"As would I," Alysaa admitted. Her natural curiosity had been peaked, it was going to be very difficult for her to forget about such a mystery.
"That looks lovely on you, if I do say so myself. But I imagine that there isn't much that doesn't look lovely on you."
She smiled at him. "Well aren't you the charmer?" Not that she minded of course, she always enjoyed complements, and it was nice to recieve them from someone she wasnt about to kill.
She stood up and ran a hand through her hair, roughing it up slightly, when Gardener said he no longer needed her help. "I appreciate your help more than I can say. I certainly hope this won't be the last I see of you, Miss Scarani?"
"I hope not," she said with a coy smile. "You still owe me."

Gardener pushed himself slowly to his feet. He was unsteady, but he could manage. As he stood, he felt a stabbing pain in his arm. Looking down, he realized he'd forgotten that Alexis had been so thoughtful as to run a knife into his arm....and Compton had been so thoughtful as to pull it further.
"I do like a good mystery." He smiled at the other vampire. "And I only charm when I see the other party worthy."
Gardener reached over and took one of the girl's hands. He kissed it lightly before allowing it to return to her side.
"Owe you I do." Gardener felt his pockets and determined his back pocket was still buttoned and its contents intact. Taking out a pen and scrap of paper, he used his good hand to write down an address.
"My hotel." He pressed it into her hand. "Look me up there."

Alyssa smiled as Gardener kissed her hand. Well, this man certainly knew how to make people like him, that was for sure. She found herself wondering why on earth this Alexis woman had allowed him to be shot and, looking at his arm, stabbed. Of course, the finer details of other's relationships were not of Alyssa's concern.
"My hotel... Look me up there."
Alyssa looked down at the paper in her hand before folding it neatly and shoving it into the pocket of her jeans and smiled at Gardener. "I'll be sure to do that Mr. Wild," she said. She waved her hand at his bleeding arm. "Good luck with that," she added before walking calmly away, her hands in her back pockets and a small skip to her stride. Tonight, she decided, had been a rather good night.
