"Yes mother,"
Alexis rolled her eyes and shook her head at Killian.
"Like it or not, I may be the closest thing you have to a parent right now."
She was more than relieved when Killian arrived at her side to take the majority of her weight off of her. The wound was so fresh it sent pain through her body with every small movement.
"It won't do any good to pop the stiches after putting them in,"
"Yes, and you're certainly not putting them in while I'm awake again." She informedd him as she let herself fall backwards onto the bed. "I appreciate it though, more than I can say."
Alexis kicked off her shoes before moving the blankets enough she could slip beneath them.
"No, thank you. I think I'm good." She settled herself as carefully as possible onto her side, keeping her eyes on Killian.
"Promise me you'll try and get some rest." She added as her eyes fell shut.

"Like it or not, I may be the closest thing you have to a parent right now."
Killian stared back at Alexis for several moments not knowing exactly how to react to her statement...she was right...more right then Killian was comnfortable and that was the problem. He cared about Alexis and that was alos another problem. The last time he had cared about people one had gotten killed and the well he hadn't exactly seen his aprents again...ever so none of that really went under the tag of a "win."
"I'm over 300...not exactly a spring chicken any more," Killian replied with a small smirk in his best attempt to brush over the topic.
As Alexis got situated on teh bed Killian made his way over to Ryden and dragged the unconcious vampire over to the couch and after several tries managed to heave him on to it.
"Would a dead weight joke be entirely inappropiate?" Killian asked once Ryden wa suituated and covered.
"Promise me you'll try and get some rest."
"I can surely promise I will try," Killian replied as he picked the gun up and tucked it in his waist band.
"See you in the morning Lex," Killian said before going voer to the light switch and clicking off the light in the bedroom.
What he wouldn't give for a normal life one of these go arounds...

"I'm over 300...not exactly a spring chicken any more,"
Alexis smirked faintly at Killian's comment. He didn't know what she had heard right before Ryden had killed him; that as he slipped deeper into a coma he'd called for his mother...and her...and Esther. She was guessing her needed a parent more than he was comfortable admitting.
"Would a dead weight joke be entirely inappropiate?"
"Yes." Alexis responded without bothering to fully open her eyes. But as Killian slipped the gun into his waist band, she groaned.
"Please be careful with that thing. You can bleed to death if you shoot yourself and I don't care if you can come back to life, it doesn't need to happen."
She tucked the pillow deeply under her head and closed her eyes again.
"Night Killian. Call if anything happens."
She was crossing her fingers that it wouldn't, but sleep was rapidly winning out over her fears and she let herself drift into a deep sleep.
