Alexis had checked into the Dorchester Hotel in London just before 4PM that afternoon. However, her Marisolla Ledeara induced bad luck had apparently followed her from the States. Her fight had been delayed, and then they'd been forced to change planes in Chicago. This meant her luggage was now safely in Brussels. The airline had at least given her a compensation to pick up some items. After a shopping trip to Herrod's, she was ready to dress for her meeting with Ryden Comptom.
With everything that had been going on in her life, Alexis hadn't felt like being herself. But tonight, she forced herself to put on a sleeveless, low cut magenta colored silk dress and a pair of black and magenta stelleto heels. She put on makeup and fixed her hair so that her gray streak hung against her left cheek.
Alexis made her way through the main streets of London to an older section. The Rose's Thorn was a vampire establishment where you could actually get real blood. She hadn't been there in years. Finding her way back was like going home again. The bar had been well hidden in a darkened building that no self respecting mortal would want to enter. Alexis let herself inside.
The room was dark and candlelit the way vampires liked. At the bar, she ordered a glass. Taking a sip made her relax. She was somewhat relieved to be in her own eliment with her own kind. As much as she hated to admit it, it was safe being back with the vampires.
Alexis took her drink and settled herself into a dark table in the corner. She had no idea who Ryden Compton was or what he looked like. She was hoping he'd find some way to identify her.

Ryden Compton was not one to be taken by surprise by anything and so by the time Alexis London arrived in London he knew all there was to know about her including the young human boy she had left behind in the states. Ryden made it his business to know everything about those who situated themselves into his life; it was not out of maltrust it was simply about self preservation and a common intrigue in others of his kind.
Ryden entered the Rose's Thorn his eyes immediately scanning the establishment. It had been some time since he had frequented the bar since many found his "picky eating habbits" to be a bit of a shut off he spent most of his time keeping to himself. He had dawned a set of black trousers with a crisp black shirt and jacket.
He spotted Alexis London in her seat immediately and he made his way over to her briskly slipping a white rose from his pocket and placing it in front of her.
"Ms. London it is a pleasure," Ryden stated with a slight nod of his head ebfore he took the seat in front of her.

Alexis was staring blankly across the room. For the moment, she couldn't pick out anyone she knew. That didn't surprise her. She felt so far removed from her own kind. Part of her missed the interaction. She needed to accept that fact that in her life, she needed vampire interaction. She couldn't entirely snub her own kind. And she needed someone to sympathize with her over how miserable their existance could be from time to time.
"Ms. London it is a pleasure,"....
Alexis was startled back to reality as both the words and a white rose cut through her thoughts. Looking up, her eyes feel on the man in front of her. She thought that if her heart had been beating, it would have stopped in this second. The vampire standing before her was stunning.
"Mr. Compton. The pleasure is entirely mine. I can't begin to tell you what this meeting means to me."
The words seemed wrong the second they were out of her mouth. They both knew she was there to ask for his help, but now she flat out sounded like she was begging. She gave him a soft smile as she tried to regain her composure.
"It's a honor to finally put a face with a name."

"The honor is all mine Ms. London," Ryden replied with a soft smile as he could very much sense the womans unease with her entire situation.
"I do appreciate you making the journey to me Ms. London and leaving your life at least for the moment behind. Now I do know how valuable your time is and if it involves Marisolla I also know how short time can be so please do share in what way I may help you?"
Ryden was not a man who wasted time speaking around subjects he had been around for far too long that he knew that for many how short time was...vampire or human.
It was many of times that Ryden regretted saving the woman once known as Mary Harper and he could not begin ti imagine what the cold woman had done now.

Alexis wished she could pull herself enough together enough to seriously speak to the man. There was something about him which highly intrigued him. She wanted to have further conversation. But this blasted mess with Marisolla had currently eaten up her life, and she wanted it back before she could make any new aquaintances.
"I needed to get out of New York. Mixing with your ex wife has made my life miserable." Alexis heard how bitter her words flowed. Poor man. He seemed so very reasonable....and to end up with this woman.....
He needs someone far more realistic.
"A friend of mine and I encountered Marisolla in my business." Alexis told him flatly. "She stabbed me with dead man's blood. Ever since then, my friend and I have been having a nightmarish time. We've had nothing but bad luck. It's awful. I have no idea what I did to her to make her angry, but apparently it was bad enough."
Alexis reached up to twirl her hair. Her anger at Marisolla seemed to be growing even though the woman was thousands of miles away.

"Ah yes I am afraid Marisolla has that effect on many a people these days...she wasn;t always like that I assure you," Ryden explained in an almost apologetic tone. There had been many a times where he had damned himself for turning the woman at all, and other times where he thought he owed it to the masses to destroy her himself.
The young vampire who was tending the area brought a fresh bottle of blood to the table along with 2 glasses and silently set them down and was back on her way as Ryden gave her a silent nod. He reached out and poured a glass for Alexis as he contiued to hear her speak and then poured himself one.
"A friend of mine and I encountered Marisolla in my business."
"The human boy you left tending to your shop in New York?...Before you protest I make it my busness to know a good deal about those that require my presence...it is a precaution and I hope you are not offended," Ryden explained with a slight nod of his head before he took a drink from the glass.
"Marisolla is easily angered...it truley takes nothing but a poor turn in the weather to set her off I am afraid. But has she done anything to you after your first meeting that warrants our meeting?...I am no longer her partner you know this correct?"

Alexis watched the liquid pour into the glass in front of her before reaching out her hand to pick it up. She swirled it thoughtfully as she considered her previous meeting with Marisolla Ledeara. But as Ryden Compton mentioned Killian, her eyes snapped up.
"Understandable." She set her eyes on the man, uncertain exactly how to read him since she now had no idea how much he knew of her. She felt a "don't associate with humans" lecture coming on and that was going to make her profoundly unhappy that she had made this trip.
"Not that I can directly blame her for, I suppose." Alexis admitted, putting her glass back down on the table. "But I really can't explain all the random bad incidents that I've had happen either. In 500 years, I've never seen such bad luck. Is your ex wife known to curse anyone? And yes, an acquaintance of mine told me you two were no longer together-which if I may say after my first meeting with the woman, I'm extremely happy for you."

Ryden drank from his glass of blood as Alexis spoke. There was truley no dignified way to go about it but he did so anyways and as he did he trued not to think on where the blood came from. Ryden had made it his practice to only feed upon the wicked but at certain times...times like these it became a required course of action to mix around his own kind.
"I nor anyone else under my guard shall harm him so there is no need to worry. Whom you usrrond yourself with is of your own choice," Ryden explained not wanting Alexis for a moment to think he would think poorly of her because of who she took company in. He himself had spent many hours in the company of humans and found them interesting.
"She has been very known to curse anyone and anything which she has felt has crossed her...it is all part of her poor temper. Though I regret to inform you that the only way to remove a curse she has placed upon you or your friend is by her directly."
Ryden paused for a moment thinking on how he could be of more help in Alexis's situation.
"Ms. London I can go ahead of you...speak to her if you wish? Or send a letter or be of an such service to you and your friend as possible...I feel at fault since she is made of my own doing," Ryden explained.

Alexis raised a surprised eyebrow as Ryden stated he wouldn't judge her for the situation.
"I appreciate that." She told him. "Killian's a good kid. And for that matter....one other fact you may be interested in: he knew Marisolla in Salem, when they were both human."
She settled back in her chair and sighed. She ran a hand through her hair and pulled it down over her face as she heard how to best remove the curse.
"Wonderful." Alexis sighed. Tears pricked her eyes and she had to turn away from the other vampire. She was not the crying type-least of all in front of a stranger. But she was so exhausted from this entire mess. The stress was quickly catching up to her. In all of her years, Alexis couldn't remember feeling so completely alone.
"I would be in your debt if you did." She tossed her hair back and turned to face Ryden Compton again. Picking up her glass, Alexis took a small sip. It seemed to calm her. She managed to regain some of her composure.
"I can't expect you to be inconvenienced for nothing. Just name your price and I'll meet it. I'll pay any amount to get this curse off of myself-and Killian. He could be killed if anything goes seriously wrong."
Alexis felt a tap on her shoulder and glanced up. The vampire who had been attending to their area stood next to her.
"There's a message for you at the bar." He pointed with one pale finger to where a young vampire girl stood. Alexis nodded and stood up.
"Excuse me, Mr. Compton."
Heading to the bar, Alexis looked curiously at the girl. The girl held out a piece of paper.
"It was left to you room at the hotel, Miss London." Alexis nodded her thanks and took the paper. Opening it, she read:
"Alexis it's Killian I have no idea where the hell you are or what you're doing but you need to get back...now!"
"Well, that's certainly a bad thing." Alexis sighed. "Thank you."
She turned and headed back to the table. She hated to leave Compton after troubling him, but it sounded like she was going to need it or there would be nothing to go home to.
"Mr. Compton, I'm terribly sorry. Killian just left me a voicemail that apparently something is very wrong at home."
Alexis grabbed a napkin from the table. Taking a pen from her purse, she wrote her address and a series of numbers onto it.
"I know it will be a terrible inconvenience, but if you would chose to come to the States, I would be more than happy to make the trip to Salem with you. This is my home address, as well as my credit card information. Charge all of your expenses to it."
Slipping the paper to him, Alexis brushed her hand over the man's shoulder.
"It was a pleasure to meet you. I appreciate your help in all of this more than I can say."
