Chloe carelessly tossed her suitcase onto the floor of the motel room and inspected it. The room seemed clean enough, though it was a little plain. She cracked her neck which was still stiff from the 14 hour drive. Chloe had no idea why she driven for so long. Usually she stopped in the first town she came to and indulged herself in every kind of of pleasure there was. But, for some strange reason she was feeling restless and even now she didn't feel like sleeping. Not that she needed to, but sleeping was about as close as she could come to being a normal human being.
'I really need to stop reminding myself that I'm a demon' Chloe thought. She sighed and sat heavily on the edge of the bed. Honestly, being a demon had started to annoy her. Having powers was fun and everything, but when hunters attacked you everywhere you went for having those powers you would start to wish you didn't have them. It wasn't like she used her powers to hurt anyone either. She just used them to get people to do what she wanted.
'Damn hunters' Chloe thought rather violently. Her thought was emphasized by the crash of the lamp as it flew across the room and into the wall.
"I've gotta stop doin' that" She said. With a flick of her finger the remnants of the lamp were sent into the trash.
Chloe laid back against the pillows and waited for sleep to come. After half an hour she was still awake and she was still restless. She got up and grabbed her jacket. Maybe a walk would clear her head.

Ava had tried in vain to fall asleep for the better protion of the night. Brady had of course simply rolled voer after the 10:00 news and called it a night leaving Ava to toss and turn and all but want to rip her hair out at the roots at not being able to sleep. Though she wasn't sure if sleeping was any better as when she did fall into a sleep it was plagued by all of these vivid and blood chilling dreams which usually ended up in her waking up in a cold sweat and crying...so maybe no sleep was not a good thing.
Her eyes stared up pleading at the ceiling as Brady snored sftly beside her and Roxy purred gently at her feet and the clock ticked loudly from the hall; she had to get some air before she went totally nuts. Finally pulling herself out of the bed and slipping into jeans a tshirt and a jean jacket Ava made her way into the night. She had no real destination she just wanted to walk and think about anything but the fact that she had to be up in a few hours for work.
She pushed her hands into her pockets to keep them warm as she walked along the street kicking up a few stones as she went.

Chloe ran her fingers through her hair as she walked down the street, getting farther and farther away from the motel. Chloe didn't care how far she went from the hotel, she wasn't in a hurry to get back anyway. Suddenly, Chloe cried out in pain and fell to the ground as her legs buckled beneath her. As quickly as the pain had come it had gone, but it had left her breathing laboriously. Then she felt it again, but this time it was less intense and it felt more like it was pulling her towards something.
Chloe slowly got to her feet and the shock came again. She began walking toward whatever was causing the pain on autopilot. Her brain wasn't controlling her actions but her body was. Five more minutes of walking led to a nearly empty street save for the girl a little way ahead of her. That was when the feeling stopped as though she had found what she was looking for.
'Wait it couldn't be her, could it?' Chloe asked herself as she stared at the girl. 'Well there's only one way to find out.' Chloe strode up to the girl.
"Hello, I'm Chloe" she said.

Pat drove down a street, aching from the injuries delt by that hunter at the gas station.
"Damn..." He muttered through his helmet.
He had to find a place to stay. He parked his bike near a motel and as he got off of his bike he saw too silhouettes on the sidewalk approaching each other a little ways away.
"Well what do we have here..." He whispered to himself, his eyes flashing black and his face stretching into a malicious grin.
Pat quickly ducked beneath some bushes and made his way towards the figures.

Ava had been totally lost in her own little world allowing her mind to drift to more happier things like her adn Brady's wedding which they were planning for next year and how well thigns were going for them and what colors she should pick and just anything that didn't have to be along the lines of her seeing people die in her dreams or not ebing able to sleep at all.
Her head snapped up and her eyes went wide as a girl was standing almost directly in front of her and she hadn't even seen her walk up.
"Wow...you scared the the heck out of me," AVa said with a small smile trying to calm down her nerves; she was always jumpy in the middle of the night whe walking out in the dark...
"Ho Chloe...I'm Ava," she repleid with what she hoped was a sincere and friendly smile. She didn't really know the girl or why the girl would feel the need to talk with her in the dead of night but she figured weirder things would ahppen in her life and maybe the girl needed someone to talk to.
"Are you ok?...I mean is everything alright?" Ava asked kindly looking around before looking back at the girl.

"Yes, of course everything's fine with me. What about you? I'm guessing that you can't sleep." Chloe replied with the friendliest look she could manage.

Ava’s suspicions of the girl only grew ten fold by her simple answer to the question. Not that Ava had been expecting a sonnet or anything but it was rather odd for a stranger to come out of nowhere just to “chat” with a stranger.
“Yeah…um I’m fine…thanks…just out for a walk…exercise is good for you,” Ava said with a rather uncomfortable smile as a slight chill ran through her. There was something not right at all with this whole scenario and it was freaking her out in the worst sort of way.
“So um nice to have met you Chloe I’m gonna get back to walking…don’t want my heart rate to slow down or anything,” she said with a small shrug as she took a few more steps backwards and began to walk away.

Chloe watched as the girl began to back away and she knew that she had to do something to stop her from leaving. Then it came to her. She let out a deep breath and then dropped to the ground, pretending to faint.

Pat watched from the shadows in confusion as one of the women fainted.
"What the hell..." He muttered to himself as he prepared for his chance to strike.

Chloe played the part as best she could seeing as she had never pretended to faint before. She groaned and pretended to look conufsed hoping that the girl would stick around.

Ava had turned from the girl glad to be heading off in the other direction as the whole scenario had begun to freak her out more then just a little. She wasn't sure what it was about it that scraed her but something just wasn't sitting right with her and she wanted to get back home with Brady even if it meant she couldn't sleep.
Ava turned back around towards the girl as she heard a bit of a comotion and her eyes grew wide as she watched the girl collapse to the floor seemingly haing fainted.
"Crap," she exclaimed panicked not wanting to turn back but knowing she couldn't be a terrible person and just leave the girlo in the middle of the street. She quickly made her way back over to the girl and sunk to her knees to make sure she was ok.
"Hey...Chloe you ok?" Ava asked a bit of concern in her voice though she hadn't yet figured out if it was concern for herself or for Chloe.
"Please be ok..." AVa whispered her eyes scanning the area trying to see if there was anyone else around who might be able to help.

Pat decided to take a smarter course of action. Play it cool...for the moment.
"Is she okay?" Pat asked as innocently and kindly as demonly possible.
Pat emerged from the bushes, his Kris dagger safely concealed in his jacket. But then he got a strange scent from the girl who was out cold.
"A demon..." He whispered to himself.

Chloe focused her attention on the man who appeared above her. There was something definitley strange about him. Something familiar and it was just right there within the grasp of her mind, but she couldn't identify it. She shook her head and got up shakily still in her act.
She braced herself on the streetlamp and stared at him. Then it hit her, he was a demon.

Pat smiled at her, sinisterly, knowing she had figured it out.
"What are you looking at, beautiful?" He chuckled, venomously.

Chloe didn't reply. She stared at Ava, who was defintiely human even though she was very strange. Chloe knew that the other woman probably wouldn't survive if the other demon chose to attack.
"Erm, yes I'm fine Ava though I still do feel a little dizzy is there anywhere to sit down around here?"
