl came into view and proved to be the source of the song and Killian wondered if she wasn’t a spirit but her solidness was what threw that idea out the window for him but there was defiantly something off about the scene especially since young girls didn’t make it a habit of playing nursery games in the dead of night in cemeteries.
Then again 17 year olds didn’t make it a habit of returning back from the dead time and time and time again…but that had never stopped him.
He was about to step out of the shadows his curiosity getting the better of him as a rather stunning girl approached the child for him…you could add that to the list of things which weren’t normal.
Beautiful women didn’t usually make it a habit of creeping around graveyards at night either. Killian watched the pare for a few moments and deciding he ahd never been much of a watcher he stepped out of the shadows himself still dusting off dirt from his clothes.
“Seems as if we’ve found ourselves in a busy little cemetery this evening ladies,” Killian said with a small smirk as he looked from the woman back down to the little girl.
“The little canary here yours?” he asked looking at the girl again for a second longer still unable to tell what it was about her that was different.

Samantha jumped at the sound of another person joining them. She felt that this night was getting more trippy with every turn and the night had only just begun. She was now regretting the fact that she never really backed down from dares especially from people who she needed to like her.
She turned with wide eyes to see a man walking towards them. Her first instinct was to grab the girl singing. But truth be told the girl was freaking her out at the moment. Why was she all alone in a cemetery and why would she be lying on a grave singing? There had to be a good explanation like her parents are on night duty and this was the grave of a friend and this was their special thing. For now these answers would soothe Sam's mind.
Then the man could just be in some strange situation like she was. He didn't seem to pose a threat to them. She made sure to be in a spot where if she needed to she could easily maneuver herself between them. This made her feel better though she wasn't sure why. She was now abit more composed then she had been a second earlier.
"It certainly is a very busy cemetery. The canary is not mine. I was just inquiring about her parents." a few moments later. "Oh I forgot my name is Samantha or Sam whichever you prefer. What brings you to a cemetery at this hour?" Samantha asked hoping it wasn't something creepy as she just decided to trust a stranger in the middle of a cemetery.

Rosella's dark hair blew in the wind as she sat up. A girl was approaching her. In the darkness, her eyes flashed with excitment. It was clearly too dark for the girl to notice. But it appeared as though Rosella would get her wish tonight.
As she stood up, her head turned at footsteps. A boy was approaching. A boy. Rosella didn't like it when boys came to play in the cemetary. They usually brought bad toys like bats and paint that came in cans and made the tombstones all yucky.
But this boy was giving off strange vibes. They were vibes she couldn't quite place. And he was so dirty. For a moment, Rosella thought she was looking at a zombie who had just crawled from his grave. She'd never seen one of those before. But then he began to speak and that showed that he was just another boy.
Glancing between the two, she decided she would have to be careful if she wanted to play with both. Rosella took a step towards the girl.
"My parents are just over there, in the woods." She pointed to the other side of the cemetary gate. "They told me to wait right here and that's what I'm going to do because the woods are dangerous at night."
She looked curiously between the two as she reached up to wrap a lock of hair around her finger.
"Are you here to do bad things? People do bad things in cemetaries. I don't want to see bad things."
Her dark eyes glistened faintly with tears as she made her lower lip tremble in the frightened child expression she'd perfected. Her other hand reached up to rub her eyes and she quickly turned on small sniffles.

Samantha was surprised by the girl's question for her and the newcomer. She was put to ease at the thought of the girl's parents being nearby but what were they doing in the woods at this hour of the night and why had they told their daughter to stay put in a cemetery and more specifically a grave. Taking a closer look at the tombstone it was another child's grave. A chill ran up Samantha's spine.
"I'm glad to hear your parents are around. No I was teased into staying here overnight I was going to find a tree to climb into and rest. If I leave before the sun comes up I'll be in trouble with my friends. Do you mind if I wait here with you until your parents come back for you? I'd hate to see anything bad happen to such a pretty girl." Samantha said with the most pleasant smile she could muster for the girl.

Rosella fought back a desire to laugh as the girl spoke to her. This was going to be amazing if the girl had to stay all night. She would make sure not to rush any of her games too quickly.
"You're going to stay all night?" Rosella's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Wow, I've never done that before. I could ask my Mommy and Daddy if I could stay with you. They might be real busy with work, I bet they wouldn't mind."
She took another step closer to the girl, folding her hands neatly in front of her as she gave the girl a bright smile.
"I don't mind. I think you're really pretty. Do you want to play games with me?"

Samantha had the slight feeling that something was wrong if her parents didn't mind her hanging out with a stranger all night. The glee on the girls face as she had mentioned that she was going to be there all night sent another chill up her own spine. She looked at the new guy who seemed to be quiet while she and the girl interacted.
She couldn't let this girl stay here all by herself all night. It wasn't right for a little girl to be stuck in a cemetery while her parents were at work in the woods. She was glad to see the girl was fine as well except for maybe being lonely.
"Of course I don't mind. Thank you and sure why not I'll play games with you. What kind of games did you have in mind?" Sam couldn't deny this girl the chance to play. She looked at the guy to see if he'd join them as well. Then she turned back to the girl. "Hey Honey, what's your name? I'm Samantha." she extended her hand to shake the girl's hand.

Killian watched the scene in front of him with the same sort of amusement which came from watching a trainw reck. It was all so very out of place but he couldn't leave either he was just sort of tangeled in the web himself.
"The names Killian and I was just crawling out of my grave doing the whole zombie thing," Killian said with a wink and a smirk knowing his story all be it true would never be believed but damnit nobody could ever call him a liar.
Killian's eyes sanpped over to the direction of the forest that the little girl had explained her parents were in, things were still not adding up in the least bit but he was willing to roll with the punches.
"Bad things? ... Wasn't really on the schedule but you know the night is still young...or well is it? ... Not really sure," Killian rambeled as he focused getting the remaining dirt out of his blonde hair. He looked from the woman and back to the little girl knowing he had to stay as well if he didn't want to look like a complete asshole and he had only been alvie for 15 minutes it was far too early in the game to start making a bad impression.
"Why not I'm always up for a game or two," Killian said with a shrug and a smile as he plopped down on the ground next to the small girl but far enough away so that he wasn't sitting on top of the grave the child had made herself so comfortable on top of.

Rosella eyed the girl's outstretched hand thoughtfully for a moment. She could shake her hand, but she wasn't ready for that part of the game yet. Instead, she kept her hands pressed against her and turned on a shy gaze, lowering her eyes to the ground. "It's nice to meet you, Samantha. My name is Rosella." She smiled, releasing her hands to run one through her hair.
Now her eyes moved suspiciously over to the boy-Killian. She'd just been thinking of zombies....how odd for him to mention them so quickly. There was something not right about this boy. The girl, she was fine, but the boy....there was something strange about it.
She grinned as the boy seated himself on the ground.
"No, silly! We can't play here! It's much better to play back there!" She pointed towards the back section of the cemetary, near where her "parents" were. "Come on! Follow me!"
Rosella ran off towards the back of the cemetary.
"Remember: sticks and stones may break your bones, but small tombstones will break your face if you fall over them-so watch out!"
She laughed as she raced back and threw herself effortlessly onto a large, table shaped tombstone labeled "William Brittner." Beneath it, she felt Billy Brittner's body freeze in it's grave and she laughed again.

"Nice to meet you Samantha," Killian said immitating the little girls greeting with a smirk as he looked back over to the woman who was only a few paces away from him now. Killian's attention was once more grabbed by the little girl as she explained that they couldn't play the game of hers where they were at but needed to venture through the graveyard and back towards the woods.
"Don't you think your parents may get slightly a..." but the little girl was running away from them before he could even finish his sentence. Killian pulled himself up from the ground not bothering to dust the dirt off his pants it was only mixed with the dirt he had acquired himself so it made no real difference.
His eyes scruntched in confusion as he heard the little girls warnign to them both and he glanced at Samantha for a moment.
"That is a friggin normal saying like I'm a saint," he muttered his eyes shifting back towards the darkness not wanting to lose sight of the young girl.
"After you?" he asked Samantha motioning towards the direction the child had gone off in. This was by far the weirdest start to a new life he had ever experienced.

Samantha retracted her hand as Rosella had not taken it. She watched as Rosella seemed most excited by the fact that she was going to be there all night long. As of right now it seemed like it was going to be an extremely long one. She had been expecting on sleeping and now she was in the company of a 'funny man' named Killian and a somewhat creepy little girl. She sighed and watched Rosella run away from them to where she was determined to play.
"You can say that again." she said to Killian in response to his muttered words. Something was off but she didn't know which of the pair she could trust or which of them was the source of the off-ness.
She nodded politely to Killian as she began to follow the path Rosella had taken. This cemetery was creepy there was no doubt about it. The girls had told her awful stories of how it was haunted and sometimes you could hear bumps under the ground. She knew they weren't true but at this moment she was beginning to psych herself out. She liked having a view of the street and now she could barely see the lights from the road even.
Taking deep and even breathes as she walked to Rosella she calmed at the sight of the little girl. But was slightly taken aback when she realized Rosella was laying on a tombstone. She was sure there was something odd about the girl but her conscious couldn't let her be all alone. It just wasn't right for a girl to be in a cemetery by herself even if she was comfortable there. Hell it isn't right for a girl to be all alone at any time period for all Sam knew and believed.
"Alright what game did you have in mind? I have to also point out that you said your parents told you to stay in a specific spot back there." Samantha stated a little nervously. Cemeteries were definitely not her place of choice.

Rosella sat up, swinging her feet over the side of the stone as Samantha joined her. The girl seemed like the whole cemetary experience was rattling her, and Rosella didn't want that. If the girl got scared too quickly, it would end the game.
"They did." She nodded seriously at the girl's question regarding her parents and her specific location. "But that was before you and Killian came, so I'm sure they won't be upset as long as I'm not running around alone. Now that someone is here if I get hurt, I'm sure it's ok."
She gave Samantha a sweet smile and jumped down from the tombstone. Rosella was too keen on playing with them, she would need to tone it down if only for the second. Instead, she reached out to catch a passing firefly, cupping it into her hands so that she could watch it glow for a few seconds. Normally, she would have crushed it, but with Samantha so near, she raised her hands and released it above her head.
"I don't know, I know lots of games. Do you have a favorite? Maybe we could play Truth or Dare. I guess it's too dark to play hide and seek, or tag."
She plastered a very convincing pout onto her face, pretending extensive disappointment at not being able to play either of those games.

“I could say that again but it would be repetitive and a waste of breath wouldn’t you say?” Killian said with a smirk as he looked back at Samantha he was still trying to figure out what the hell a girl like her was doing in a friggin cemetery in the stark middle of the evening.
Killian rolled his eyes as Samantha took off without hesitation in the same direction little Miss Children of the Corn had taken off in.
“Of course going deeper into the cemetery with the creepy kid is always recommended,” he muttered after he followed after the woman and came up beside her as his eyes fell upon the young girl who now making herself comfortable on top of another grave stone. Jesus and people thought he had no respect for the dead.
“Hey doll face how about we stop jumping up and down on these nice dead people yeah?” Killian said in a mildly scolding manner as he made his way over to her he would have picked her up and placed her down but he didn’t want to be accused of God only knew what so he extended his hand out to her with a half hearted smile.
“I bet Sam over there agrees. So you get down off of there and then we can play a game deal?” Killian asked not taking his eyes off the girl.
“We’ll even play whatever game you want…until your mom and dad come back,” Killian added mentally kicking himself. Why in God’s name had he decided to be the freaken nice guy with his new life? It must have been carry over from being killed by a dumb ass car.

Samantha felt her restlessness lower at the sight of the girl getting off the tombstone. She agreed with Killian that Rosella should get off of the grave. It just wasn't right in her mind that anyone would be that comfortable on a grave. She watched as the girl all but ignored Killian's hand and walked over to her.
She didn't have any good ideas. Since she was expecting on sleeping she hadn't thought to bring something to bide the time. Normally she would have played Hide and Seek or Tag but since this place and the company was giving her the creeps that was out of the question. She wished she had a deck of cards, uno or something like that to offer though it was still quite dark out. She looked to Killian for a suggestion but he seemed to not like the idea of being around this kid.
"I don't know, sweetie, whatever you want to play if it isn't dangerous we shall see." Samantha said to the adorable girl before her.
