Kaleb had tossed his bag in the back seat of the truck and climbed in once Bianca had made herself comfortable.
"You better. It gets miserable."
“Yeah yeah,” Kaleb said with a smirk as he pulled the truck out of the motel parking lot. He noted Bianca looking back at the motel room they had vacated and knew that her thoughts were dwelling on the hunter they had left behind asleep.
“He’ll be fine Binks,” Kaleb stated matter of factly as he pulled the truck on to the main road.
The truck barreled down the dark stretch of road as Kaleb drove them towards the last known location the werewolf pack had been spotted at. This pack was different then the others Kaleb had run across; usually…USUALLY in the best cases of things people weren’t aware they had become one of the things that go bump in the night and were killing without bad intention which didn’t make the taking out of the werewolf any easier but it gave the person a different sort of sense about them.
These wolves seemed to kill simply because they enjoyed the taste of blood which was an entirely new bag of worms. One Kaleb wasn't to interested in dealing with for any long length of time. Would be best to get in get the job done and get out; but he was almost positive life didn’t work that way.
“So what have you been up to since the last time we talked Binks?” Kaleb asked glancing at Bianca before returning his eyes back tot eh road in front of them.

“He’ll be fine Binks,”
"Yeah, I'm sure he will. I'm just so confused. How the hell do you go downhill that fast?"
Oh, wait, she knew. But she doubted Jon had gone through what she had in such a quick amount of time.
“So what have you been up to since the last time we talked Binks?”
"Same old, same old. Hunting, drinking, nothing really changes." Bianca shrugged as she focused on the darkness outside. "How about you? Any exciting hunts?"
These werewolves sounded like a terrible bunch. Bianca understood why Jon was after them with such a vengeance. They were dangerous. And no one liked to see the innocent hurt.
"These wolves are crazy." Bianca shook her head at the darkness. "And Jon was nuts to take them out if he was so exhausted."

"Yeah, I'm sure he will. I'm just so confused. How the hell do you go downhill that fast?"
"Life can suck that way," Kaleb replied sincerely. He had learned that with life on earth it was an extremely fragile thing. Really life anywhere given the circumstances could be a fragile thing. If there was one force out there and it felt the need to destroy you whether you are angel or human your time could very well be nearing its end. But it wasn't just death with destroyed people; especially not humans. That was what set them apart from angels; humans loved and lived completely...and it was their downfall in the end.
It was actually why it was not recommended that angels spent a lot of time on earth they began to develop human emotions which led to falling...which was bad.
"Same old, same old. Hunting, drinking, nothing really changes. How about you? Any exciting hunts?"
"Oh you know me life is just one exciting hunt and girl after another," Kaleb replied with a smirk as he glanced towards Bianca.
"Look at you sitting in a Chevy and you're not dead yet," he teased as he took the turn off the road and on to the highway.
"These wolves are crazy. And Jon was nuts to take them out if he was so exhausted."
"He was crazy or suicidal," Kaleb responded with a shrug of his shoulders as he noted there exit wasn't that far down the highway.

"Life can suck that way,"
"Life is creative like that." Bianca nodded, tossing her hair back and reaching up to twirl a piece that fell over her eyes. "It can always find a new way to suck when you think it's reached a non suckable level. Does that make sense?"
For a moment, she'd confused herself, yet pleased herself with how many times she'd used the word suck in one thought.
"Oh you know me life is just one exciting hunt and girl after another,"
"So what were you hunting last? Something exciting?" She hadn't had anything cool lately, expect for a haunted house which hadn't really been haunted, just packed with creepy former residents and secret passages. The local police had a field day with that. That one had brought in a lot of money.
"Look at you sitting in a Chevy and you're not dead yet,"
"Yeah, yeah, stop reminding me. It makes the rash worse." Bianca stuck her tongue out at Kaleb.
"He was crazy or suicidal,"
"Yeah, and crazy people don't know they're crazy." Bianca stared out the window. "I hate werewolves. They're really creepy."

"Life is creative like that."
"That's awfully optimistic of you..." Kaleb responded with a slight smirk as he cast a sideways glance at Bianca.
"It can always find a new way to suck when you think it's reached a non suckable level. Does that make sense?"
"Or not," Kaleb amended his last statement with a laugh.
"So what were you hunting last? Something exciting?"
"I don't know if we would say exciting more so it was...interesting. Some swamp monster which looked like it could give the Creature from the Black Lagoon a run for its money," Kaleb explained with a slight shudder.
It had taken damn near a week to get rid of all the swamp moss and heavens knew what else off of everything...including him!
"Yeah, yeah, stop reminding me. It makes the rash worse."
Kaleb maturely stuck his tongue out in response to the gesture from Bianca as he turned off on the exit they would need to take to get to their final destination.
"I hate werewolves. They're really creepy."
"It's not always their fault," Kaleb countered having run into a few unsuspecting humans who didn't have the faintest idea that they had become a killing machine over night.
"Some of them don't know what they are..." Kaleb trailed off his eyes darkening ever so slightly as the non to pleasant memory of a young girl; she hadn't been more then 10 years old fought her way back into his mind. She had been scared and alone her parents having been killed by a monster which had ended up being her. Kaleb hadn't cared much to remember that case.

"That's awfully optimistic of you...Or not,"
"Hey, I'll have you know that argument took me a lot of time. Maybe I sat up all last night thinking of that argument." Bianca pretended to protest her argument, but it died off when she actually realized how futile it was. "I don't know if we would say exciting more so it was...interesting. Some swamp monster which looked like it could give the Creature from the Black Lagoon a run for its money,"
"Ick, that sounds gross." Bianca noticed Kaleb's shudder and wrinkled her nose. "You know what we should do when we're done with this? We should head down to South Carolina and see if we can find the Lizard Man. I don't want to kill him, I just want to know if he exists."
It was a thought. There was no reason hunters had to hunt things that were terrorizing the unsuspecting. They could act on their own curiosity.
She rolled her eyes as Kaleb stuck his tongue out at her again. She turned her gaze out of the window while he spoke about the werewolves who didn't realize just what they were.
"And they're the most dangerous." She murmured thoughtfully as Kaleb continued to head the truck towards their destination. "What's that they always say? The craziest people don't know they're crazy...and they always do the most danger. Same principle."

"You know what we should do when we're done with this? We should head down to South Carolina and see if we can find the Lizard Man. I don't want to kill him, I just want to know if he exists."
"We can call him up and do drinks," Kaleb muttered as he shook his head with a smile. He had heard stories of the lizard man before they were part of a rather long list of creatures the world seemed to be full of these days.
"And they're the most dangerous. What's that they always say? The craziest people don't know they're crazy...and they always do the most danger. Same principle."
"Yeah tell that to a 10 year old," Kaleb muttered bitterly under his breath.
It had been that little girl which had made Kaleb nearly pack up what he had set out to accomplish and go back "home" per say. But he ahd takent he lesser of the two evils an dtsaye dput though he ahd stayed clear of werewolves since then. He had learned a great deal about humans and what they could go through and survivie and grow from and he had begun to experience what they felt as well...which for an archangel was a rather dangerous path to go down.
But that would be something he would worry about when the time came. If the time came.
Allowing the truck to fall into silence Kaleb kept his eyes glued to the dark road ahead as they plowed towards their destination.

"We can call him up and do drinks,"
"Heck yeah! I'd do an Irish Car Bomb with the Lizard Man!" Bianca grinned, turning to face Kaleb. "Dude, I so missed hanging out with you."
It was true. Bianca had found herself alone a lot over the years, and she was in truth tired of it. She needed to make more friends, maybe a boyfriend if she was daring.
"Yeah tell that to a 10 year old,"
Bianca wasn't sure if she was supposed to hear that or not. But she had, and she now turned her smile to a concerned look.
"What about a 10 year old?" She asked gently. She knew full well everyone had things they didn't want to talk about, so she wouldn't push, but if he wanted to expand on the subject she was listening.
A silence had settled over the truck. It felt thick and awkward. Bianca waited a few minutes, and then sighed.
"Want to talk about it?"
