"This isn't funny Andy,"
"It's a little funny," she told him. At least, Andy found it funny... which probably meant that he was right and it wasn't funny at all. But it was either laugh or freak the hell out and laughing at things was much easier, and generally better for one's health.
"Don't break the closet,"
Andy gave her brother a small smile as he opened the closet door, but made no move to get out. If it made Rory feel better to have her sitting in his closet, then in the closet she'd stay... for now.
"You were in prison Andy...how did you get out?...Do I want to know? What did you do?...I can't...it's prison...things stay IN!"
"Ah... well..." where to begin? He probably didn't actually want to know how she got out, that would almost make him an accomplice, hell, her even being here right now pretty much undid her five years of trying to keep the police off his back. And generally things did stay in prison but not all the time. Andy was not the first to break out of jail, and she hardly expected to be the last... especially the way hunters were being picked on these days.
"DID YOU KILL ANYBODY?!"
"No!" she said, looking genuinely hurt for a split second. "Jesus, Rory, what do you think I am? I don't kill people. A few concussions... a broken bone here or there but no body died while I escaped."

Andy's lack of explanation in regards to how she got out of jail made Rory made him both calm and stressed at the same time...it was perhaps best not to think about it especially since that seemed to be the theme for the current situation. Thinking led to questions and questions led to headaches and so the process continued on and on and on and on.
"No! Jesus, Rory, what do you think I am? I don't kill people. A few concussions... a broken bone here or there but no body died while I escaped."
Rory didn't miss the hurt that flashed across his sisters face and then was gone; he hadn't meant to hurt her feelings but things happeneded especially around them; especially around their lives. People died...things died...hell even when it wasn't their fault they tended to die so really it wasn't out of the realm of possibility.
Pushing past a yawn Rory attempted to piece together the puzzle that was literally right in front of him. This was going to have to be sorted he couldn't keep his fugitive sister stored in his closet forever. He didn't even know how long she had been missing but it was a rather small miracle that no cops had come looking for him yet to see where he was keeping her...but it was only a matter of time.
Time...the one thing they never seemed to have enough of.
"So I don't want to know how you got out then...fine...but what about what we're going to do with you?"
That was the thing Rory hoped Andy understood; he just wasn't going to let her come into the house say hey and then leave as if she ahd never been there at all. He had allowed himself to be pushed out of her life for 5 years and he wasn't about to let it happen again at least not without a fight.

"So I don't want to know how you got out then...fine...but what about what we're going to do with you?"
Andy wasn't sure whether or not to be surprised at how firmly he empasised the 'we' in that last sentence. It was a very Rory thing to do, decide they had to sort this out together. They were twins, they were all each other had in the world... it was just the way things went. But at the same time, he'd managed to find a normal life while she'd been locked up and a small part of her assumed he wouldn't want to leave that behind.
"Well," she said, leaning forward onto her elbows and resting her chin in her hands. "I was going to get out of Virginia... probably to the otherside of the country... Cali or Oregon..."
Not back home though... even though Andy was tempted to go back to Seattle, and it was so very far away from Virginia, they would find her there. They knew where she was from.
"I won't make you come with me though," she said, looking him right in the eye. "I mean, I'd love you to... but I wouldn't expect you to leave your nice apple-pie life for your crazy sister... at least not until you've found her."
That was another thing she wanted to do... give Rory back his girl... she didn't have a plan for that yet though, as all her usual tricks didn't work in this town... they knew her... and they hated her.

"Well, I was going to get out of Virginia... probably to the other side of the country... Cali or Oregon..."
Rory shook his head slowly; he had figured that whatever their plan of action was it would include running...with the Fletcher family it usually did. And of course it made sense that they couldn't set up shop in Virginia...what with Andy having broken out of a Virginia jail...there would be issues no doubt.
"I won't make you come with me though. I mean, I'd love you to... but I wouldn't expect you to leave your nice apple-pie life for your crazy sister"
Rory smiled slightly at Andy's words; his life used to be apple pie-ish...and then all hell had broken loose as was the norm and here he sat stuck in a shit storm.
"You're not crazy...all the tim..."
"... at least not until you've found."
Rory's words died on his lips and he stared back at Andy his blue eyes wide as if she had just slapped him. He hadn't told her about Amelia...he hadn't planned to tell her about Amelia but apparently that plan was no longer an option.
"How did...she's um...I..." Rory pulled his knees closer to his chest and stared at the carpet averting his eyes from his sister. He could feel the familiar tightness in his chest quickly creep back in and hi took a deep shuddering breath to attempt to push it away; now was not the time.
"She vanished..." Rory finally managed to whisper his voice cracking with far more emotion then he would have liked.
Andy had other things to worry about; she was an escaped convict on the run from the police; she didn't have time to worry herself about Rory and all the baggage that came with him.

"How did...she's um...I..."
As Rory pulled his knees closer to his chest, Andy slowly ventured from the closet to sit next to him and wrap an arm around his shoulders. She knew it must be hard for him to think about it... the fact that Amelia was gone... but Andy didn't believe it was possible for Amelia to be truly gone... not until she saw it with her own eyes... Never believe what other people tell you.
"She vanished..."
"No," she whispered, hugging him tighter. "Come on, Rory, you and I have dealt with 'vanished' people before... and we always find them..."
They didn't always find them alive of course, but Andy thought it would be better if she didn't mention that bit.
"Where's my geekboy brother got to, huh?" she asked lightly, a small smile on her face. "He'd know exactly how to find her."

Rory allowed his eyes slip closed as Andy sat next to him her arm around his shoulder. He focused on breathing since right about now a panic attack would be rather poorly placed.
"No, come on, Rory, you and I have dealt with 'vanished' people before... and we always find them..."
Rory shook his head lightly still not pulling his head out from his knees.
"Dead more times then not," Rory whispered the words nearly killing him in the process. He had gone voer the scenarios since Amelia had vanished. He had gone over it time and time again and each day that passed without her being found gave more and more a chance to the fact that Amelia was dead and simply waiting somewhere to be found.
"Where's my geekboy brother got to, huh? He'd know exactly how to find her."
Finally forcing himself to look at his sister Rory did what he could to process her words to make it along with everything else some how fit into place. He shook his head lightly before his eyes caught sight of the picture which sat upon the nightstand. It was of Amelia and himself at the park; Rory had enevr met somebody who enjoyed being outside as much as she did.
"I tried to find her. I've looked everywhere...for everything that could be out there...that could have gotten her. Day after day I've tried to have it make sense; to find soemthing...anything that could help her...and I can't," Rory explained his eye spulling from the picture and resting back upon Andy.
"I can't save her Andy..."

"Dead more times then not,"
Andy said nothing. If she denyed it, he would know she was lying... he'd been there all those times after all. And if she confirmed it, it would probably just make him sadder. So she stayed silent... slowly plotting all the ways she could torture whatever took her before finally ending it's miserable existance.
"I tried to find her. I've looked everywhere...for everything that could be out there...that could have gotten her. Day after day I've tried to have it make sense; to find soemthing...anything that could help her...and I can't,"
She met her brother's eyes and thought she felt a part of her die inside at the look on his face. Why did shitty things always have to happen to the people who deserved it least?
"I can't save her Andy..."
It was probably just her stubborn nature... or the fact that she wasn't entirely mentally stable... but Andy didn't think she could accept that. And she was about to tell him just that when the sounds of sirens from outside interrupted her.
"Fuck," she muttered quickly getting to her feet and peeking out the window. Obviously they'd finally figured out that this would be the best place to look for her. "Got a back door, little bro? Time to make a quick exit."

Rory had felt very much alone this past month but it was a great relief to have his sister back....even if they were still screwed. It was nice just the same to feel as if you weren't the only person in the world...and it was a welcomed change.
Rory nearly jumped out of his skin when the sounds of sirens started to blare from outside of the house...well that was fast.
"Fuck."
Rory stared wide eyed at his sister as she peered out fo the window and he scrambled to his feet. This was bad....extremely bad!
As much as he hated it though it took no time for Rory to slip into survival setting otherwise known as the Hunter state of mind. He quickly ran into the bathroom and yanked the shower on setting the setting to as hot as it would go so that steam would collect....quickly.
"Got a back door, little bro? Time to make a quick exit."
"Yeah," Rory muttered turning panicked eyes to the flashing lights splashing across the other side of the window; they would be at the door in no time. Grabbing Andy's hand Rory made his way into the little laundry room where at the back was a small back door. He stared at his sister for several moments as the sirens grew extremely close.
"Don't disappear...or well now yes but don't leave me here," Rory explained keeping his voice hushed as he kept his vision down towards the front of the house. When Andy left he should have time to "be in the shower" and have not a clue what the fuss is about.
"And don't get arrested...again," Rory added as he pulled his scrub shirt off and tossed it back into the bedroom. He never would have thought he would have been happy to work 72 hours straight; it allowed him the perfect alibi which he would not doubt need.

Andy had to admit, she was rather impressed with how quickly Rory jumped into survival mode. So there was a Hunter in there somewhere... it was a shame it needed the police knocking on his door to bring it out... but at least it was there.
She followed him to the small back door and opened it slightly to see where it led. Andy figured she would have to jump a few fences and come out a block away in order to get away without being seen by the cops... but she could deal with that... and she could do it inconspicously.
"Don't disappear...or well now yes but don't leave me here,"
Giving him her best reassuring smile, Andy kissed her brother on the forehead. "Don't worry, Rors, I'll be back before you can spit."
"And don't get arrested...again,"
"See you later," she said with a wink, before disappearing out the back door and over the back fence.

"Don't worry, Rors, I'll be back before you can spit."
Rory wanted to believe her and the blaring sirens and flashing lights coming from the front of the house offered no real room for him to doubt her. She would be back...or at least Rory hoped she would.
"See you later."
"Bye Andy," Rory whispered before closing the door firmly and silently as his sister disappeared intot he shadows. They had to ahev the worst luck there was really no way around it. Pulling off the rest of his clothes Rory just about crashed into the shower as he heard firm banging upon the front door. Quickly sure his hair was wet he shut off the water and pulled back on his scrub pants and white under shirt as he amde hsi way back to the door doing his best to practice his "I have no idea what you speak of officer" face as he drapped a towel around his neck the water dripping from his hair as he pulled open the door staring owlishly at the cops on his front porch who shoved their way past him and into the house looking fro his sister no doubt.
He had been none tog ently shoved down upon the couch as the cops searched every inch of the house and glared at him the entire time no matter how much he explianed he had been at work for the last 72 hours, only just recently gotten back home, took a shower and answered the door...he had of course left out seeing his prison escaped sister.
For the most part Rory sat silently upon the couch fighting off the urge to sleep as the cops tore apart the house looking for somebody they wouldn't find. He kept his eyes away from Detective Vikers who seemed to have had it out from him since the start of Andy's trial. The man gave him the creeps and Rory did what he could to stay out of his line of sight.
Afte an hour Rory was really not surprised when teh hauled him down to the police station for questioning and he did what he could to stay awake for another handful of hours as the questioned him and checked on his alibi.
Having nothing to hold him Rory was allowed to go back home around the time that the sun was sneaking above the horizon.
The life of a Fletcher was never boring...
