As Sam stumbled over his words regarding her comments about Jessica, the Demon raised a hand and waved it all away spitefully “Leave it all for when you need to help yourself sleep at night....” she spat viciously, her eyes boring into his “You know the truth and I know the truth so save your excuses....” she growled.
The Demon had kept her eyes in front of her as she walked away from Sam and a small, rather satisfied smile crossed her face as his voice inevitably called out behind her and she pulled herself to a stop. “Bingo.....” she muttered to herself quietly and turned slowly to face him.
She watched as he stayed rooted to the spot and her smile simply grew as he spoke upon the deal once more. Allowing her feet to carry her over to where he stood, the Demon stopped directly in front of him and nodded slowly. “Just as he was Sam. As good as new. Dean Winchester....in the flesh.” she mused quietly, her voice much softer now, soothing even and she smiled back at him softly.
Raising her hand and placing it lightly against Sam's cheek, the Demon locked her eyes with his and pouted slightly “I cannot stop him from visiting me.....but....if he does, I will refuse to deal with him. That is the final end to my deal....take it or leave it Sam.” she whispered, her hand still lain against his cheek.

Sam’s eyes moved down to the ground sadly as the demon affirmed that his brother would be brought back “good as new” as if he had never died as if none of this had ever happened. Sam could make the deal and by the time he got back to Missouri’s house Dean would be alive and everything would be fine again…it would be just as it was always supposed to have been and he would have time to say goodbye. He would have a month and a few days…that was a long time when you thought about it they could gets tones of stuff done in that amount of time.
As the seconds ticked by Sam found himself convincing himself that maybe just maybe he wouldn’t be receiving such a bad deal after all. He would be able to say goodbye after all and he would leave his dad with the stronger of his sons the one who had always been more willing to do as he was told and was the better hunter anyways…the son that hadn’t left…the son that deserved to live.
Sam stared back directly into the eyes of the crossroads demon as she placed her hand upon his face once more this time he didn’t flinch or pull away he just stared back at her wide eyed a slight contemplative pout across his face as he tried to wrap his mind around everything. She had agreed to his addition to the deal and she wouldn’t let Dean deal his life away for his and his brother would be safe from having his soul taken to hell in place of Sam’s.
His brother would be safe and alive and back and they could live on happily even once Sam was gone. It was a sacrifice he could make; especially after everything everyone had sacrificed for him in his life he could step up to bat and he could take his like a man. It wasn’t that the thought of being dragged into hell by Hell Hounds and the Crossroads Demon didn’t scare him because it did it terrified him but he could do it…he had to do it.
Sam took a single step backwards away from the demon and he shivered once her hand was away from his face yet his eyes remained firmly locked upon hers. She was the only one who could make this right; the only one who could right this wrong and Sam knew it. Deep down inside Sam knew the things she had said were true in their own way and he would have a month to set things right. “It’s your lucky day after all,” Sam whispered his voice hollow and his eyes almost taking on a dead look about them as he reached out and grabbed her by the shoulders slamming the demon up against the crossroads sign and slamming his lips against her roughly as he sealed the deal.

The Crossroads Demon stared back at Sammy as he visibly contemplated all that she had offered him and as time went on she slowly allowed herself to grow slightly uneasy at the length of time he was taking.
She knew she had cut him to the core with her words, she knew deep down that he realized she was the only one to help him, to help Dean and yet she wondered for the briefest of moments whether or not he would agree to it in the end.
Her eyes snapped up to meet his and a small smile pushed its way across her lips as Sam proclaimed it to be her lucky day and, without much warning nor hesitation, she found herself pinned back against the crossroads sign, Sam's lips firmly placed against her.
Snaking her arms up and entwining her fingers through his hair, the Demon pulled him closer to her and grinned through the kiss. The thoughts and emotions coursing through her caused her body to shudder and a groan to slip from her mouth and through the kiss. She knew she had won, the deal had been set and Sam had sold his soul. “See you soon Sam Winchester....” she breathed through the kiss, pushing her lips to his again more forcefully.
Yet there was one thing at the very back of her mind, the one thing that caused a small, almost unnoticeable smile to creep through the kiss. The thought that there was one aspect of this deal that Sam Winchester was not aware of. The Demon he was kissing, the Demon he was sealing the deal with held his contract. No-one else. She had bound his soul to her the moment his lips met hers and she had plans for him.
Plans that would come into fruition the moment of the Equinox, the one moment when all things related to Hell, all rules, all governs, were turned on their heads. The one solitary minute when she could truly play with fire.

There was a part of Sam Winchester; the hunter part of him, the soldier that his father had molded him into since he had been old enough that knew what he was doing as his lips were pressed against those of the Crossroads Demon was by far the stupidest things he had ever done in his entire life. He knew the deal he had been given; the deal of a month and a handful of days was suicide and not a deal at all and he knew that his soul was in for the worst sort of torment once it came to pay up…But the other part of him the brother part of him the caring part of him the part of him his father and sometimes his brother had never understood about him…knew. He knew he had to do it and he was glad that he had been able to strike any sort of deal at all…and he knew his brother would live because of it and in the war which was to come he knew deep down that Dean was the better soldier to have fighting it and he knew that he had made the right choice and if he had to he would have done it all over again with the same outcome without a moments hesitation.
Sam slammed his eyes shut as he felt the demons fingers tear through his hair pressing him harder against her lips and he could only cringe until she was gone just as quickly as she had arrived leaving Sam standing alone in the crossroads with the thoughts of his deal lingering in the air. He took a shaky step back from the sign and made his way slowly back to the center of the road his eyes scanning the area a number of times over. His body was aching in pain and more then complaining against the amount of exertion Sam had put his already damaged body through in the last few hours.
He smirked in spite of himself as he reached down to dig out the box he had buried in the center of the road as he thought it would be rather ironic if he drop dead in the center of the crossroads now before even getting a chance to see his brother…it would probably serve him right.
He limped his way back to the Impala the sticky feeling of blood seeping through the bandaged bullet wound in his leg making him cringe slightly as he tossed the dirt covered box into the back seat of the car and slumped down into the driver’s seat resting his head against the steering wheel as he tried to gather his strength to make the drive back to Missouri’s house.
He had to make sure…he had to know that Dean was alive and everything was back to how it should be.
As he started the car and peeled away from the crossroads he tried to push away the thoughts of the repercussions he would receive in response to his deal from pretty much everyone back at the house; but a part of him didn’t care…the part of him that smiled slightly as he drove back towards Lawrence knowing he would see his brother alive and well.
He managed a glance down at his watch as he drove and silently started his own countdown…he had exactly:
1 month…9 days…23 hours…and 59 minutes left to live…and Sam Winchester would make the most of every damn second.
