The Demon that had possessed Dean Winchester, brutally tortured and all but killed the young Sam Winchester had vacated his chosen body as soon as he discovered Sam Winchester still had enough strength within himself to complete his exorcism. Leviathan couldn’t very well have his plans cut short well before his time was due, oh no that would not have worked at all.
As soon as he had chosen his new “host”, made himself at home and managed to acquire another hold upon the Winchester’s whereabouts. Leviathan set his sights back upon his original goal at hand. He knew Sam Winchester to be weak, that Dean was now questioning his own existence in this world and as Leviathan made his way slowly and determinedly down the corridors of Lawrence County Hospital he smiled brightly at the many doctors and nurses who passed his way.
Ok, so the host he chose wasn’t exactly your run of the mill kind of doctor type person. The ripped jeans, many tattoos and less than fetching torn shirt did nothing to add to his charade physically, but Hell….he could work any disguise to his advantage.
Making a stop outside of the room he knew Sam Winchester to be in, Leviathan stood slightly on tip toes and peered in through the single window in one of the double doors. Allowing a broad, satisfied smile to cross his face, Leviathan pushed his way into the room and immediately made his way over to the female doctor that stood checking over Sam’s vitals. Placing a hand upon her shoulder and staring back at her lightly, Leviathan eased her towards the door and kept his voice calm and low “You look tired Doctor…..Cameron” he whispered, hastening a glance at her name badge and moving her out of the doorway and into the halls beyond “You get some rest….I can take over from here.” He finished softly, his eyes never leaving hers.
The small nod of assertion and the quick retreat of the young doctor, caused Leviathan’s smile to simply grow and as he chanced a quick glance up and down the hallway and closed the door to the room, he turned the lock and stood as if in deep thought for a few moments. “No salt lines….No Devil’s Trap Sammy Boy….” He mused quietly, his back still to the young man and his eyes piercing out into the hallways beyond the door “Your family must care less than I thought….” He added spitefully, finally turning upon the spot and making his way over to the side of Sam’s bed.
His black eyes flashed instantly as he stared down at the now unconscious Winchester brother and he cocked his head slightly “Dean sure did do a number on you didn’t he….do you think whoops will cover it?” he sang, his hand rifling through the pockets of his jeans and retrieving a small packet of dried plant matter. Making his way over to the sink in the far corner of the room and snatching up one of the small drinking vessels beside it, Leviathan went about filling it with water, muttering several incantations and in the end snapping half of the roots into the mixture.
“African Dream Root Sammy Boy….” He whispered thoughfully, his eyes never leaving the concoction before him and his voice carrying spitefully across the room. “It’s one of my most prized possessions, it allows me access to the most deepest….darkest inner workings of a persons psyche and it gives me that access even against that persons will.” He mused, slowly stirring the mixture and turning back to Sam.
“You see Sammy…we didn’t have much time to talk the first time we met….Dean saw fit to interupt us on more than one occasion and if there is anything I hate…it is rude participants in a conversation that does not concern them….” As Leviathan closed the gap between himself and Sam, he stood directly beside the young man’s bed and simply stared down on him. “You see Sammy….there is something you don’t know about me….I would tell you now, but Hell, I like an audience when I deliver punchlines and well, forgive me but you’re not really in the ‘up and at ‘em’ state of mind that I would like….have no fear though Sammy…” he hissed, snatching a firm hold of Sam’s arm and plunging a nearby scalpel into the crook of Sam’s elbow, the small trickle of blood that stemmed down was easily caught into the mixture he had previously made up and he swilled it around quickly. “Cos I will just come to you…” he spat.
“Knock, knock Sammy Boy….” He breathed, drinking the mixture back in one gulp and sitting himself down quickly into the seat beside Sam’s bed. His eyes immediately slammed closed and he waited patiently for the dream root to take effect.

Sam Winchester had lain upon the white sheets of his hospital bed completely still his pale complexion almost mimicking the color of the sheets. He was totally still save for the slight rise and fall of his chest as the machines continued to help his broken body breath and fight to stay alive. If he had been awake he would have felt the pain and the anxiety and everything else that came with being on the brink of death and he also would have been more then aware of the demon which had just entered the room…the demon which was all but responsible for him being in the room.
But Sam Winchester had buried himself deeply within his own mind as his body had slipped into a coma. The truth was it was more then likely the most bit of peace he had received in more then a few weeks and his body would need the rest if he was to survive to even see the end of the deal he had made with the Crossroads Demon. Though the depths of Sam’s mind wasn’t dark and he didn’t cease to exist on the contrary he did exist in a world that was an entire polar opposite of the one he would normally call home.
The light yellow two story cottage style house sat behind a crisp green lawn which was gated in by a perfect white picket fence. The weather outside was perfect blue skies and there didn’t seem to be a thing wrong with the entire neighborhood. It was a scene fresh out of the perfect world of the 50’s no yelling or danger or demons or anything dark or ominous and it was most certainly not the Winchester’s way of life but it was Sam’s dream way of life.
Sam walked his way up the perfectly spaced stepping stones and pushed open the front door to the house the smell of a home cooked meal rushing up to meet him immediately. He didn’t know how he knew she was there he just knew it.
“Jess I’m home,” he called out setting down his briefcase upon the chair which sat next to the door as he made his way into the kitchen where just was working on preparing dinner. She looked perfect and exactly in place with her hair bundled neatly into a pony tail and a perfect smile upon her face. Setting down the utensils Sam immediately felt her warm lips press gently against his as he wrapped her in his arms the sensation of her so close spiraling through him. It was a feeling he had been starving for months and he relished in the connection with her.
He gently leaned her against the wall his hands trailing under the soft fabric of her shirt as his lips refused to leave hers and a groan pushed through his lips as his body craved to be with her and kissing her all the more. Their connection was shattered as the back door to the house slammed open and two kids one little boy and one girl came bounding into the kitchen causing Sam and Jess to pull away from each other.
“Mommy! Daddy! When is dinner?” the kids cried wrapping themselves around their parents legs.
No sooner could Sam answer was there a knock at the front door and both children unlocked themselves from their parents and went yelling into the hallway smiles plastered on their faces.
“Uncle Dean is here!” they both seemed to yell in unison as they fumbled at the front knob.
“Jonathon and Charity Winchester no running in the house!” Jess called after them following after the kids to help them unlock the door.
Sam made his way into the hallway just as his brother and his fiancé Carmen made their way into the house.
“Hey Sammy I see you let the gremlins out again,” Dean replied with a smile as he hoisted Charity into the air.
“Dinner is set up on the table if you guys wanna sit down John and Mary should be here any minute I just got off the phone with Mary when they were going to leave the house,” Jess replied with a smile as she gestured towards the dinning room.
Sam, Dean, Jess, Carmen and the kids made their way into the dinning room everyone taking their spots as there was a knock on eh door.
“Grandma and Grandpa!” the children yelled again once more shooting up from their chairs and taking off towards the hallway. Dean managed to catch Charity and set her down in her seat while John bolted from the room and in a couple of moments the voice of John and Mary Winchester filtered throughout the house.
“We’re in here,” Jess called out as she set out the food on the table and took her seat next to Sam.
John and Mary came into the room with Jonathon running in quickly after his grandparents and plopping down into his seat with a smile.
“Hi mom,” Sam said with a smile as Mary Winchester made her way over to her two boys and placed a gentle kiss upon both of their heads before taking a seat next to John.
“Now that we’ve got everybody lets eat I’m starved,” Dean said with a smile as everyone began to pass around the food and drinks.

Leviathan had stood in the only corner of the room offering even a small semblance of shadow and he watched the scene that played out before him with an all too disgusted look plastered across his face. His thoughts conveyed silently from his eyes as the very life and wishes he knew Sam Winchester to hold dear to his heart were acted out before him. The mocking disdain that Sam could even hope to gain more of a life than the one he had dealt made way for the grimace of disgust that played across his face as “Uncle Dean” made his appearance and Mommy Winchester all whole and undead entered the cosey, stifling scenario.
His body morphed into a blackened shadow, wispy to the naked eye and he moved silently, effortlessly over to the table and remained motionless behind Sam. “Methinks….there is a few….minor, only teeny tiny errors in continuity in this movie Sammy Boy….” He conveyed silently into the mind of the Winchester brother sat before him, began to move gradually about the table.
Stopping briefly, invisibly behind Mary Winchester and watching with a cocked head as she went about the actions any proud mother would and he smirked invisibly back at Sam. “Mommy dearest for one….” He whispered, moving away from her without a single word nor action and stopping briefly behind Jess “This little madam….well, see, this little madam….we all know for sure that she doesn’t belong here, we all know where she resides now….” He spat.
“Which brings me on to the rugrats….” He mused, floating silently and effortlessly over to the young children, one of which seemed intent upon causing ructions wherever she went. “How can one be born…if ones mother is a crispy critter?” he mused viciously, allowing one hand to trail gently over the hair of the young girl and allowing his eyes to find “Uncle Dean” and “Grandpa John”.
“Now these two….” He mused, stopping directly between the pair of them and allowing his eyes to flick between them both “These two are the biggest malfunction in this here scene….where is the hatred, the pain they cause each other. Dean’s inbred desire to prove to dear Daddy that he is someone to be proud of and not just a third wheel within the Winchester clan…” he whispered, as he leaned forwards and placed a gun at each of the hands of both Dean and John. Leviathan’s eyes snapped quickly over to the young lady introduced as Carmen and he shook his head in disgust “And don’t even get me started on her…but then we all know what happens to the women in the Winchester's lives...” he spat viciously.
Making his way slowly back towards Sam and standing behind him, Levithian’s eyes filtered once more over the people surrounding the dinner table and he smirked happily “Places everyone….” He whispered softly, and watched as the gathered people seemingly sat to attention. “And….action….” he hissed.
What happened next would prove to be startling, even in Levithian’s eyes and he had seen plenty in his time. The stench of burning flesh and the screams of agony that fell from Mary Winchester, Jess and Carmen as their bodies seemingly spontaneously combusted at the table reached him first and he watched with wide eyed amusement as the flames that engulfed their bodies took over completely. His eyes immediately shot to the two children and without second thought, not rhyme or reason, he cocked his head slightly and watched as, as if in unison, their necks simply snapped of their own accords and their bodies tumbled over and on to the dinner plates laid out before them. “Final act boys….” He cooed spitefully, watching with an all too obvious air of amusement as both Dean and John retrieved the guns that lay before them on the table, turned, faced one another and simply shot a bullet into the very center of the others forehead.
“That’s a wrap!” he called out finally and with a simple snap of his fingers, his body took on its solid form and the room that he and Sam now found themselves alone in was plunged into a semi-sense of darkness and only the sound of the flames that still licked over the bodies of Mary, Jess and Carmen could be heard. “Good morning starshine….” He hissed, sitting himself down heavily beside Sam and smiling viciously back at him “The world says hello….again….” he mused, his eyes immediately snapping into their blackened form.

Sam couldn’t help the smile which spread across his face or the way it felt to have everyone sitting down to dinner like a normal happy family; everything was just how it was supposed to be. He looked over at Jessica briefly as she handed him a bowl which he took from her and kissed her gently on the lips looking back into her eyes once more. She was perfect and it was all perfect.
Setting down the bowl next to him Sam reached out to grab the silverware he had sent toppling to the floor. As he leaned over and picked it up he looked back at the table confusion clouding his eyes as it seemed as if everyone at the table save for him had snapped into attention and in the very next second Sam Winchester’s world shattered around him.
Sam’s eyes grew wide with terror as he watched as Jessica, his mother, and Carmen burst into flame their screams piercing through him as the flames engulfed their entire bodies and scorched everything around them.
“No!” Sam yelled lunging towards Jessica who was the nearest to him but he had to pull back as her entire body was consumed in fire. His eyes snapped to his dad and brother and the kids and he watched in stark terror as he watched the necks of both of his children snap and they slumped dead upon the table. As the sound of the snapping cracked through the room Sam jerked backwards his eyes unable to tear away from the gruesome and painful scene in front of him.
“NO!!!!” Sam screamed as he watched Dean and John grab for the guns but he was too late and blood splattered across him as his brother and his father killed themselves. Tears of terror and pain streaked down Sam’s face as his breathing turned frantic and his whole body shook in emotional agony over what had just happened.
He froze as a voice filtered through the room with a phrase he remembered all to clearly. Sam turned on the spot his face splattered with blood and ash as he stared back at the demon next to him. There was nothing he could do or grab this world wasn’t equipped for demon fighting. Sam tore himself from the chair and out of the room towards the front door. He yanked at the front door only to find it locked and he turned on the spot thinking maybe just maybe he could have been slightly prepared and he bolted up the stairs towards his “study” and began desperately tearing through shelves and drawers looking for anything to help him.

Leviathan had sat himself at the table and simply stared back at Sam as the full range of emotions that slammed through the young man were more then evident behind his eyes. A look of stark amusement crossed Leviathan’s face as the youngest Winchester tore himself from the table and began to struggle with the front door of the house. The sounds of defeat and the retreating footsteps that resounded up the stairs did not even move Leviathan into any sort of action and instead he leaned forwards slightly and snatched up one of the potatoes that still lie within the bowls in the center of the table.
Munching away at it happily and glancing over at the now charred remains of Jessica, Leviathan raised his hand slightly and shot her an all too impressed look “You cook well sweetheart…” he mumbled quietly, finishing off the food with a single bite and laughing back at himself “That totally had an unintended double meaning to it….” He chuckled.
The sounds of frantic searching around upstairs grated upon him slightly and as he raised his eyes to the ceiling above and bought his hand up slightly, he called out loudly into the house “Sammy Boy! It’s rude to keep your guest waiting and we have words to get to!” he spat and with a single resounding click of his fingers, Leviathan watched amused as Sam Winchester appeared suddenly back at his seat at the table.
“Much better….” He mused, reaching out and offering Sam one of the potatoes. “I can see why you thought her perfect….these are to die for….” He hissed spitefully.

Sam had torn through everything in the small office which had served as his home office. A diploma from lay school hung on the wall along side pictures of him and Jessica and the kids and everyone he loved…everyone who was down stairs dead.
“Come on,” Sam silently pleaded desperately ripping through papers and books and everything and anything around him it all serving to be pointless. Sam shuddered as he heard the demon’s words which ripped through the house to the upstairs and before he could even process what had happened he found his hands empty and himself re-seated at the carnage ridden dinner table.
His breathing hitched as his eyes inadvertently took in the sight of it all once more. His tear filled eyes latched on to the demon and nothing but anger shown through them as he stared back into the black pitted eyes. Sam shoved himself away from the table once more and walked backwards away from the demon his eyes never leaving its.
“Om…” Sam’s eyes clouded with confusion as he knew what he wanted to do and he knew how to do it but the words didn’t exists for him. He had learned that exorcism years ago and yet he had no idea what it was.
“Om..omney…omni…” his breathing grew slightly more panicked as Sam realized he didn’t even have the ability to use his words as a weapon to help him. Sam stopped his panicked mental search for the words and backed himself away from the demon till his back hit the wall his eyes never left the face of the man seated at the table though surrounded by the bodies of his family.

Leviathan stared back at Sam Winchester, the amusement ever evident upon his face as the young man’s eyes gazed over the carnage around them and the realization that he was stuck in his very own nightmare sunk in.
His eyes never left him, even as he pushed himself away from the table and backed his way slowly away from him. The stumblings over the beginning of the exorcism he was so desperate to say amused him even further and as he finally admitted defeat and backed himself up into the corner completely, Leviathan stood up from the table and walked slowly, purposefully over to Sam.
“Sammy Boy….” He mused quietly “Hate to break it to you, but even if you could remember those dang words….they wouldn’t hold any harm over me….this is my sandpit and what I say goes….I make the rules and you follow like a good little lap dog….do we share an accord?” he mused, closing the gap between the pair of them entirely and smirking back into his face, his black eyes drilling into Sam’s fear filled ones.
“Let me give you a demonstration…” he hissed, standing up straighter and smiling broadly back at Sam. “Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica, in nomine et virtute Domini Nostri Jesu + Christi, eradicare et effugare a Dei Ecclesia, ab animabus ad imaginem Dei conditis ac pretioso divini Agni sanguine redemptis….” Leviathan’s eyes drilled into Sam’s as he recited the exorcism word for word, each sentence spitting from him with nothing but vengeance.
“Argh! Oh my! It burns! It is a hideous….hideous….burning, painful….pain!” he cried out dramatically and slammed his hands to his temples. Stopping his act as abruptly as it began, Leviathan snapped his eyes back onto Sam and cocked his head gently to the side “Are we ready to talk now….Sammy Boy?” he spat viciously, ripping his hands through the front of Sam’s shirt and dragging him towards the seat before slamming him down into it. “Good!” he growled, seating himself down beside Sam and smiling back at him.

Sam's eyes clouded in confusion as the demon explained that even if Sam had been able to remember the exorcism it wouldn't have done any good. None of that made sense he should have been able to know the exorcism but then again he really wouldn't have to in this time and place.
"But...but you don't belong here," Sam whispered as the demon laid out the rules for what was supposed to have been his dream or whatever he was having based on where he actually was back in the "real" world. Sam pushed himself further into the corner trying to get away from the demon who was currently spitting out an exorcism but before he could even process anything he was being yanked back towards the table towards the chair but more importantly towards the bodies of everyone he had ever loved.
"Stop!" Sam cried struggeling against the dmeon's grip as he was slammed down into the chair. His eyes grew wide as they locked on to the smoldering form of Jessica and the stench of burnt flesh was beginning to fill the room cause a few dry heaves to push their way through. As soon as the demon released his hold on Sam he bolted from the chair once more and instead of trying to front door which he knew was locked he made his way towards the kitchen. He yanked on the glass back door to find it locked as well.
His eyes desperately searched the kitchen and he pulled one of the chairs from the samll cafe table and smashed it into the glass door shattering the glass.

As Sam tore his way from the table once more and made his way out towards the kitchen, Leviathan sat deathly still and simply allowed his fingers to tap lightly upon the table before him. The sound of shattering glass caused his eyes to roll of their own accord and he finally wrenched himself away from the dining room and descended upon Sam within seconds.
Ripping his fingers through the young mans hair and tearing him backwards, Leviathan span Sam on the spot and stared viciously into his eyes. His own blackened pits pierced back into Sam’s and he allowed a sly grin to cross his lips. “I can see that I’m not gonna get you to sit on your ass for more than two seconds am I?” he hissed, his voice piercing the room around him and he wrenched Sam along towards the hallway “No matter….I got something I wanna show you anyways…” he muttered quietly.
Stopping briefly and yanking Sam to a halt in front of him, Leviathan rammed his hand over the young man’s mouth and shook his head slowly “Hush now….” He spoke softly, the malice still coursing through every word “We’re in a house of God….” He added quietly, spinning Sam upon the spot and kicking the backs of his knees so that he tumbled to the floor beneath him.
“Dear old Dean Winchester….never can be alone….ever the dependent one….” He mused, his eyes gazing out over the small chapel before the pair of them and he wrenched Sam’s head so that his eyes lay directly upon the form of Dean Winchester sat huddled at the back, wrapped within an embrace with a pretty little blond thing. “Already over his half dead brother and ready to replace him with someone just as girly and whiny….” He added spitefully “Let’s get a good listen shall we?” he hissed and immediately snapped his fingers together.
As the echo of his movement finished resounding about the small chapel, the voice of Dean moved in to replace it and Leviathan smiled broadly down on Sam.
“He will pull through, but only so I can say goodbye…. So we can say….screw it to the doctors, drive our half beaten asses over to Vegas, score some big wins at the craps table and have some cheesy Elvis impersonator marry us…Or we can say screw it to the doctors, drag our half beaten asses round here looking for a priest dude and do the deed right here and now. I don’t have the money or gas for Vegas….Sam is dead in a month…so as long as you can cook meals the size of Texas…I’ll be a happy guy…”
Levithan stared down at his hands and fidgeted with his fingernails as the voice of Dean Winchestr pierced the air around the pair of them. Of course Levi would never admit to Sam that he may have chopped and changed part of this and part of that, but Hell…anything to keep the charade up.
“Oh dear Sammy Boy….” He mused quietly “Looks like the puppy got left out in the cold so soon after Christmas….” He added with a small pout.

Sam had amde a move towards the shattered door trying to get as much space between him and the demon as he possibly could but he also knew they were stuck in a dream and there was only ever so far you could run.
Sam felt pain rip into his scalp as the demon yanked him backwards away from the door and back towards the hallway. His hands clawed and pulled at the grip the demon held on him as he tried to break away once more but he didn't have any such luck.
Sam's eyes grew wide as the demon clamped its hand voer his mouth and he looked around inf consuion as they no longer stood in the hallway of "his" house but in a small chapel. Sam slammed into the ground with a small grunt as the demon kicked him down. He pushed himself up slightly until his eyes caught sight of Dean sitting in the back with someone he never would have guessed to see again Layla.
"Dean..." Sam stopped speaking though as Dean's words filtered throughout the samll chapel. His eyes scruntched in confusion as he ehard the words his brother spoke to Layla. This wasn't right...this wasn't Dean. Sam pushed himself up till he was seaed on his knees his eyes never leaving that of his brother as the demon's words filled the air around him.
"No...this isn't true he wouldn't just leave me here I..." but the hate filled words and the points the demon had made while he was using Dean slammed through him and he wondered if maybe jsut maybe his brother had found his way out.
"Dean?" Sam whispered pushing himself up and on to his feet and taking several steps towards his brother and Layla hoping some how they could hear him.

Leviathan tore his eyes away from his hands and latched them onto Sam as the young man reacted rather predictably to what he had seen and heard. Twisting his neck slightly and gazing back at Dean and Layla at the back of the small chapel, Levi cocked his head to the side and sighed deeply. “Oh but Sammy….you just saw and heard it with your own eyes and ears….” he mused quietly, turning back round to Sam with a small smile plastered across his face. “Dear old Dean….moving on already, even whilst his beloved little shit of a brother rots within his hospital bed….”
A look of sheer amusement crossed Leviathan’s face as Sam pushed his way from the floor and began to walk slowly over to his brother. Making his way behind the young Winchester, his eyes drilling continuously into the back of the young man’s head, Levi pushed his way past him and stopped directly behind Dean. “What do you think it is about Dean….Sammy Boy?” he mused quietly, staring down on his brother and eying the young lady sat beside him curiously. “He seems to be rather….inept at being on his own. Forever striving to be wanted…needed…loved…” he breathed softly, running his fingers undetected through Layla’s hair.
“Do you think maybe Sammy….had you not left him, had you stayed with him, doted upon him like he craved, instead of going off to school….maybe, just maybe….he would give a flying crap about you now?” he whispered spitefully.
The sound of a cell phone chiming to indicate a new message rang throughout the small chapel and Levi stepped up behind Sam and watched intently as Dean firstly listened to the message relayed to him and quickly discard his phone back in his pocket. “That Sammy Boy….was dear old Daddy letting Dean know that precious, precious puppy Winchester is in a coma…close to death, knocking on Hell’s door as we speak and yet look…” he hissed and placed himself down beside Dean “Where is the concern? Where is the love? Can you feel the love in the room Sammy Boy? Cos I certainly can’t….” he spat.
Levi fished about in his pocket slightly and bought out a long bladed silver dagger that he ran slowly through his fingers and stood back up to stand directly in front of Sam. “Do you want to wake up Sammy Boy? Do you want this….nightmare….to be over?” he breathed softly, his black eyes tearing into Sam’s and showing nothing but hatred.

Sam’s footsteps were soundless as he made his way over to his brother and Layla. He stood a few feet away just looking back at his brother and the blonde woman they had met so many months ago in Nebraska. His mind was reeling a mile a minute; he couldn’t be upset at Dean obviously with as much as his brother had given up for him but at the same time in the same respect he couldn’t help but know that deep down the demon was right and his brother resented him and resentment had somewhere along the line turned to hatred.
“Dean…” he whispered once more his voice so low he barely heard it.
Sam’s eyes shot up to the demon as it asked him if he thought if he would have stayed Dean would have been different and the truth was he had no idea. He swallowed down the lump in his throat as he stared back at his brother shaking his head gently. Dean had been happy for him right? He had wanted him to go…to be able to make something out of himself.
“You’re a selfish son of a bitch Sam when the fck are you gonna grow up?!”
He had told him he could go and that Dad would be fine, he had been ok with him going he had said that...
He had been Dean and he had told Sam what he wanted to hear…
“I was just going to school…it was just school,” Sam whispered the hurt in his voice ripping through the small space of the chapel.
Sam jumped slightly startled as the sound of Dean’s cell phone chimed through the chapel and his eyes grew wide as the demon explained who had been on the other side of the line and what exactly they had told Dean. He could feel his face grow pale as he took a few steps backwards his eyes never leaving the demon.
He couldn’t be in a coma, he couldn’t be near dead…it was a lie it had to be a lie he was fine he would be fine all he had to do was wake up and it would be fine.
“I’m not…….I wanna wake up now,” Sam whispered taking several more steps away from the demon and without another moments hesitation Sam turned from the small chapel and bolted from the room making his way down the hospital halls not even sure where to begin looking but needing to look anyways.
Sam’s eyes frantically tore around waiting room after waiting room sparing glances behind him hoping the demon wouldn’t follow but knowing he would. He stopped short as his eyes fell upon the form of his father seated in the far corner of the intensive care units waiting room.
“Dad?” Sam whispered as he neared his father his eyes searching his though he knew he couldn’t see him he had figured that much out with Dean. A part of him one he would never speak on was surprised his father had stayed. It wasn’t that he didn’t think his dad didn’t love him he knew he did in his own way but ever since they were boys it had been Dean their father looked to for help. It had always been Dean he had called with coordinates and directions on a hunt…he had never called him…he had never trusted him enough to take care of Dean it had always been Dean’s job to watch out for Sam.
His eyes pulled their way from his father and he took several paces away from him and down the eerily empty emergency hallway. It felt as if his heart was pounding out of his chest sending shock waves of pain through him the further he walked down the hall. His eyes grew wide as they took in the sight that he had hoped the demon had been lying about.
Through the window of the room 1713 Sam came face to face with himself. His bloodied and beaten body was hooked up to what seemed to be a million and one machines and he could feel his entire body shaking as he stumbled backwards away from the sight.
“No…” he silently begged wanting so badly to wake up from the new hell he had found himself in.

Leviathan stared back at Sam and shook his head gently, his black eyes still piercing into Sam’s as he spoke “Not to Dean….it wasn’t just school to Dean….” he mused quietly, affording a glance filled with nothing but pathetic pity at Dean “To him it was betrayal….denial….you turned your back on him….even after all he would do for you, you left him.”
Lev stepped up in front of Sam, the silver dagger still nestled in his hands and he gave a small, almost strangely caring smile to him. “You know the truth of your brother Sam…” he whispered quietly “You will never admit it to him….but you know you are the stronger of the brothers. You know he is nothing without a crutch, without someone to hold him up. You went to school, you strived, you survived and he dragged you back because he was alone….Dad had vanished and he was alone again and it killed him inside….and here you are Sammy.” he whispered his eyes tearing back into Sam’s.
As the young man tore from the room and Lev allowed him his little impromptu jogging session, family reunion and the like within the hallways of the hospital, Lev sat deathly still upon the pew and snapped his fingers together. His eyes once more drilled into the back of Sam’s head as the young man stared at himself through the doorway of the hospital room and he made his way slowly up behind him.
“You’ve been like that for a week Sam….” he mused, standing directly beside Sam and affording him a sideways glance “Daddy has gone….some job to do I think….Dean, well Dean, good old Dean visited you once and then he and his little girl…well, I think you can imagine just what he got up to with her….” he hissed.
“Do you want to see?” he asked softly, turning to face Sam and smiling “Do you want to see when he visited you?” he added quickly and without a second thought he snapped his fingers together and shoved Sam through the doorway and into his hospital room.
Dean Winchester sat beside the bed of Sam, his eyes simply gazing at the young Winchester and Lev waved his hand slowly in front of his face. As no reaction came about, Lev glanced up at Sam and smiled “It’s ok, he doesn’t know we are here…” he mused, stepping back over to Sam and watching with sly satisfaction as Dean’s “visit” played out before them both.
“….if you never wanted to be here Sam….never wanted to come with me, to be the brother you are meant to then you could have said no….” Dean’s hurt filled voice pierced the room about them and Lev slowly began to pick at the bed sheets that lay over Sam “…you should have been stronger Sam….Dad and I, we taught you different….why did you let this…you knew I needed you and now you let this….” Dean tore himself from his seat and leaned heavily over Sam “You should have been stronger….and now you are leaving me….” Dean’s voice became laced with anger and hatred as he stared down at his younger brother “…I always said you were pathetic….a selfish bastard….now you have proven it….I hate you Sam….I…hate….you….You can just go to…”
Dean’s actions and words stopped abruptly as Lev snapped his fingers together and he smiled back at Sam “That’s enough of that for now…” he mused “Though I am pretty sure you know he wasn’t telling you to go to the store…or on vacation…or anywhere else even remotely pleasant…” he added spitefully.
Lev stepped back up to Sam and ran the silver blade slowly through his hands again “I will ask you again Sam….do you wish to wake up?” he spat, his black eyes drilling into Sam’s.

Sam turned startled at the demon’s words. He hadn’t even heard the damn thing near him again but then again it really didn’t matter. His eyes glanced at the demon and then settled back on himself his face a mirror of fear and confusion. Sam could only shake his head softly as the demon proceeded to tell him where everyone was.
But maybe it was best, after all he only had a little less then a month to live anyways he could see why they would think it a waste to sit around and look after him. Hell if they were lucky he would stay there till the hounds came for him and then there would be no mess to clean up.
“No,” Sam snapped as the demon asked if he wanted to see when Dean had gone to see him but before he could protest any further he felt himself propelled into the room and looking at his brother once more.
Sam made his way slowly to the other side of the bed his eyes never leaving the form of his brother as he hurled word after word at him all be it unconscious Sam could clearly hear him now.
“Dean please…” Sam whispered hating to see what he had done to his brother what he had caused him to go through. But Sam’s word froze as he heard his brother turn angry and the words sliced through him like razor blades as he cringed away slightly from the bed and backed his way up till he slammed into the wall his eyes wide and brimming with tears of anguish.
“…I always said you were pathetic….a selfish bastard….now you have proven it….I hate you Sam….I…hate….you….You can just go to…”
Sam was jerked back into the here and now as the demon stopped the scene in front of them.
“Hell…” Sam whispered finishing his brother’s sentence for him.
Sam swallowed hard as he stared back at the demon as he was asked if he wanted to wake up he quickly shook his head affirming that he had had more then enough of this nightmare.
“Please…”

Leviathan watched Sam’s pain that was etched across his face as Dean’s “visit” played out before them and he cocked his head to the side slightly as Sam decided to finish Dean’s sentence for him. “Let’s see what the survey says….” he hissed and snapped his fingers spitefully.
“You can just go to Hell….” Dean’s voice spat through the room and Lev’s eyes drilled into Sam’s “Ladies and gentlemen we have a winner!” he cried out quickly “Let us get an action replay for those at the back shall we?!”
His fingers snapped once more and Lev’s head snapped to Dean as the scene played out again “You can just go to Hell….” A broad smile, so sadistic, so warped crossed Lev’s face and he stared back at Sam.
“Can we hear it one more time for the brotherly love?!” he cried out, snapping his fingers and grinning insanely back at him.
“You can just go to Hell….”, his finger snapped over and over and over again and his eyes remained locked on Sam as the hate filled words Dean spoke slammed about the room time and time again.
“You can just go to Hell….You can just to go Hell….Hell…Hell…Hell….” Lev’s body shuddered with sheer unadulterated thrills as the words crashed through him again and again and he smiled back at Sam “Can you hear it? The malice, the spite, the hatred he puts behind that one word….” he mused and clicked his fingers for the final time.
“……Hell”
As Sam nodded his head and all but begged to be removed from the nightmare he was thrust into, Lev snatched his hand through the collar of Sam’s shirt and yanked him towards him. His hand immediately shoved the silver dagger into Sam’s and he wrenched and pulled him around the bed to stand directly behind the form of Dean, now frozen over Sam’s body and he nodded towards him quickly.
“You are destined for greatness Sammy Boy….there is something inside of you so strong…so powerful that you shouldn’t deny it. We are here to help you Sammy….you are to become what you are destined for….” Lev drilled his eyes into Sam and allowed a sadistic smile to spread across his face.
“You need to remove the weak from the strong, you need to dissect the disease that riddles your future…..He has to go…” he spat, his eyes slamming towards Dean and then immediately focusing upon the blade in Sam’s hand.
