Great I think I got some of it in my shoe.
Jon was currently crawling through a pipe just big enough to let him shimmy through. There'd been reports of actual alligators grabbing people and pulling them into the sewer. Just what he wanted, a little over a week ago he'd been with who he thought was an amazing woman, but turned out to be a vampire. He was being harsh, she was still amazing but now it was confusing.
Maybe I should've just let it go and not have pushed her into revealing herself. Maybe I'd still be with her but nope instead of an adventure to find people living in the subway tunnels I'm now crawling through garbage to find bloody gators.
He was glad he hadn't brought to much equipment with him, a sawn off shotgun, silver blade and a small collapsible crossbow with silver bolts. More than likely these gators were shapeshifters, all of the pictures people had gotten had shown retinal flares. Granted most were thrown off as hoax and the majority believed it was a serial killer living down here. A scraping sound echoed down the tunnel Jon was squeezing through at an agonizingly slow pace. Even if they were shapeshifters in gator form they were still as powerful as gators and Jon didn't want to tangle with one down here. He turned right and found himself in a tube that led to a larger area and underneath him was a gator.
Great all it does is need to look up and I'm dead.
He was about to aim his shotgun when he heard something down the tunnel. The gator/shapeshifter heard it to and took off, whatever was down there was scary enough to drive off the shifter. Jon grabbed the edge of the tube and lowered himself to the ledge below him. He was glad he'd worn the slip-proof boots with all the muck there was. He really hated some of the jobs he came across.

Being bored to death really wasn’t a very good analogy if it could be seen as an analogy at all. It was almost impossible for someone to be bored completely to the point of death. Though it could be argued that if someone sat around bored not eating or drinking they would die and thus they would have been bored to death…but that was cheating.
It was however possible for the Trickster to be bored. Oh yes that was very very very possible.
He hated being bored…he also hated being gloomy and emo but that on occasion came with the job and this was of course discounting the fact that it never really went well for the human race when he became bored…never well at all (see: Holy Wars, The Black Plague, and America’s Next Top Model or just read the Weekly World News to understand why…)
Things had gotten rather boring for him though, it wasn’t for lack of imagination or even lack of people to teach lessons or what not he had just gotten bored with it all so he had decided a “road-trip” would be healthy for the soul and he also decided to change the menu a bit. Sure regular people were fun in all of their dim witted glory but hunters were even better since they had that little spark of wishful immortal about them.
He hadn’t been following his current target for very long…a few hours at most since he seemed to have the correct machoistic hunter air about him and the Trickster was as stated above bored to all hell. He had watched him shimmy into the sewer and his curiosity got the better of him and he followed where much to his amusement and intrigue there seemed to be shape shifters playing the whole gator in the sewer routine; that was one of his all time favorite tricks.
“Now see that right there…that was an epic waste of time if I ever saw one…” the Trickster muttered as the shape shifters scurried away from the hunter as soon as it had felt his presence. That right there was why he didn’t trust another supernatural being as far as he could throw them…and depending on his mode that could be rather far; they never could properly finish the job.
The Trickster watched amused as the hunter lowered himself down to the ledge. This hunter would be fun and he would have to pace himself with him so perhaps he would get to play "hunter" tonight he figured he could pass for one and he wouldn't even have to change clothes which was preferred as boredom usually brought about slothness...damn 7 deadly sins will get ya every time.
With a simple snap of his fingers he was gone from his place in the shadow and the very next moment he was directly behind the hunter peering over his shoulder with the up most silence.
“Whatcha looking for?” the Trickster asked with a smirk as his voice cut through the silence of the sewer.

Jon froze in place at the sound of a voice over his shoulder. He spun slowly on the spot and took a step back from the man he'd failed to notice standing there.
"Sir, I'm gonna need to see some ID, this is a closed off section of the sewer system and I'm afraid civilians can't be in here", he had delved deep into his accents and pulled up a rather impressive Bronx one. He made sure to keep any of his weapons out of sight, he was going to try and get the man to leave but that could get tricky.
"We have a possible gas leak and it isn't safe for you down here, I really need to see some ID pal."

"I need a fcking hobby." Alexis grumbled as she pulled herself up a maintance ladder into a larger tunnel.
She was extremely tired of looking for sewer rats. There was nothing tasty about and they were too small to really be filling, so her entire night was spent hunting for them. And since they were so small, she had to hunt multiple nights a week instead of just once. She made a plan-she was going to have to go to the country and kill herself a deer.
Alexis looked around the tunnel, tucking a few stray pieces of hair that had fallen out of her ponytail behind her ears. Her jeans and white tank top were coated in dirt and rat blood. She'd taken off her sweatshirt to protect herself from the irritating affects of iron and now wrapped it around her waist. All she wanted to do now was go home and turn on the jets in the bathtub. At least hunting humans, she could sit nicely in a bar or a club. Animals were such a mess.
Suddenly, Alexis caught a wiff of human. And not just any human. It was the scent that had been lingering in her bed for the past week. But on the other hand, she was sleeping from 4AM-6AM now. Alexis tried unsuccessfully to convince herself it had nothing to do with the scent.
What exactly is Jon Brunner looking for in the sewers? She thought as she walked towards the scent.
She caught sight of him immediately. Someone else was standing between them. And Alexis immediately noted that the other being wasn't human.
Not vampire...not demon....trickster? Alexis raised her eyebrows in surprise. She had only encountered those once before.
Silently, she positioned herself against the wall behind the Trickster, but in the line of Brunner's sight. Nodding towards the other man, she shook her head no, hoping Jon caught her meaning that he was not dealing with another human.

The Trickster's grin widened as the hunter tourned around to face him. This was a good choice after all he could so lots of damage and it hadn't been since the Winchesters that he was truley able to muddle the minds of a hunter. They were always a welcomed obstacle.
"Now who said I was a civilian?...Not finding it likely civis scamper down here on jack the Ripper tour...but you know I have been wrong before," The trickster replied leaning heavily against the wall next to him his eyes never faltering from the hunters.
"Gas leak?" The Tricksater exclaimed in mock horror before he broke out into a slight fit of laughter.
"Wasn't aware that is what gators in the sewer were going by these days...did you get that name approved by the Gator Sewer Guild?"
The ever faint shuffle of feet behind him caught the Tricksters attention and he would give them...whoever "they" were points for being silent but he was a demi-God after all; but in the name of the game he kept silent...for the moment about their newest guest.

Jon's jaw almost dropped sight as the last person he ever expected to see again crept silently down the sewer tunnel covered in blood and dirt. He felt several emotions go through him as he saw her but a major one was a slight fear as she shook her head towards the man. Whatever it was that bothered Alexis about him was probably twice as bad for Jon.
Now he was trapped in a sewer with shapeshifters disguised as alligators, whatever this guy was and a possibly pissed off Alexis.
Nobody ever said it was easy to be a hunter.
His mind raced with what the man could be, it was possible for him to be a shapeshifter but then why would that drive off the other one he'd seen. If he was a shapeshifter Jon could finish him off but if the guy wasn't Jon would be in for a world of pain. Whatever he did he had to avoid letting the man know Alexis was there, no matter what kind of history they had Jon wasn't about to let any harm come to her.
"Alright, I think you know what I'm doing here but the real question is what are you doing here?", Jon took a step back from the man, his priorities shifted. Now he had to find out what the man was, keep him from finding Alexis, hopefully not get his throat torn out by Alexis and still find the shapeshifters and any of their victims who could still be alive. Being a hunter was anything but easy.

Alexis smiled faintly as Brunner's eyes fell on her. Of course, he would see her now that she was covered in blood. It wasn't exactly the time to tell him it was rat either.
Technically, her work was done. She could leave now. Jon knew the man before him wasn't human. It was no more of her concern.
But she didn't leave. Alexis knew if something happened, she'd feel guilty. And she also knew that if she didn't know what had happened, that would drive her insane.
"This is easily the most crowded sewer tunnel I've ever seen." She strolled forward, putting herself between Brunner and the Trickster. She leaned back against the wall and folded her arms over her chest.
"I think the better question is what are any of us doing down here.....this isn't exactly Times Square."

“Me? Oh well I just came around for a midnight jaunt through the city sewers…it’s good for the respiratory you know.” The Trickster replied with a smirk as his eyes focused on the murky sewer water below the hunter for the faintest of moments before immediately going back to the man at hand.
The Trickster’s attention immediately snapped in the direction of a voice which no doubt belonged to the shadow which had been lingering in the sewer. The smile upon the Tricksters face grew slightly more amused as he realized exactly who it was. It was no stranger by any means but one he had run into before. One who had played a very well played game against a hunter they had stumbled across.
“Well now if it isn’t an old friend,” The Trickster said with a smile as he gave Alexis a nod once he had stepped between himself and the hunter.
“No not Time Square darling…but just as amusing,” the Trickster said his eyes snapping to the space directly behind the hunter where an abnormally large gator seemingly appeared out of thin air, to be accurate it did appear out of thin air…being a God certainly did have its advantages.

Oh great a friend of Alexis's, and here I was worried about one of them ripping me to pieces. Now I get these two plus whatever the hell else is down here.
Jon was frozen, he had no idea what to do. An ex-fling that had ended very badly, whatever this guy was, shapeshifters going around as giant gators, plus whatever else was down here.
"I take it you know each other then? How about this we all start by introducing ourselves and saying why we're here. You two can start", it was at that moment that Jon heard the scraping sound of something very large moving behind him on the platform they were standing on.
F#*&...

Wonderful, the Trickster remembered her. Just what Alexis had been hoping for. She shrugged.
"Sewer tunnels are flithly-but I suppose so is Times Square so I'll consider them roughly the same place."
Alexis flicked her eyes back and forth between the two. Something told her this was the wrong position...
"I'm not wasting time with introductions, nor do I care if either of you know what I'm doing down here."
Which wasn't true, she did want Jon to know, but she wasn't getting into that right now.
And there it was. A gator materialized behind Jon, no doubt the work of the Trickster.
"You know," Alexis pushed herself off the wall and walked passed Jon. She intentionally placed herself between him and the creature. "I always thought these things were urban legends. Who knew?"
If the gator made a move forward, it was going to have to go through her first.

“Sewers….graveyards…we really have to stop meeting like this,” the Trickster said to Alexis with a smirk. His eyes scanned the area for a moment but he did see anyone else with her.
“Left the kid at home tonight?” He asked in regards to the small demon child who had been the third player in their midnight play.
The Trickster had to stop himself from laughing….well no he really didn’t but he figured he should try as the hunter instructed it was the perfect time for a bit of meet and greet. That was one of so many reasons why hunters were some of the most amusing lot to play with.
“I think I’ll second the ladies veto on the sharing circle.”
An amuse glint flickered in the eyes of the Trickster as the giant gator came into full form behind the hunter. He figured arrogance would be these particular mans downfall but then again it could prove to be surprising yet. A small scowl crossed his face though as the woman saw fit to position herself in front of the gator. That was a position tat wouldn’t rightly work in the span of the game.
“He’s not for you darling,” the Trickster warned his eyes locking with Alexis’s for the briefest of moments.

What the hell is she doing?!?
He wasn't about to let Alexis get hurt for him and it confirmed that the man-creature was down here for him. He took a quick stock of the area they were in. Two stretches of landing with a river of sewage between them, they were on one and the other was roughly three foot away. There was no more time for talking now that the beast was right there.
Jon could feel the adrenaline flood his veins as things slowed and his mind raced. With a quick sidestep he found himself spinning Alexis behind him as he drew his sawn-off. He brought it up towards the gator's face and released the 00 buckshot into it's face. With two more steps he leapt to the other landing and took off. He heard the creature roar as it took off behind him. He spun around the corner using a pipe sticking out so he wouldn't slide. He'd let the other two work it out for now he wanted the gator as far away as possible from Alexis.
He stuck to taking corners since the gator would catch him in a dead run, mobility was his only defense. He found himself facing a large tunnel mouth as the sludge beside him began to race. He didn't stop as it led to a dead fall into a pool of sludge. He dropped down into it thinking the whole time that he'd thought things couldn't get any worse. There was a sound of a crash as the abnormal gator crashed in behind him.
He swam for a tunnel large enough to fit him but hopefully to small for the gator. He was safe for the moment but he was lost now even deeper in the sewers of New York with a giant pissed off gator, whatever that guy was and the shapeshifters that still roamed freely. His mind raced back to Alexis and what had become of her.

Alexis felt her back connect with the wall as Jon pushed her behind him and attempted to take on the gator. Apparently, his gunshots did nothing but anger the creature.
Of course, save the vampire before yourself. Alexis sighed. She had been just about to comment he should save himself before her, but apparently that was too late.
She knew full well she could take on the creature. Jon was resourceful, and if anyone could get out of this, he could. Besides, she could still smell him and she wasn't going to let him get lost in the tunnels. She'd go after him as soon as she got rid of the Trickster.
"Well, that makes for an interesting predicament." She looked back at the Trickster. "Now he's got a giant, angry gator after him and he's going to get himself lost. Care to follow? See what happens?"

Bloody monster gator and that f*#& of a man creature sending it after me.
Jon had kept himself occupied with cursing the existence of the man that had sent a giant gator after him. He'd been crawling through a tunnel that was barely two foot by two foot, blissfully to small for the gator but not exactly comfortable for Jon. He felt like he'd been crawling through the sludge for hours but it had only been about half an hour since he'd taken a dive into the sludge pit. Now he was soaked with god knows what and smelled of it to. Maybe the gator wouldn't be able to track him down, he would just have to watch how much noise he made.
Now all I have to do is find my way to the surface and get a bigger gun out of my tru- What the hell was that?
Jon heard a scraping sound and something large moving through the sewer. He turned to look out of a hole that led to the larger part of the sewer when a large set of teeth snapped the air an inch away from his nose. He drew his head back and stared into the eye of the creature that had been hunting him down this entire time. He drew back one of the silver bolts he'd brought for the shifters and plunged it into the creature's eye. It let loose a torrent of roars and squeals as it thrashed it's head around trying to dislodge the bolt. He silently laughed as he continued on to find a safe way out of the sewers.
He found a tunnel that would lead to the outside but to get to it he had to go across the exposed part of the sewer. Just as he lowered himself down the giant gator came charging at him. He leapt on top of the thing's head and held it's jaws shut. The beast thrashed it's head around with Jon holding on for dear life. Once, twice, three times Jon hit the top of the sewer tunnel, the last one knocking him out. The monster gator threw him down the tunnel, with Jon bouncing off the ground and coming to rest after he hit the wall at the end of the tunnel. Now he was unconscious with a pissed off gator less than forty feet away. His last thought before being knocked unconscious having been that things couldn't get any worse.

The Trickster watched with a certain amount of amusement as the hunter saw fit to shove the vampire put of the way and make himself a living and for the moment breathing fast food meal for the gator.
"Well that works far quicker then anything I had cooked up," the Trickster muttered with a smirk.
"Interesting indeed," the Trickster agreed with a sly smile as Alexis's voice pirced softly through the silence.
"Lost? Well that will never do I was thinking more along the lines of eaten but we'll see how resourceful he is on his own...see if he's worth that odd adoration you seem to be festering for the hunter?" The Trickster commented with raised eyebrows as he stared back at the vampire.
"That is so very Romeo and Juliet of the two of you...shall we see how your Romeo is faring or shall we just wait and listen for the screams in anticipation?"
