"You're not the alone one," Killian grumbeled in regards to their luck as he stared down at his arms which were beat red and would no doubt blister eventually; the coffee had been hot as hell and had burnt like it too.
"So how do you call another vampire? Bat signal?" Killian asked with a poor attempt at a joke. He was too tired in truth his luck had been going from bad to worse by the second and it didn't take a rocket scientist to pin point that the same could be said about Alexis.
But he knew without a doubt that he couldn;t go back to Salem. He would rather whoever this Gardner was to rip out his throat then step foot back in that damned town. Even if as he had told Mary the people there weren;t the ones at fault the town was still the town and 9 lives or not Killian didn;t think he would ever be ok with it.
"...I didn't mean to snap at you," Killian muttered knowing it wasn't Alexis's fault...she hadn't killed him..that time.'
"Just don't wanna go back there is all."

Alexis looked at Killian's arm and shook her head.
"You need to get some ice on that." She sighed. "Seriously, maybe we should just get out of here. This place is getting dangerous."
Alexis didn't really want to move from her chair. Just standing could be a problem. She didn't trust gravity not to turn on her.
"Well, I would just call his cell phone." Alexis held up hers. "But since that's not going to work, I'll have to wait until I get it repaired. I'll call you after I talk to him."
"It's fine." Alexis brushed off Killian's attitude to the same exhaustion she was feeling. "I guessed that you didn't, but what's worse? Going back to that town or continuing on with your luck like this?"
Alexis didn't have time to finish the thought as suddenly the umbrella which had been covering the table toppled sideways from nowhere and cracked down on her shoulder.
"Son of a-." Alexis took a deep breath and shook her head at the waiter who had come rushing over. She carefully set the item back into it's proper position, but wasn't sure how well that would hold.
"I think I'll take my chances sleeping in coffins during the day from now on." She muttered, rubbing her now bruising shoulder.

Killian stared over at Alexis's damaged cell phone and finished out his own. It was now or never and Killian was starting to get beyond fed up with the current situation...the burning in his arm wasn't helping moral in the least bit.
"Use mine," Killian muttered as he tossed his cell phone on the table for Alexis to use.
"I don't know which ones worse yet...we'll see how many times my luck kills me before we make that tally...for now Salem still has one up on bad luck."
Killian was out of his chair the second the umbrella had taken a nose dive straight towards Alexis. This was starting to get "Final Destination" crazy. He grabbed his phone off the table and grabbed Alexis by the hand the next second and all but dragged her away from the diner.
"It might be us it might just be that place is friggin cursed," Killian muttered handing Alexis back his phone.
"Call the son of a bitch."

Alexis did not like how enthusiastic Killian was about calling Gardener. Clearly, he had no idea what he was dealing with-and she wished she didn't either.
She didn't have time to protest as Killian dragged her away from the table. Somehow, she was betting it wasn't the restaurant.
"Killian-." Alexis opened her mouth. But she closed it immediately. Killian wanted to deal with Mary just as much as she wanted to deal with Gardener.
"I'm going to call him-but when we get in touch with him, if he agrees to help us, you have to agree to do exactly what I say. Gardener is dangerous-very dangerous."
Alexis flipped open Killian's cell phone and punched in Gardener's number.
"Gardener. Alexis. I need to see you. Meet me at 518 Colton Avenue. That's my business address. As soon as you can."
Alexis hung up the phone and looked at Killian.
"Well, we might as well go wait for him."
Dealing with Gardener was about to make their luck ten times worse. Alexis shuddered at the thought.

"I'm going to call him-but when we get in touch with him, if he agrees to help us, you have to agree to do exactly what I say. Gardener is dangerous-very dangerous."
"Yeah whatever just call the son of a bitch already," Killian muttered his eyes scanning the streets around him as he half expected some out of control car to come flying out of control at them.
He stood silently next to Alexis as she made the call and he couldn;t help but feel relieved that the call had gone through and she had left a message and all had seemingly worked out in their favor you could say.
"Awesome; let's go before we get nailed by God knows what."
All Killian wanted was to get to the shop and get talking to this vampire guy and get whatever was cursing them off and on with his life and he would never...ever talk to another damned vampire again for as long as he lived...as many times as he lived.
