Flick wandered through Central Park... alone... her cane tapping the ground infront of her eer so often. Jamie was still away... Killian had up and gone without a word... and so she was back to being by herself. Which, while never having been a problem before, seemed much more lonely now.
She sighed and stopped walking, examining a chattering creature next to her. It sounded like a squirrel and she nudged it gently with the end of her cane, allowing it to hold the end and sniff it. After a while, the squirrel lost interest and bounded away and Flick resumed her walk. She had been reduced to trying to entertain squirrels. Great.
"I've got to get a life..." she muttered to herself.

Gavner had been keeping himself rather occupied as of late which was a bit odd for him. At the most productive times in his rather long life he ahd always just done what he needed in order to stay just below the radar but lately he had found himself becoming rather skilled in his trade of chocie. He of course had been warned of this; warned that as time wore on he would become a skilled deal maker would see it for what it was...his way of life. Deals needed to be made in order for his way of life to continue and as much as he hated to admitt it Gavner wanted his life to continue. He may not have liked what exactly he was but if it kept him alive then so be it.
"I've got to get a life..."
Gavner had been able to feel the girl approaching long before he heard her and as luck would have it with a bit of poking around mentally he could feel that he was exactly what she needed.
"I can help you with that you know...the whole getting a life thing," Gavner explained with a smile as he stretched out on the park bench nearest to the girl.
Everyone had a price and the bit of frusturation towards life in general that was rolling off the girl made Gavner think that perhaps this would be a rather easy sell. Besides he would wager a guess of his own what the blind girl wanted most in the world.

"I can help you with that you know...the whole getting a life thing,"
Flick stopped and tilted her head to the side in the general direction the voice had come from, trying to get a feel for who - or what - was talking to her. Turned out 'what' was a lot closer to the truth and she raised her eyebrows in slight surprise. Well there was something you didn't see... or... not see........ every day.
"A goblin in Central Park," she said, focusing more and turning to face him directly. "Not exactly a regular occurance."
She searched her brain for what she knew about goblins... not much... Jamie hadn't come across a whole lot of Faery kind in his time and so hadn't told her a great deal. One thing she did know, though, was that deal making was their forte... and generally mankind's downfall.
"I'll pass, thanks," she said, referring to his offer. "I don't really feel like selling my soul for a couple of friends... I'm not that desperate."

"A goblin in Central Park. Not exactly a regular occurance."
Gavner smiled slightly; she was psychic he had missed that but then again he hadn't really been looking for it. He had been looking for a hot dog if they were going to call a spade a spade.
"Well look at Ms. Psychic in the City," Gavner replied with a smirk as he lounged back slightly on the bench he was currently occupying. It was always fun to make deals with the supernatural they had a bit more to give and lose in their deals.
"I'll pass, thanks, I don't really feel like selling my soul for a couple of friends... I'm not that desperate."
"Souls are over-rated," Gavner replied with a smirk. Honestly people were always jumping right into the soul trading; crossroads demons had it easy. Collect soul make out done day; he had gotten into the wrong sort of deal making.
"Probably not a couple of friends..." Gavner did a bit of searching of his own until he cam eup with some information which would be useful to him.
"But I think there is one person in particular who has catched the psychics fancy," Gavner explained with a smirk. He did love to find what it was people held as a weakness. It was pretty awesome in the long run.
"Such pretty eyes...shame you can't see...not really see anyways," Gavner explained with a shrug as he glanced around the park area.

"Souls are over-rated,"
"Really?" she asked, slightly surprised. If they didn't take souls, then what did Goblins want? She supposed they could ask for anything really... depending on what it was they could grant.
"Probably not a couple of friends... But I think there is one person in particular who has catched the psychics fancy,"
Flick narrowed her eyes at the Goblin, having diffiulty grasping what exactly he was getting at. There was only one person he could be referring to but what did he mean? He could make Killian come back and explain why he had disappeared? As nice as that would be... she didn't think there would be a point in making a deal for it.
"Such pretty eyes...shame you can't see...not really see anyways,"
Self-consciously she raised a hand to her face, touching the corner of her eye lightly. Though now she was really confused. "What are you getting at?"

Gavner leaned back on the park bench as he watched patiently as the psychic attempted to piece together his words. Everyone always thought souls were the answer; sell your soul for this and sell your soul for that...but there were things much more important then owning a soul.
Especially since considering the fact once you got a soul they were pretty much dead by that point...life was much more of a powerful tool to own and a psychic was an extra added bonus into the life pool.
"What are you getting at?"
"I thought you would never ask," Gavner exclaimed with a wide smile.
"Why don't you sit down and we can chat about what exactly you would be willing to part with in order to have that life you so desperately wish for. You know the one where you can see...be a normal woman in this world...travel...love somebody...you know that sort of thing," Gavner exclaimed.
Psychics were something special and could prove to be rather powerful in the right supernatural creatures hand so this deal would be different; and Gavner was hoping for being a bit different he earned himself a few extra points with the assholes that be.

"I thought you would never ask,"
Flick officially decided that she didn't like Goblins... or at least not this Goblin. He was smug, like he knew something she didn't. Which he probably did. Which was extremely annoying considering she was supposed to be a psychic.
"Why don't you sit down and we can chat about what exactly you would be willing to part with in order to have that life you so desperately wish for. You know the one where you can see...be a normal woman in this world...travel...love somebody...you know that sort of thing,"
She knew that making a deal would be bad. Beyond bad, actually. But having a normal life? Actually being able to see? It was too tempting not to at least find out what it would cost. She could always say no later, right?
"I don't have anything," she pointed out, cautiously sitting down next to him. "At least, nothing that would interest you. Big houses, money and the like, aren't really your style, are they."

"I don't have anything. At least, nothing that would interest you. Big houses, money and the like, aren't really your style, are they."
"You have more then you know," Gavner replied smugly. He always found this bit amusing where the person being dealt the deal seemed to think they had nothing to "give." Issue was they always tended to think out of the box as much as Gavner did.
"Now we can sort out the matter of payment," Gavner explained with a smirk as the psychic sat next to him and he draped his arm around her shoulder.
"What I give you is rather straight forward; you want your peepers to peep. Easy enough I would say," Gavner explained as he made certain the girl knew what it was she would be getting out of the deal.
"And as far as what I get; well you're a bit of a special case Ms. Felicity Grey what with you being psychic and all. What I want in return for your sight is you," Gavner explained.
"And before you fly off the handle; I don't want you you or your soul. I want you working for me...making a few deals and providing some information with your Jedi skills...For the rest of your life."
There was small print of course...there usually was but it was best to touch on that a bit later.

"What I give you is rather straight forward; you want your peepers to peep. Easy enough I would say,"
Yep, that sounded right. Eyes that worked... that would see colour, that would allow her to see the people around her and what they looked like... rather than vague ideas based on what her hands felt.
"And as far as what I get; well you're a bit of a special case Ms. Felicity Grey what with you being psychic and all. What I want in return for your sight is you,"
...What?
"Me?"
"And before you fly off the handle; I don't want you you or your soul. I want you working for me...making a few deals and providing some information with your Jedi skills...For the rest of your life."
Being a goblins psychic bitch for the rest of her life... right.
"Not that that doesn't sound fun and all," she said, "and sure I guess I can give you information... providing I know it. But why would I go around making your deals? And what would that entail anyway?"

Not that that doesn't sound fun and all."
"Doesn't it though?" Gavner repleid his voice very much laced with sarcasim.
"...and sure I guess I can give you information... providing I know it. But why would I go around making your deals? And what would that entail anyway?"
A wide smile spread across Gavner's face; the psychic was gonna be a hard sell. That was all right with him though every once in awhile it was a ncie welcome change to have mebody out there that drove a hard deal...instead of those which simply rolled over and took what was given to them.
"You wouldn't be making my deals Felicity Grey...you would be making your own deals," Gavner explained figuring that since she asked like so many did not he would oblidge her in her answers.
"You would for all intensive purposes be just like me...just not as good looking. You would have your own to set to wheel and deal. Certain amount a month...you fail at your goblin deal making and teh peepers get closed for business. Easy as that really."
Gavner eyed the girl next to him for a moment being very careful to cover his tracks as she seemed like one who would pick aart the details.
"The deals have to be good; no making deals for a Snickers bar. We deal in people; first borns most of the times but not always. See you are getting off easy you get to keep your kids..."
Gavner paused for a moment hsi mind searching ever so slightly.
"All 3 of them to be exact."

"You wouldn't be making my deals Felicity Grey...you would be making your own deals,"
Well that was... an odd sort of deal to be making, wasn't it? It wasn't like people generally had things she wanted or anything like that. And the idea of her running around making deals just made her giggle.
"You would for all intensive purposes be just like me...just not as good looking. You would have your own to set to wheel and deal. Certain amount a month...you fail at your goblin deal making and teh peepers get closed for business. Easy as that really."
"Uh huh," Flick said, a small frown creasing her forehead. "And what exactly would I make deals for?"
"The deals have to be good; no making deals for a Snickers bar. We deal in people; first borns most of the times but not always. See you are getting off easy you get to keep your kids... All 3 of them to be exact."
Flick stood up from the seat and looked at the goblin in shock. Well... when I say ''looked at him" I mean... you know. "People?! You want me to go around giving people shit they don't really need in exchange for their children or other people they love? Sorry, dude, but I think I'll pass. I'd rather be blind."
She was about to walk away and forget all about the goblin when something else he'd said made her stop.
" See you are getting off easy you get to keep your kids... All 3 of them to be exact."
"How could you possibly know I'll have kids?" she asked, turning back to him. "When I know I won't?"

"People?! You want me to go around giving people shit they don't really need in exchange for their children or other people they love? Sorry, dude, but I think I'll pass. I'd rather be blind."
Gavner simply let hte girl vent...sometimes it was what they needed and who was he to get in the way of a good old fashion bitching fest. Especially if after she was done it would get her to shut up an dlisten to him carefully.
"How could you possibly know I'll have kids? When I know I won't?"
"Because I'm better then you," Gavner answered simply with a shrug.
"Seeing what people have for me is what I do Felicity Grey...it's what I live for. Let me see if I can go a bit further here...2 girls...a little boy...blonde...the girls will look like you...I can keep going if you like?"
Gavner stood up and joined the girl leaning into her ear.
"Ad you would be making deals for people hwo need things...unless your sight is...as you put it: shit you don't need. Unless the chance to live a normal life instead of the world looking at you like you are a pathetic little freak," Gavner whispered harshly in the girls ear.
"If you could only see them Felicity...even now in the park. If you could see how they all look at the poor little blind girl...the helpless little blind girl...the little blind girl that has to be so much trouble...why do you think he left Felicity? You think he wants a little blind girl tailing after him?"

"Seeing what people have for me is what I do Felicity Grey...it's what I live for. Let me see if I can go a bit further here...2 girls...a little boy...blonde...the girls will look like you...I can keep going if you like?"
Flick said nothing as she tried to picture the children the Goblin described to her. She couldn't, of course, she had no idea what even she looked like let alone the little girls that supposedly would look like her... and the little boy... He could have been lying of course. There was nothing to stop this Goblin from lying to her to get what he wanted out of her, but something told her he wasn't. And that was a hundred times worse.
"And you would be making deals for people who need things...unless your sight is...as you put it: shit you don't need. Unless the chance to live a normal life instead of the world looking at you like you are a pathetic little freak,"
Flick pressed her lips tightly together to keep him from seeing how his words affected her. He had to know of course, or he wouldn't have said it... but that didn't mean she had to give him the satisfaction of seeing it.
"If you could only see them Felicity...even now in the park. If you could see how they all look at the poor little blind girl...the helpless little blind girl...the little blind girl that has to be so much trouble...why do you think he left Felicity? You think he wants a little blind girl tailing after him?"
That... was one step too far for Flick. She spun around to face him, tears in her eyes, fists clenched.
"Do I have to be cruel like you?" she asked angrily, hating herself for even considering this deal. "Do I have to make people hurt to get them to agree?"

Gavner watched carefully and with a hint of satisfaction on his face as he studied Felcitiy's face carefully. His words were affecting her so matter how hard she tried to hide; it was after all why he had said them in the first place.
Gavner took a step backwards as the girl suddenyl spun on him; he had not expected that. The little girl moved awfully fast for being visually impaired. He could feel the anger rolling off of her though...he had touched soemthing within her and that had bee the point after all. But even so soemthing changed within Gavner's eyes as her words reached him.
"Do I have to be cruel like you? Do I have to make people hurt to get them to agree?"
He had become cruel hadn't he? Some where along the line; along the years he had become just like the rest of them. No matter how much he ahd told himself that he wouldn't become like them; that it wasn't possible for him to be like them it had eventually happened. He shouldn't have been surprised they did tell him it would eventually happen...it was who he was after all.
"The turth does hurts doesn't it?" Gavner snapped a bit more bitterly then he would have liked.
"They don't care how you make your deals Felicity; you make them as you wish as long as they get made...and they better get made otherwise your eyes go right back out of service and you go back to where you started," Gavner explained.
He was not a fan of people pointing things out to him that he had failed to realize himself and the little blind girl...the one who couldn't see just yet had done...just that. Without seeing she had been able to see that he was just like the others...but it was his job there was not much choice in it; not in the long run. There wasa certain price to be paid for stealing children and mother's from people in exchange for "shit they didn't need."

"The turth does hurts doesn't it?"
"Shut up," she snapped back, equally as bitterly. She didn't want to think about the fact that he may have been telling the truth, that Killian disappeared suddenly because he didn't want to deal with a blind girl. It didn't feel right, that thought, not from what she knew of Killian... but if the Goblin was right about the children in her future - which she was convinced he was - then why would he be wrong about something small like this?
"They don't care how you make your deals Felicity; you make them as you wish as long as they get made...and they better get made otherwise your eyes go right back out of service and you go back to where you started,"
Flick stared at the Goblin for a long moment. Well... sort of. Through the vibrations she felt in the ground, and the sounds of his breathing, Flick was able to make out a shape, a vague form where the Goblin was. But no details. She knew where everything was around her. The plants, the animals, the other people... she could see them without really seeing them.
But it wasn't enough.
Feeling sick to her stomach and hating herself more than she ever thought possible, she extended her hand towards him. "Fine," she said through gritted teeth. "You win."
