Marisolla had paced for a bit, then cleaned the house, and then paced some more. She had no idea where Rowland could have wandered off to, but she didn't like it. In their time together, Roman had always listened to his maker, and today was a huge exception. She only hoped he hadn't ventured off to the burial yard from the night before. There was something about that which disturbed her too much.
But now, Marisolla couldn't worry where her child had wandered of to. Her own maker would be showing up here any moment She knew she was probably over the top, but Ryden coming after so long...
Marisolla fluffed a pillow on the couch. She hoped everything went perfectly tonight. Ryden had made it perfectly clear that there were to be no mistakes tonight as he would be calling come Hell or high water. And truthfully, Marisolla had her money on Hell coming first.

Killian would have liked to have gone upstairs and gotten some sleep as Alexis had recommended but instead he had stared up at the ceiling in the room listening to the minutes go by. He had been happy in the knowledge that he would never spend another night under the Salem sky. That the day he had "woken" from the dead had been the last time he would have ever been to Salem. That was of course shot to hell and back the moment Mary had decided that his life needed a well placed curse upon it.
Or well another well placed curse.
He had done a damn good job at keeping away from Salem. It wasn't hard; not really he had the whole world to pick from and an unlimited amount of time to travel about as he pleased. He had done a damn good job until now. The room had long since been covered in darkness; hell it had been dark as soon as he entered and Killian had never bothered to turn the light on. Lights showed too much and Killian could barely deal what he could see currently he didn't need or want to see anymore.
So instead of sleep Killian sat and stared; the hours passed and the stars eventually slipped into sleep and still Killian sat and thought. As the first rays of sun sliced through the misty morning Killian forced himself up and out of the room and back down to the lobby of the hotel.
Shrugging into the black hoodie he had dragged down with him Killian slouched down into the chair he had occupied the night before as he waited. He wasn't waiting for Alexis or for Ryden; hell he wasn't even waiting to go see Mary Harper as that wasn't until the darkness came again.
No the sun was up now there was no hiding so instead Killian sat in the lobby and he waited...waited until the darkness came.
Glancing down at his watch Killian was comforted by the sight of the sun slipping behind the horizon. The sooner this was done the sooner they could go home.

Alexis had returned to her own room after her visit to Ryden-and had stayed there all day. Her emotions were a mess. And she hated how badly they were turned around.
In truth, she figured this was why she had never had relationships or connected with anyone. She was confused, hurt, scared and just generally miserable. Most of her had told herself to swear off of men forever-which probably would not be hard seeing as how she had done it for so long. But she didn't want to resort back to her murdering ways, so therefore controlling her anger would have to be her first priority in any situation.
At dark, after doing the typical vampire thing of hanging in the darkness all day, she dragged herself slowly down to the lobby. She'd gotten dressed but she thought she looked like hell. That was the emotional carrying of it all.
Seeing Killian on the other side of the room, Alexis crossed the room to him.
"Evening." She replied as she dropped down into a chair beside him.

"I like how you left the good off of the greeting," Killian replied as he glanced up at Alexis from under the cover of his hood. There were dark circles under his eyes and red tinted the whites of his eyes from lack of sleep and general run of the mill driving oneself crazy.
"It sets the tone for the night," he continued as he managed to slink further down into the confines of the hoodie. The black hoodie which was draped around him was really the only sense of security Killian had managed to garner from Salem. He would take what he could get though and he was merely passing the hours until they could get the hell out of dodge and back home. He was grasping on to the faintest bit of hope that Flick would at least hear him out before slamming the door in his face.
She would at least have to open the door as there was a semi giant black stuffed cat with an obnoxious purple hat and bow on its head that had her name on it...literally it had her name on it.
This had to be an easy fix, it had to be or Killian was going to put a gun in his mouth simply to end the nightmare. He hadn't moved since they had arrived for the most part and yet it still felt as if Salem itself had crawled back into his chest cavity and had began to seed itself into his soul once again. It had taken a lot to get rid of the town the first time, about 200 years to be exact. He had managed though and had never looked back, never wanted to look back at the down that murdered his love and took his life.
If he could he would have gone back 301 years and burnt the entire city to the ground. It wasn't up to him of course and by the looks of things life had been far more intrigued with smiting him then the town, so be it.
"When we're done can we please go home?" Killian asked his eyes not shifting from the flames which consumed the wood in the fireplace across the lobby.
He just wanted to go home, wanted to go back to New York where things were normal, shitty but normal.

"I like how you left the good off of the greeting,"
Alexis shrugged and considered the fact that he had a rather large point about it.
"I'll tack it on if you can name me one good thing about this evening."
Actually, Alexis COULD think of one good thing about this evening, and that's that the previous evening was over. If she ever saw a night like the previous, she'd stake herself in under a second.
"When we're done can we please go home?"
"Well you're certainly not getting any argument from me. Hell, for all I care, we can move."
In truth, the thought wasn't a bad one. Alexis had seriously been considering getting a fresh start elsewhere. New York had suddenly lost its appeal to her. Perhaps it was because too many people suddenly knew where to find her. Or maybe it was because-.
Oh hell, who was she kidding? That was the reason.

"I'll tack it on if you can name me one good thing about this evening."
Killian sat for a moment and thought about the evening that awaited them.
"Let's see we're off to the house of a witch/vampire who has managed to make our lives into nothing short of a living hell, she might try and succeed to kill us, we're doing all of this in Salem...the worst city in the history of worst city, and we look like death warmed over."
Slouching down further into the chair he shrugged.
"Evening works just fine."
"Well you're certainly not getting any argument from me. Hell, for all I care, we can move."
Scrunching his eyebrows up ever so slightly Killian looked over at Alexis. He was glad she was down with the home portion of the plan but wasn't entirely certain he knew where the move level came into play. He liked the shop, aside from all the dying he had managed to in it. It was actually the first place in about 300 years that had felt like home which again was odd considering all the awful things which had managed to go down there. He wouldn't admit it to himself but there was also a large part of him that wanted to say in New York for Flick...if she was still even talking to him when they got back home.
"Let's just focus on making it back to New York in one piece...before we tackle any plans of grandeur," Killian also had the sneaking suspicion that moving was being used to avoid the term running, but he wasn't about to point that out to an agitated vampire.
Killian was never one to subscribe to the "bad vibe" way of living but he couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen, something extremely bad and there was no way around it. He knew it was probably just Salem topped on to their curse but just the same he couldn't get away from the exceptionally large cloud looming over them.
"Is Super Vamp still coming with us?" Killian asked noting the general lack of one Ryden Compton...the only thing which would stand between them and certain death.

Alexis waited until she thought Killian was finished with his slue of issues before smiling.
"I'm inclined to agree."
"Let's just focus on making it back to New York in one piece...before we tackle any plans of grandeur,"
Alexis looked over at him and raised an eyebrow.
"You were expecting we'd make it back in one piece?" She closed her eyes, letting her head fall back against the chair. If she never saw New York again, she'd be happy. But then, there was the matter of her closet sitting there unattended and falling into who knew's hands and she knew she had to go back at least for a day.
"We'll go back, don't worry."
As for staying, well, that she couldn't promise.
"Is Super Vamp still coming with us?"
"As far as I know. I certainly can't handle his crazy ex wife on my own. We've both seen how well that worked out."

Post by Ryden Alexander Compton on May 17, 2012 17:58:34 GMT -4
After the time he had spent with Alexis the previous night Ryden was well aware that she would no doubt need some time to herself as well as some peace. All the more reason for them to attend to their meeting with Marisolla as quickly as possible and get the curse lifted from Alexis and Killian. As soon as that was taken care of everything else could fall into place.
He had spent the daylight hours attending to business and ensuring that everything was still in order as far as Marisolla was and her curse was concerned. There had been understanding when the original meeting was pushed back but Ryden had ensured that there would be no further change of plans. Alexis had kept away the entire day and Ryden assumed Killian had spent his time occupying the front lobby of the hotel.
He had gathered himself and made his way down to the lobby as the clock struck the designated meeting time. All of this would be over soon and then they would need to see what the future would bring. Ryden was not entirely surprised to find Alexis and Killian already occupying the seats in the lobby. Casting a silent nod at the hotel manager behind the desk Ryden quickly joined them.
"As far as I know. I certainly can't handle his crazy ex wife on my own. We've both seen how well that worked out."
"Marisolla shall be no issue, you'll both be rid of her curse by sunrise," Ryden assured the worried pare. He could tell that their situation was beginning to take a toll on them and he knew furthermore that this was all best left behind.
"Shall we go? Or was there further items which need to be discussed before taking our leave?"
Ryden was unsure as to what was occurring in Alexis' mind but he could feel her turmoil and knew better then to push or force any issue when a woman was in such a state.

"We'll go back, don't worry."
"Awesome...cause I still have another disaster to clean up there..." Killian muttered with a slight yawn. He hadn't slept on going on 3 days and his body was beginning to protest the neglect. It could wait...there would be plenty of time to sleep once they got back to New York. The truth of the matter...and he would admit this to no one; was that he didn't trust the city of Salem to not find some way to search him out and make his life...lives a living hell for one last time.
He knew of course as he had told Mary...Marisolla that the current residents of Salem weren't to blame...and he believed that but he didn't have to trust them either.
"How's that snow globe holding up?" Killian inquired since Alexis had declared their fortune and fate rested on the ability of the globe to stay intact.
"Marisolla shall be no issue, you'll both be rid of her curse by sunrise."
Killian nearly jumped out of his chair as Ryden's voice filled the lobby. He hadn't been paying nearly enough attention to notice the other vampire slink into the space.
Killian glared slightly over his shoulder at Ryden, sneaking up wasn't entirely necessary, then again Killian couldn't be sure if he had actually snuck up or if Killian had simply failed to notice he was there at all.
"Shall we go? Or was there further items which need to be discussed before taking our leave?"
"I vote for leaving...and then leaving for good," Killian muttered as he pushed himself from the chair. He stumbled slightly but quickly found his footing.
"Be by the car," he muttered as he shoved his hands into his hoodie and shambled out of the hotel lobby.
The night outside was damp but not necessarily cold, silence was what the surrounding area of Salem had to offer and Killian couldn't help but hope she kept her silence till they left.

Alexis had been momentarily contemplating how her life had gotten so complex in a matter of weeks. A short time ago, she had been living a relatively simple existence with her business and business associates. And now she was here, cursed, and generally disgruntled at the world.
"How's that snow globe holding up?"
"As far as I know, it's sitting neatly on a table in my room. Unless of course the maid has something she wants to tell me."
At least, Alexis hoped the globe was still together. She truthfully hadn't bother to check. Well, what Killian didn't know wouldn't hurt them.
"Marisolla shall be no issue, you'll both be rid of her curse by sunrise,"
Alexis looked up at the sound of Ryden's voice. She nodded, getting to her feet.
"I can certainly hope so." She forced herself to smile and look less for the wear than she actually was. The idea of actually getting back into a former routine would make her a lot better.
Shall we go? Or was there further items which need to be discussed before taking our leave?"
"Not that I'm aware of." Alexis smiled, folding her arms carefully over her chest.
"Be by the car,"
Alexis sighed, shaking her head slightly as Killian tripped a bit. She took a deep breath, knowing that she could easily go down herself.
"Shall we?" She looked at Ryden as she started to cross the lobby towards the door.

Ryden nodded silently as he followed Alexis out of the door to the hotel. He would have a great deal more peace of mind once he knew that Alexis and Killian were free from the curse which Marisolla had placed upon them. Ryden knew her well and knew that it was easy to fall beneath her scorn but this was one instance that he needed her to set aside her anger and scorn and lift what she had done, whether she wished to do so or not was entirely not of Ryden's concern.
Walking briskly in the early night air Ryden unlocked the car door and pulled Alexis' door open before entering into the car. He waited for both to safely get into the car before turning the engine on and allowing the car to roar down the darkening Salem roads towards the trees where he knew Marisolla's home was tucked into. The tension within the car was palatable and the sooner the curse was lifted the better it would be for everyone.

Killian had stood under the darkening Salem sky for what could have passed for a lifetime, even if it had been there was no guarantee he would have noticed. His mind was on one thing and one thing only...okay actually that was a lie. His mind was on several things but they all surrounded him being absolutely screwed over so it all seemed to be one massive thing. Killian was lost in his self loathing and lack of sleep that the slight rustling in the bushes outside of the hotel caught him slightly off guard. His eyes narrowed slightly as the rustling grew louder and he did what he knew was a stupid thing and inched slightly towards the noise. He had seen more than enough horror films he knew better.
He jerked back every so slightly as a dirty grey ball of fur tumbled out of the bushes. He crouched down ever so slightly and stared down at the tiny kitten. It was really small, even by kitten standards and there was something wrong with it eyes. Killian stared at it for several moments, pulled the small collection of Pringles he had from his pocket and placed them directly in front of the cat. His head shot up as he heard Alexis and Ryden exit the hotel. Turning his eyes back down to the cat briefly Killian felt more than bad for the tiny thing.
"Tell you what bud, if you're here when I get back you can come inside."
Killian turned away from the kitten and made his way to the car. He slumped down into the backseat his eyes staring back out towards the darkness. He half hoped the kitten was still there when they got back...okay more than half hoped. But as the car took off down the road his mind was once again pulled back to the knowledge that where they were about to go could very well be an exceptionally bad location. Killian didn't know how the whole vampire/maker thing worked all he could hope for was that it worked well enough to get them uncursed and on their way back home. His forehead pressed against the cold glass of the window as he stared out into the passing night.

Alexis had spent half of the walk to the car picking nail polish away from her once flawless manicure. Frowning, she glanced down at it. Well, there was another thing lost to the curse. And Salem.
I am never setting foot in the commonwealth of Massachusetts again. Ever. If I live to be a million.
And she meant it.
Glancing across the parking lot, she watched Killian. He was looking down, no, moving down to….something. But what-? Oh, a cat, a small one, but a cat nonetheless. She was slightly relieved when he walked away from it. Now was not the time to mention she didn't like cats. But somehow, if he suggested bringing the cat with them, she knew she'd let it happen. The idea of it clawing a 15th century tapestry made her shudder.
She gave Ryden a brief smile as she stepped into the car and pulled the door closed behind her. As the car started off, she stared blankly out of the windows. Massachusetts was a horrible state. She'd decided she couldn't come up with a single thing she liked about it. Actually, there was one thing. She might like it better once it was the state where her curse had been broken.
Reaching into her purse, she pulled out her phone. She pulled up a new message and sent a text message to her brother Jericho. She needed some normalcy. She needed to communicate with someone who wasn't cursed, and could focus on something else in the world. Jericho was set up in Chicago, as was Silverton. She silently yearned for some real contact with familiar faces. Maybe, once this was over, she would convince Catherine to join her and they would go to Chicago and actually have a bit of fun-for the first time in awhile. She would take Killian so long as she could get the others to not eat him. Running them briefly through her head, she determined the level of threat: Catherine-none, Jericho-none, although he'd pretend to be one, Silverton-well, she'd figure that one out as she went along.
Nodding to herself, Alexis made the mental decision. Once the curse was broken, she had an undead life to continue living.

The drive to Marisolla's house was silent, a bit too silent but Ryden allowed his 2 passengers their silence as he knew they both had plenty of worries racing through their minds. It took no more than 30 minutes before he pulled the car into the driveway in front of Marisolla's house. He put the car in park and glanced towards Killian and then Alexis.
"She will not be pleased to see either of you, that is irrelevant. Do not antagonize the situation and simply allow her to do what needs done to remove the curse."
Ryden's eyes were locked on Killian as he spoke, the human boy had a knack for allowing his words to run off with him and now was not the time to do so if they wished for their troubles to be resolved.
Ryden exited the car and made his way around to open the door for Alexis before making his way towards the front door and knocking.

The drive further into hell was dead silent for lack of a better word, Killian was pretty certain he wasn't the only one who had had just about enough of their trip to Salem. His eyes were heavy and he was beginning to regret not trying to get some sleep as Alexis had instructed but he didn't trust Salem enough to sleep which they were there. It sounded stupid even to him but he felt as if should he let his guard down he would end up dead...some way or somehow the town would see of it. He had fallen into a daze and was jerked back into the present as the car pulled to a stop in front of a house. A house he was willing to guess belonged to Mary.
"Oh happy day," he muttered under his breath. He shifted the hood of his sweater over his ruffeled blonde hair as his eyes stared out the window towards the house. He was pretty sure the house couldn't look creepier if it tried. The funny thing was that it looked perfect, everything in its place and that was what made it creepy as hell.
Killian frowned slightly in response to Ryden's warning, he was always well behaved...ish. In all honesty the only time he spoke out of turn was when people...or things were acting like assholes, he could hardly be blamed when that happened.
"I didn't do anything," he grumbled under his breath as he pulled himself out of the car. He watched as Compton made his way tot he front door and knocked. He wondered if Mary could maybe uncurse him if he just stayed in the driveway. Killian shivered slightly, the house felt wrong...the night felt wrong...he didn't know what it was but he felt a chill straight through to his core which told him that something awful was about to happen...that was a feeling he would have happily done without.
