Once Fengyu was sure that she had enough time, she unslung her pack, reached inside and pulled out a sawed off shotgun and a small leather bound notebook. It was loaded with salt rounds, which sound inflict more damage on the demon than ordinary bullets. Taking careful aim, the hunter fired a round off at the demon's back before he could reach the other human.
Closing the distance between herself and the two men, Fengyu tossed the book to the male hunter. "Earmarked page." She instructed, "Read, quickly."

Daniel's eyes grew wide as the demon pulled a large silver machete from it's shirt. Getting off one more shot to it's face he dove out of the way just as the other hunter shot the demon in the back. Landing in a roll, he stood up in time to catch the book he'd just been thrown.
"Earmarked page. Read, quickly."
Daniel could only stare blankly at the woman, of course she didn't know he couldn't speak. It wasn't as if he wore a sign around his neck but maybe he should start. He tossed her the book back and covered his mouth with his hand hoping to indicate he couldn't speak. Instead he turned and finished off the magazine before reloading continuing to fire at the demon.
It might only piss it off more but as long as he could avoid it long enough for her to exorcise it, he'd be ok. He just hoped she could act quickly enough to save both their necks.

Jeff's entire body was burning from the salt bullets. He only just noticed the latin book fly back over to the girl, even through the pain and the new bullets from the man that he endured he was still able to catch the book and impale it with his machete. They would never be able to read the exorcism now.
"I hope you got a spare one." He laughed in pain.
He couldn't be bothered to move, not yet anyway. He knew these hunters couldn't hurt him now. If they could hurt him in anyway without an exorcism they would have done that already.

When the demon destroyed her note book, Fengyu felt her stomach plummet. Their best chance of getting rid of this thing, not to mention nearly a book full of other research, had just been destroyed. If they couldn't figure out another plan quickly, they would have to run, leaving the demon free to seek civilian victims.
"One more idea. Purify inside." She said quietly to the mute hunter as she maneuvered to stand beside him. The cover flap of the pack was still open, giving him a good look at the bag of loose salt that Fengyu still had inside. If the demon's were repelled by salt, then she wondered what would happen if its container ingested a large amount of the mineral?

Daniel watched in despair as the demon speared the book, destroying their only effective means of getting rid of it. Then he watched as it stood still almost relaxing thinking they couldn't touch it anymore.
"One more idea. Purify inside."
Daniel nodded once at the huntress. He reloaded his pistol and pulled his silver blade out into his free hand. Making a wiggling motion with his fingers and slamming his fist into his other hand. Obviously for the plan to work the demon needed to be held down. She had the salt which meant he got the privilege of charging and restraining the creature.
Giving her a thumbs up he ran in a half circle hoping to divide it's attention. When he got on the opposite side away from the other hunter he charged straight at the demon. Catching it around the middle he took it down. Now came the hard part, he thought to himself.

Jeff didn't like the purify inside plan. He knew if they were able to do so, he would be forced to leave his body again. When the man attacked him and took him down Jeff hit him a couple of times which seemed to have little effect. He reached for his machete and once he got the grip he placed it in front of the man's neck.

As with everything else since Fengyu had finished up the earlier hunt, the purification idea had not gone according to plan. It was beginning to frustrate her too, why couldn't it just be a good demon and got he hell away? Or just go to hell. The latter was preferable, but either would be fine at this point.
Throwing the salt close to where the mute was standing, Fengyu sprang into action. Utilizing her well honed martial arts skills, the hunter spun behind the demon and grabbed him in by the neck while using her other arm to pull his knife hand out and back. One of her legs twisted around one of his, throwing them both off balance. From there she repositioned her hold on his neck to be stronger. Hopefully the male hunter would be able to get the salt in the demon's mouth before he could break her grasp.
