Alexis made her way back to her own hotel in a haze she had never felt before. She was so incredibly torn. It also amazed her that she had always been so quick to end human life and it hadn't taken more than another thought. But in this case, seeing a human being emotionally hurt had cut through her.
But her own anger and hurt was pulsing through her veins. Anger Alexis was used to feeling, hurt, not so much. In fact, she wasn't sure the last time she'd felt emotional pain. The closest she thought she might have come was when she learned of her mother's fate back in Hungary. But that she could accept the fact that there was absolutely nothing she could do.
In this case, she had too many situations she didn't know how to handle. She didn't know what to do with Ryden, or Jon, or anything. If she wasn't still cursed and she wasn't here for a reason, she would have left town right now.
But she couldn't leave Killian, and she certainly couldn't leave him still cursed. They might need her when they actually went to see the witch who'd cursed them. She had to pretend she was at least mildly herself.
Entering the hotel lobby, Alexis looked around to see if Killian was still there. He was, and the rug looked in acceptable condition, so she suspected that all was relatively well on his part. Crossing the room to him, she dropped into the nearest chair.
"Well, you aren't going to believe the night I had."

Killian was bored...insanely bored....like watching paint dry sort of bored...and it was his own fault...sort of. He hated being in Salem therefor he had no desire to go anywhere outside of the hotel unless it was in direct correlation with getting their curse of. This of of course meant that he was stuck in the hotel room and there was only so many hours he could sleep.
So he had taken up shop in the hotel lobby...pacing from one end to the other as he texted, called and probably generally annoyed Alexis who was off doing her own thing that evening. But Killian had been rather surprised when Ryden had come back alone but he really didn't want to bug the other vampire....so he had kept to the lobby no doubt driving the hotel manager up the wall.
Killian had tried and failed to find ways to contact Flick; apparently it wasn't easy finding a rich blind girl from New York City...she would probably not talk to him once they got back to the city and he had by being a dumb blonde ruined the first good thing he had had in a really long time. But even if she more then likely hated him he had found her a water globe in the gift shop with a black cat inside wearing a witch's hat....he was apposed to it on principal but figured she might like it so he had bought it for her.
That was where he currently found himself...slouched in one of the lobby arm chairs shaking the water globe this way and that as he watched the glitter inside swirl about the cat.
"Well, you aren't going to believe the night I had."
Killian's eyes immediately snapped up and rested on Alexis as she joined him in the lobby. He was rather certain he had never been happier to see her...lies that time she had come back after ditching town he had been happier but the devil was in the details.
"You're back waaaaaaay past curfew Missy," Killian teased with a smile. Though he frowned slightly as there seemed to be something off with her...she just didn't seem entirely there.

"You're back waaaaaaay past curfew Missy,
"Did I give you the impression I was in the mood?" Alexis looked over at Killian. She was being harsh, and it wasn't his fault. In fact, he was the only person she wanted to talk to right now.
Of course, she was in the same building as Ryden. The part of her which had wanted to stay wrapped in his arms was still there, and it wanted to say screw the whole evening, go find Ryden, climb into his arms and focus on nothing but what she'd been thinking of earlier.
But of course, that couldn't be done. There was another country playing in this game now, and Alexis had no idea what to do.
"I'm sorry. I'm just-I'm so stressed. Seriously, tonight.... Ugh. I was so happy earlier, I was so peaceful earlier....and now I just don't know what to do."
Alexis looked at the snow globe in Killian's hand. She didn't know he liked snow globes. It seemed a little odd of a collection for a boy, but whatever. Everyone liked different things.
"Jon Brunner-my boyfriend-ex boyfriend-whatever he is, was, whatever-. He's in town, I ran into him. I just came from talking to him."

Kilian smiled slightly over at Allexis though he was still rather worried about her; again he wasn't the best with reading women but all was not well with her...not by a long shot!
"Did I give you the impression I was in the mood?"
"Sorry..." Killian muttered as he sat up slightly straighter in the chair; allowing for the snow globe to sit upon his knee. Obviously he hadn't been wrong about his feeling that something was off with Alexis...apprently she was none to happy!
"I'm sorry. I'm just-I'm so stressed. Seriously, tonight.... Ugh. I was so happy earlier, I was so peaceful earlier....and now I just don't know what to do."
Killian began to fidget with the snow globe again as Alexis attempted to explain her state of mind...which didn't really help to explain why she was upset. Earlier in the day she had seemed fine...or well as fine as someone can seem via text and then now it seemed that all was definetly not well...apprently soemthing had happened between the time Ryden returned to the hotel without her and now...being that they were still cursed it was probably by now means anything good!
"Jon Brunner-my boyfriend-ex boyfriend-whatever he is, was, whatever-. He's in town, I ran into him. I just came from talking to him."
"Jon Brunner?"
Killian knew the name......why did he know the name?....And then it clicked. He knew the name cause he had basically died because of him once...and then there was of course the whole situation with him having a gun to the back of his head because of him. Killian hadn't been aware that Lex was still feeling for him...hell hand to God Killian thought the man had been dead since he had just dropped off the face of the earth.
"Jon Brunner...old dude, short temper, bad hair...had a gun pressed to my head...I remember him. Why is he in Salem?...Or rather why were you talking to him...in Salem?"
That would actually explain a lot to Alexis' mood; she had been getting close with Ryden who seemed thus far to be an ok guy and then you throw in the ex boyfriend into the mix and things became very soap opera...ish.
"I thought he had died," Killian explained with a shrug as he leaned back in the chair looking slightly confused at Alexis...again he didn't always do too well with the girl things.
"Did everything go ok?...I'm guessing you guys didn't talk about awesome vacation spots..."

Alexis started blankly at the carpeting in front of her. She wanted to feel the way she had a few hours ago-or a few months ago, whichever worked out best. But neither of those was possible right now.
"Jon Brunner...old dude, short temper, bad hair...had a gun pressed to my head...I remember him. Why is he in Salem?...Or rather why were you talking to him...in Salem?"
Alexis frowned at Killian. His description was a little off in certain aspects.
"He's younger than both of us, FYI. But yeah, that's him. And he's in Salem because he supposedly just found out what happened to me and he wanted to come help. I ran into him when I went for a walk. I-ugh."
Alexis played the meeting through her head. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to fix things on all levels and try to solve problems, but she didn't know what to fix or what to solve.
"I thought he had died,"
"I didn't think that, I thought he left me. But now he tells me that he went off to find werewolves he thought killed his family-which doesn't make me feel a whole lot better but-."
Alexis groaned, letting her head fall to the back of the chair. She wanted to scream-or kill someone. And technically, she could kill someone.
"Did everything go ok?...I'm guessing you guys didn't talk about awesome vacation spots..."
"No, I don't know, I-. Argh. We talked, and, I don't know. I feel worse personally. He left me and his reasons were-. And he wasn't here when I needed him, that's what kills me the most! Argh, I never want to see another man as long as I live."
Alexis let her hand slam down onto the chair's arm. She thought she hated men. No, she was sure of it. Men could all go to hell for her opinion.
Glancing over, she noticed the snow globe on Killian's knee. Reaching over, she moved it onto the small end table between their chairs where it would be more stable.
"I was worried that thing would smash. Remember, we're still cursed."

"He's younger than both of us, FYI. But yeah, that's him. And he's in Salem because he supposedly just found out what happened to me and he wanted to come help. I ran into him when I went for a walk. I-ugh."
"Small print; he acts older then the both of us," Killian explained with a small smile. The smile faded slightly though as he attempted to make sense of the matter. Jon had been the one who arrived shortly after Mary had left. He had known that at least Mary had attacked Alexis and had it out for them for some reason; true at the time they had yet to realize the cursing aspect of it but all the others pieces had been there...and just the same the guy had vanished.
"I didn't think that, I thought he left me. But now he tells me that he went off to find werewolves he thought killed his family-which doesn't make me feel a whole lot better but-."
The more the conversdation or well the more Alexis' explanation continued the more Killian didn't like it.
"No, I don't know, I-. Argh. We talked, and, I don't know. I feel worse personally. He left me and his reasons were-. And he wasn't here when I needed him, that's what kills me the most! Argh, I never want to see another man as long as I live."
Killian allowed Alexis to say what she needed and then when he figured she was done he would add his thoughts on the matter. He wasn't entirely sure if that was what she wanted or if he was needed to simply shut up and listening but he figured he would try his way first and if she wanted him to shut up there was no doubt she would tell him so.
"First off the whole never seeing another man again may be hard if you are planning on keeping me around," Killian explained as Alexis moved the snow globe from his knee to the table.
"I was worried that thing would smash. Remember, we're still cursed."
"It's nothin special," Killian muttered glaring at the snow globe for a moment. He didn't even know if Flick would like it....especially since it wasn't as if she could see it.
"But back to the story at hand Lex; Jon left...apprently to go do his hunter thing. I'm not dating him...not my type...but that seems rather...," Killian explained trying to lighten her mood.
"... seems rather...I don't know," Killian ran his finegrs through his hair. He could clearly see where Alexis was hurt and she had every right to be.
"I'm gonna give you my opinion and you can take it or tell me to shut up. Jon is a hunter has been for however long he has been doing it and that is what is always goig to come first for him. Not you not family not life but the hunt. It's who he is...and he sort of proved that to you. You're about the nearest thing I have to family Lex...and I don't want you to be hurt. I'm not leaving you and I can't speak for him but I don't think Ryden is going anywhere...but sometimes it's best not to dig up old skeletons," Killian explained with a shrug.
"My mom used to say that when I cot caught up in things that couldn't be changed...you're important people Lex...I would keep those people near to you and lose anything that hurts you...I would say life is too short...but then that would be a bold face lie," Killian explained meeting her eyes with a smile.
He cared for her a lot and it hurt him to see her hurt...and it more then made him angry in the same heart beat.

"Small print; he acts older then the both of us,"
Alexis smirked. She enjoyed her age, but it was hard to remember that both she and Killian were older than others. Especially Killian, since he was after all human.
"First off the whole never seeing another man again may be hard if you are planning on keeping me around,"
"Details, details." Alexis sighed, watching the glitter settle in the snow globe.
"It's nothin special,"
"Anything worth spending money on is special, because why would you spend money on something that isn't?"
Alexis let her eyes drop shut, sighing heavily. She wanted everything to go away. Why couldn't they just send Ryden to solve the problem and she could go back to New York....where Jon had an apartment near her house. Ugh.
I'm not leaving you and I can't speak for him but I don't think Ryden is going anywhere...but sometimes it's best not to dig up old skeletons,"
Alexis felt a faint hint of tears her eyes, and she was glad they were closed so that they wouldn't be exposed. She had never been betrayed by someone before-and let them live. She had been of the get even school, and she always had. Until now, and things were so different now.
"My mom used to say that when I cot caught up in things that couldn't be changed...you're important people Lex...I would keep those people near to you and lose anything that hurts you...I would say life is too short...but then that would be a bold face lie,"
Alexis made sure her tears were under control, and then turned to Killian.
"He said he loved me, and I'm not stupid Killian, I know men have been telling that lie for centuries now. But Ryden said the same thing, so how I am I supposed to trust him? Why should I believe he means it-but Jon didn't, or did, and he still did what he wanted anyway?"
Alexis picked up the snow globe and twirled it for a moment before putting it back down. She didn't really like cats, but it was cute enough.
"I understand that he's a hunter," Alexis sighed, staring towards the lobby doorway, "I understand that's who he was. But....he made choices, and decisions, and they changed who I was and then they just disappeared."
Alexis twirled a lock of her hair. She thought if she was human, her gray streak would be getting worse.
"I'm not good with human emotions. They're new to me. So one instance with them, and they ruined everything."

"Anything worth spending money on is special, because why would you spend money on something that isn't?"
Killian was going to explain that it was his best attempt at trying to make things right with Flick but even he knew that a snow globe with a cat in it was not going to do the trick. With Alexis' current look at men Killian decided to keep silent...no use being another example she could use as to why men of all ages sucked.
Killian frowned slightly as he watched Alexis. She was hurting and she was hurting bad and this was something he couldn't fix with a bit of pressure and some well placed military stitches. Killian glared at the window an anger he hadn't felt in a very long time coursing through him. This wasn't ok; it wasn't ok for Jon Brunner to storm back into her life after leaving in the first place. Killian didn't care if the man had gone to investigate the second coming of Christ.
But now wasn't the time to be angry...at least not in front of Alexis.
"He said he loved me, and I'm not stupid Killian, I know men have been telling that lie for centuries now. But Ryden said the same thing, so how I am I supposed to trust him? Why should I believe he means it-but Jon didn't, or did, and he still did what he wanted anyway?"
"I wouldn't know about this love thing you speak of Lex," Killian explained with a dark look he quickly pushed away from his face as he turned his eyes back to Alexis.
There had only been one person in his life that he had ever loved and she had been the one person in the world he hadn't been allowed to love. Not truly; not without a great deal of trouble being heaped down upon them...oh wait it had been.
"But I guess there is no real way to tell if Ryden is different from Jon...except of course that so far it seems like he has done more for you then Jon ever has. I know I haven't been in your life for any great period of time Alexis but even I pick up on thing. It seems to me that if I was going to bet on one of the two I would bet on the one who dropped everything to help you...instead of the one who dropped out of your life to help himself."
Killian knew his anger was getting through a bit but it didn't make his points any less valid. The facts were the facts and even he could see them...and this was a guy who had left a note for a blind girl.
"...But....he made choices, and decisions, and they changed who I was and then they just disappeared."
"You changed who you were," Killian explained as he reached out and touched her hand gently. He wasn't really into the whole touchy feely sort of thing but it seemed like the right thing to do.
"He may have helped it along but in the end it was your choice to change for the better...besides I wouldn't be able to hang around you nearly as much if you were still trying to make a habit of killing me," Killian pointed out with a smile as he sat back in the chair.
"I'm not good with human emotions. They're new to me. So one instance with them, and they ruined everything."
"Humans don't do well with human emotions Lex...they hurt...they get in the way...and they are extremely inconvenient," Killian explained staring down at the snow globe.

"I wouldn't know about this love thing you speak of Lex,"
Alexis turned her head curiously. There was something about Killian all of a sudden. She thought she saw a look flash across the boy's face, one that she couldn't read. She had to wonder what was going through his head. But somehow, she believed him. Whatever had happened to him to curse him, she imagined it probably cut a lot of options out of his life.
He was right, on a lot of aspects. Ryden had done a lot for her-more than anyone ever had for that matter, including Jaron. Ryden had left his own life to fix things, and Jon had come running from whatever had originally taken him from her only after the fact. Even before their connection had built, Ryden had refused any offers she'd made him. Killian was right, Ryden's actions had shown a great deal more, but somehow Alexis couldn't let herself relax.
"You're right, I know that. But.... I just don't think I can trust him. I was heartbroken when Jon left...and if I had to go through that again with Ryden, Killian, I just don't know what I'd do."
She really didn't know what she'd do, but she imagined it would involve attempting to keep herself together to stay with Killian. He needed her, even though she wasn't really sure he'd admit it. And if she freaked out, it would destroy the home she enjoyed establishing for him.
"You changed who you were,"
Alexis looked again at Killian as his hand touched hers. It made her feel better. Whatever happened, she had to keep who she was for Killian. She didn't get it, but she desperately wanted to keep herself together for him.
"He may have helped it along but in the end it was your choice to change for the better...besides I wouldn't be able to hang around you nearly as much if you were still trying to make a habit of killing me,"
Alexis chuckled faintly. She'd killed him once, when she'd been another vampire, but it would never in a million years happen again.
"Well, if you had more lives, I might be a little more open with the possibility, but I used up one, no, I'll take the blame for at least 3 of your lives being gone." Alexis gave him a faint smile before turning her eyes back to the snow globe. It was kind of cute. She'd noticed that Salem had bunches of cute cats wearing hats on tons of their merchandise. She wondered why Killian picked the snow globe for his memento of this trip.
"Humans don't do well with human emotions Lex...they hurt...they get in the way...and they are extremely inconvenient,"
"Then maybe we all should have listened to the vampires who said human emotions should die with your human life." Alexis had met tons of vampires over the years who had lost their humanity. Even Jaron didn't have many human emotions, not that she was ever sure he'd had them before.
"Tell me about the snow globe." Alexis said, pointing to the object. "Killian, I'm sorry, but I don't think you just randomly scooped up a snow globe."

"You're right, I know that. But.... I just don't think I can trust him. I was heartbroken when Jon left...and if I had to go through that again with Ryden, Killian, I just don't know what I'd do."
“You would run away with me to Fiji,” Killian explained with a smile as he looked back over at Alexis. Things had been bad pretty much from the time they had been in each other’s lives and that was even looking over the fact that their first meeting had ended up with him getting torn to pieces. Life hadn’t been easy but just the same he didn’t like to see her upset especially after Ryden had at least done the best he could to see that she was happy and content…as well as one could be on a trip which involved getting a curse lifted.
"Well, if you had more lives, I might be a little more open with the possibility, but I used up one, no, I'll take the blame for at least 3 of your lives being gone."
“Nah your tab stops at one…Gardener owes me the other two,” Killian muttered only slightly bitter. He really hated that man and would be none too happy to never cross paths with him for as long as he lived…which could if he was lucky be a rather long time.
"Tell me about the snow globe. Killian, I'm sorry, but I don't think you just randomly scooped up a snow globe."
Killian looked down at the snow globe and then back up at Alexis with a small frown.
“What I don’t look like the snow globe kind of guy?” Killian asked trying to mildly push the subject under the rug.
He looked down at the globe uncomfortably and then looked back up at Alexis. She knew him far too well it seemed though he was slightly worried of what she would think about him. He hadn’t meant to hurt Flick but then again he was certain that was probably a line men had also been using for centuries.
“I bought it for a girl…to make up for something I did that probably hurt her a lot…something I did without thinking that will no doubt get me lumped into the category of another jerk,” Killian explained picking up the snow globe and shifting it between his hands.
“The night before we came here I went over to her place…that was where I was when you thought I was dead in a ditch somewhere,” Killian explained.
“So I woke up in a panic and I left her a note on the counter to explain that I had to go…and then I left,” Killian continued on thinking that if the story ended there it would have been all well and good but of course his luck the way it was it didn’t.
“Slight problem though…she’s blind.”

“You would run away with me to Fiji,”
"Well, now that's not a bad idea." Alexis concurred, considering the option. She didn't want to tell Killian right now that in the back of her mind, she was considering running away. Well, not really running so much as moving. She owed Silverton a visit, and she thought Jaron might have headed for Chicago too, so why not? But Killian didn't need to hear that right now.
“Nah your tab stops at one…Gardener owes me the other two,”
"Thank you for that. I was holding myself responsible for introducing you to Gardener in the first place, since it was my bright idea to call him up and get Ryden's info."
Alexis figured that with the way her track record ran, she wouldn't encounter Gardener again for at least another thirty years. At least that's what she was counting on.
“What I don’t look like the snow globe kind of guy?”
"Nope." Alexis informed him fairly matter of factly. "I think if you were, your 300 year collection would have made it's way into my house."
“I bought it for a girl…to make up for something I did that probably hurt her a lot…something I did without thinking that will no doubt get me lumped into the category of another jerk,”
Oh seriously? More people hurt in relationships? Alexis couldn't help but roll her eyes. This seemed to be a trend anymore. But at least she was right on one thing-Killian DID have a girlfriend!
“The night before we came here I went over to her place…that was where I was when you thought I was dead in a ditch somewhere,”“So I woke up in a panic and I left her a note on the counter to explain that I had to go…and then I left,”
Alexis listened thoughtfully. Well, that didn't sound so bad. He'd left a note. That was more than certain people had ever bothered to do. Alexis thought of the morning that Jon had left before she was awake because he didn't want to wake her, now she was suspicious that was probably him running off for a hunt too.
“Slight problem though…she’s blind.”
"Oh for fck's sake, Killian!" Alexis groaned, putting her face in her hand. "You left a note for a blind girl? Did you try calling her since we got here?"
It was an honest mistake, she could image. Waking up in a strange place first thing the morning and still being half asleep, it was an error anyone could make.
"When you talk to her next, tell her it was because she was so accustomed, you forgot she was blind. Make it sound like a compliment. And forget the snow globe. Go buy her a teddy bear or a stuffed cat or something like that. At least with a stuffed animal, you can feel fur, clothing, etc."
Alexis couldn't believe she had just switched to giving relationship advice after her epic failure of a night. But hey, she was a girl, and she knew how she'd want her own feelings unhurt.

Killian sat back in the chair waiting for Alexis' reaction...he had already played out several reactions in his mind so this would be interesting to see which reaction won out.
"Oh for fck's sake, Killian!"
And there was the winner.
"You left a note for a blind girl? Did you try calling her since we got here?"
"I know I know I just...I wasn't thinking," Killian attempted to explain as he ran a hand through his hair. Apprently all this was doing was to confirm the fact that he was totally and utterly screwed....and then came the comment about the phone call.
"I don't have her number..." Killian explained with a small shrug as he picked at the bottom of his sneakers.
He didn't have her number, he had no way to contact her...and he had left her anote that she couldn't read...yeah she was never going to speak with him again. That was all the current conversation with Alexis was proving to him...he was screwed.
Killian stared down at the snow globe and then picked it back off of the table shaking it slightly and watching as the glitter spun furiously around the cat. Alexis had a point; Flick would have no way to see what the hell was inside of the globe all she would be able to tell was that he had given her a heavy ball of God only knew what.
"Good idea..." Killian agreed as far as Alexis' stuffed animal idea went...even though he wasn't sold on the idea that a stuffed thing would be enough to earn forgiveness.
"Snow globe?" Killian offered as he held out the snow globe to Alexis.

"I know I know I just...I wasn't thinking,"
"It's not the end of the world. I can't imagine it's totally unfixable."
Well, yes she could. Hadn't she just had something similiar pass? But Jon hadn't left a note. That was the whole issue.
"I don't have her number..."
Well, that did pose a rather large problem. Alexis considered the options there. But Killian had known where she lived, so if he had an address.....
"Do you have her address? You could try searching it through one of those map sites online and see if you can match up a phone number. Some of them will do that."
Alexis felt bad for him. Killian had tried-even if it wasn't one of the best tries she had ever seen in her life.
"Depending on where you left the note, maybe she'll find the paper, realize that it was out of place, and suspect it was a note and that you just weren't thinking. I'm guessing she doesn't have anyone with sight who could read it for her?
"Good idea..."
At least he was listening to her. And he'd told her earlier he might need her help apologizing to a girl, and this is exactly what she would have said-blind girl or not.
"Snow globe?"
Yet another gift offered by a man. Alexis sighed. She had two necklaces currently in her room that she wasn't sure what she should do with-or the men who had given them to her.
"Maybe we will start a snow globe collection." Alexis took the snow globe from Killian's hand and shook it. "Besides, if this one makes it back to New York in one piece, maybe that's an indication that things won't be so bad?"
Alexis thought again of the idea of moving running through her head. She didn't have to tell Jon-or Ryden for that matter-where she was going. She was very, very good at completely disappearing off the face of the earth.

"It's not the end of the world. I can't imagine it's totally unfixable."
"Save for her thinking I'm an ass...sure totally fixable," Killian muttered bitterly. In truth though he knew he had no room to be bitter or angry; he was after all completely to blame here and if Flick decided she didn't want anything to do with him then that would be it.
"Do you have her address? You could try searching it through one of those map sites online and see if you can match up a phone number. Some of them will do that."
"That's about the only thing I do have for her....but I checked....and I searched.....ALL afternoon," Killian explained slightly defeated cause he had pretty much tried every avenue he had been able to think of. But Killian was rather positive that wealthy families didn't keep their personal information accessible.
"Depending on where you left the note, maybe she'll find the paper, realize that it was out of place, and suspect it was a note and that you just weren't thinking. I'm guessing she doesn't have anyone with sight who could read it for her?
"In theory she should; but her guardian is on some trip so she's there by herself...thus leaving me screwed Lex."
Killian smiled slightly as Alexis took the snow globe from him.
"Maybe we will start a snow globe collection. Besides, if this one makes it back to New York in one piece, maybe that's an indication that things won't be so bad?"
"My fate hangs in the balance of a snow globe?" Killian asked with a small laugh.
"I suppose I have had worse luck."
Killian stared at the snow globe in Alexis' hand and then back up at her.
"Would you hate me? If you thought I just left you?" Killian asked wanting her to be honest and half hoping she would sugar coat it.

"Save for her thinking I'm an ass...sure totally fixable,"
"Even that's undoable." Alexis realized that this situation was remarkably close to hers, except she doubted that Killian's girlfriend's life had gone to hell in a handbasket since he'd left. And this was different. She doubted that half of the events which had played out between she and Jon had occured between this girl and Killian-and if certain ones had, she didn't want to hear about it.
"That's about the only thing I do have for her....but I checked....and I searched.....ALL afternoon,"
"Well....." Alexis shrugged. "Oh well, you tried."
She looked around the room, wondering what she should say next. Obviously, Killian did have a little problem on his hands.
"In theory she should; but her guardian is on some trip so she's there by herself...thus leaving me screwed Lex."
"A guardian who leaves a blind girl on her own? How is she? Is she human?"
Who did that? Now Alexis was confused. Were humans really that careless? She wasn't going to press on questions, but whatever.
"My fate hangs in the balance of a snow globe?"
"Mmmhmmm. And yep, you have." Alexis responded in response to Killian's comment on his bad luck. "Can life get any worse?"
She seriously doubted it was. Her desire to go and cry in Ryden's arms was overwhelming. She hated the idea of using him to make her feel better, but he would make her feel better in the long run, so why not?
"Would you hate me? If you thought I just left you?"
"Depends, did you leave me to go hunt werewolves?" Alexis asked dryly. Sighing, she changed her mood and her attitude.
"There's two sides to every story, Killian. Always. You have to listen to both. I wouldn't hate you if you left-depending on your reasons of course. But it would sadden me imensely if you left me."
Alexis thought for a moment if it would be easier if she hated Jon. She determined that that wouldn't solve any problems. Hatred led to anger and that led to bad things. And she knew that no matter what happened, part of her would always love him.
"Maybe I'm being difficult." She sighed, looking at Killian. "I don't have a right to take this out on Ryden, do I?"
