With Harper asleep, the drive to the nearby town was silent, though not necessarily peaceful. Liana was still too busy thinking of ways to keep the angels off their backs for the forseeable future. In theory, it shouldn't be too hard, but it would be nice not to be hunted down for a while. Though, when Lucifer showed up, she was pretty sure... she was hoping at least... that the angels would stop worrying about a telepath when they had the devil to fight off.
After about half an hour of plotting and planning, Liana pulled the car into the carpark of a motel and stopped. She sat for a moment, wondering how she was going to pay for anything considering she'd lost her credit cards and she knew that Harper had no money.
Oh well. She was a demon of witchcraft, she'd figure something out.
"Harper," she said softly, reaching over and touching his face lightly with the back of her hand. "Wakey, wakey."

When Harper had slipped into sleep in the passenger seat he shouldn't have been surprised that his dreams were a bit less then pleasent. But then again dreams tended to be less then pleasent after spending time in hell but just the same buried somewhere in the back of his mind Harper managed to hold on to the fact that Liana was there. Perhaps it was the fact that he hadn't fallen deeply asleep or perhaps subconciously he could feel her beside him.
"Harper, wakey, wakey."
Harper awoke only slightly startled as he stared back at Liana for a second his eyes blinking owlishly as her for a moment as the world around him fell into place. Glancing past Liana Harper noted the motel which lay outside of the car and figured that they must have arrived at their temporary safe haven.
"Where are we?" Harper asked with a yawn as he brushed the hair from out of his eyes.
Harper knew what they were attempting to do was dangerous but he needed time; if only a few hours to get his mind back into place before they had to worry about going off hiding from God and the Devil...literally. Even if heaven and hell weren't aware of it it gave Harper a good deal of peace to not have the extra voices in his head even if it was only temporary. He could at least hope it was permanent but there was no way of him to tell.

Liana smiled softly at Harper, almost relieved he'd actually woken up. Not that she'd expected him to be unconscious or anything, but what with being recently brought back from hell and vomiting blood, it would be just her luck that he'd fall unconscious too.
"Where are we?"
"Back in Cheyenne," she told him, pushing her door open and stepping out of the car. "Don't worry, not the same motel."
Though she supposed it wouldn't make a difference. Angels didn't have to use their eyes to look for someone... that was why this little 'pretending they weren't in danger' thing was going to be very short... at least until she could get ingredient for a hex bag... then they could pretend they weren't in trouble all they liked.

"Back in Cheyenne. Don't worry, not the same motel."
Harper glanced out the front windshield as Liana explained where they were. It was interesting to be back here considering the last time felt nearly ages ago; hell considering all that had occured it mine as well have been a life time ago. Pushing open his own door Harper pulled himself from the car allowing himself a few seconds the get his wits about him as the world tilted slightly out of focus around him before setteling down.
Harper glanced at the motel in front of them and then down at his dirt and blood clad clothing and then glanced at the world around them rather grateful to find nobody was around as he was certain no matter how much people liked to mind their own business they would notice a man who sort of looked like he had stumbeled out of a zombie movie.
"The devil is in the details," Harper replied with a shrug. He figured that if the angels wanted them they would no doubt be able to find them. But Harper was hoping that for the time they still thought he was dead and burning in hell and out of the hair for eternity.
Glancing back towards Liana he couldn't help but wonder what the future was going to hold for them. What sort of plans they were going to make but for the moment...sicne from experience he knew Liana wasn't a fan of too many questions at one time he kept them to himself.
"What now Bonnie?" Harper asked with a ghost of a smile in response to his own bad joke.

"What now Bonnie?"
Liana pulled a face at Harper before moving to the back of the car and popping the trunk, narrowing her eyes as she looked through it.
"Well Clyde, first I find a way to trick whoever runs this place into giving us a room," she said, finally finding what she was looking for and lifting it out of the trunk and slamming it closed.
"And then you are going to take a shower and get changed cause we can't have you wandering around covered in grave."
Locking the car, she made her way to the front door of the motel and pushed the door open slightly before turning back to Harper. "Then you'll have to give me a lesson in how exactly one would act when they're not aware they're in extreme danger."

Harper watched carefully as Liana made her way around the car.
"Well Clyde, first I find a way to trick whoever runs this place into giving us a room. And then you are going to take a shower and get changed cause we can't have you wandering around covered in grave."
"So you don't like the zombie look?" Harper asked attempting to brush off some of the sirt from the shirt he was wearing. He realized then it was a dress shirt...which also made him relaize he was in funeral clothes...which then made him realize he needed to focus on something else before he panicked again.
Harper was about to follow Liana into the lobby of the motel when he realized that it would probably not be in the best interest of their goal to go in after her looking like he had just crawled out of a grave.
"Then you'll have to give me a lesson in how exactly one would act when they're not aware they're in extreme danger."
Harper frowned slightly as he thought on Liana's words. It dawned on him that perhaps she had never just chilled out; shut down and did nothing. Since that was more then likely the case Harper attempted to sort out ideas of what he could do to show Liana that perhaps the world not running from death could be just as amusing and a lot less stressful.

"So you don't like the zombie look?"
Liana winked at him and tossed the bundle in her arms to him. Inside was a change of clothes that she hoped fit Harper. She wasn't entirely sure of his size, but she thought she had guessed right.
Stepping into the motel lobby, Liana put on her best 'I'm totally an innocent girl and not a demon' smile, and made her way towards the attendant at the desk. It didn't take long... Liana didn't think the young woman behind the desk was very bright. It only took five minutes for her to convince the girl that the emptiness in her hand was actually a large was of cash that could be used to pay for the room.
Liana pushed the door open, still shaking her head at the attendant's gullibility, and looked questioningly at Harper. "Coming?"

Harper smirked as he managed to catch the bundle Liana had tossed to him before she entered the lobby of the motel. Shifting through the bundle Harper noted that there wa some clothes adn other randome odds and ends in it which would help them get by for the time being and help him appear not so much like a zombie which was always a plus.
"Coming?"
Harper stared dumfounded at the lobby door and then back to the key in liana's hand. he had no idea what she had managed to do to get that key but he was gonna trust in teh fact that there wasn't a dead body in the lobby...he really hoped there wasn;t a dead body in teh lobby.
Makign his way voer to Liana Harper continued to glance back at the motel lobby.
"You didn't kill anyone right?" Harper asked only about half joking. From what Harper knew Liana was rather good at killing things though he would liek to think that was behind her now...behind her...ish if Harper could help it.

"You didn't kill anyone right?"
Liana rolled her eyes at Harper. "Have a little faith," she said, mock hurt in her voice as she gestured at the perfectly healthy though stupid attendant. The attendant smiled and waved at them cheerily. "See?"
She lead the way down the hall towards their room and pushed the door open, ushering him inside.
"Is this suitable for relaxing?" she aksed, looking around the room. Her memories of motel rooms weren't exactly relaxing. Once upon a time they would've been, but rewatching torture in her mind no longer had the same effect it used to. Nowadays it just sort of made her sick.

"Have a little faith...See?"
Harper glanced behind them at the smiling and waving motel attendant and waved slightly back at the girl. Well that was a relief.
"Just checking," Harper explained with a small shrug.
Harper followed Liana into the hotel room and immediately glanced around the room. His thoughts came quickly back to the last time he had been in a hotel room and he attempted to push them away as this was most certainly not the time for another melt down. He was going to do his damndest to keep those away from Liana; she had done enough for him she didn't need him freaking out every 5 minutes on top of it all.
"Is this suitable for relaxing?"
Harper made his way the rest of the way into the room his eyes glancing around it as if he was in teh middle of an extensive investigation. Picking up a nearby pillow he threw it back at Liana.
"It'll do just fine," harper stated with a smile as he looked back at her.
He was rather certain he looked like somethig out of a horror movie covered in blood and dirt but just the same Liana looked perfect int eh entrance way to the hotel and that was what mattered in the long run. It was funny really; he had lost everything an gain everything at the same time.

Liana watched as Harper examined the room, wondering exactly how thorough his investigation would need to be to decide if the room was okay to be inhabited to the next few hours. Honestly... it's not like they were planning on moving in. She emitted a surprised grunt as she was hit in the face with a pillow, catching it as it dropped.
"It'll do just fine,"
"Good to know," she said, tossing the pillow back to him. "Now go and get changed, you zombie, then come back and tell me all about how normal people relax."
She wandered the room, examining it herself, automatically searching for alternative exits and things she could turn into weapons. She wasn't entirely sure but she thought that that was not what relaxing was.

"Good to know; now go and get changed, you zombie, then come back and tell me all about how normal people relax."
Harper smiled slightly as Liana tossed the pillow back in his direction. Catching it and allowing it to drop back to the bed. He faked a look of hurt as Liana refereed to him as a "zombie."
"Now look at you with the lack of respect for the undead," Harper said as he gathered up the clothes Liana had given to him and headed into the bathroom closing the door behind him. Dropping the clothes on the counter Harper stared back at the reflection in front of him. For several moments it felt as if he was staring back into the eyes of a stranger.
He was covered in dirt and blood and God only knew what else. But even behind the dirt he could see how pale his skin was and how shallow looking his eyes appeared. He looked like hell...which was fitting all things considered.
Turning the water on in the sink Harper splashed his face with several handfuls of water until he opened his eyes and stared back into a face that was semi familiar to him. Blinking several times Harper winced slightly as the lights in the bathroom seemed to be exceptionally bright.
Dragging himself to the shower Harper turned on the jet and allowed the water to reach near burning temperatures before peeling off his clothes and stepping into the scorching stream of water.
He stood there for what felt like hours allowing the hot stream of water to burn across his flesh till the blood and dirt was gone leaving his skin with nothing but a pink tint to it from the heat of the water. Leaning against the tile of the shower and allowing the water to pound at his back Harper allowed his eyes to slip shut for several moments.
Harper wasn't sure why or how but his breath suddenly caught in his throat and he found himself coughing as he struggled to catch his breath; the coughing soon turned to gasping and Harper stumbled to the tile floor of the shower his hands grasping at the floor as he struggled for breath choking on the blood which was seeping from his lips.
As quick as it had rolled upon him the panic attack was gone leaving Harper a shaking mess upon the floor the water in the shower long since gone cold. Finding the strength from God knows where Harper pushed the faucet off and pulled himself out of the tub wrapping a towel around him as he sat upon the cold tile floor shaking enough that he was certain he would break apart if he didn't stop.
Pulling the t-shirt from the counter Harper managed to force it over his head and a few moments later he managed to struggle into the jeans Liana had given to him. He felt utterly exhausted once he had managed to dress himself and could hardly care that his hair was still dripping wet; instead he curled up with his head against the door and allowed his eyes to slip shut from exhaustion.

It may have just been because Liana never actually had time, but it usually only took her two minutes maximum to have a shower. Harper on the other hand, seemed to take hours. Seriously, how long did it take for one human to get clean? Granted this time he was actually extremely unclean... but still... hours? Really?
In an attempt to practice the whole 'relaxing' thing, Liana had stopped scoping out the room and sat herself down on the bed, reading the bible she had found in the bedside drawer. She'd never actually read it before, and as she did, she was amazed. They'd left out so much. The reason Lucifer fell - at least the reason demons were told - and Lilith wasn't even in there. Frowning, Liana wondered why they would write a book about the history of the world and then leave half of it out.
Finally the sounds of the shower ceased and she waited for Harper to emerge from the bathroom. Nothing. She waited a few more minutes, figuring he would need time to dress and such. Still nothing. Was something wrong? Liana berated herself silently for being so paranoid, but she couldn't stop herself from crossing the room to the bathroom and knocking on the door... just to check.
"Harper?" she called. "Are you alright?"

It was not the most comfortable position to sleep in in the world...cold tile...hard floor but just the same Harper didn't rightly care; he felt utterly exhausted so there for the hard floor and felt like the best place in the world to allow himself a moment to close his eyes. Of course he hadn't meant to fall asleep there though he would be willing to bet he hadn't been asleep long before a knock on the door caused him to nearly jump out of his skin.
"Harper? Are you alright?"
Brought suddenyl to alert Harper stared wide eyed at the door for several moments as the concious world seemed to fall into place around him.
"Yeah...I'm ok," Harper muttered wincing out how strained his voice sounded; as if somebody had taken a cheese grater to his throat.
Pulling himself on to unsteady feet Harper gulped down several mouth fulls of air as his hands gripped the edge of the sink. He didn't need Liana to worry; she had done enough for him he wouldn't cause her to worry herself now as well. Whatever this was he could deal with it himself.
His hair was still dripping wet and his skin extremley pale as he pulled open the and forced a slight smile.

"Yeah...I'm ok,"
While a reply meant that he was at least alive, Liana was pretty sure he was lying. He didn't sound okay, and the second he opened the door she noticed he didn't look okay either. His skin was too pale, his smile too forced. He didn't look okay at all.
She reached out a hand and touched the side of his face lightly. "Are you sure?" she asked, trying to supress the concerned frown that was slowly making its way across her face. "Cause really need you to help me with this whol relaxing thing... I tried it by myself but it just confused me."
She was trying to make light of the whole thing to cover up her worry... though she didn't think it was working. Side effects worried her... and Liana didn't think she would know what to do if they continued... or got worse. It wasn't like she brought people back from the dead all the time.
