To say the outcome of the little angel pow-wow meeting of archangels and such at the church had left Anna confused (happy, but deeply confused) would be an understatement. In a soft rustle of wings she'd left the church to return to the hotel. Though Castiel should be used to the silent appearances of his brethren she decided it would be better to use the door. Considering he didn't have the powers at the moment she figured it would be easier on him to appear in the normal...human...way. She didn't want to rub it in his face after all.
Anna gave a sharp knock on the door before waiting a few seconds. She didn't know if the brothers were inside but she didn't want Castiel getting up to answer the door. Looking at the door if flew open and she walked in, the door closing behind her. Her eyes scanned the room for the most recent fallen angel.

The Winchesters had left the motel an hour beforehand, they had been called away and Castiel had assured them he would survive the solitude. After 5 minutes Castiel was regretting his choices, he sat in silence for what felt like an eternity. It should have been an eternity for him since the silence which enveloped him would no doubt be his constant companion now. He had failed and he had the misery to prove it, though he could not place blame on any other, he also could not sort through all of the different emotions and sensations that came along with being human.
As he had sat in silence within the confines of the motel room Castiel could feel pressure against his eyes and an encompassing feeling of what he could only explain as exhaustion? It was pushing at him but he did not wish to succumb to it and he would keep it at bay...or attempt to for as long as his new human body could stand it.The new clothing which had been acquired for him was far too big and his frame seemed to drown within the fabric. He eyes glanced at the tatters of clothing which had belonged to his vessel, they had been discarded in the bin. He shifted uncomfortably in the new clothing but they would serve their purpose of the moment even if he was rather certain he appeared like a fool.
Castiel had allowed his eyes to slip slightly closed as the door to the motel flew open and he snapped his attention forward as Anna walked purposefully into the room. Castiel was surprised to see the angel once more. There was a small part of him which feared that all of his breatheren would abondement him. It was a strange time when Anna, a fallen was classified as an alley; though now he was no better...he was worse.
Castiel's piercing blue eyes stared up at Anna before the flickered back down again to focus upon the frayed edge of clothing he wore. He hated the clothing and felt foolish for the hatred but it was if everything of who he was had been stripped from him in one agonizing gesture.

In the absence of his normal trench coat Anna almost didn't recognize him. She couldn't tell if it was the over-sized clothes or if he had actually lost some weight since the transformation. He also looked like he hadn't slept. Anna wondered if he even realized he needed to do things like eat and sleep.
❝Have you eaten anything?❞ she finally asked in the silence. ❝With the...change you need to eat something.❞
Stopping between the beds she took a seat across from him.
❝I recommend chocolate cake.❞

❝Have you eaten anything?❞
Castiel stared back at Anna entirely perplexed, she knew that they did not eat that there was no necessity for them to do. Eating and the like was an entirely human practice and was useless as far they were concerned.
"I do not ea--"
❝With the...change you need to eat something.❞
Castiel's words died on his tongue as Anna sat across from him, he had failed to take this into account. He was slowly beginning to realize that he had failed to take a great many things into account. Castiel's eyes continued to stare back at Anna his mouth slightly open with a loss of words. He closed it, his lip caught between his lips as his eyes shifted back down to the sleeve.
❝I recommend chocolate cake.❞
It was not enough that he had had his grace stolen from him, that he had allowed himself to be manipulated in the most horrendous way which allowed for another seal to be broken and for the demons to be another step closer to wagging war against their Holy Father. That pain and that anguish was not enough, on top of it all he was human.
He had been made into an insignificant, powerless, and damned human being. There had never been a time in his entire existence where he had felt so miniscule in the grand scheme of things.
"I do not require--I am not hungry."
Castiel amended his words to dictate what he had heard the youngest Winchester claim to the eldest several times, he figured that would be more beneficial than claiming he did not require sustenance since as a human he did, he would but currently he was very content in being as stubborn as possible.
"I do not suppose you returned with any words as to where the demons have taken-"
His eyes darkened, unable to complete his thought he pulled at annoyance at the stray thread only succeeding in creating a longer thread from the sleeve.
"Do we have orders?" Castiel would not be treated as if he were a porcelain doll a child would posses, he would fight as hard as any to ensure that he was given what was taken from him. He would succeed or he would die trying.

His mouth fell open and closed as he seemed to fish for a proper response to her inquiry. When Castiel looked away, her own eyes fell.
"I do not require--I am not hungry."
Leaning forward Anna rested her elbows on her knees. She looked at her hands as now she tried to find the right words. He probably was past the point of hunger. Anna remembered many times getting so worried or wrapped up in something she'd forget to eat. She remembered her mothe-....Amy. Amy would always try and fill her with some kind of food. When chocolate cake didn't work it was always a signal something was wrong.
Anna definitely didn't need a signal now to figure out what was troubling the former angel; a broken seal, a lack of grace.
❝Cas-,❞ she started to say when he changed the subject.
"I do not suppose you returned with any words as to where the demons have taken-"
Her eyes snapped up to his and held them. She frowned. Again she wasn't sure what to say. Her eyes fell to his hands as he started picking at his clothes.
"Do we have orders?" he asked.
❝I- There was a meeting,❞ she finally started. ❝Gabriel called to me earlier. He,❞ licking her lips in an old habit she moved her gaze back to meet his. ❝He was going to carry out the orders you were given.❞
❝But uh, surprisingly enough it seems those orders have been put on hold,❞ she said. Her voice sounded bemused. There was the smallest trace of disbelief still yelling in the back of her mind. Had what she'd seen really just happened? ❝Metatron made an appearance. We didn't really learn anything we didn't already know. Stop Lilith was the main idea.❞
Anna reached a hand out to still his fingers as they continued to pick at the sleeve.
❝We are all looking for your grace Castiel.❞
.❝Metatron also said that you are not to blame for any of this. It was not your fault the seal was broken. Your grace was stolen from you. I promise you will get it back Castiel.❞
