Ryden had allowed Alexis the time she needed to rest her mind and soul after they had arrived in Salem. He had been able to attend to a majority of his business needs while Alexis rested and Killian did…whatever it was the boy had set about doing. In truth he had not laid eyes upon him since they arrived but according to the staff the boy had not left so Ryden figured he was safe enough and had not worried about it. Whatever demons the town of Salem held against the boy were his own and he had no place to pry into them. Once his business was complete Ryden had retired to his own room and freshened up his appearance and then had asked the head of the hotel staff to deliver 12 dozen red roses, a fresh bottle of blood and a note to Alexis’ room. It was very much his goal to make certain Alexis’ stay in Salem was nothing short of perfect; and anything which dared get in the way of her happiness would have himself to answer to.
Once he was showered and dressed in fresh clothes Ryden made his way from his room and down to the hotels lavish courtyard. Ryden seated himself in one of the courtyard chairs as he simply waited for when Alexis joined him. He hadn’t given a time or anything in his note it was simply when she was ready. He had completed anything he needed to do so Ryden simply relaxed in the seat and set about reading the Bible which had been in his room. Even in the privately owned resorts it seemed the Bibles made their way but it was good reading. There had been a time when he was human where he had known the book from cover to cover but it had been a good long while since he had read the scripture.

Alexis awoke from her nap feeling far more refreshed than before. Getting out of bed, she decided it was time to meet up with Ryden rather than keep him waiting any longer.
She straightened her hair, put on her makeup and dressed in a white sundress trimmed with deep blue ribbon. She slipped silver strapped sandals onto her feet and spritzed on a bit of new perfume she'd purchased recently. Chanal No. 5 had been her go to for years, but now it was time for a little switch up. Carnal Flower sounded exotic....and it had cost her a fortune for a small bottle. It better wear well.
Heading downstairs, Alexis found Ryden in the hotel's courtyard. She immediately noticed he had a Bible in his hands. That was different. She didn't see many vampires reading that.
"That's an interesting read." She informed him as she moved beside his chair. "I don't think I've read that in almost 500 years."

That's an interesting read."
Asoft smile crossed Ryden's face as Alexis' vocie floated through teh courtyard. He slipped the Bible closed and rested it upon his knee as she neared him. It was funny really when he thought about it; thought about the feelings he felt for the woman it was almsot human. Or well would have been ahd they been human. But he supposed love was love no matter how you looked at it and he did in fact love Alexis London.
"I don't think I've read that in almost 500 years."
"Yes it had been a century or two since I had visited the pages so I thought perhaps some refreshing would be a good use of time," Ryden explained as he pulled himself to his feet and placed a kiss upon Alexis' lips.
"I hope you rested well," Ryden stated as he took in Alexis' appearance. She looked a vision as seemed to be a normal occurence for her.
"You look divine as always," Ryden explained as he took notice of her new scent.
"And I rather enjoy the new scent you seem to be sprtoing this afternoon. Now by all means Ms. London the city of Salem is at your feet. Where would you like to go?"

Alexis's eyes lit as Ryden began to pay her even the slightest attention. She had never felt the intense desire to clamor for a man's attention as she did Ryden Compton's and she wished that she had met him roughly 100 years earlier so they could have spent more time together. But who cared? They were vampire and could do as they wanted for the rest of time.
"Yes it had been a century or two since I had visited the pages so I thought perhaps some refreshing would be a good use of time,"
"I was raised Catholic." Alexis said, looking at the book in his hands. "Those were far different times from now."
She caught his face and kissed him again as he had stood up. Again, she needed to be kissing him. For that matter, she needed to be close to him.
"I hope you rested well,"
"Very well." She said, grasping his hand in one of hers.
"You look divine as always,"
"I think there are a number of priests and nuns in Hungary who just rolled over in their graves at your using the comparison "divine" to me." She gave him a quick smile. It was true. She had thought many times that those people who had taught her the Catholic faith would be horrified at what she had become. Oh well. They were dead and she wasn't.
"And I rather enjoy the new scent you seem to be sprtoing this afternoon. Now by all means Ms. London the city of Salem is at your feet. Where would you like to go?"
"Thank you." Alexis was highly pleased that the very expensive perfume pleased him. At the moment, she wanted everything she did to please Ryden.
"And truthfully, I don't know. You're far more familiar with the town than I am, perhaps you could show me the highlights?"

"I think there are a number of priests and nuns in Hungary who just rolled over in their graves at your using the comparison "divine" to me.""Well then I say let them roll," Ryden responded with a smile as he gently caressed Alexis' face. Her skin felt so smooth beneath his finger tips. It was as if every inch of her was perfect and the more time he spent with Alexis he realized that she was indeed perfection who deserved the best things in life and death as was the case for vampires. "And truthfully, I don't know. You're far more familiar with the town than I am, perhaps you could show me the highlights?"Ryden smiled as he held Alexis' hand gently in his own. It seemed to fit rather nicely as if it belonged there all along. Which Ryden would be willing to bet any soul on earth and beyond that it did. "There is much that the city of Salem has to offer; for this afternoon though I think perhaps a trip to the shops and parks that Salem has may do the trick in my evil plan of ensuring your happinness," Ryden explained with a good natured smirk. "But before we do I want to see if you would oblidge me in something Alexis," Ryden explained as he dug into his pocket an dpulled out a small box before carefully walking ebhind Alexis. "I have had this for many years; I came upon it when I was still human and have kept it near until I felt as if I had found it a home," Ryden explained carefully taking the necklace with the ruby shaped charm out of the velvet box and unclasping it. He had purchased it long ago for Mary Boleyn as a token of his love and had wanted to present it to her at court but was never given a chance. He had held on to it since then and until now he had not felt it would ever find its match. "I wish for you to have it Alexis; it has been searching for you for over 500 years...as have I," Ryden whispered gently in her ear as he slipped the necklace around her neck and gently closed the clasp as he placed a gentle kiss upon the back of her neck. "Will you accept this as a token of my feelings for you?" Ryden asked pleased that the necklace had finally found its home; if of course Alexis accepted it.

"Well then I say let them roll,"
If Alexis's heart was beating, it would have stopped as Ryden ran his hand over her face. She had met a number of vampire males over the span of her life and this man did things to her that none of them had. In fact, she didn't know that this type of vampire man existed. If she had, perhaps she would not have spent so much time alone.
"There is much that the city of Salem has to offer; for this afternoon though I think perhaps a trip to the shops and parks that Salem has may do the trick in my evil plan of ensuring your happinness,"
"I like that plan. It doesn't sound terribly evil." She wrapped her fingers tightly through his. "Have you heard from your ex wife? I just want to make sure we play be every rule in the book to ensure she removes this curse."
Which reminded her, why exactly had she chosen to wear white while cursed? That didn't sound like it was going to come close to ending well. Alexis made a slight groan.
"But before we do I want to see if you would oblidge me in something Alexis,"
Alexis could only gasp at the sight of the necklace Ryden was placing around her neck. She thought she might have held more still than she ever had in her life.
"I wish for you to have it Alexis; it has been searching for you for over 500 years...as have I,"
"I-." Alexis's fingers moved to handle the red stone at the end of the gold chain. It was beautiful, breathtakingly beautiful and she could barely find the words.
"Will you accept this as a token of my feelings for you?"
"Ryden, it's absolutely gorgeous. Of course I will. I barely know what to say."
She turned her head and kissed him lightly.
"Thank you."

"Have you heard from your ex wife? I just want to make sure we play be every rule in the book to ensure she removes this curse."
"She will remove the curse you have my word Alexis. Marisolla may not be a fan of yours or Killian's for heavens knows what reason but if it one thing she respects it is the fact that I am her maker and without me she would not even still be upon this earth. I wish for the curse to be off of you so it will be. You have nothing to worry about I will take care of you...it is important to me that you understand that," Ryden explained gently as he allowed his fingers to linger upon her skin once more.
"I would do anything in this world and the next to ensure you are taken care of and happy; I only wish you had been in my life sooner. But I will spend the time you allow me to stay within your life making up for lost time," Ryden whispered gently in her ear.
Ryden watched contently as Alexis' smooth fingers held the stone at the end of the necklace. It looked as if the jewel had been made especially for her; and if one believed in fate and the powers of the universe he believed that maybe just maybe it had been all those years ago been made for this very moment in time.
"Ryden, it's absolutely gorgeous. Of course I will. I barely know what to say. Thank you."
Ryden smiled gently as Alexis' lips found their way against his once more; he was pleased she had accepted the necklace and even more pleased that she seemed to enjoy the selection.
"You are a bright spot in the world which has been dark for me for many years; I want you to realize how very special you are and never doubt it...not ever no matter what life throws at you," Ryden replied gently as he pressed his lips against hers feelign the passion he felt for her course through him.
"Now I think we're ready to start on our day journey," Ryden added hating to pull away from her; even if the prospect of spending the afternoon within her grasps was more then appealing then anythign they could possible stumble upon in Salem.

Alexis had not counted on Ryden playing the maker card. But in all truthfulness, it was the best way to get a vampire to do something. Call in their maker, get the maker to demand it, you basically got your wish. If it worked, Alexis didn't care. She wanted a real life again.
"I would do anything in this world and the next to ensure you are taken care of and happy; I only wish you had been in my life sooner. But I will spend the time you allow me to stay within your life making up for lost time,"
"My sentiments exactly." Alexis murmured, her entire being seeming to get sucked into the other vampire's eyes. Gently, she brought the red stone to her lips and kissed it gently.
"I'll take excellent care of it. I promise." She leaned up for another kiss.
[i["You are a bright spot in the world which has been dark for me for many years; I want you to realize how very special you are and never doubt it...not ever no matter what life throws at you,"[/i]
Alexis smiled, almost feeling her eyes tear up at Ryden's words. She adored him. Every part of him. As his lips found hers again, she wanted to keep kissing him...and more.
"Now I think we're ready to start on our day journey,"
"We'd best." She whispered, even though she didn't think the idea sounded entirely appealing to him as it didn't to her. Instead, she led him to the doorway and into the afternoon sun. Slipping her Chanel Sunglasses from her white Hermes bag, she eased them over her eyes. Vampires were not fond of sunlight-at all.
"Where to?" She asked, looking up at Ryden.

Ryden smiled softly as he watched Alexis place the stone gently to her lips. It was as if it had belonged to her all those years he had kept it safe and now and only now was it right where it belonged. It would seem the universe was funny in this particular way as of late.
"I'll take excellent care of it. I promise."
"I don't for a moment doubt that," Ryden answered as he kissed her again gently as they made their way out into the bright Salem sunlight. The afternoon was rounding out to be rather beautiful.
"Where to?"
"I figured we could make our way to a bit of the historical parts of Salem. This town is filled with history...and there are no doubt a good number of shops which could catch your attention. Anything you wish to have is yours; I want to make sure you are as happy as can be while we are here," Ryden explained as the doorman made his way to fetch the car for them.
Ryden took the time to tilt Alexis' face towards him slightly as he placed a kiss upon her lips once more.
"I do not wish to alarm you but I want you to know something," Ryden whispered in Alexis' ear as he held her tight. The feeling of her against him and just her general existence was something he couldn't stand to be without.
"You must trust me when I tell you when you came to me in London I did not set out for this; but somehow I have fallen very much in love with you Alexis London," Ryden explained allowing his fingers to brush gently through her hair as the car pulled up in front of them.

Alexis settled herself against Ryden's arm. The only thing that really mattered to her was being close to him and holding him. She never wanted to do anything else in this world. If the world ended while she was in his arms, oh, who cared?
"I figured we could make our way to a bit of the historical parts of Salem. This town is filled with history...and there are no doubt a good number of shops which could catch your attention. Anything you wish to have is yours; I want to make sure you are as happy as can be while we are here,"
Alexis's memory of Salem didn't go far. She'd picked up a few details of the witch trials from listening to others. She'd never met any vampires who'd experienced them.
"I'd like to see the history." She told Ryden, tightening her grip on him for no reason other than her own security. "Where you here....did you see the trails? Was your ex wife?"
And he'd said the magic word-shops. There wasn't much Alexis liked more than shopping. It was most certainly in her top three, and had been pushed to number two since killing had been knocked out.
"You're too sweet." She murmured softly as her lips met his once again.
"I do not wish to alarm you but I want you to know something,"
Uh oh. At the rate her luck was going, this could be bad. She nearly crossed her fingers in the hold that would stop things from suddenly turning awful.
"You must trust me when I tell you when you came to me in London I did not set out for this; but somehow I have fallen very much in love with you Alexis London,"
If her heart had been beating, it would have stopped just now. She could barely believe she'd heard him. Her head thought of all of the emotions she'd felt since meeting Ryden their first time. She had never thought of giving into them until she'd set it in her heart that Jon was gone. He had been her only desire while she was in London-until she'd returned to New York and things had turned ugly, and Ryden was there to pick up the pieces. Only then had she given into what had been lurking the entire time.
"I knew from our first meeting that you would indeed be very special to me." She whispered, pressing her lips to his ear. "But it wasn't until everything fell apart, and you were so strong when I needed you to be that I truly understood it. I believe I have also fallen very much in love with you."
