Catherine let herself into the house and stopped in the entrance way. Staring around her, she sighed heavily. Catherine had not been expecting to be allowed to come home tonight-therefore making her even happier to see her home. She wanted Stan, and a bath, and then to go to bed and fall asleep in his arms. But first she needed to get Templeton settled...not to mention tell Stan that Templeton was in the house.
Looking at herself in the hall mirror, Catherine frowned at her appearance. She was dirty, and most of her left side was covered in dried blood. Her hair was a mess, most likely from Dimitrie using it as a handle to move her as he saw fit. Catherine shook her head. She didn't imagine that Stan was going to be happy to hear about Dimitrie's return, but she was hoping he wouldn't mind Templeton.
She hadn't told Stan about her meeting with Templeton. She had intentionally left it out because she had no idea if she was ever going to see him again. But he was here now, and Catherine was going to have to explain the strange. Hopefully "he's the one who pulled a knife out of my hand" would be a satisfactory introduction before including that he was her brother.
"Come on in." Catherine set her purse on the hall table and turned towards Templeton. "Make yourself comfortable."
Turning from the table, Catherine stepped to the foot of the staircase.
"Stan? Are you home darling?"

Stan closed his eyes and rubbed at his temples, not really wanting to look at the blank document on the screen in front of him. There were spreadsheets to be made so that accounting could be done - by someone else - so that money could be made etc etc etc... and that was just with his businesses. He hadn't even looked at Catherine's bar, though he assumed she had it all under control. She usually did.
It didn't help that he had this nagging feeling something bad had happened to catherine while she'd been out. He couldn't put his finger on what, or even if he was right, it was just a feeling. But it was an annoying feeling that was making him unable to work. Sighing, Stan closed the laptop, deciding to finish his work later and go find something to eat now.
"Stan? Are you home darling?"
He was half way to the stair case when he heard Catherine's voice, and the moment he saw her face on the foot of the stairs he relaxed into a smile.
"Cat," he said warmly as he started walking down the stairs. "I - " he paused and stopped moving, staring at her for a long moment before finally asking, "what happened?"

Templeton had been sicere in the fact that he hadn't wanted to accompany Catherine to her home; but he had been very much over ruled it would seem. It wasn;t anything against Catherine of course; if it had been he wouldn;t have un pinned her from the tree. It was simply what she stood for in his life that Templeton was not entirely sure what to make of it yet. Everything she had told him would seemingly add up had he not believed something entirely different all of his life...and then some.
"Come on in. Make yourself comfortable."
"I really can't be staying too terribly long..." Templeton attempted to proetest once mroe as Catherine made her way to the stairs to call for her comanion.
Templeton allowed his eyes to scan over the hall of the home adn it was extremley nice. He figured one of these times he would have t allow himself to have a place he stayed at for any amount of time; a place to settle and call home; thus far that had been no concern of his.
"Cat,"
Templeton's attention snapped to the man upon the stairs as he made his way towards Catherine and by default Templeton.
"I - what happened?"
"Your companion was stabbed to a tree," Templeton offered up the most direct answer to the mans question; even though it had not been aimed at him he figured it was best that they get all of the unpleasent business out in the open.
"Not by myself," Templeton added averting his eyes to his shoes as he began to grow rather uncomfortable.

Catherine waited patiently for a moment to determine if Stan actually was in the house. She was about to go the rest of the way up the stairs until she saw and heard him.
"Cat,"
Relief flooded through her at the sight of her partner. She hadn't planned on coming home tonight at all, and therefore hadn't planned on seeing Stan again. Now, she fought the urge to run up the stairs to him and embrace him.
"I - what happened?"
Catherine opened her mouth, uncertain how to break the news to him of what had happened.
"Your companion was stabbed to a tree,"
Well, that was one way to do it. Catherine shot a glance back at Templeton and nodded.
"Not by myself,"
"No, it wasn't him. I would still be stuck there if he hadn't come along." Catherine slumped against the banister, suddenly exhausted. She needed food, but she knew she had too much to sort out before she could go find a staff member who was open to a snack tonight.
"It was Dimitrie."
She looked at Stan, waiting for his reaction to both her words and the stranger suddenly in their house.

Stan waited for Catherine to explain why it was she looked like she'd been dragged through hell and back. In the most beautiful way possible of course... but still... something bad had clearly happened.
"Your companion was stabbed to a tree,"
Stan's eyes snapped to the other vampire that he hadn't even noticed standing in his hallway.
"Not by myself,"
"I should hope not," he muttered under his breath. He would think that any being that had the audacity to hurt Catherine would have the sense to stay well away from his home.
"No, it wasn't him. I would still be stuck there if he hadn't come along."
Stan returned his gaze to Catherine for a moment before turning his eye back to the stranger, about to thank him for helping when he was taking quite by surprise.
"It was Dimitrie."
It took a moment for Stan to be able to say anything, but eventually he finished descending the stairs and wrapped an arm around Catherine so she could support herself against him, rather than the banister.
Taking a deep breath, he managed a grateful smile as he turned his attention to the new vampire. "Thank you, sir, for helping my Cat. I am in your debt." He gestured to the room behind them. "How about we move into the living room, we'll have something to eat - I'm sure you're both very hungry - and we'll continue with introductions and details of what happened tonight."
