Killian listened to the words that Mary Harper all but hurled back at regarding the people of Salem and he couldn’t help the faintest bit of anger which rose within him but he quickly buried it as allowing things that happened over 300 years ago get to him would be pointless now.
“We never stood for anything Mary…at least I never did,” Killian replied simply. He had died when he was 17 years old what could he have possibly stood for after all?
Her next string of words quickly caught his attention and Killian felt whatever calm he had tried to posses snap away. Mary Harper hadn’t been killed by the people of Salem she had been saved…by a vampire but a save was a save as far as Killian was concerned.
“…They never killed you…you didn’t suffer...you weren’t tortured and murdered in front of your family… So who are you to dish out revenge against a death you never had?!”
Killian took several steps towards the woman till he was directly in front of her his eyes drilling back at her. He knew it was foolish to take on a vampire but what was the worse she would…kill him? Yeah that wouldn’t leave a lasting mark besides this life had started off sucking any how.

Marisolla saw the hint of anger which flashed through the boy. She could practically smell it.
"You didn't stand for anything? You didn't stand for being a good son to your parents? A good husband someday to a good wife? A good man before God? You didn't stand for any of those things, Killian? Things which you were nowhere near permitted to accomplish."
Marisolla paced back to the other vampire-Alexis's body. She dropped down to her knees and pulled a purple jewel on a black beaded cord from the woman's neck. Standing up, she twirled it between her fingers. She needed something to play with.
"To say I didn't suffer," she responded to his words, "is ludicris. I spent weeks-months-chained in that dungeon. I took the shame that my husband had ran away from me and that if I made it out with my life, then I'd have nothing to go back to."
Marisolla's eyes gleamed. She kept them focused hard on Killian and gave him a small smile.
"I have every right to dish out revenge for myself. And for you. And for Esther. I have the power now to avenge my fallen neighbors. And you can sure as hell bet I'm going to take it."

“…I didn’t stand for anything because none of it ever happened. The only thing I stand for is an example of Esther’s magic…that’s it. Had it not been for her I would have slipped into nothing more then another witch trial.”
Killian glared at the woman as she dropped down beside Alexis and pulled a beaded cord away from Alexis’s neck. He wanted to check on Alexis once more but he knew Mary was nowhere near done just yet.
He wouldn’t belittle her “suffering” even though he thought it was utter bullshit. Everyone had a right to suffer in their own way he supposed even if it wasn’t a physical pain.
“Yeah well…I’ve still got you beat on that block,” Killian snapped.
“You can dish out all the revenge you want for yourself but don’t drag me or Esther into your little game of revenge 300 years late. I don’t need your revenge,” Killian growled shoving pass the woman back towards Alexis’s side. He knelt down beside her attempting to shake her into consciousness once more but it did not seem to be having any sort of effect on the vampire.
Killian was not a fan of the idea of Mary Harper bringing the world of Salem and all that he had manage to forget over the last 300 years crashing back down around him. It was another life…literally. He wasn’t even the same boy who had died in the square in Salem and he had no desire to go back to that place either physically or in his mind.
They had killed him but before that they had done something that no-one not even Esther had been aware of. They had killed the only woman Killian had ever loved…truly loved without question or gain.
Esther O’Kavley had all but fallen into his world but the years he had spent with her had caused him to care for the woman far more then he had ever expected; he had loved her and they had murdered her and that was the piece of Salem Killian had never managed to forget.

Alexis woke up. She was hoping that the entire situation had been some strange dream and when she came to, she'd be in bed with Jon and everything would passed.
But now as she slowly opened her eyes and the face of Killian Reynolds came into focus, she realized that for the second time in a month she'd been injected with dead man's blood. At the moment, she was too weak to be angry, but in a few days that would certainly change.
"What....the.....hell?" She forced her eyes to focus on both Killian and Marisolla.

Marisolla disliked the fact that Killian was turning down her offer. She realized she was clutching Alexis's necklace in her hand. She slipped it into her pocket for safe keeping.
She leaned back against the counter and observed as Killian proceeded to attempt to wake the still unconcious vampire. As the woman regained conciousness, Marisolla was less than enthused. Granted, she hadn't wanted to kill the other vampire, but she was enjoying seeing the woman unconcious.
Still fingering Alexis's necklace, Marisolla had a sudden thought. She took a few steps forward and rested her hand on Killian's shoulder.
"Glad you weren't out for long. We just needed a few minutes to talk." Marisolla hurriedly pulled a few hairs from the back of Killian's shirt and slipped them into the pocket with the necklace. She was going to need them as soon as she got back to Salem.

Killian's eyes widened slightly as Alexis began to move ever so slowly and her eyes finally opened and met with his.
"Alexis!" He knew he was probably a bit too loud for her liking but he was more then glad that she had finally begun to come around veen if she did still manage to look like death warmed over...if that was possible for a vampire.
"She injected you with soemthing," Killian attempted to explain as Alexis's question filtered through the air. He would have liked to forget the fact that Mary Harper was there entirely but as he felt her hand rest upon his shoulder he knew that was impossible.
Killian jerked himself away from the woman's touch his eyes turning to lock with hers for a moment as he shot her a glare that spoke much louder then words ever could before turning back to Alexis.
"You ok?"

Alexis didn't even want to consider trying to move herself from the floor. Her body seemed to ache with every movement. Clinton was going to kill her. This was easily going to put her down for another week.
"Dead man's blood." Alexis set her eyes on the other vampire. She watched curiously for a moment as Marisolla seemed to collect a few strands of hair from Killian's shirt. Odd, but Alexis didn't have the mental strength to sort it out now.
"Do I look ok?" She growled in answer to Killian's question. Instantly, she bit her tongue. It wasn't his fault this had happened, and he was trying to be nice about it.
"Get her out of here."

Marisolla had what she needed. She was now carrying personal articles from both parties, and she had information on Killian Reynolds.
"No matter." She smiled, pleased with the damage that she had done and was about to return to Salem to do. "I have a train to catch. Don't get up, Alexis darling, I'll show myself out."
Marisolla strolled calmly to the door. She kept wrapping her fingers around Alexis's necklace, and the small strands of Killian's hair. She had a busy night ahead of her. Killian had successfully managed to fall into her Salem revenge category. Well, maybe not necessarily her revenge, but her annoyance categoryl.

Killian kept his eyes trained on Alexis as she seemed to struggle with just being conscious.
“Dead man’s blood?”
Killian had no idea what that meant save for the fact that apparently it had put Alexis out for the count.
“So a garlic pizza you can do but a dead guy gives you the ax? Learn something new every day,” Killian stated with a slight shrug.
Killian’s face fell slightly as Alexis snapped back at him; he had only been trying to help the vampire out but he was quickly reminded why it was he had spent the last 300 years living for his own well being instead of others.
“Right…my mistake,” Killian snapped back equally as harsh as he turned back to Mary Harper who was deciding to take her leave.
“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” Killian muttered as he watched the woman walk to the door. He would be the first to admit he was glad to have her gone; she had brought with her far too many things that he had no desire to deal with at all.

Alexis made a poor attempt at lifting her head from the floor. It felt like it had been filled with fluid and was impossible to hold up. She let it continue to rest on the floor as the other vampire let herself out of the shop.
"Sorry." She glanced over at Killian. "I know you're just trying to help."
She was going to have to force herself to get well quickly. She didn't have any more time to lay around. She had things to do.
"You want to give me the abriviated version of that meeting?" Alexis made another attempt at sitting up pushing herself up with her arms. Her arms shook and she barely caught herself before collapsing back onto the floor.

Killian looked back down at Alexis once Mary had shown herself out of the shop. He had not the faintest idea how he was supposed to help a vampire who had been posioned. In truth as exciting as his own existence was meant to be he had very little knowledge of the supernatural. He had left whatever skills he had as a witch back in Salem especially since they had brought him nothing but trouble.
"Let's get you somewhere aside from the floor before we do the whole sharing and caring thing yeah?" Killian asked as he gripped Alexis under the arms and helped to hoist her up to her feet; he figured she would be for the most part dead weight so he had prepared himself as best he could for that.
Half dragging half carrying her Killian set her down upon an old looking ornate couch that Alexis had in the corner of the shop. He figured it would do for the moment till they could attemtp to get her hoisted up the stairs and into her bed.
"Any better?" He asked slightly concerned as he looked down at the vampire...she looked like hell.

Jon had been gone taking care of a few things, now he was just glad to be back with Alexis. He knew as soon as he parked across the street something was wrong, the sign said closed but a woman was walking down the street and he saw movement inside. Thinking the worst he grabbed a pistol from under his seat and set out to figure out what was going on. He could see through the door as a man inside was lifting Alexis and putting her on a couch.
Why the hell isn't she fighting back?!?
That was when he saw the same symptoms she had inflicted on herself only weeks before.
Dead man's blood...
Jon was already opening the door and moving inside before he completed the thought. At the moment all he registered was something was wrong with Alexis and there was a strange man standing over her. Every second moving faster and slower at the same time, his body and everything around him sluggish but his mind raced at everything he could do to protect Alexis. He saw his hand drawing the pistol from his waistband as his eyes focused on the frontsight that was now aimed at the back of the blond man's head.
"I will give you less than two seconds to move your hands away and get down on the floor or you won't even have time to register a last thought."
His mind fired off a ballista of emotions, fear over his lover's fate, hatred and rage at whoever had done it and a raw, cold feeling of dread he always got when drawing a weapon.
"Alexis if you're ok some information on what's going on would be greatly appreciated right now."

Killian had no idea what else he could do for Alexis; technically he was still a bit clouded on what exactly had happened to her aside from the fact she had been injected with dead man's blood.
"Is there anything you need? Do you eat or drink normal stuff or is it pretty much a....rare diet for your type?"
He was sort of glad for the distraction of Alexis being ill at the moment it allowed him to not have to think of Mary Harper and everything she had brought along with her; though Killian was rather certain that he could only live in ignorance for so long.
"I'm gonna get a..." his words immediately caught off and Killian froze as his eyes widened slightly as the new voice filtered through Alexis's shop.
"I will give you less than two seconds to move your hands away and get down on the floor or you won't even have time to register a last thought."
.....It was offical this life completely sucked.
Killian's eyes locked with Alexis for a moment as he pulled his hands away from her and held them so that the man behind them could see them.
"Not to argue with the dude with the gun...but I was trying to help her," Killian attempted to explain keeping his vocie even and as calm as he could. Again it wasn't the fear of dying that kept him in order it was the need to conserve the lives he had left.
"Little help here Lex," Killian grumbeled as he knelt on the ground next to Alexis his back still to the stranger.

Alexis's barely registered as Killian moved her from the floor to the couch. Somewhere in the back of her head, her mind screamed that this couch was way too old to be using for such means. An hour ago, she probably would have protested, but now she couldn't find the energy.
"No, pretty rare." She murmured in response to his question. Suddenly, her eyes went to movement behind Killian. Alexis had never been so relieved to see anyone in her life.
"It's....." She paused for a moment, attempting to sort out the words. She really hated dead man's blood. And twice in one month? This was just plain ridiculous.
"It's not his fault." She whispered, realizing that her head was falling onto her shoulder and she could do nothing to stop it. "He....was helping. It was.........her."
The other vampire's name completely escaped her. Trying to remember it was way too much effort.

Jon lowered the gun as the adrenaline in his body began to dissipate.
"Her? That woman that just left?"
He knelt down by Alexis's side and kissed her lightly on her forehead. He could see the mark on her neck from where she had been injected and from the look it hadn't been gentle. He slid the pistol back into his waistband and gingerly picked Alexis up.
He cradled her close to him, his mind racked with worry for her. He stood up holding her in his arms and made to go upstairs to get her in bed. He turned back to the younger man behind him.
"You coming or would you rather stay down here in case she comes back?"
Jon carried Alexis up to her apartment, just as before he took her to her bedroom and helped her into bed. He brushed a few loose strands of hair back and kissed her. He would tear that woman apart with his bare hands.
How in the hell did she know to do that? What the hell is she?
He left Alexis lying there and closed the bedroom door behind him. He moved to find the other man and figure out what happened.
"You sit, tell me exactly what happened and don't think about hiding anything."
Jon sat down in a chair across the room to hear the events of what he missed.
