Dr. Cameron’s head snapped to the side and she struggled to pull her arm out of the vice like grip she found herself and she pulled herself away finally and stared wide eyed back at the man who had introduced himself as Sam’s superior. The behavior of both this gentleman and the young man who had seen fit to cause aggro in Sam’s room had began to make her question just what the hell was going on around her and as she stared back at the fearful eyes of the man before her she shook her head gently.
“Sam…. came out of surgery fine,” she started quietly, making her way down towards the nurses station with her notes “It’s bizarre Mr….erm? Sorry I didn’t catch your name.” she added quickly “He was fine and then….Sir we will need to have his family contacted. I need as much of his families history as I can get. Like if there is history of seizures, any serious illnesses I should be aware of…” Dr. Cameron stared back at the man and shook her head gently “They will also need to be informed that right now….it’s incredibly touch and go for Sam. He is in a coma, the machines that are breathing for him are the only thing right now that is keeping him with us.”
Dr. Cameron glanced behind the man and nodded to the nurse that had motioned her back towards Sam’s room, locking eyes with Sam’s superior again only briefly, she shot him an apologetic smile and began to move away from him. “I’m sorry I need to go back to him. As soon as his family arrive please have them find me sir. I need to know as much as I can to help him. And find his damn partner….he needs his injuries seen to before I have another Marshall laid up in bed.”

John followed her letting her arm go suddenly after grabbing it. He hadn't really meant to grab her and scare her, he was just worried thats all. "Hart, the name's Hart." He said quickly after the mentioned she didn't know it. It wasn't like it was all that important anyway, and he was toying with the idea that he should just tell her he's her family, I mean after all, it made things less complicated.
"I can tell you now, there's no history of seizures or any illnesses, but he has travelled around a lot recently, he might have contracted something." John explained with a slight shrug trying to get out a reasonable explanation, but even he knew that wouldn't hold up for long once they took a blood test. "Apart from that there's not much else...he's just pretty normal." John said, remembering when Sam was a kid, and even when he was a teenager when he was rebelling against him. Part of him missed that, even though he would never admit it. Sam always called him up on what he did wrong, and although it annoyed him at the time somewhere in the back of his mind, it was telling him he was right.
He was almost in shock when Dr. Cameron said his Sam was in a coma. "How is he in a coma then?! I need to know." John said to the doctor as she started looking behind him to another nurse. "Look..Look, look, I'm all the family he has, or as close as, all the rest of his family moved away a couple of years back, he doesn't really keep in contact with them. So I'm the best ya got." He told her, following her as she tried to walk away back into the room Sam was in.
He took his phone out his pocket, and rang Dean's number. Okay so technically you weren't supposed to have cell phones in hospitals but this was an emergency, and well he needed to be seen to as well. That hand wasn't going to get better of his own accord, and he needed at least one son fit and healthy to help get Sam out his deal. "Damm voicemail." John muttered to himself, pacing backwards in his tracks a few steps, before leaving the message.
"Dean, the doctor wants to see you as soon as. I'm nearly with Sam, he's in a coma at the moment so the doctor says, so get your ass back here right now!" He said to the voicemail.
Snapping his phone shut he turned back to the doctor. "I have to see him." He said to her, almost pleading, but not quite there yet.

Dr. Cameron listened intently as Mr. Hart began to explain that, to the best of his knowledge, Sam had no family history of serious illness or the like and she nodded her head firmly before moving away from him againh. "Thank you Mr. Hart, that's brilliant. I will still need a full family history as soon as you are able to contact them though." she said quietly, glancing over her notes for Sam and determined to go back to the patient as soon as possible.
Turning back to the man and staring at him confused for a moment as he seemed rather more desperate for news than would be expected from a superior officer, she closed the folder for Sam and stared back at him thoughtfully. "Sir...I can't explain how he came to be in the coma....because I have no true idea what happened myself. He was fine when he came down from surgery and then as I was checking him over he seemed to have a fit of sorts. If I knew any better I could have sworn he was...." Dr. Cameron shook the thoughts from her head quickly and turned away from the man again.
"I am sorry sir, Sam is in a critical condition right now. He can't have visitors. All I can feasibly allow is family, and even that would be unlikely at this given time. Please...." she whispered, motioning to a nearby seat "Please wait and I will give you news as I have it, or find your other officer and insist he gets help himself." she added gently, reaching out a placing a hand gently on to his arm before pulling it away.
"I understand this is hard sir....but I can't allow anyone to see him right now. Not until he is comfortable." she added quickly, pushing her way back into Sam's room and closing the door behind her.
