"That's one hell of a job you've got," Mercy said, looking him over. Despite being completely covered in blood, he was damn good looking. "Though I must say, it suits you."
"And for a fee I may be able to help you out..."
Mercy watched him as he sat himself on one of the gravestones close to her and her eyes narrowed.
"What kind of a fee?"

"It does...it and my dashing good looks...the blood only enhances my natural charm apprently it does wonders for the skin," Carter replied with a smirk as he kicked his feet back and forth and stared back down at the vampire bodies he needed to burn the fuckers before they decided to regroup.
"What kind of a fee?"
"Oh now THAT is the question of the hour especially considering how much energy and general pain in teh ass time I would have to allow for," Carter explained as he jumped off the gravestone and trudged over to the nearest vampire body and tossed it into an open grave that had been dug for a funeral no doubt.
Carter walked his way back over towards Mercy a smirk firmly planted on his face.
"Though I'm sure for you I could work up a...payment plan...of sorts," Carter said with a smirk as he pushed Mercy against the mosoleum behind her and pressed his lips firmly against her in an impropmtu kiss. He pulled away several seconds later a satisfied smirk on his face.
"Definetly a payment plan Lassie," Carter said walking away from her as he heaved up another body and dragged it into the open grave.

When Carter pushed Mercy up against the mausoleum, her first thought had been Here we go again. But instead of beating the crap out of her again, he kissed her, for several seconds. And there was nothing she could have done about it. When he pulled away, all she could do was stare at him.
Well that was... unexpected, Mercy thought. While another part of her brain said, But not all together unpleasant. She frowned at her self. Shut up you.
She tried to say something to Carter, opening and closing her mouth several times, before finally giving up and just watching him as he piled the vampire bodies into the grave. She tried to decide whether or not hiding from the angels was worth... whatever it was Carter wanted from her. Her life wasn't in danger, her sanity maybe, but not her life... at least not for the moment. But if she said no, she'd be on the run for the rest of her life. Moving city to city, constantly on the move. She still wouldn't have a life, and she'd probably go crazy faster than if she'd stayed in Chicago. If she said yes, however, she could stay in one place, and attempt to have a relatively normal life. Well... as normal as possible when you could turn into a wolf and you were being magically hidden from God by a very violent half angel anyway.
"Fine," she sighed. "Whatever."

Carter watched amused from the corner of his eyes as Mercy's mouth opened and closed for several seconds like a gold fish.
"Do you make hand puppets too? Cause that guppy impression was spot..." Carter smikred slightly in surprise as Mercy agreed. That had been unexpected to say the least. He dropped the bloodied corpse he had been dragging across the ground and stared at her for a moment realizing she was damn near as serious as you could get on the matter.
He hadn't taken that into account...but he could still do it....sort of.
"Now don't go making deals you aren't gonna follow through on there Mercy," Carter stated with a smirk as he walked towards her his eyes drilling straight through her.
"You'll do what I say...when I say it...and a bit extra as well as oh...30 grand if you can scrape it up and I'll get the winged wonders off of your back for as long as I'm still breathing and we have a deal?" Carter asked his bloodied hand extended out to her.

Mercy held his gaze as he walked towards her, a smirk still on his face.
"You'll do what I say...when I say it...and a bit extra as well as oh...30 grand if you can scrape it up and I'll get the winged wonders off of your back for as long as I'm still breathing and we have a deal?"
"Thirty grand?" Mercy asked, shocked. "Jesus Christ, what the hell do you need thirty grand for?" She stared at him, her mind working quickly. Damn thirty grand was a lot of money. Having said that though, she could get it, and quite easily but... damn... She went over her inner debate about whether or not it was worth it. And once again, he won.
She sighed and took his hand, the blood making it slippery. "Deal."

"To get a hair cut," Carter snapped back at mercy as she gawked at the prospect of $30,000 and he had even low balled it for her he was going to start off at $50,000.
A satisfied smile crossed Carter's face as Mercy still agreed her hadn slipping into his as they sealed the deal per say. That had been a far easier sale then he would have thought. Now he just had to figure exactly how he could get his own cloaking he used for his own signature over to Mercy but he had enough time to work on that especially since after his little healing escapade his own defenses were down.
"Smart girl...now when should I be expecting the 30 grand? I have to know when to make the appointment," Carter said with a wink as he pulled his hand from hers and finishing dragging the last vampire into the ditch and he quickly grabbed a match and lit the entire slew of them on fire.
"You wouldn't happen to have marshmellows in your purse would you?" Carter asked turning back to Mercy.

Mercy wiped her, now bloody, hand on her jeans. Explaining this to the dry cleaners was going to be an adventure. She thought for a moment.
"If you can find me an internet connection you can have your money before tomorrow," she said. "But, before I blow that kind of money, I'm going to want to know for absolute certain, that they can't find me."
She watched as he dropped the match into the open grave and the fire roared to life. It'd almost be relaxing aside from the strange feeling that she had just sold her soul.
"Can't say I make it a habit of carrying candy around with me."

"Find a Starbucks," Carter muttered absently as Mercy mentioned needing an internet connection in order to transfer the money in from God only knew where someone kept $30,000 just laying in wait...well no Carter knew exactly where you kept 30 grand but that wasn't the point there was soemthing else that had his attention for the moment.
There was something in the darkness a few paces behind Mercy he could feel it hell he could all but smell it but it wasn;t close enough for him to do anything about just yet.
"My word should be worth 30 grand no?" Carter explained still looking directly over her shoulder as he stood a few paces in front of her.
"...Keep talking...and don't move..." Carter whispered under his breath as he rested a hand on the wall behind Mercy and yet kept his eyes trained on the empty darkness over her other shoulder. With one hand it slid one sword from its sheath and held it tightly in his grasp Mercy's body serving as a way to keep it blocked from sight.
There had been 10 vampires...that was what he had been paid for anyways so whatever the fuck was in the shadows was unwelcomed and it was about to un-living as well...if it was avampire it would be an encore for the blood sucking bastard.

"No one's word is worth thirty grand," Mercy pointed out as Carter came closer.
"...Keep talking...and don't move..."
"What are you doing?" Mercy asked. Then, seeing him pull out his sword, she froze and listened. There was something lurking distantly behind them. She tried to find the scent but Carter was too close and it was confusing her.
"What the hell is it?" she whispered. The word 'angel' came to mind but she shook her head. They wouldn't hide, would they? They were normally so cocky they thought they could win anything.

"How about my word...and a promise to let you be on top?" Carter asked slyly his eyes and mind not even remotely focused on the conversation at hand. Whatever it was continued to move in quickly and was close enough to sense and almsot close enough to kill.
"You're not talking," Carter gritted out through clenched teeth; he had wanted the thing to think they were completely oblivious to its appearence but obviously that wasn't gonna work.
"Oh fuck it," Carter snapped out and with a swing of his sword he sliced in the air directly behind Mercy's left ear the force of blow breezing past the woman's hair as an inhuman screeched slivced through the air and a second later a sounds of a body thumped to the floor...followed a few seconds later by it's head.
"Fucking vampires," Carter muttered as he yanked the sword from the stone it had become embedded in from the force of the blow he had delivered. He didn;t need to hit it that hard but then again what fun was it to be friggin awesome if you couldn;t show off from time to time?
"Well now see 10 was just a nice even number," Carter grumbeled tossing the sword in the grass as he dragged the headless body over the grass and shoved it into the fire pit with the others.
"And to think I only charged for 10...now what were you saying about my word and not being capable of watching your back?"

"Holy fucking shit!" Mercy squealed as Carters sword swung past her head, not even an inch away from her. The headless body of a vampire fell to the ground, followed by its head. Mercy shoved Carter away slightly. "Don't fucking do that!" she yelled. "Is it too much to just kill something? Must you show off by being all macho and scary?"
As Carter dragged the latest body over to the fire, she took several deep breaths and tried to stop her heart from smashing out of her chest.
"...now what were you saying about my word and not being capable of watching your back?"
"I'm not stupid," she said. "If you can hide me, the thirty grand and whatever else you want it yours. If not, then you don't get anything. That's a lot of money to waste on a chance."

"I did kill it," Carter pointed out with the slightest hint of a frown as Mercy threw a minor hissy fit in regards to his tactics.
"And I wouldn't say I'm scary more like...unique?" Carter corrected her with a smirk.
She was smart he would give her that but tha also proved to be a pain in the ass especially in reagrds to him getting his 30 grand right off the bat.
"How exactly do you suggest I prove to you I can hide you from the winged wonders in order to get me my 30 grand? I don;t work for free Lassie if that's what you're gettin at."
He was certain that as long as she stuck close by he could cloud her signature as well as his own and for the moment he would cloud hers and let his own go for a time; he could take whatever shit storm the angels felt like throwing his way any how.
"After awhile I'll even show you how to do it...if you've got the strength for it..."

"That's not quite what I was getting at, no," Mercy said. "But I see your point..." Mercy frowned. She had absolutely no idea how she was going to make him prove it. It's not like she knew the difference between being hidden and not being hidden. But the chance he was trying to scam her out of thirty thousand dollars was still there... so, what to do?
"Dammit," she muttered.
"After awhile I'll even show you how to do it...if you've got the strength for it..."
That particular propsect was tempting. Although in all honesty she highly doubted she would have the ability to do so. Either way, she was stuck with Carter... and down thirty grand.
"Dammit," she said again. "Fine, you win. I'll get you your damn money."

Carter watched Mercy as she seemd to mull over the friggin meaning of life as he waited for her to answer him.
"Or we could just stand here...forever...and wait...for you to make a...that's the spirit," carter replied cutting off his miny rant as Mercy finally agreed to hand over the 30 grand. It had been much easier still then he had thought but it was all int he charm...that and there was really no way to prove he couldn't do it...until an angel came knocking of course.
"Awesome...so as soon as you get your little nest egg into my tree then we can start our gran adventure shall we call it?" Carter's own strength were waining as he had used a shit load of his powers between killing the vampires, knocking the shit out of Mercy, showing off and killing one more vampire.
"Where you staying at?"

Mercy glared at Carter for a while until she felt better. She hated him a little bit. She was not entirely sure how he'd managed to get thrity thousand dollars out of her but done it he had.
"Account transfer or cash?" Mercy asked. "Cause cash is slightly more difficult. Doable, but difficult."
"Where you staying at?"
Mercy gestured in the vague direction of her hotel. "Hotel around the corner," she explained. She looked down at her bloody clothing. "Oh yeah, cause this is going to be easy to explain to the doorman..."
