"For being a wreck...I can't...I can't get it to stop,"
Liana sighed and wrapped her arms around Harper tightly. She wished she could make it all stop. But she didn't know how... she didn't exactly have much experience with people coming back out of hell. The only people she did know who had made out of hell had lost there humanity first.
"You were there. You're stronger then I am,"
"Oh... sweetheart..." she said, running fingers lightly through his hair. "You were never supposed to be there. I... well... I wouldn't say I deserved my years on the rack, but I know why I was there... I knew it when I was there. You... You'd expected something else... didn't know why you were there."
Liana paused, not sure if what she was saying was even slightly comforting. "You're out now," she said finally, pushing away from him so she could look him in the eye. "And no matter what, I won't let you go back there, okay?"

"Oh... sweetheart..."
Harper allowed his eyes to slip shut as he felt Lian's fingers to run lightly through his hair. It was odd; the sensation of touch which didn't result in pain or harshness. It was an odd thought that that was what had once been normal and now it seemed to be so foreign.
"You were never supposed to be there. I... well... I wouldn't say I deserved my years on the rack, but I know why I was there... I knew it when I was there. You... You'd expected something else... didn't know why you were there."
Harper couldn't exactly wrap his mind around the fact that Liana was technically a presence which had made hell its "home" for years. She was like nothing found there...she was different she had to be because she was like nothing he had ever found in earth or in hell.
"You're different Li..." Harper whispered his eyes still closed.
"You're out now. And no matter what, I won't let you go back there, okay?"
Harper stared back at Liana for several moments allowing the silence to hang in the room around them. He trusted her though; trusted her word more then he trusted his own.
"Ok," Harper stated with a slight nod of his head. He believed her; that wasn't the problem. The problem was all the other forces out there...they couldn't very well take on the world.

Daniel couldn't screw up this time. He had to get rid of the telepath once and for all. Otherwise, it would be his life. He had no doubt that Raziel would destroy him if he failed. His brother had changed much sincehe had taken on the new cause. A cause that seemed increasingly hard to believe in.
Appearing in the motel room where he had finally located Harper, Daniel stopped, realising the demon was still with him. He hadn't really expected that. Though he supposed the demon would be just as interested in the boy's abilities as his brother was. The fact that the boy remained alive meant that instead of eliminating the threat, the demon must have been trying to use him.
He glanced between the telepath and the demon and, making a quick decision, immediately charged the female. He knew he wouldn't be able to dispose of the telepath with the demon still alive. She had bested him last time - he wouldn't let her do it again.
With a desperate cry, Daniel collided with the demon, pushing her against the wall.

"You're different Li..."
She smiled kindly at him, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. Liana wanted to believe him, she really did. But she was just like every other demon in Hell. The only difference now was that she had Harper.
"Ok,"
Her smile widened, though she was only half satisfied with the answer, and Liana moved off the bed, tracing her hand down the side of Harper's face.
"Everything will be fine," she assured him.
With that, she turned and made to find her clothes and get dressed, but suddenly found herself tackled against a wall. She gasped as her body collided with the wall and was crushed byt the weight of whoever had attacked her. It took her a moment before she recognised him as an angel. And not any angel. They'd dealt with this one before.
"You again?" she managed to say before using all her strength to shove the angel off of her and punch him across the face. Manoevering was going to be difficult considering all she war was a towel, but she would continue to fight no matter what, because clearly this angel desperately wanted Harper dead. And she doubted he would give up any time soon.

Harper was never exactly certain how it happened but it seemed to be happening more and more...that was life going from perfectly fine to flying into a hellish frenzy. One second he had been staring back at Liana feeling slightly more confident that they would be able to face the world and then the very next second Liana had been slammed across the opposite room by the same angel who had meant to kill him not to long ago.
"Liana!"
Harper scrambled out of the bed nearly taken himself down by care of the sheets he had gotten entangled in. He watched as the angel slammed Liana against the wall and Liana returned the favor by punching the angel hard across the face. Without waiting another moment Harper charged the angel slamming into him hard and caused them both to slam into the dresser; the glass mirror above it creaking before slamming down and covering them both in broken class and shards of splintered wood.
Dazed but not out of it Harper reared back and slammed his fist into the angels face. He had a bit of an ax to grind all things considered...and that was ignoring what the angel had attempted to do to Liana.

Daniel had very little time to answer the demon's question as she struck him hard across the face, taking him slightly by surprise and knocking him backwards. He stumbled, but recovered quickly and stepped forward to touch the demon's forehead and destroying her permanently, but found himself unable as he was slammed into the dresser.
The angel had not expected the telepath to get involved in the fight. Truthfully, Daniel had assumed that with his demon captor occupied, Harper Benedict would run while he had the chance. Not the it would help him much, as Daniel would be able to find him wherever he went, but it was a very human thing to do. So, being tackled by the human had taken Daniel completely by surprise. He tried to get back to his feet, feeling slightly embarrassed by being taken down by a human, but was once again struck across the face.
With a slight growl, Daniel grabbed Harper by the shoulders and tossed him across the room, resolving to keep his guard up further, but to deal with the human once the demon had been dealt with. Turning back the female he closed the gap between them in one stepped and grabbed her hard by the throat, slamming her against the wall. The desperation in his eyes clearly showing as he tried to get her to hold still long enough for him to destroy her.

"Liana!"
Liana was just as surprised as the angel as she watched Harper tackle him into the dresser. She had no doubt that Harper could probably take care of himself, and she could see the anger in his eyes, but this was an angel. And it was hard enough to take on an angel as a demon, much less as a human.
"Harper!" she called, her tone worried and a little scolding, seeing him punch the angel across the face. It would do very little to actually hurt the angel and more anger him. As if to prove her right, the angel tossed Harper across the room and turned back to her.
Liana wanted to go over to Harper to see if he was okay, but first there was the issue of the angry angel trying to kill her. She attempted to hit him again, or push him away, but in one step he had closed the distance between them and pressed her to the wall by her throat. While she didn't need to breathe, she had grown quite used to it, and it was much other to keep strength in her host with oxygen going in. As such her attempts to get the angel to let her go consisted of weak kicks that barely grazed his shins.

Harper pulled back his arm once more to slam his fist into the angel's face as his focus was grabbed by the sound of Liana. Tearing his eyes away from the angel they locked upon Liana before he had all of a second to process that he was being thrown across the room and then approximately a second longer before he slammed none to gently into the cheap hotel plaster wall taking a few chunks of the plaster down with him as he hit the floor momentarily stunned and his ears ringing from the impact.
He stayed still on the cheap carpet for several moments the room sliding in and out of focus for several moments as he did his best to allow everything to fall back into place. As the world around Harper slid into its proper place a low growl sounded from somewhere within the back of his throat as he saw the angel with his hand wrapped around Liana's throat.
Without a moments thought Harper shoved himself from the ground and charged towards the angel only stopping short as he noticed the partially opened duffel bag of Liana's. Casting a quick glance towards the angel and back towards the back Harper grabbed the bag and pulled out the old dagger Liana had used on him what felt like a life time ago.
Without thinking and without much of a plan Harper grasped the dagger tightly in his hand as he crossed the rest of the distance towards the angel. Without another word Harper slammed the knife clean into the angel's neck sending blood spraying across the hotel room.

Daniel found himself half wishing it were possible to simply choke the life out of the demon in his grip, for that would be easier than what he had to do. Everytime he was in a position to end her, she would wriggle again and he would have to use both hands to regain control.
And then he had her, he just had to concentrate, tighten his grim on her throat and -
Daniel didn't have a chance to finish off the job as he felt something sharp pierce his vessel's flesh. He choked in surprise and stumbled backwards, his hands flying to his neck, feeling the blood pouring from a wound there. He pulled the knife out of his neck and tossed it the ground, staring at it in shock. The would would not kill him, he knew that, but it was a powerful knife that could cause such a wound in an angel to begin with.
He choked again, finding his vessel's vocal capabilities damaged somewhat and had to find away to fix it, all the while staring in confusion at Harper Benedict who had for the second time come to the rescue of the demon. What in Creation had Daniel missed?

Liana could do nothing but struggle against the angel's superior strength. One would think Lucifer would have had the deceny to make his creations a match for the brothers he hated. But no. There were very few demons who could take on an angel and win - and by winning Liana meant destroying the angel - and Liana wasn't one of them.
There was a moment when she thought the angel would succeed. And she would die. Permanently this time. No hell for her. Just... nothing. And Harper would be left alone with the angel... and she had no idea where he would go this time if he were killed again. She hoped it wouldn't be hell... but there was no way to know.
The moment passed however, with the angel stumbling backwards, her knife in his neck and blood spraying from the wound. Liana sunk to the floor, holding the towel tight to her body and breathing deeply, thanking Kal'el silently for giving her that knife in the first place.
She knew she wasn't safe yet, but the angel had taken a fair amount of energy out of her, and he was probably going to be a moment sorting himself out. She had a moment to breathe.
