Killian hadn't thrown her off, and he hadn't complained about her touching him, so Alexis considered this a victory.
"I promise...that once we get out of here we can sit down and do a sharing circle or something,"
"Yeah, we'll watch Glee or something, you know a Sandra Bullock movie or one of those other things that make me sick." Alexis smirked, taking a step backwards. Her eyes drifted back to Ryden. She wanted to be near him again.
"If you ate ice-cream I would promise that but we both know it's not on your diet,"
"Depending on the flavor, I like the smell of it." Alexis shrugged. She did like the scent of some ice creams, but ones like coffee and butter pecan made her sick.
"Let's get inside and get settled. You'll feel better when you're inside and watching television or something of that sort."

Ryden had finished unpacking the car as Alexis went to Killian; he knew the bound they shared was deep and he also knew Alexis would need to be there for the boy during whatever it was that plagued him so much in regards to the town of Salem.
Finishing unpacking the car and locking up the vehicle Ryden kept himself busy meddling about with his cell phone and other menial tasks as he waited for Alexis to finish with her time with Killian. He hadn't wanted to interrupt what she was trying to do for the boy; it was important for her and the boy Ryden was plenty aware of this. It was a look Alexis casted his way which allowed Ryden to take the hint that it was ok if he made his way back over to his two traveling companions.
"Let's get inside and get settled. You'll feel better when you're inside and watching television or something of that sort."
"You will both feel better once you are refreshed and settled in," Ryden explained as he caught Alexis' last statement.
"Even if Killian wishes to stay in doors during our trip I think you will find our lodgings good to keep you occupied," Ryden explained with a smile as he clapped the boy on the shoulder as members of the wait staff made their way from the large resort out to retrieve the bags from Ryden.
Ryden had carefully chosen the location to be far enough from the heart of Salem to grant them all peace and for the resort in itself to hold the relaxation that he yearned for Alexis to have and for the escape from their current situation that Killian would require.
He was unsure when it had occurred but at some point since he had arrived in America Ryden had developed a bond stronger then anything he had experienced in centuries with Alexis; and from this point forward he would make absolute certain that the world around her was nothing short of perfect. For her and those she loved.
Ryden slipped Alexis' hand within his own grasp pleased with how she fit within his grasp.
"Is everything well?" Ryden whispered in her ear before placing a soft kiss against her cheek.

"You will both feel better once you are refreshed and settled in,"
Before Alexis had had a real chance to even approach him, Ryden was back with them. She couldn't lie, it made a thrill of excitment run through her.
"Even if Killian wishes to stay in doors during our trip I think you will find our lodgings good to keep you occupied,"
"See? There you go. You never have to leave the hotel." Alexis smiled at Killian, wondering when the boy last had a good break. She thought that once this was over, they needed a vacation-and potentially to locate another city to live in. But that was another bridge to cross at a later date.
"Is everything well?"
Alexis smiled as Ryden's hand met hers and she pressed closer to him as he kissed her cheek.
"Everything's fine, for the firse time in ages." She leaned over to kiss him lightly.
"It's odd." Alexis waiting until some of the hotel staff had moved inside before slipping her arms around Ryden's neck. "I held off kissing you for so long, but now it's all I want to do."

"Let's get inside and get settled. You'll feel better when you're inside and watching television or something of that sort."
"Sure it's worth a shot," Killian replied wanting to humor Alexis. He knew she was worried and he would tell her but he wouldn't do it now and if he could keep her from worrying about it that would be best all things considered. Casting a glance around the area around them Killian knew he had no real desire to go into the details of how the people of Salem killed him on a whim and a prayer...but maybe it wouldn't be so bad to talk about...once they were away from Salem...very very very far away.
Killian muttered his thanks to one of the staff members that grabbed his bag from him and took it into the hotel. Apprently that meant they were staying for good now...which was good for curse getting out of and bad for life in general.
"See? There you go. You never have to leave the hotel."
"Awesome," Killian replied with a faint smile. The idea of not going out into Salem was appealing...though he would see if he could make an effort for Alexis...but currently he wanted to search the web and see if he could find any sort of contact info for Flick...prefferable one that involved her being able to hear him...since he had been an asshole and had forgotten she was flippin blind.
"I may need your expertise on how to apologize to a girl later," Killian muttered to Alexis before making his way into the hotel.

"Everything's fine, for the firse time in ages."
"Good," Ryden whispered allowing his fingers to trace gently along the side of Alexis' face. Her skin was perfection just like the rest of her. Ryden had in all of his years met a person who was so equally magnificent on the inside as she was on the outside.
"It's odd. I held off kissing you for so long, but now it's all I want to do."
Ryden watched as the hotel staff took their bags into the hotel and watched as the boy made his way into the hotel as well. This would be what they all needed; Ryden had planned it to be as easy as a process as possible and he would see to it that it stayed that way.
"Perhaps we simply need to catch up," Ryden explained with a smile as he scooped Alexis into his arms and kissed her ocne more. He truley understood what she meant. Since the moment she had kissed him outside of her shop it was as if he could not get enough of her; could not do enough for her. She was everything to him.
"You are perfect," Ryden whispered pulling away only slightly before he kissed her once more and began to lead the way into the hotel so that they could all get settled in for their stay in Salem.

"I may need your expertise on how to apologize to a girl later,"
Alexis's mouth opened to press him on the subject, but Killian was already off for the hotel. She felt a faint smile cross her lips. Killian had a girlfriend? Was that why he'd been so secretive about his venture the other night?
"Perhaps we simply need to catch up,"
And then Ryden's lips were back on hers and Alexis didn't care anymore. She would deal with Killian and whatever issue he had when the time came, but right now this was the only thing on her mind.
"You are perfect,"
"I may have to disagree with you on that one, but I will take your compliment."
She smiled as she slipped her arm through his. Another thought flashed through her head, well two actually, one there was that voicemail that she thought she had heard earlier, but couldn't quite place. But Alexis was successful in pushing that one back only to think of what perfume, make up and clothing she'd brought with her. If it wasn't acceptable, she may find herself taking a trip down to Boston for some serious shopping to replace.
"Have you stayed here before? You seem very familiar with the place." Alexis ran her fingers the length of Ryden's arm as she allowed him to take her inside of the building.

"I may have to disagree with you on that one, but I will take your compliment."
"You can disagree all you like...but to me you are perfect," Ryden explained as he gently brushed his hands along the back of Alexis' neck.
"Have you stayed here before? You seem very familiar with the place."
Ryden frowned only slightly before returning his calm face to Alexis as he felt her fingers brush against his own flesh. It had been a very long time since he had last been in Salem. Late 1600's right after Marisolla had been turned and he had not been back several times on matter of business since then.
"I used to live in the woods not far from this hotel in the late 1600s," Ryden explained as the last of the hotel staff made their way into the hotel with the remainder of the bags.
"And since that point in time I have been back several times on business so I have grown a bit familair with Salem though I haven't returned here since Marisolla has claimed residence once more," Ryden explianed with a smile as he held open the door to the hotel for Alexis. The entrance of the hotel was just as he remembered which was a good thing as he had speciaifically picked the location for it's elegant state and comfortable feel.
It was old and warm which was a welcomed change to some of the othe establishments he had stayed in and he hoped Alexis and Killian would find a sort of relaxing comfort during their stay.
"I hope you find this to your liking."

"You can disagree all you like...but to me you are perfect,"
"Mmhhmmm..." Alexis was distracted by the feeling of Ryden's hands against her neck. She restrained herself from wrapping around him yet again, but instead headed for the hotel with him.
"I used to live in the woods not far from this hotel in the late 1600s,"
Alexis wrinkled her nose momentarily at the thought of living in the woods. It sounded awful....like vampires you saw in some bad movie. She had never lived on such outskirts the way some vamps did. It was foreign to her.
"And since that point in time I have been back several times on business so I have grown a bit familair with Salem though I haven't returned here since Marisolla has claimed residence once more,"
"Ah." Alexis murmured, running a hand through her long hair. She couldn't imagine living in a place where your crazy ex wife lived either.
"I can't say I blame you. If she was my ex, I wouldn't live near her either."
Alexis's attention distracted from the topic of Marisolla when they actually entered the hotel. She glanced around, taking in the comfort of the well kept building. It just went to emphasize that Ryden Compton had excellent taste.
"I hope you find this to your liking."
"It's perfect." She said, pulling Compton's arm tighter to her. "I think I need to rest for a bit before we go running all over town."
It was true, she hadn't quite regained all of her strength from the previous evening's event. Running around Salem in a weakened condition wouldn't solve anyone's problems.

"Ah, I can't say I blame you. If she was my ex, I wouldn't live near her either."
"It was best to keep the peace and besides this town is not my home it was hers long ago so only fair," Ryden explained with a smile. In truth he had only ever seen Salem as a business establishment even all those years ago when he had lived there; simply a means to an end.
"It's perfect. I think I need to rest for a bit before we go running all over town."
Ryden greeted the gentleman behind the desk with a nod and the man quickly scurried over and brought him 3 keys for the rooms they would be staying in.
"Thank you sir," Ryden stated as he took the keys from the man and handed 2 of the keys to Alexis so that she could give the other to Killian when they figured out where the boy had gotten off to.
"Take as much time as you need and I shall be ready for you when you are rested and prepared for what you wish," Ryden explained as he placed a gentle kiss upon Alexis' forehead and then went a bit lower and placed a more passionate one upon her lips.

"It was best to keep the peace and besides this town is not my home it was hers long ago so only fair,"
It was fair. Alexis couldn't argue that. It also proved that Ryden was a true gentleman. He respected his ex wife's space enough to leave her to her own home. Alexis thought women would appreciate that.
Alexis took the keys Ryden held out to her. She would have to actually locate Killian to give him his key.
"Take as much time as you need and I shall be ready for you when you are rested and prepared for what you wish,"
Alexis close her hands around his arms as he kissed her forehead, but they quickly wrapped around his neck as he kissed her lips.
"I'll send you a text." She murmured, brushing a stray lock of hair off of his forehead. Brushing her hand over his cheek one last time, she followed the bellhop who was carrying her bag to one the elevator and then down a hallway. He put her bag inside and left, after she tipped him of course.
As the door closed behind him, Alexis took a deep breath. She was alone in a room that didn't involve work, or hold sad memories of lost boyfriends, or of violent attacks which had sprayed blood all over them.
Relaxed, she settled her things in and took a shower. Afterwards, she did a check of her things and decided she'd brought the appropriate clothing for the situation. Then she pulled out her phone and hit a few keys to text Killian.
Rm 247...come see me for your key.
Deciding that the boy could knock if he needed her, she collapsed onto the bed and closed her eyes. Alexis didn't think she'd ever managed to fall asleep as quickly as she did in that instance.
