Shane listened to her as he swigged his beer again, but lightly this time. He positioned himself comfortably in his seat, feeling he had a lot of time on his hands now. Maybe, perhaps, a bit too much. He wondered what was on her mind, but then again, maybe she was some kind of psycho with twisted ideas on her agenda. Shane gave a mental shudder just picturing her with a meat cleaver or some other dangerous weapon.
"I take it you're a social person then?" inquired Shane politely, regarding to her saying 'so many more people'. He just asked any question that popped into his head that seemed important, so he could learn more about Belle.
"Well, I'm no one special. I uh travel a lot, and I am a private detective." Shane shrugged, taking a deep gulp of his beer so as to stall and get more time to think. "Secrets? What's the point of secrets, most only ruin you."

"Oh yes, I love to make new friends." Belle replied with a smirk at him, playing with her bottle for the moment rather than drinking any, glancing at him with a smile. "Though I do have a few select people I only choose to talk to. I'm a very fussy kinda person." She giggled. She then started to twirl a piece of hair around one of her fingers as she looked at him.
"A private detective huh? How cute...I bet you've come across loads of scary people in your line of work?" She asked him with a sweet smile. "And secrets are everyday life...I mean everyone has secrets..." She laughed, taking a little swig of beer, but still twirling her hair.

Shane let a light smile flicker his face for about a minute before it faded, though the look in his eyes was still inevitably alight. He took another sip out of his beer, feeling it was necessary to slow down a little. He noticed to himself that Belle had barely even touched the liquid inside her beer bottle. Shane bit his lip, forcing himself to look back up and into her eyes.
"It's not the people that worry me.... it's what happens to my partners." Shane nodded, his mind wandering back to when he had a hunting partner. Choosing to repress that sudden and horrible memory, he peered not so closely around at the other people. "That's true, but my secrets are very, very few."
