Jon wandered endlessly across the fields, everything looking the same over and over. That was until he came across a lake that seemingly popped out of nowhere. He went to walk in the water and see if it would shock him into being awake but instead found himself walking across the surface. It wasn't until he was in the middle of the lake he turned and shouted again.
Looking down he found he was in his fathers old fishing boat except there were no oars so Jon was forced to let the water move him. He sat in the boat and let his hand drag through the water on the side of the boat as he tried to figure out where he was.

Jon Brunner had landed on Ariella's radar when he'd begun associating with a one Kaleb Church. Her darling brother Kaleb was very important to her at the moment, but she would cross that bridge when she hit it.
Ariella had done her research well and had dug up a bit of info on Jon's past. Hunter, dead family, werewolf dead as a matter of fact. And the problem was that the whole werewolf hunt seemed to consume him-so much so that he'd run off on the woman he loved. Well, she wasn't a woman, she was a vampire. And Ariella didn't give a damn about sub human creatures such as those. But she did give a damn about humans, and what they did. So she was going to have a few words with Mr. Brunner, just to enlighten him, so to say.
The hunter was sound asleep, but it was anything but peaceful. Perfect. Dreams worked great for her. They always had and they always would. She slipped into the dream and neatly settled herself into the opposite end of the boat the hunter was gliding in.
"Hello Jon." She said, letting the smile settle across her face.

Jon gave a start as a woman suddenly appeared at the other end of the boat. Especially one he'd never seen before.
"Umm... Hello. I don't believe I know who you are. For that matter do you know where we are?"
Jon studied the woman closely, as far as he knew he was still dreaming and had nothing with him weapon wise.
If I am dreaming then how the hell did she manage to show up here?
He decided he'd wait to see what she said or did before he made a move.

Ariella's smile widened as the hunter took noticed of her prescense and appeared to be startled.
"Umm... Hello. I don't believe I know who you are. For that matter do you know where we are?"
"My name is Ariella. And I am an angel. And we are on a boat." She reached down and trailed her fingers lightly through the water, holding up the glistening drops on her finger times.
"You're dreaming, Jon." Ariella gazed out over the water. "And that's a very good thing. Because, I feel, we need to have a small talk, you and I."
Ariella looked back down and the water and softly hummed a faint tune. She thought it was a human song called "Only in My Dreams" but she'd heard so many human songs, she couldn't place it.

"My name is Ariella. And I am an angel. And we are on a boat."
Two facts registered with his mind, the woman's name and the fact they're on a boat. It was the angel part he had a hard time wrapping his mind around.
"You're dreaming, Jon. And that's a very good thing. Because, I feel, we need to have a small talk, you and I."
"Well before you say whatever it is you think you need to tell me, first I have a few questions. How do I know you're an angel and not a demon messing with me? How did you manage to get in my dream if this really is a dream? And last but not least, what does an angel want to talk to me about?"
He watched as she began to hum a tune he hadn't heard before but he wasn't about to let that distract him.
"What makes you think I won't force myself to wake up?"

Ari shrugged. Oh, hunters and their suspicions. She didn't understand why they had to spring to judgement and start accussing other supes of being what they weren't.
"I guess you'll have to trust me, won't you? I don't see any weapons. And how did I get into your dream? I'm an angel, Jon, it wasn't exactly the hardest thing in the world. And, for your last question......"
Ariella dipped her fingers into the water and started to trace a pattern. Slowly, the image of a dark hair woman appeared beside the boat.
"I'd like to talk to you about her, Jon. And that's why I think you won't wake up. Because why leave something that brings you closer to.....Alexis?"
Ariella let the word roll off of her tongue and made it sound exotic. She didn't give a damn what happened to the vamp, she was merely a messenger in this case, and someone who could inform Jon of what his leaving his girlfriend had done.

Jon watched as her hand began to trace something in the water and was surprised when it began to take shape. He was even more surprised when he recognized who she'd drawn.

Jon had almost leapt from his seat when he saw Aleix's image in the water but he settled himself down. His knuckles turning white as he gripped the sides of the boat.
"Just what is it you'd like to talk about?"
He kept his eyes locked on those of Aleixs as he felt the ache in his chest at leaving her return ten fold. He just hoped that Kaleb and Bianca decided to leave him alone and not wake him.

Ariella smiled. The hunter was quite in love with his vampire. The emotion radiated off of him. You didn't have to be a supernatural being to know such things.
"Just what is it you'd like to talk about?"
"She's beautiful, isn't she? Lucky man. Do you miss her?" Ariella drew her hand out of the water and folded it neatly into her lap. The hunter's eyes couldn't have been pulled from the image in the water in 100 years. She'd done well.
"She doesn't understand why you left her, Jon. She's so very confused and hurt by the entire thing. She loved you a lot."
Ariella wondered how that one would go over. Humans didn't want their guilt brought up. And she was about to do just that-and make it worse. But it was the only true way he could understand. That was the joy of wisdom.

"She's beautiful, isn't she? Lucky man. Do you miss her?"
Jon couldn't bring himself to answer the woman, he felt a cascade of emotions hit him at the sight of Alexis but the strongest were the grief over leaving her and a building rage at this woman for throwing it in his face. He ground his teeth in frustration as the woman kept speaking.
"She doesn't understand why you left her, Jon. She's so very confused and hurt by the entire thing. She loved you a lot."
He tasted blood in his mouth as he accidentally bit down on the inside of his cheek. His nails digging grooves into the edge of the boat he was gripping.
"What do you want me from me? Why are you doing this? Just leave and let me wake up so I can do what I need to do to get back to her."

Oh, he was getting clearly getting angry, which indicated how much he cared. Ariella liked to see how much he cared, that showed his true feelings. But that still didn't explain why if he cared so much, he'd left her to end up in the position she'd come to.
"What do you want me from me? Why are you doing this? Just leave and let me wake up so I can do what I need to do to get back to her."
Ariella sighed heavily. Humans never wanted to play her games, because that meant they might learn something.
"I'll be frank, Jon. I'm here because you need to know what's been happening with your darling Aexis since you left-and someone's got to fill you in on it so why not me?"
Ariella cast another glance at the image in the water. She considered destroying it so that she have his full attention, but with about to say, she knew he needed to see it.
"Since you left, our vampire here has had a bit of trouble. Her blood has been spilt on two occasions-both by the same fellow vampire-and the second time could have been quite serious."

Outside of his dream the real Jon bit down on his cheek hard enough to bleed. In the dreamworld Jon was getting angry, he was getting tired of the games. Around them the landscape his mind created was breaking apart, the sky had grown dark with storm clouds and the water they were floating on began to get choppy as their little boat began to rock more and more.
"Just give me this vampire's name and where I can find him and Alexis."
He couldn't take his eyes off of the image of Alexis.
Why did I ever go after those werewolves? Why did I rush off without explaining? Damn Jackson, he knows I can never ignore werewolf attacks.
He resigned himself to hear what ever this "angel" had to say and the first chance he got, he was going to find Alexis and then find the creature that would dare put their hands on her and make them pay.

Ariella waited patiently for the hunter to acknowledge her statement. She was pretty sure it wouldn't be great, since he'd already indicated he was passionately in love with the vampire. Why, she didn't understand, but whatever. Humans had their vampire obsessions right now. It was a fever, and it would break.
"Just give me this vampire's name and where I can find him and Alexis."
"Alexis is at home-for now. But she's leaving. She needs to break a curse that was placed on her-and the boy she's taken into her home."
Ariella traced her finger in the water, drawing up the image of a blonde boy.
"I think you know him?" She questioned, looking thoughtfully at the hunter. "The name of the vampire you're looking for is Gardener Wild. He's the lovely Miss London's ex boyfriend, so to say. But there's a problem...she in the company of another vampire....and the two of them find each other's company very agreeable."

Jon watched as the woman now drew Killian's image in the water.
"Yes I know him. Where are they going to break this curse? What do they need to get rid of it?"
He was beginning to get angry at this woman, who was she to just come into his mind and put him through this?
"The name of the vampire you're looking for is Gardener Wild. He's the lovely Miss London's ex boyfriend, so to say. But there's a problem...she in the company of another vampire....and the two of them find each other's company very agreeable."
Several words passed through Jon's head.
EX Gardener Wild Another vampire Very agreeable
It was that last part that made Jon snap. The storm clouds overhead shook with the sound of thunder as Jon leapt to his feet.
"For your sake you better explain everything to me right now."

"Yes I know him. Where are they going to break this curse? What do they need to get rid of it?"
"They were cursed by a witch-a vampire who is a witch rather, which is why the other vampire male came into play. He's the witch vamp's ex husband, and only he can leash her."
Ariella felt as though she were accomplishing something. He wanted to hear her out and he was expressing his passion for the person in question, so all was well. A human who might take responsibility for his actions? Heaven forbid.
"For your sake you better explain everything to me right now."
"For my sake? This is for your sake, my friend. Just a little trick to help you understand what's been going on when you ran off to hunt werewolves. The two were cursed by the witch, they tried to seek out Alexis's ex for help, he did nothing but cause more problems so they sought out the witch's ex for help. Alexis's ex turned up again, caused more blood shed and then went on his way. Lex, the boy and the vamp male are off to Salem to deal with the witch's curse."
It was direct and to the point. Ariella wasn't feeling games. She'd done what she needed to do so far, and they were moving quickly towards mission accomplished.

"They were cursed by a witch-a vampire who is a witch rather, which is why the other vampire male came into play. He's the witch vamp's ex husband, and only he can leash her."
It was easy to guess that this vampire-witch's ex was Alexis's "very agreeable company".
The storm clouds over dissipated as Jon dropped to his seat. He realized how dumb he'd been to go after those werewolves but he could never say no to a werewolf case. They were the reason he didn't have his parents or brother anymore.
"I know what I did was rash but I'm not sure you understand why I became a hunter, then you'd understand why I went after the werewolves without waiting. As for this ex of her's, I'm going to take care of him soon enough. As for this other vamp, I can't promise I'll be the nicest guy but right now I'd really like to get to Alexis and help how ever I can."
Jon rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands. Even in his dreams he was exhausted>
"Please tell me there's nothing worse you need to tell me, I don't know how much more bad news I can take."
