Though Anna and Castiel had been assigned to work together, Anna had been giving the other angel some space. She knew he was still not comfortable with her return and chose to accept it at the moment, as she herself wasn't that comfortable among her old comrades. It all felt weird; being back in heaven, having her grace back.
It had been a few days since they had last seeked each other out and she felt herself growing impatient. They had not made much progress in their plans for finding the other fallen and she knew Zachariah would be displeased if they didn't make some progress soon. She also was doubting his tolerance of her if she didn't contribute to their side soon enough.
Deciding enough was enough, Anna began to seek him out. An empty church has seemed like the sensible place to call for the other. It normally wasn't that hard to find his voice on what she now liked to call the 'angel radio'. It was a joke she kept to herself from when she had been human.
It did not take long to find something was amiss. It was taking far to long to locate Castiel. "Cas," she said aloud, searching. Frowning she tried again, "CASTIEL."
When she received no reply and did not see him appear she became worried. Was he off on a mission and had forgotten to tell her? Surely he or Zachariah would have said something.
Fighting down the ill feeling Anna sought out Zachariah next. "Zachariah," she called, facing the alter at the front of the church. The cross hung above it, still as a graveyard.

Zachariah had been expecting a status report from Castiel for some time, it was unusual for his subordinate to go so long without reporting something. The high-tiered angel had begun to consider searching for his brother when we heard his name being called through angelic channels - Anna.
Wasting no time Zachariah appeared behind the fallen angel in the church. Her worry was clearly shown in her stance, apparently he wasn't the only one to notice Castiel's disappearance.
"Anna," he said without preamble, "when was the last time you saw Castiel?"

It hadn't taken long for Anna to get reused to the silent appearances of her brethren. Turning to face Zachariah she crossed her arms. If it had been Uriel asking she most likely would have retorted with 'earth time or angel time' but she held her tongue in that respect. "I was about to ask you the same thing...sir." She gave a nod of acknowledgement to her higher-up.
"I thought he went to see Dean," she responded, dropping her arms by her side. "We were to talk soon of our new mission but it has been a few hours since we have been in direct contact. I tried calling him just before you and I can not find him anywhere...."
Anna's gaze moved from Zachariah to the cross behind her. "I am worried. I...feel he is in danger."
It was more than just the fact she could not reach him that Anna felt troubled. She felt as if his silence was somehow her fault. Had Zachariah secretly tasked her with watching out for her former subordinate? Had she failed him?

Zachariah felt the very human sensation of his stomach dropping when Anna said that she did not know where Castiel's location. This wasn't good, with all the fallen angels and high level demons running around it was very unlikely that Castiel had simply lost track of time.
"I'm getting the same feeling. Find the Winchesters, see if they know anything. I'll go to his vessel's family, he's been known to check up on them occasionally."

His vessel's family? Anna furrowed a brow, wondering what the family of the man Cas was possessing might have to do with his sudden silence but nodded anyways. The idea of Castiel showing any sort of feeling or care over the wellbeing of his vessel's family took her by a bit of surprise at first. THen again, Castiel had always been interesting to her. She felt her liking of the other angel increase with the knowledge.
"Yes sir," she said before disappearing leaving behind only the sound of flapping wings.
