Ezekial had always felt complete; in his entire existence he had felt full of life and love and purpose no matter what it was he was doing. But as he sat alone in the empty white room; sitting upon the ground with his head resting against the wall he felt nothing. For the first time in his life Ezekial felt utterly empty on the inside as if his very essence had been torn from him and he was left with nothing but a shell.
He had been distracted; far too distracted by her and the life they could have that he never saw them coming. never suspected that his brothers would fall upon him as swiftly and without mercy as they had. He had had everything one moment and nothing the next. He dared not close his eyes; as every time he so much as blinked he could see her. See her crying and begging for mercy. Mercy for her...and mercy for a child they would never know. His brothers may have raised their sword against her but Ezekial knew that it had been him who had killed her.
The room was silent as Ezekial knew that his moments were quickly coming to an end. He would be judged and casted into the pit and he had nobody to blame but himself. Forgiveness was beyond him and he wouldn;t dare seek it out as the pain he felt...the empty void he know felt already was as if his grace had been torn from him. They could do their worst and it would be nothing compared tot he agony he felt.
The total and unadulterated agony of lovig a soul so completely and then witnessing their destruction was soemthing which destroyed you. And Ezekial was destroyed...he knew this; had felt it the mometn Arrabella burned to ash before his eyes.
As Ezekial stared at the empty chairs scattered about the room he could hear her screams...or at least he thought it had been her who had screamed though the anguished cries he had heard could have very well been his own. He had struggeled and fought against their hold with all of hsi power and it had not been enough...it had not been enough to save her from them.
He felt small...insignificant now without her as if he no longer held meaning or purpose and that was what had driven him to seek solace in teh corner of the room. It wasn't out of fear or a need to hide as some may see it; it was a way to blend with the nothing which engulfed him.
Ezekial stared blankly infront of him; his once bright and expression filled eyes were now void of anything but unimaginable pain as he sat and he waited and suffered in silence for judgement to be brought against him.
