Sleep was awesome.
Sure for a while there when she'd first laid down she'd had that feeling like she was rocking on a boat and it was incredibly terrible. But after a while it calmed down and she gave in to peaceful unconsciousness.
Which was great, 'cause that had been one hell of a weird night. Cassandra hoped she never had a repeat of it. Ever. She had been doing so well forgetting all the shit that she'd left behind. And then here was this strange man, endearingly oblivious, who brought it all up again.
Cassandra tossed slightly in her sleep as she felt guilt overwhelm her. She had murdered her own brother... maybe it was self defence... it didn't matter. He was dead. And it was all her fault. A small part of her wanted to go home... but she didn't think she ever could. Her parents must hate her... their daughter had used her freaky ass mind powers to kill their son. There was no forgiving that.
But it was forgotten now... left behind. She had moved on... maybe she needed to move on further. Take the cats and go somewhere else, be someone new. She wriggled deeper into the blankets on her bed. She would deal with that when she woke up.

Raguel had thought upon Cassandra James' words for the better part of the evening after he had left her apartment as she had classified it. He had done something to cause her distress and confusion and for the life of him Raguel had no idea what that had been. He had been polite and he would have said he had been pleasant company though he was certain Ms. Cassandra may have fought him on that classification but just the same he felt awful fro having upset her enough that she had seen to it that himself and the mute child had thrown from her home.
Raguel had never been thrown out of anywhere before; especially not the home of a human.
This was not at all the world his brothers had told him about the last time angels had walked among man. Times have changed and the more time Raguel spent upon the earth the more he was forced to realize this. It was not at all a welcomed sensation when you got down to it.
He had been rather uncertain what to do with his evening so he had found himself seated outside of an establishment those who lived in Vegas liked to frequent while extremely drunk...other wise known as a wedding chapel. It was a rather disheartening bit of knowledge to know that out of the 20 individuals he saw get married 18 would not be so within a days time. And Raguel was rather certain Elvis had no business marrying people...and what he was doing out of heaven was beyond him. At times it was best simply not to ask.
When the sun split the dark Vegas sky Raguel had simply had enough in regards to the guilt he felt over upsetting Cassandra so he did what came naturally...he transported himself back to her apartment. The establishment was silent even the cats had taken up their spots in the dwelling and were sleeping. As he made his way into what he assumed was the girls bedroom he sat himself upon the edge of her bed and simply stared about the room patiently waiting for her to awaken.

Cassandra squeezed her eyes further shut as her bedroom began to brighten, a crack in the curtains letting the morning sun through. She stretched out in her bed, still mostly asleep and trying to hold on to it for as long as possible. She would most likely go back to sleep later but still, the longer she stayed asleep the better, in her opinion.
As she stretched, her foot came into contact with something near the edge of her bed, and she quickly changed the direction her leg streatched in so she wouldn't knock what she assumed was one of the cats, onto the floor.
She curled back up, her stretch finished, but by this point she was almost fully awake and, with a sigh, she sat up in her bed. Yawning she leant forward to scratch whichever cat had chosen to sleep at the end of her bed, only to discover that it wasn't a cat at all.
It was a man.
The man from last night, no less.
For a moment Cassandra simply stared at him, fairly sure she was hallucinating. Possibly still dreaming. Because there was no way he was in her apartment. Right?
Eventually the shock wore off and, once she had come to the conclusion that he was actually there, Cassandra did the only thing she could think to do. She screamed, very loudly, and tossed her bedside lamp at him.

Raguel would never understand why it was humans spent so much time sleeping; it seemed to him as if it was a perfectly good waste of their Father's time. But he was not one to judge; not humans anyhow so he figured they could spend their time as they liked doing what they liked.
Apparently Cassandra James enjoyed sleeping.
The time passed slowly and Raguel found himself staring absently towards the ceiling counting the thin cracks in Cassandra James' ceiling; she would need to see to them eventually...if the human ever decided to wake up. Raguel's attention was grasped by one of the cats which pounced upon the bed and he then occupied the time by counting the hairs on the cats back.
Raguel snapped to attention as he took note of the movement coming from Cassandra James. He stared at the girl as he waited for her to continue to awaken...he could only hope that this too was not a long drawn out process. He was most pleased as she finally opened her eyes and stared back at him. He took notice of the look of familiarity her eyes held which was convenient as re-introductions took time.
"Pleasant morning Ms. Jam...Cassandra I...." Raguel unfortunately never got the rest of his apology started as the girl began to scream causing Raguel to stumble back slightly taken entirely by surprise by the girls reaction. He was not entirely certain but he was pretty sure this was not the way humans awoke in the morning. He reacted with inhuman speed as the lamp came towards him and grasped it by the neck before setting it upon the floor his wide eyes staring back at Cassandra James holding nothing in them but the slightest hint of panic.
The human woman was becoming hader to figure out then one of his fallen brothers.

Cassandra didn't hear the man's attempted words as she was screaming too loudly, and far too busy scrambling backwards in her bed to pay much attention to anything else. How was he even in her apartment? She vaguley remembered being outside the club with him, and some other guy, and then suddenly in her apartment, but she assumed that that was some sort of drunken memory, cutting out the actual journey from the club to her home.
Unless it wasn't. And they had somehow teleported to her house.
But that was ridiculous.
As he caught the lamp, Cassandra's screams ceased, quieted somehow by his rather fast reflexes. It was completely unnormal - at least for this time of the morning - but it served to calm her down for some reason. She took several slow, deep breaths and continued to stare at the man - Raguel she thought his name was.
Alright so if she were to ignore the how part of Raguel being in her apartment, she would then have to move on to the why. Logically, if he'd wanted to hurt her he would have done so by now. Or while she'd slept or something. But he hadn't. He'd simply sat on her bed for who knew how long.
"What..." she finally managed to say, pulling the blankets closer to her. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Raguel eyed Cassandra still rather perplexed as her screams quieted slightly. Even with her having gone semi silent Raguel still held his spot across the room from her should she decide to begin her racket once more.
"What...What the hell are you doing here?"
"Hell hardly has anything to do with it...dreadfully hot place and not one I have ever frequented. It would make your work establishment seem like paradise," Raguel explained matter of factly.
"But if we dismiss hell I was here to apologize for upsetting you. I am no longer certain that was the proper course of action...due to your hysterics," Raguel explained eying the lamp upon the floor. He was not in any way certain why she had seen it fit to throw an item used for illumination at him but he would allow her her own customs.
"I wished to apologize for any actions I may have been responsible for which caused you grief. That was not at all my intention and I wished for you to know that; as I have no explained the situation I will leave you to your cats and morning," Raguel explained with a slight nod as he turned to walk from the room. He was not at all certain how one handled this sort of situation and as apparently him simply appearing places caused Cassandra grief he would "show himself to the door" as she had instructed him the evening before.
Running a hand through his vessels hair Raguel was not at all certain he was doing the job his Father intended properly.

"Hell hardly has anything to do with it...dreadfully hot place and not one I have ever frequented. It would make your work establishment seem like paradise,"
Cassandra found she had nothing to say to that comment. It wasn't so much what he said that stumped her, as the way he said it. Like he knew exactly what he was talking about.
But if we dismiss hell I was here to apologize for upsetting you. I am no longer certain that was the proper course of action...due to your hysterics,"
She followed his gaze to the lamp on the floor and suddenly felt sheepish. She had possible overreacted a little... throwing a lamp and screaming at someone just because they gace you a fright was slightly over the top. Maybe.
"I wished to apologize for any actions I may have been responsible for which caused you grief. That was not at all my intention and I wished for you to know that; as I have no explained the situation I will leave you to your cats and morning,"
Cassandra blinked at him, not really sure of what to say as he walked away. Quickly, she dragged herself out of bed, threw a jacket on and followed him out of the bedroom.
"You know, usually people knock before entering someone's house," she said, offering him a small smile as she leant against the doorway to the kitchen. "You scared the crap out of me."
"How did you get in, anyway?"

"You know, usually people knock before entering someone's house."
Raguel stopped as he adjusted his gaze back towards Cassandra. The girl was extremely confusing one moment she was shrieking and throwing lighting devices at him and then the next instance she was speaking with him.
"You know, usually people knock before entering someone's house."
"Had I knocked would you have granted me permission to enter?" Raguel asked her though he was rather certain he knew the answer even if Cassandra James would not tell him. He did not understand what it was about his presence which bothered Cassandra bu Raguel feared that somewhere along the line he had gravely offended the woman.
"You scared the crap out of me."
Raguel's face shifted slightly back towards confusion in response to Cassandra's words as he cast a glance towards the room from where she had come.
"I apologize for the mess."
"How did you get in, anyway?"
"The same way I left," Raguel explained simply; the girl was asking rather unimportant questions and Raguel was unsure whether she had accepted his apology or not. But it seemed as if she had yet to throw him out of her dwelling again so perhaps that was a step in the proper direction...though with Cassandra James was rather certain one could not be entirely certain.

"Had I knocked would you have granted me permission to enter?"
Cassandra chose not to answer that and simply shrugged. She didn't actually know if she would or not. She supposed she'd at least hear him out while he stood outside before letting him in.
"I apologize for the mess."
Cassandra followed his gaze towards the bedroom before looking back at his confused expression, wrinkling her nose in vague amusement.
"It's an expression," she clarified. "I just meant that you scared me a lot."
There he went again, being all seemingly oblivious to... well... just about everything normal. Maybe he'd lived in one of those crazy religious communes that didn't have tv's or newspapers or radios or anything. That would sure explain a lot.
"The same way I left,"
Cassandra frowned, trying to remember that particular part of the evening. Christ, how much had she had to drink last night? Or maybe it had just been that traumatic. She remembered telling him to leave. And the door opening and... Raguel disappearing in the blink of an eye accompanied by the sound of fluttering wings.
Oh yeah.
"Of course, that teleportation thingamie you do," Cassandra nodded. So... if he could clearly read minds and teleport, was it possible to have multiple abilities? Did she have multiple abilities?
"Why did it sound like wings?" she asked, "Or did I imagine that bit?"

"It's an expression," she clarified. "I just meant that you scared me a lot."
“How does that mea…as you wish,” Raguel conceded the point figuring that perhaps it was best to not know why certain things were what they were and meant what they meant while others did not. He would be the first to acknowledge the fact that never in the time of his existence had he thought being amongst his father’s children would be so confusing and seemingly empty of reason.
Raguel stared back at Cassandra James as he waited for her to recall how it was he had left. He didn’t think it would have required so much thought but perhaps after such an excessive amount of sleep it took humans a bit of time to become functional once more.
"Of course, that teleportation thingamie you do,"
“In a way,” Raguel responded choosing again to pick and chose his moments of corrections especially considering that Cassandra James had not yet accepted his offered apology.
Raguel glanced down at one of the cats which had took to rubbing it’s head against the hard surface of his vessels shoe. The cats were incredibly needy and forever seemed to require tuna.
“The cat requires tuna once more,” Raguel explained locking his eyes once more with Cassandra.
"Why did it sound like wings? Or did I imagine that bit?"
“No you didn’t imagine it and I would believe that it would sound like wings because I have them; though you aren’t able to see them. I am pleased though that you are functioning more at a normal speed now,” Raguel explained as it was nice to see that functionality was returning to the human woman.
“Do you see fit to accept my offered apology?” Raguel asked concerned blue eyes staring into Cassandra’s eyes.
